PCGamesN Thursday, February 16, 2023 6:57 PM  A Destiny 2 character boost will let players pay to skip the Lightfall campaign on their alternate characters (alts) after completing it on their main, removing a significant headache for players who don't want to replay the campaign to access endgame content on multiple characters. This new campaign skip is in addition to the existing character boost that allows players to skip the FPS game's gear grind - having reached the game's soft power cap with one character, they can pay for an armour set at that cap for their alts, so there's precedent for this kind of thing. The news comes in the latest issue of This Week at Bungie, the Destiny developer's weekly update. The TWAB doesn't say how much Guardians will have to pay to skip the campaign on secondary characters, but the existing paid power boosts cost 200 Silver, or roughly $20, so we shouldn't assume it'll be cheap. Both the campaign skip and the Lightfall power skip will be available in-game as of Destiny 2 season 20 and the Destiny 2 Lightfall release date, for those that meet the necessary requirements to activate them.

Shufu to Seikatsusha announced the release of a new Genshin Impact fan book in Japan. The book includes content up to version 2.8 of the game. It includes guides for the story, characters, and the map, along with a glossary of terms from the game, a character relationship chart, cast interviews, and a gallery full of illustrations. The expected release window is Spring 2023, and it will cost 3,278 JPY (roughly $24). Pre-orders open on February 17, 2023 at 10am JST. [Thanks, Game Watch!] The cover features Venti, Zhongli, Shogun Raiden, and Nahida. The fan book is 224 pages long, and it covers content up to version 2.8 of Genshin Impact. This includes the story, characters, and events included after the inclusion of Inazuma, along with some other elements released during 2022. The current version of Genshin Impact is 3.4, and patch 3.0 added the new region of Sumeru. Capcom and airsoft gun manufacturer Tokyo Marui are collaborating to release release a new airsoft gun designed after Leon S. Kennedy's starting handgun in the Resident Evil 4 remake. The replica model is called "SG-09 R," and the toy is set to release in late March 2023 in Japan. It will cost 32,800 JPY (roughly $244 USD). [Thanks, Hobby Watch!] The "SG-09 R" airsoft replica comes with a special magazine, titled "Survive Magazine #18," and it contains a report on the features of the gun. Additionally, the airsoft gun also includes two extra magazines. The packaging of the toy is designed to replicate the same container that Leon's gun uses in the game. The reproduction includes a serial number on the left side of the pistol slide, and the Kendo logo is engraved on its right side, a reference to Resident Evil character and guns manufacturer Robert Kendo. When My Time at Portia launched on the Switch, people reported issues with the frame rate and lag could be a problem. Now, Pathea Games shared a new survey asking for feedback on the state of the game. It's a very brief one, functioning more as an error report with support to alert the company as to issues. Before taking part in the My Time at Portia Switch frame rate and lag survey, it is wise to compile any data you might have regarding problems. This is because it is essentially a one-question report. It first asks about frame rate drops and lag in the game. The developer also requested specific details about it. Some examples included the exact quest when the problem came up. It might also be valuable to note things like how many characters were also present on-screen and what you were doing when the incident happened. The form also offers an opportunity to share a screenshot or video of the incident in question.
