     Street Fighter 6 tier list – best characters May 2023

Want to know who is at the top of the Street Fighter 6 tier list? With a sizable roster coming and more characters arriving on the scene after release, it's time to rank them in order of who will most consistently be the best pick as the champion of World Warriors.

Right now, this list comes with a big caveat. Given that only eight characters of the 16 are available in the fighting game's full release and will be available during the Street Fighter 6 beta, we can only judge which of those members of the Street Fighter 6 roster are worth playing. Naturally, this will be an ever-evolving SF6 tier list as we get to grips with each character.

     Alan Wake 2 release date revealed ahead of time by voice actor

The Alan Wake 2 release date has been accidentally revealed, as the voice actor for the titular character has let the rough time we can expect Remedy's horror game slip in an interview. We already knew Alan Wake 2 was coming this year, but now that's been narrowed down even further.

Angels of Death Identity V crossover event header

NetEase revealed the six skins that will be available when the Angels of Death crossover event goes live in Identity V. Some of the skins will be available in the Essence (gacha). You will be able to get the Gray skin for free by completing quests though. As well, the Zack skin will be in the shop as a package.

The Angels of Death characters that will appear as skins in Identity V are:

  • Cathy: Coordinator
  • Danny: Professor
  • Eddie: Axe Boy
  • Gray: Lawyer
  • Rachel: "Little Girl"
  • Zack: The Ripper

This will be the first A-tier skin for the Professor character, who debuted as a Survivor version of Evil Reptilian in 2022. Of all these skins, only the Zack skin for Ripper is an S-tier. More details about whether or not they will have unique animations will come out in the future. For reference, Perfumer's Mio Amakura skin gave her a unique Camera Obscura effect when she uses her Euphoria. That skin was from the Fatal Frame event, which NetEase initially announced along with the Angels of Death one.

Angels of Death is an RPG Maker horror adventure game that initially came out as freeware in August 2015. Since then, it spawned several manga adaptations, a novel series, and an anime from J.C. Staff. It follows the story of Rachel, an amnesiac girl who wakes up in the basement of a hospital. She meets serial killer Zack and though she asks him to kill her, the two become partners in escaping.

The Identity V crossover event with Angels of Death will start from around May 31, 2023. NetEase has also announced an upcoming Sanrio crossover event. Identity V is readily available on mobile devices and Windows PC.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2

Toho Animation uploaded a second trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2. Like the previous one, as well as the key visuals for the second season, it focuses on the flashback arc for Gojo and Geto. You can also hear the new opening in this trailer. It also notes the Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 release date is July 6, 2023

Sakurai Takahiro narrates the season 2 trailer, showing that rumors about his departure from the show as a result of his infidelity scandal were false. Toji is also a prominent figure in the video, with some quick scenes of his fight against Gojo.

Takehito Koyasu will voice Toji. Some of his previous roles include Jade from Tales of the Abyss and DIO in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Anna Nagase will portray Riko. In the past, Nagase appeared as Ushio Kofune in Summer Time Rendering.

Kitani Tatsuya is the singer of the opening, which is titled "Blue House." In his comment on the Jujutsu Kaisen website, Kitani indirectly states that the song is about Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo's relationship. This friendship will be a key point in the flashback arc, since we will get to see what happens between them.

The Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 release date is July 6, 2023. Since the first season is on Crunchyroll, the second season will likely simulcast on the service as well.

baizhu genshin impact weapons and artifacts header

Like most healers and shielders in Genshin Impact, Baizhu scales off of his HP, which means that his Artifacts and weapons should improve on that. Even without improving on his Talents or having Constellations, he is a very good healer who can help to facilitate Dendro Elemental Reactions. While it's totally possible to gear him up as a sub-DPS, his kit makes him more suited to act as a support healer.

Here are the Best Weapons Baizhu Can Use in Genshin Impact

Because Baizhu heals based on his Max HP, he can use any Catalyst that other healers such as Barbara or Kokomi can. His signature weapon, Jadefall's Splendor, is his best weapon because its main stat is HP and it can restore Energy every time he uses his Burst. He doesn't need to remain on-field for this either. Other weapons you can consider are:

  • Everlasting Moonglow: Kokomi's signature weapon also has HP as its main stat and it passively offers a 10% Healing Bonus. This does require Baizhu to remain on-field to take full advantage of its skill, but you can also simply enjoy its HP boost.
  • Prototype Amber: It has HP as its main stat and you can get it via the Blacksmith, which makes it great for F2P players. It also regenerates Energy ever time you use a Burst and can heal your party members every 2 seconds for 6 seconds.
  • Favonius Codex: It has Energy Recharge as its main stat which benefits Baizhu because of how expensive his Burst is. Other weapons with Energy Recharge as its main stat, such as Wine and Song, do not have passive skills that mesh well with how Baizhu ideally plays.

Here are the Best Artifacts Baizhu Can Use in Genshin Impact

As a quick note, Baizhu's Dendro shield from his Burst is not the best thing in the world. His Dendro application is inferior to other characters such as Nahida, Collei, or even Dendro Traveler. So when choosing Artifacts for him, you can focus on simply enhancing his Max HP or Healing Bonus.

  • Deepwood Memories 4-piece: Decreasing Dendro RES by 30% upon hitting enemies with a Skill or Burst is vital when running a team that focuses on Dendro Elemental Reactions. Having Baizhu carry this frees up your DPS or sub-DPS so they can carry more Attack-oriented sets or Artifacts.
  • Ocean-Hued Clam 4-piece: Maiden Beloved can also work if you lack good pieces for Ocean-Hued Clam. However, Ocean-Hued Clam can help to increase how much damage you do when you're using the full set because of the Foam that it creates whenever Baizhu heals your party.
  • Noblesse Oblige 4-piece: This is only if you are using Baizhu in a party that does not have an existing character carrying Noblesse and you can't put together the above sets. Noblesse Oblige the ATK of all party members when Baizhu uses his Burst, and is generally a good set for an off-field support character to have.

Genshin Impact is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Baizhu is only in the gacha when the Immaculate Pulse Event Wish is live.

Dormitory Love Scratches the Surface of Relationships

With otome games flourishing in popularity outside Japan, it means sometimes we see a surprise release worldwide. Dormitory Love was an indie otome project. One single person by the name of Mirin did it all, then released it as a browser-based affair. Shockingly enough, it ended up localized and released worldwide on the Switch. While it's a very barebones sort of story with only basic elements, it's still an example of what early steps and someone's early, solo attempts can look like.

The premise for Dormitory Love is one not uncommon in anime and manga. A person ends up living with multiple people of the gender they are romantically interested in. Here, the player's avatar is a young woman whose grandmother got her a job as a dormitory manager. All of the residents are young men from various countries studying in Japan. After a brief introduction, it asks you to pick one of them to "pursue." You then only see story segments focused on them, with an assumed degree of intimacy due to the fact that you live together with them.

Since this is a single-person project, it means things are quite limited. There's a chapter structure, which can involve events with just that love interest or multiple cast members. However, the simplistic nature doesn't mean there's some overarching story that goes from one to another. You will find it jumps from one scenario to another, often with little connection or pay-off. It puts you on a route for a character and expects you to immediately care about them and one-on-one interactions, without knowing much beyond things like "Felix is a serious guy who is also a good cook."

This means that the characters themselves don't always get the attention they deserve. Instead of gradually falling in love with people like Felix or Ling, we're taken from scene to scene and expected to automatically care enough about them to be taken with certain scenarios. It's a bare bones sort of affair. However, this can actively hurt some cast members. Guillaume is a fashionable young man from France who wears some of the most adorable dresses. However, because of the original content, localization, and limitations of the original creation, he comes across as a trope and we don't get a full exploration of his character. As a result, it can come across as disrespectful, rather than a case like say Naraka in Bad Apple Wars.

Dormitory Love feels like we're going through someone's first attempt at pulling together an otome game. This means there are certain elements that don't come through in the way you'd expect from other visual novels. There's no real trouble in pursuing everyone, especially since you pick your route right away. There's minimal character development. The story is both basic and barely there. I also felt like certain characters, such as Guillaume, were tossed in to fill a quota of "tropes" and not clearly fleshed out or thought through to ensure they are tactful depictions. It is an indie, after all, and an older project from Japan. Which means someone going into it should consider it more of a time capsule and example of a first step than an otome classic.

Dormitory Love is available on the Nintendo Switch, and the original game also appeared on PCs in browsers in Japan.
