     How long is Hogwarts Legacy?

How long is Hogwarts Legacy? A large chunk of the wizarding world is open to you once Hogwarts Legacy releases this February, but how many hours does it take to finish off the school year? If being on time and passing your classes isn't enough, you'll have all manner of fantastic beasts and goblin uprisings to deal with.

It's always tough to pin down just how long it will take someone to beat an open-world game.      Steam has a new most-expensive game, and the creator says don't buy it

Gaming platform Steam is filled with wacky, wonderful, and sometimes woeful releases. With hundreds, if not thousands, of new games being released every day it can be difficult to stand out from the crowd; a stellar Steam game either needs a hook, great visuals, or some left-field marketing. So, what if someone made their game the newest, most expensive title on the platform, but also says you shouldn't buy it?

Dreamlight Valley Encanto update includes Mirabel and Olaf

A Dreamlight Valley Encanto update has been announced as the first part of the 2023 roadmap for the Disney game, bringing the lovable Mirabel Madrigal to the valley. However, in an unexpected twist, Gameloft has hinted that she'll be joined by none other than Frozen's adorable sentient snowman Olaf, who will be reunited with his old friend Anna and Elsa.

The next Dreamlight Valley update is just around the corner as Gameloft continues with their regular content updates to the early access game - and one of the best PC games of 2022. The developer knows how to keep its fans hooked by adding new Dreamlight Valley characters every couple of months, but it had been a bit quiet since the ability to unlock Stitch was added to the Disney game. Finally, an entire Dreamlight Valley 2023 roadmap for the first half of the year has been revealed, so here's what we know about the arrival of the family Madrigal's iconic Mirabel, and the chilly little snowman Olaf.

Despite being in early access, the Disney game cemented itself as one of the best PC games of 2022, with regular content updates, a vibrant community, and speedy and regular patches when bugs are found. Looking forward to the Genshin Impact 3.5 release date? While the 3.4 update is currently underway, there's plenty to look forward to in 3.5. If the latest leaked banners reruns are anything to go by, it appears players may finally see a long-awaited character making their return.

The devs have confirmed two Genshin Impact new characters coming to the free PC game: Dehya and Mika. Dehya has been teased since 3.0 with the introduction of Sumeru, and Mika is a brand new Cryo character that could synergise well with the best characters on our Genshin Impact tier list. Creating the best Genshin Impact Mika build is a surprisingly easy task as his abilities make him the perfect candidate as a physical DPS support character. We've seen four-star characters like this in the past like Gorou and Faruzan - these characters were designed to fight alongside their five-star counterparts.

While Mika was unveiled ahead of the 3.4 update on the Genshin Impact Twitter account, it didn't take long for datamined leaks to reveal the Mika banner and abilities. If Mika is paired with the five-star DPS character we believe is coming back to the free PC game in a banner rerun, he could become essential in some parties.      Half-Life 2 Episode One VR gameplay makes the gravity gun fun

The gravity gun in Half-Life 2 has always been a sticking point for me. One of the strongest gimmicks in the Valve and Steam FPS game, it adds an imaginative twist to Gordon Freeman's standard shooting and killing. But in the later levels especially, it feels a bit cumbersome. Without your full weapon arsenal, combat gets a little repetitive. Thank the benefactors, then, for the upcoming Half-Life 2 Episode One VR port, which judging by its new gameplay footage, makes the zero point energy field manipulator look more fun than ever.

Is Harry Potter in Hogwarts Legacy?

Is Harry Potter in Hogwarts Legacy is a question on all our minds. After all, The Boy Who Lived is why we Muggles even know about the magical School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as Hogwarts itself was introduced to us through his own eyes all the way back in 1997 (feel old, yet?). And let's not forget the incredible Harry Potter games from the early noughties and their hilarious, clunky graphics, which will never be forgotten. All of this, of course, leads us to wonder whether our favourite bespectacled wizard will join us at Hogwarts this time around.

As it's not just Harry, what about his now famous friends Ron and Hermione? Perhaps even Hagrid? Will they appear as playable Hogwarts Legacy characters or NPCs in the long-awaited spinoff that has the potential to be one of the best PC games this year? Can we expect to meet an entirely new ensemble of wand-wielding witches and wizards in the Hogwarts Legacy commons rooms, classrooms and halls?

     Best MW2 RAAL MG loadout

Curious about the best RAAL MG loadout for MW2? The RAAL-MG features on our list of the best Modern Warfare 2 LMGs, and for good reason. As with most LMGs, its rapid-fire performance means it boasts a high time-to-kill rate, and its damage output means you only need to get a few shots on target to take them out. The Modern Warfare 2 Gunsmith system grants you the opportunity to build off the RAAL MG's robust base stats even further, in order to mitigate its comparatively low mobility.

Our MW2 RAAL MG loadout goes to great pains to avoid attachments that apply nerfs to your aim down sight speed, since this stat is absolutely crucial for landing precision shots with the RAAL MG. This weapon has been making a splash in Warzone 2, so it's worth leveling it up in Modern Warfare 2 so you can customise it in the free PC game. It also opts for bonuses for recoil management and sprint speed, so that you can dominate the leaderboards of Activision's FPS game. Without further ado, here's the best RAAL MG loadout in MW2.

Best Warzone 2 RAAL MG loadout for Season 1 Reloaded

The best Warzone 2 RAAL MG loadout gives you immense damage over range and is easily one of the best guns in the battle royale game right now. The RAAL MG has a two-shot kill potential at any distance, and zero recoil after the first five shots fired. It is, however, very heavy, with a slow ADS speed.

Here's how to negate those negatives to make the RAAL MG the best Warzone 2 LMG it can be. High damage and good control over extreme distances are very rare qualities in this battle royale game sequel, so this really can be one of the best Warzone 2 guns with the right setup, helping you secure win after win in the free PC game.

Thanks to the joys of late code delivery, a few of us are just now getting to grips with talkative Squeenix ARPG Forspoken. While Alice Bee hammers her review together, I've been on my usual hardware bullshit, mainly investigating the peculiar system requirements that were released last week.

These aren't just an odd collection of specs because of the sheer weight and breadth of their demands; they also overtly target resolutions and framerates that hardly anyone is going to be engaging with. Who on desktop plays at 1280x720? Fewer than 0.3% of Steam users, apparently. And personally, if I've spent the cash on a 1440p gaming monitor, I probably wouldn't be satisfied to watch it display my games at just 30fps. I've therefore been finding out what PC hardware Forspoken actually needs to run both smoothly and at more realistic resolutions. Maybe then we can update those system requirements to create some very-much-unofficial, but hopefully more useful, spec guidelines.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Sephiroth

Square Enix shared detailed images of Sephiroth's redesign for Final Fantasy VII Remake. This included a look at some of the finer details of his outfit. Including the various motifs the developers put into this redesign. While Sephiroth's gravity-defying bangs were integral to his character design, Final Fantasy VII Remake opted for a more "realistic" spin on the hairstyle. Additionally, his belt features a wing motif with several, additional black wings hanging from it.

You can take a look at the Final Fantasy VII Remake Sephiroth redesign images below.

[embed]https://twitter.com/FFVIIR_CLOUD/status/1618171829272678402[/embed]

The images also show the material chosen for the individual parts of his outfit. This includes the iconic leather coat and gloves associated with Sephiroth. His pauldrons also have some battle damage, and additional pattern detailing at the edges. His appearance doesn't differ too greatly from how the character appeared in Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core and Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. Bar the belt featuring the wing motifs.

Sephiroth was featured in the FFVII Remake January 2023 calendar. The image used for the calendar was a screenshot from FFVII Remake, set in black and white.

SuperGroupies New Bayonetta Merchandise Involves a Backpack

Once again, SuperGroupies is taking orders for Bayonetta merchandise, with this second run adding a backpack and long wallet to the collection. Both items are expected to appear in "late" August 2023. The wallet is the cheaper of the two items at $160. The backpack is $240. All items are based on Bayonetta's appearance in the original game.

First, the Bayonetta long wallet is black and features a red ribbon-like stripe with her name in the Infernal Alphabet. It also has a golden chain with a lipstick bullet charm attached. The inscription "Balder and Rosa: With Love Until the End of Time" is on that. The wallet has her "Let's Dance, Boys!" quote on it with an embossed kiss. The lining features things like the Infernal Alphabet and Beast Within transformations. It is made of fake leather and is over seven and a half inches long.

The Bayonetta backpack is also black and made of fake leather. It has the same sort of lining as the wallet. There are Umbra Witches insignias, a rose like the one on her outfit, and again her name is in the Infernal Alphabet on the red straps. It is almost 18 inches tall and 12 inches wide, and the main pocket can hold items that are about 9.8 inches by 13.9 inches.

As a reminder, this isn't the first time Supergroupies offered Bayonetta merchandise. This is basically its second batch. The first wave included a $130 necklace, a $280 jacket, and a $320 watch.

Pre-orders for the SuperGroupies new Bayonetta merchandise are open until February 12, 2023. Bayonetta 3 is available for the Nintendo Switch. The next game in the series will be Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, which will come to the Switch on March 17, 2023.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners Clothes

A new line of Cyberpunk Edgerunners clothes was announced by clothing brand Vaultroom. It will be sold online and at retail in Japan. The line includes items designed to evoke David Martinez and Lucy Kushinada, the lead characters of Studio Trigger's Cyberpunk Edgerunners. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

Unlike the gadget-equipped "techwear" worn by many of the characters in Cyberpunk 2077 and in the series, the Vaultroom Cyberpunk Edgerunners clothes line consists of more prosaic 21st-century apparel. These include hoodies, T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, jackets, and hats. The items will be sold in Vaultroom stores located in Tokyo, Sendai, and Hiroshima, as well as via its online shop.

The designs heavily incorporate the Edgerunners logo David Martinez wears on his jacket. A stylized "E|R", the glyph-like design appears as a common element on all the items. Similarly, the Edgerunners logo rendered in mixed fonts also figures into the look. A slot image showing David or Lucy's eyes is stitched into the front, as well. A final design focuses on the Vaultroom mascot, dressing it in David's distinctive yellow crystaljock bomber. Buyers will also receive stickers that show off the images incorporated into the clothing.

The Vaultroom x Cyberpunk Edgerunners clothes prices range from 8,800 Yen ($68 USD) for a t-shirt to 88,000 Yen (about $680 USD) for a leather bomber jacket.

[gallery size="medium" link="file" ids="948295,948296,948297,948298,948299,948300"]

The Vaultroom x Cyberpunk Edgerunners clothing line is on sale in Japan. The series is viewable through Netflix. Items based on the series are also obtainable via free DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, which has an expansion coming in 2023.

Neptunia Sisters Endings

It might not be apparent at first glance, but Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters has multiple endings, and acquiring most of them is a prerequisite for earning all the game's trophies and achievements. With that in mind, we've come up with a quick, spoiler-free guide to earning all three Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters endings.

How many endings are in Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters?

Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters has three endings to unlock: A Normal Ending, A True Ending, and a Bad Ending. Getting the True ending is needed to earn the game's full trophy/achievement list, but the Bad Ending is fully optional, so you can skip earning it if you wish.

What do I need to do to unlock each ending?

Unlocking each Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters ending is fairly simple, but it's almost entirely dependent on the in-game "Shares" mechanic.

During the game, you'll be able to check a little "Shares" gauge in the corner of the screen that measures the relative power of the Gameindustri Goddesses versus the dastardly rPhone. This percentage starts at 99:1 in the rPhone's favor, but grows over time as you make progress in the story. You can see it on the map and party screens.

[gallery columns="1" size="medium" link="file" ids="948266"]

The ratio of Goddess-to-rPhone Shares during the final set of events leading up to the end of the game in Chapter 12 will determine whether you get the True, Bad, or Normal ending.

What are the Share ratio requirements needed to unlock each ending?

The needed share ratios to unlock the different Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters endings are simple to understand.

If the Goddesses lose the market battle with the rPhone, you get the Bad ending.

If the Goddess regain their dominance and utterly crush the rPhone's shares, you get the Normal ending.

In spirit of healthy competition, the True Ending demands that the Share ratio between the Goddesses and the rPhone be equal.

Here are the share ratio thresholds you'll need to hit by the end of the game to properly trigger each ending. Many thanks to Japanese site Game Tamashii  and Grim Tsushin for helping figure out the detailed percentages.

  • Bad Ending = Goddess Shares are under 30%
  • Normal Ending = Goddess Shares are at or above 70%
  • True Ending = Goddess Shares and rPhone Shares are both at 50%

Unfortunately, getting this even ratio can be tricky, considering that it's very easy to get over the Normal ending threshold just playing naturally. That means you'll likely have to try to artificially lower your Share percentages to keep from enacting a complete blowout.

Luckily, there are some things you can do to manipulate your Share thresholds.

What can I do to manipulate my Share ratio in Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters?

Your Share ratings can actually go down in Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters if you play badly enough. You can also do certain activities to drop your Share ratings a few percentage points. To make things easier on yourself, seed these little bits of self-sabotage into your activities as you play, so that you don't end up having to "grind" your way to the True ending. You'll also want to maintain multiple saves, so you can roll back if you accidentally get an ending you're not aiming for.

[gallery columns="1" size="medium" ids="948267" link="file"]

Here are the activities that can raise the Goddess Share rating:

  • Characters leveling up
  • Accomplishing quests acquired from Chirper
  • Liking "good" messages on Chirper (these are displayed with WHITE text)

Here are activities that can lower the Goddess Share rating:

  • Party members getting KO'd in battle
  • A party wipeout in combat (all three members KO'd)
  • Liking "bad" messages on Chirper (these are displayed with RED text)
  • Cancelling out of a Disc Development session

[gallery columns="1" size="medium" ids="948268" link="file"]

Of all the activities available to you, cancelling a Disc Development is by far the most reliable way to manipulate your Shares downward. You'll want to have a surplus of DC points and to be able to spam Disc Developments to cancel, but you'll earn tons of it through normal battle, anyway. Once you get into the ballpark number of 50:50, you can use your Chirper activity to push it up or down a couple of points as needed.

Getting to that threshold and then clearing the game should propel you into the True Ending.

Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters is available on PS4, PS5, and PC. Check out Siliconera's official review.

Hoshimachi Suisei Stella Stella The First Take

January 20, 2023 marked the first time a VTuber performer took to the mic at popular YouTube channel The First Take. Hoshimachi Suisei, a Hololive-affiliated VTuber, performed her original song "Stellar Stellar" on the channel. Less than a week later, her performance has surpassed 6 million views.

The milestone makes Suisei's song the most popular First Take performance in January 2023. It's also the most popular performance on the channel since October 2022, when EDM-pop group Wednesday Campanella performed "Edison" and cleared 10 million views.

Check out her performance of "Stella Stella" from her album Still Still Stellar below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAsRtnbDs-0

The First Take (aka The F1rst Take) is run by Sony Music Entertainment Japan, and invites performers to sing songs of their choice on camera. Its gimmick is "One Take, One Life," meaning that the invitees perform in a single take, as if they're live on stage. The channel typically features Japanese talent, such as LiSA, YOASOBI, Aimer, and more, but performers from outside the country, like Harry Styles, have also appeared. It has more than 7 million subscribers, and has amassed over 2.7 billion views since it was founded in late 2019.

Suisei's performance hitting 6 million views is a milestone, although compared with the other artists that have appeared on The First Take since 2019, it's in the middle of the range. The most popular video on the channel is Takumi Kitamura (leader of DISH//) singing "Neko (Cat)." Since it was uploaded in 2020, it has gathered over 195 million views.

Hoshimachi Suisei streams from her YouTube channel. Her second album, Specter, is available for purchase and streaming from various services.

Blue Protocol Network Test

As promised, Bandai Namco's Blue Protocol development team delivered more information about the recently delayed Blue Protocol Network Test. In a brief livestream and via a post on the official site, the team said that the test is expected to be held in late March 2023. It was originally scheduled to happen on January 14, 2023.

According to the post, the team is still investigating the issues that caused them to decide to postpone the test in the first place. Though they didn't get into extensive detail about the problems, they know what causes them and how to fix them. What remains to implement and check the solution. That takes time, which explains the length of the Blue Protocol network test delay. The team apologized for not being able to detail a more specific schedule for the test, but promised an update in late February 2023.

During the broadcast itself, the team did explain one of the more persistent issues affecting the network test schedule. In summary, previous tests and internal checks revealed issues that have to do with the way the game manages player load across the different servers that make up the game world.

Blue Protocol uses an "auto-scaling" system to manage network resources. It allocates these resources dynamically across the various servers. Different groups of servers serve different areas of the game, but can be assigned resources as needed. For example, areas with many players present in real time will be allocated additional resources to reduce instances of network lag, and so on. The problems that emerged are related to the "scaling logic", the automated process that determines how these resources are allocated and re-allocated. The issues were affecting play within parties, causing players to disappear or drop out when trying to load into missions or other areas together. It also affected issues like chat messages being delayed or failing to send properly. As such, the Blue Protocol network test is being delayed to adjust the auto-scaling system and its scaling logic to ensure players have a smoother experience.

Blue Protocol is in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. It is targeted for release on PC in Spring 2023 in Japan, with other regions and platforms to follow through 2023. The network test will occur in late March 2023, with more information on the exact schedule expected in late February 2023.

ichiban kuji hololive

A second Hololive Bandai ichiban kuji lottery will appear starting April 22, 2023. It will cost 780 JPY per spin and, as usual, you will be able to find the lottery in locations like convenience stores and anime goods shops. Prizes include merchandise of Shirakami Fubuki, Tokino Sora, and Sakura Miko. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

Usually, Bandai ranks ichiban kuji prizes with an alphabetical system. So the A Prize is the grand prize, and the further down you go, the smaller the prize is. However, just like last time, there is no particular order for the prizes. Bandai has divided them based on the Hololive member or the goods type.

There are no pictures yet for the Hololive Ichiban Kuji lottery. But the prizes available are:

  • Tokino Sora Prize
  • Shirakami Fubuki Prize
  • Sakura Miko Prize
  • Nekomata Okayu Prize
  • Shiranui Flare Prize
  • Tsunomaki Watame Prize
  • Shishiro Botan Prize
  • Sakamata Chloe Prize
