Best Elden Ring summons and spirit ashes locations

Elden Ring summons and spirit ashes can help make the latest game from FromSoftware a little less daunting for new players. It's a way of changing the difficulty level a smidge, as these spirits of fallen souls you can conjure can take a particularly tough enemy's focus off you in combat, allowing you to heal.

These spirits appear in many forms in the open-world game, from skeletal warriors and deadly plants to creatures like wolves, serpents, and winged monsters.  Sadly, it's not as simple as tapping a button to summon your spirit pal, you have to search and obtain the spirit ashes first. However, they can also be upgraded using Elden Ring Grave or Ghost Glovewort; plants found across the Lands Between.

The best Elden Ring weapon arts and skills

Want to know about Elden Ring weapon arts? Most of the armaments in Elden Ring feature a unique weapon art, which functions the same as skills in Dark Souls III. Weapon arts give players additional action on their armament, ranging from performing a lunge attack to summoning lightning to attack nearby enemies. These skills can drastically affect how you approach enemies, and the weapon scaling can be altered to match your most used stat points.

Many weapons come with default weapon arts, but you can use Elden Ring Ashes of War to change the skill on most weapons. Some of the best Elden Ring weapons come with unique - and powerful - weapon skills that can't be changed. It's also important to note that certain Ashes of War can only be used on specific types of equipment. Picking the correct weapon art is vital to perfecting your Elden Ring build, giving you the upper hand against Elden Ring bosses.

Best Atomic Heart skills and skill trees explained

Atomic Heart skills take inspiration from the likes of Bioshock or Fallout, bolstering various aspects of your loadout. While melee and ranged weapons can be upgraded via crafting machine NORA, your character utility and polymer glove abilities can only be enhanced by unlocking skills in the relevant skill trees. Not only can Atomic Heart skills strengthen the core elements of your kit, they can also open up new synergies, making build experimentation viable as you battle through Sechenov's synthetic creations.

You can unlock Atomic Heart skills by spending Neuropolymer, though the amount you'll need for each upgrade differs. Starting from the middle of each skill tree, you can unlock more skills whenever you like, provided you have the requisite Neuropolymer in the FPS game. Here's everything you need to know about the best Atomic Heart skills.

The Witcher Remake release date speculation

Want to know when The Witcher Remake release date is? Given that this remake of the classic PC RPG game has only recently been announced, it's far too early to tell when exactly you can play it. However, some of you may want to know more about the ambitious remake of the first Witcher adventure and if it's the best place to hop into the series.

The original was far from the best PC game ever on release, but it was a fan favourite, so perhaps a remake with more polish will put it over that threshold. While the original RPG game was made by CD Projekt Red using BioWare's Aurora Engine, The Witcher Remake is instead "being rebuilt from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5" by Fool's Theory. The Polish development studio also assists Larian with 'gameplay and tools programming support' for Baldur's Gate 3 and previously assisted People Can Fly with 'level design, meshing, and program support' for Outriders. Several veteran staff who helped make The Witcher will be part of this project, and CD Projekt Red will provide 'full creative supervision'.

Want to know about The Witcher 4 release date? CD Projekt RED initially confirmed the existence of a new game in The Witcher series via a press release in March 2022.

Since then, we've received confirmation that the upcoming open-world game is the first instalment in a new trilogy, though it remains unclear whether it will follow the characters and events of the previous games. While it's safe to assume this new entry to the series won't be called The Witcher 4, we will call it that for now, for lack of a better, more official term. The closest to a confirmed title currently is its internal codename: Polaris. If it's anything like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, it has the potential to be one of the best PC games ever, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

One of the most interesting weapons players can acquire is the Gjallarhorn, a fan-favourite rocket launcher from Destiny 1 that makes its triumphant return as part of the anniversary celebrations.

Obtaining this massive gold-and-white rocket launcher in Destiny 2 involves quite a few steps - you must finish a dungeon, collect various components, and re-assemble them to bring this legendary weapon back to life in the free PC game. While these steps demand a certain level of expertise in order to complete them - especially the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon - overall, this Destiny 2 exotic quest is thankfully very straightforward.

Over the last few weeks I've spent a number of hours with Honkai: Star Rail's closed beta, and it certainly seems that MiHoYo's upcoming free-to-play RPG is hoping to capture a similar audience to Genshin Impact's. Star Rail's turn-based battles and JRPG leanings might be a bit of a departure from Genshin's open-world adventuring, but it's definitely, 100%, without a doubt, anime as heck. Oh, and very gacha. I know we've been bleating on about PC system requirements lately, but the spec demands of Kerbal Space Program 2 also demand a special, visibly uncomfortable mention. This game, fresh into early access and the sequel to one that needed a mere 512GB of VRAM, lists the formidable RTX 3080 among its recommended hardware. That's a £600-plus graphics card, and for the bare minimum of Low quality at 1080p? That'll be either a GTX 1070 Ti or a Radeon RX 5600 XT.

Consternation at the star-high starting specs prompted Private Division community lead Michael Loreno to pen a forum post explaining the requirements, suggesting they were subject to change as further optimisations are added and that "the game is certainly playable on machines below our min spec." Sadly, I've been finding that several of the most-used GPUs among Steam users – including the immensely popular GTX 1060 – are likely to face serious performance woes in KSP2's current state.

I have, genuinely, been trying to get plants for my office area (desk in the corner of the living room) for like nine months now. If my need for plants were a child, it would have been born. I had a decent pot plant called James Plant back in the UK, but when I moved I bequeathed James Plant to Graham - and, now that I think about it, Graham hasn't told me how James Plant is doing, so I should probably check in on that.

I know that digital plants do not replace real plants in a physical sense - i.e. I am getting no oxygenating benefit from them - but the little plants in Garden In! make me happy. And I've just realised the name is a pun, too.

There are plenty of great games based on books, but I've never seen an adaptation as unconventional as The Forest Cathedral, a dramatic reimagining of Rachel Carson's science book from the '60s, Silent Spring. Carson's book investigated the pesticide known as DDT, its harmful environmental impacts, and the misinformation that allowed companies to indiscriminately use it. The Forest Cathedral reimagines this series of events as partly a first-person walking sim across the woods and partly a 2D platformer set inside scanning equipment. gunpla witch from mercury

Three new HG Gunpla models from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury appeared in hobby shops in Japan. The models are: CEK-077 Beguir-Pente, CEK-040 Beguir-Beu, and MSJ-121 Demi Trainer. Since these are HG (High Grade) models, you can pose them within reason. All three of these models are 1/144 scale. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

All three Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Gunpla in this release are ones that are mass-production models. The Beguir-Pente is a Grassley Defense Systems model with Antidote weapons. It is also a more advanced model than the Beguir-Beu, which is also a Grassley Defense Systems Mobile Suit. As for the MSJ-121 Demi Trainer, we mostly see students from Asticassia using them. The Gunpla is specifically of the one Chuchu used in the show.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury started airing in 2022 as the latest entry in the long-running Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. It follows Suletta Mercury—who is the first female protagonist in a mainline Gundam—who wants to live a normal high school life in Asticassia. There, she meets her fiancee Miorine Rembran. Conflicts within the school generally centered on companies trying to showcase their Mobile Suits to increase their own social or financial standing.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury is available for streaming via services such as Crunchyroll. The second season will start airing in April 2023. The HG models of CEK-077 Beguir-Pente, CEK-040 Beguir-Beu, and MSJ-121 Demi Trainer from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury are all available via hobby shops like Suruga-ya.

mononoke movie

Twin Engine announced that it will delay the release of the Mononoke movie. This is due to needing to find a new voice actor to replace its lead, Takahiro Sakurai. Sakurai would have reprised his role as the Medicine Seller from the show. While Twin Engine's statement did not explicitly mention it, this recasting likely has something to do with the voice actor's controversy regarding his infidelity.

According to Twin Engine's statement on its Twitter account, the Mononoke movie takes place in Ooku. In Japanese history, the Ooku (literally "great interior") was the women's quarters within Edo Castle. Women with connections to the reigning shogun would reside in the Ooku and could not leave without express permission. If you were a woman inside the Ooku, you also could not have a relationship with a man. As such, one could consider life within the Ooku to be oppressive.

Since the Mononoke film aims to portray the suffering and the salvation of women within the Ooku, Twin Engine decided to recast Sakurai to stay in line with the moral themes of the film. For reference, Sakurai is in the middle of a controversy in which he was cheating on a total of at least three women over the course of over a decade. He is a highly prolific voice actor known for roles such as Cloud Strife (FFVII), Guntz (Klonoa), and Reigen Arataka (Mob Psycho 100). Anime Ayaka also recently opted to replace Sakurai, making Mononoke his second recast.

The Mononoke film is in development. Backers who supported it via crowdfunding will receive messages from Twin Engine on how Mononoke will proceed from here.

Preview: Bayonetta Origins Keeps Cereza and Cheshire Controls Simple

When I first heard about Bayonetta Origin: Cereza and the Lost Demon, I thought it looked gorgeous, but I was concerned about the gameplay for Cereza and Cheshire. After all, someone is controlling two characters at once to not only solve puzzles, but explore and deal with opponents. After spending a few hours kicking off the start of the duo's journey, it is clear that PlatinumGames put a lot of thought into this. The execution is spot-on.

To start, it doesn't just drop a person into dealing with Cereza and Cheshire simultaneously in Bayonetta Origins. Things begin with explaining why the young Cereza is training under the Umbra Witch Morgana and ends up tempted to explore the Avalon forest. A number of routine chores introduces players to her capabilities, her controls, and using her Witch Pulse dance to perform certain sorts of magic. This means by the time someone heads into the Avalon Forest to possibly find the power to save her mother, they'll be accustomed enough with her actions to be set. And, just in case they're not, you spend a bit of time alone before Cheshire makes his appearance.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5b3_gydc_0&t=2s&ab_channel=NintendoofAmerica

What I noticed throughout my early hours with Bayonetta Origins is that it is a shockingly comfortable game to play alone due to the way PlatinumGames handles Cereza and Cheshire's gameplay. You're always using your left hand and the left Joy-Con to control Cereza. The right hand is dedicated to Cheshire. Actions are uncomplicated and tend to rely on the analog sticks and shoulder trigger buttons. This meant no fumbling, as well as tending to easily identify certain actions with L, R, ZL, and ZR.

It also keeps managing two characters at once from being daunting with Hug Mode. Cereza can carry Cheshire in a stuffed animal mode with a tap of the L button when the "Lost Demon" is full-size, then send him back out by hitting R. But even when I'd often happen upon areas where they needed to separate, the level design in these early spots is such that it's easy to keep track of both at the same time and never taxing to manage both characters' navigation. For example, I didn't find myself needing to start a dance with Cereza at the same time Cheshire might need to attack.

Though at the times when I did need to control both Cereza and Cheshire at once in Bayonetta Origins, the gameplay makes managing both relatively stress-free. During such portions, Cereza is typically dancing to tie down an opponent with magic. This involves a brief rhythm game, though an accessibility option is present to automate the input elements for Witch Pulse. This means someone could just hold down ZL for her to perform her actions. That means you could prioritize keeping her safe and out of harm's way, or send her to freeze an enemy so Cheshire can focus on others. Meanwhile, Cheshire's attacks can often let you just spam his attack to swiftly assault opponents, quickly moving around to address issues and protect Cereza.

Preview: Bayonetta Origins Keeps Simultaneous Cereza and Cheshire Controls Simple

I think it also helped in these early hours that even though this is a highly stylized game, Cereza and Cheshire both look so distinct. There's real attention to detail early on. But even with the fairytale, watercolor aesthetic, it's very easy to see points of interest, what pops out as an item that can be interacted with, possible hazards, and enemies. It's appreciated, especially when it seems like there can be a lot going on.

I know the word "approachable" ended up thrown around a lot in the marketing for Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, but it's really great to see how true is. The game really does go out of its way to keep something that could be quite complex handled well early on. Especially since there are other games that explored this concept and mechanic and executed it poorly. It's still early on, but it seems like it will be an accommodating and never cumbersome adventure.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon will come to the Nintendo Switch on March 17, 2023.

luminous productions square enix

Square Enix Corporation will merge with Luminous Productions on May 1, 2023. In a message on Luminous Productions's Twitter account, the studio promises that it will still focus its efforts on Forspoken up to that date. Both companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of Square Enix Holdings.

You can read Luminous Productions's update here:

https://twitter.com/LumiPro_EN/status/1630449903385329665

To briefly summarize it, Luminous Productions still plans on working on Forspoken up until May 1, 2023. Current Forspoken projects include a performance patch and the "In Tanta We Trust" DLC. That add-on will come out in Summer 2023, and more information on the aforementioned performance patch will come out soon.

It is unclear how much time Luminous Productions will have to spend on Forspoken after its merger. Luminous Productions originated as an internal Square Enix studio whose vision was to create AAA games with the Luminous Engine. Its employees are comprised of those who worked on Final Fantasy XV. It is unknown if this merger will redistribute the Luminous Productions employees as part of its reorganization or if they will remain together. Since Luminous Productions's aim was to make games with the Luminous Engine, it is also uncertain if Square Enix still intends on using the engine to make games.

Luminous Productions will merge with Square Enix on May 1, 2023. Forspoken will still receive updates and patches until then. Forspoken is readily available on the Windows PC and the PlayStation 5.

resident evil 5 co-op

Capcom released a small patch for the Steam version of Resident Evil 5 that adds local split-screen co-op. This will allow players to play with a friend without both needing their own computer or copy of the game. There is also no longer support for Games for Windows Live on Resident Evil 5. [Thanks, Wario64!]

Local split-screen co-op is quite literally what it says on the title. So long as there are two controllers for both players to play, you will be able to co-op with a friend on the same system. The screen will be smaller as a result, however. This was the method of offline co-op that Resident Evil implemented in the past, such as in the original console iteration of Resident Evil 5.

As for Games for Windows Live, this was a gaming platform that originally came out during the Xbox 360 era. While Windows no longer offered official support, some publishers still did. However, that will no longer be in the case for Resident Evil 5. Players who still used Games for Windows Live for Resident Evil 5 will no longer be able to do so after this patch.

Resident Evil 5 is available on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam. As of this patch, PC players will also be able to play in offline split-screen co-op. The same patch has also fixed several minor bugs and issues.

elden ring dlc erdtree

A new Elden Ring expansion DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, is in development. There is no information on what it will entail nor when to expect it. This is the first major add-on for Elden Ring, which became a year old as of February 25, 2023. Aside from the title, FromSoftware has also shared a key visual of the expansion.

Prior to this announcement, the only piece of DLC that Elden Ring had was the free colosseum update. Since Shadow of the Erdtree seems to be a massive expansion, it is unclear if it will be paid DLC or if it will be free as like the colosseum. In the Tweet advertising Shadow of the Erdtree, FromSoftware states that it hopes players look forward to "new adventures in the Lands Between." This seems to imply a new area or story line to explore.

Elden Ring has been a major success for FromSoftware. Not only has it won Game of the Year at both the DICE Awards 2023 and The Game Awards 2022, FromSoftware reported that it has sold over 20 million units as of late February 2023. This is an increase of around 7 million since its financial report in May 2022.

Elden Ring is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam worldwide. The Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring is in development and more information on when to expect it, as well as what it will entail, will come out in the near future.

Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree Expansion Featured ArtFromSoftware has surprise announced its first significant expansion for Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree. While the announcement was scarce on details, lore-savvy fans deduce the DLC revolves around Miquella from the concept art shared. Miquella is the brother of Malenia, whom she so fiercely protected from players by defeating them hundreds of times. Here's everything we know so far about Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expansion details Of course, the only detail FromSoftware shares are that the DLC is in development. However, Miquella being the subject of its story seems like a pretty safe bet, given the shared concept art and how the character was used in the base game. Elden Ring's main story mentions Miquella throughout, but he's never interacted with in person. The closest we get is the cocoon in Mohg's arena, which contains Miquella. Mohg kidnapped Miquella, and was using him to feed the blood god he worships. Bes...
