"Back when we were first developing Commendations, we had a sneaky suspicion that a fashion-focused Commendation would be highly desired. As we continued into long-form playtesting, the need became even more obvious—but by then we were past the point of adding anything new to Season 20 and could only tweak and tune what we already had," the blog post section, shared as part of the development studio's This Week at Bungie blog post, says. Siliconera Thursday, April 13, 2023 6:00 PM While Amano Pikamee retired, there's one final song for people to hear. She worked on a cover with fellow VTuber Rikudou Yura, who is from PRISM Project. The music video for "LUVORATORRRRRY!" is now online. Here's the full version of Yura and Pikamee's cover of the song. Yura noted on Reddit that its release was delayed due to editing issues. She stated, "We wanted to release this before but the video editor kept missing deadlines and we decided to just not wait anymore and do it ourselves." Yura did the art and movie for the video, while KuroKi handled the mix. To help compare, here's the original "LUVORATORRRRRY!" Giga-P and Reol song performed by Gumi and Kagamine Rin. Pikamee wasn't really known for singing songs, though she did perform on a few. She was a part of the original track "We are Vox Monsters" with fellow VOMS Project member Hikasa Tomoshika. She also performed a cover of the Hatsune Miku and Daniwell song "Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya." Amano Pikamee graduated on March 31, 2023. Siliconera Thursday, April 13, 2023 4:30 PM There's a new Genshin Impact event called Brewing Developments live, and it involves four stages of combat. As usual, taking part means Hero's Wits, Mora, Mystic Enhancement Ores, Primogems, and Talent Level-Up Materials. As long as someone is at Adventure Rank 20 and can get to Sumeru, they can start taking part immediately. How to Start Genshin Impact's Brewing DevelopmentsFirst. the Genshin Impact Brewing Developments event is a combat-focused one that first involves taking the "Boiling Over" quest. You'll need to go to the Wall of Samiel at Ashavan Realm in Sumeru. You'll find Hajanad, who previously appeared in the similar Tablet Analytics event near a special domain. You'll take on the challenge in order to basically help her with her alchemy research. You'll get 3 Hero's Wits, 30 Primogems, and 30,000 Mora just for speaking with her. This also unlocks the domain for the event. From there, you must complete four stages and earn points by fighting waves of enemies in three rounds. Defeating them and hitting certain milestones gets you different tiers of rewards. The first available is Thundergrass Resonance, which involves Dendro and Electro elements. You'll know all of the monsters that could appear in each of the three rounds for every stage. You can also set the score multiplayer and difficulty. From there, you choose four characters to fight in each wave and can see the brews that will be in effect with different special traits. This first round in the initial stage has Alhaitham and Yae Miko as the trial characters. When the first wave is over, you'll pick four more characters and see the new brews and traits in effect. For this second part, I had Kokomi and Yae Miko appear as possible trial characters. The final round works in the same way, with Faruzan and Wanderer showing up as the trial character options.
If you get 1,000 points in Thundergrass Resonance, you earn 3 Guide to Admonitions, 90 Primogems, and 20,000 Mora. The 2,000 tier also adds 2 Hero's Wits and 20,000 Mora to that. Reaching 4,000 gets you 4 Mystic Enhancement Ores and 20,000 Mora. There are four stages total, with each offering similar rewards at all tiers. Here are the ones that will unlock over the next few days.

Siliconera Thursday, April 13, 2023 4:00 PM Leading up to the release of Diablo IV, Blizzard shared a new trailer for the Sorcerer. One of several classes that will be returning, the trailer highlights the elemental prowess of this casting class. Players were given the opportunity to test out the Sorcerer during the open beta period, which allowed access to a multitude of different spells. Some of these spells were available in previous Diablo games, but still packed a punch. A casting class, the Sorcerer will rely on players keeping a fair distance away from enemies. More vulnerable than the Barbarian or Druid, the Sorcerer makes up for it in the sheer amount of damage it can dish out. In the trailer, you can see the Sorcerer utilize frost, fire, and electric magic to wreak havoc against the hellish foes players will be facing in Sanctuary. You can watch the Diablo IV Sorcerer class trailer below. [embed]https://youtu.be/wc6OhSaXERA[/embed] Previously, Blizzard shared a class trailer for the Rogue. Much like the Sorcerer, the Rogue is a class focused on DPS. However, it is capable of both ranged and melee attacks with high proficiency. Like the Sorcerer, it was available to play during the open beta period. Diablo IV will release on June 6, 2023 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC. Siliconera Thursday, April 13, 2023 3:30 PM Time magazine included FromSoftware President Hidetaka Miyazaki among the 100 most influential people of 2023. With this announcement, the Dark Souls creator joins a group of notable celebrities globally recognized for their significant achievements. This marks the second time a Japanese video game developer made it to the list, following Shigeru Miyamoto's inclusion in 2007. Every year, Time magazine publishes a list of 100 people selected by its editors. They belong to many fields, from politics and sports to technology and culture. The selection criterion is to include people who have made significant contributions to the world in some way. The "Innovators" group for 2023 lists FromSoftware's Hidetaka Miyazaki alongside Disney CEO Bob Iger, French soccer player Kylian Mbappé, and Nigerian researcher Dimie Ogoina. The latter is famous for his research on monkeypox and its treatment. Miyazaki's entry on the list includes a brief introduction written by The Last of Us Director Neil Druckmann, in which he explained the importance of his recognition. Druckmann shared his experience with FromSoftware's games and praises the developer's creativity when it comes to game design. In addition, Druckmann also pointed to Elden Ring as "a great ambassador for video games" and stated that it is an example of why it is impossible for any other medium to recreate the same experiences. Indeed, Elden Ring has been positively received worldwide, to the point of surpassing the 20 million sales milestone across all platforms. Elden Ring is currently available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox X/S series, and Xbox One worldwide. Siliconera Thursday, April 13, 2023 3:00 PM Wildfrost combines the mind games of card battles with the unforgiving difficulty of a roguelike in a unique and addicting game. It has a very fun and cute art style, as well as a fairly simple system. But just because it's simple doesn't mean it lacks depth. It's easy to grasp, but difficult to get the hang of. With its daily challenges and progression system, it's easy to sink hours into Wildfrost without even noticing how much time has passed. There is no real narrative or meaningful characterization in the game. But that's fine, because the main selling point of Wildfrost is its gameplay. Every run has you choosing from three randomly generated leaders. These leaders can come from three different tribes that have their own strengths and weaknesses. I personally enjoyed Shademancers the most, due to their summoning mechanics and the Tar Blade. Every turn, you can play a card to attack an enemy, summon an ally, or support your characters. A counter at the bottom of every card denotes how many turns are left before they attack. Various cards can have different passive effects, as well as active ones that buff or debuff other cards. You automatically lose if your leader dies. [caption id="attachment_959217" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Get used to this, because you'll be seeing it a lot.[/caption] Like I said earlier, the battle system in Wildfrost is very simple. It doesn't take long to understand all the different numbers and card types. But what I found difficult is the game balance. It felt very skewed in the enemies' favor. Granted, the game should be hard. But sometimes, it was simply ridiculous. Not all of the passives that you can build your deck around are viable. For example, my healing-focused deck got obliterated against a Shell one. I found that a deck that allows you to passively inflict Shroom (poison) was really the most viable way to get through the game. But whether or not you can even get a viable Shroom deck going really depends on RNG. Of the probably thirty or so runs I did for this review, I was only lucky enough to start with a Shroom leader twice. The way that Wildfrost amps up its difficulty also feels artificial. Battles become harder only because the game throws more beefy enemies at you. Lots of games do that, but where Wildfrost can get a little frustrating is how little agency I have as a player. Remember: everything is completely up to the RNG. Lots of runs ended prematurely because it was virtually impossible to kill the enemies due to a bad match-up. Without aggressively utilizing status effects, some of the later encounters feel impossible. I kind of wished that there was a larger window before reinforcements would arrive or that there were more chances to power up your deck. Personally, I found it closer to "masocore" than just a roguelike, because it was really a slog to push through a run I knew was doomed from the start because my starting pull was bad. [caption id="attachment_959218" align="aligncenter" width="768"] That enemy can deal 58 DMG five times and there's no way to block or delay it. In what universe could I have won?[/caption] So far though, I've liked what I've seen in Wildfrost. I'm a big fan of how cute the art is in this otherwise brutal game. Plus, it was really easy to just pick up and play. But I wish that the game allowed me to refresh my options in the beginning or made expanding Snowdwell feel a bit more rewarding. I enjoyed unlocking new cards, but there was never much fanfare. I also wished I could use leftover bling instead of accomplishments to add more cards to the hub. You really needed to get lucky with RNG to get the necessary cards. Nonetheless, Wildfrost is a game as beautiful, cruel, and cold as its sunless environment. Players going in will have to prepare to sink hours into building their dream deck... and punching their pillow. Wildfrost is available on the Nintendo Switch and Windows PC via Steam. Siliconera Thursday, April 13, 2023 2:00 PM Every once in a while, HoYoVerse shares "in-world" promotional materials to help people understand what's going on in Zenless Zone Zero. The most recent "Ridu Newsletter" for New Eridu is live. While a lot of it is designed to be flavor text to show what movies are happening or a recycling initiative, some of it hints at what can expect in the game. This latest one hints at some of the more human enemies people might face in addition to the Ethereal ones in the Hollows. In Zenless Zone Zero, Hollows are the disasters that can come up in New Eridu. These are the areas where suddenly Ethereal monsters appear and that section can be basically off-limits unless a professional capable of surviving goes in it. This newsletter noted that there can be fights between factions of people. In this case, it mentions gangs fighting in the area. In the past, HoYoVerse mentioned humanoid and mechanical enemies. It also noted different elements will be present, such as characters able to use fire. Here is the full Zenless Zone Zero "New Eridu Ridu Newsletter."
It's been quite some time since we've actually seen the game. HoYoVerse last offered a detailed look at the action game at the 2022 Tokyo Game Show. That involved an actual 18 minute look at gameplay footage. In the meantime, the developer instead focused on introducing different characters.
