PCGamesN Tuesday, February 25, 2025 7:59 AM ![]() Do you want to know where to buy the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti? Well, we have some good news as we're updating this guide daily with links to retailers around the world, so you can find out where the new mid-range gaming GPU is in stock, or at least find where there are pre-order or notification options in place. The Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti is the mid-tier card in the company's new RTX 5000 series GPU lineup. While the RTX 5070 is your entry into the series, and the RTX 5090 is the range-topper, the RTX 5070 Ti could well be the best graphics card choice for those looking to maximize their bang for buck. A notable aspect of the RTX 5070 Ti is that Nvidia isn't producing its own Founders Edition card. As such there isn't an MSRP for that exact card. However, the guide price for stock-speed cards is $749 / $749 CAD / £729 / AU$1,109. These cards are manufactured by the likes of Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Palit, PNY, and Zotac. The RTX 5070 Ti release date was February 20, 2025, although stock sold out quickly after the launch. PCGamesN Tuesday, February 25, 2025 7:44 AM ![]() Trying to find out where to buy the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPU? Well, we're here to help you with that. We've checked the virtual store shelves of retailers around the world to find where Nvidia's latest mid-range gaming GPU contender can be pre-ordered, or where you can set up stock notifications for when the card launches later this year. With the RTX 5070 potentially set to be the best graphics card in its price range, including the supposed ability of the RTX 5070 to offer RTX 4090 performance, it's going to be in high demand. What's more, it may only be available in very limited numbers when the RTX 5070 release date window opens. As such, you'll have to be quick to grab one of these new Nvidia cards, especially if you don't want to pay inflated prices from scalpers buying the cards from trusted retailers, only to then resell them on the likes of eBay. The official RTX 5070 price is $549 / $549 CAD / £549 / AU$1,109 for the Founders Edition card, so that's the price you should be hoping to pay for Nvidia's own stylish card. Other cards from the likes of Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Palit, PNY, and Zotac might demand more, but that's the ballpark figure you should expect to pay. While RTX 5090 stock and RTX 5080 stock are now available, no RTX 5070 stock is available yet and won't be for a little longer. However, some sites are now starting to show "notify me" services, so you can sign up to know when stock becomes available, and these may eventually switch to pre-order options too. Presided over by twin titans Dota 2 and League of Legends, we've seen challengers come and go, with most failing to really carve out a place for themselves. But that's slowly changing. 2024 saw the revival of Predecessor, a remake of Epic Games' Paragon, as well as the rise of Supervive, Theorycraft Games' colorful MOBA brawler hybrid. Then, of course, there's Deadlock, Valve's newest project that's already proven itself a worthy challenger despite being in the very early stages of development. PCGamesN Tuesday, February 25, 2025 7:36 AM ![]() With melting power cables and practically fictional stock levels, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 launch has already come in for some criticism, but now Nvidia has admitted that there's another problem. After recent reports that some RTX 5090 and 5070 Ti GPUs didn't have the correct number of render outputs (ROPs), the GPU maker has now confirmed that this is also the case with some Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 cards too, and it can result in a 4% drop in gaming performance. The first reports of missing RTX 5080 ROPs appeared on Reddit on February 23, prompting Nvidia to update its previous statement about the GPUs affected by the issue. As we found in our RTX 5080 review, this new Nvidia GPU is a decent performer for the money, especially given the current lack of competition in this price sector, but apparently not all 5080 cards are equal, and it's up to you to spot it. PCGamesN Tuesday, February 25, 2025 6:48 AM ![]() If you want to find out where to buy the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, then you've come to the right place. We're updating this guide daily with links to retailers worldwide so we can let you know as soon as they get stock on their shelves. The RTX 5080 launch was in January 2025, so many retailers have not yet had time to replenish their stock after the initial influx of orders, but there are some ways to get hold of the card. The Nvidia RTX 5080 is a very popular option for those wanting to upgrade to an RTX 5000 series GPU. That's because, while our RTX 5090 review showed it to be the undisputed new best graphics card, it also offers relatively poor value for $1,999. The RTX 5080, though, is a more reasonable choice that offers reasonable value, as we found in our RTX 5080 review. Because of this expected popularity, and because the entire RTX 5000 series is currently in short supply with high demand, you're going to need to be organized if you want to secure a card for a sensible price. With an official price of $999 / $1,449.99 CAD / £979 / AU$2,019, Nvidia's own Founders Edition card is one of the most affordable options. Other cards from the likes of Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Palit, PNY, and Zotac might demand more, but sometimes offer lower running temperatures, quieter fans, and more overclocking headroom. The RTX 5080 release date was Thursday, January 30, with the launch time being 9am ET / 6am PT / 2pm GMT. With most stores already sold out, some are operating a "notify me" service, so you can sign up to know when stock becomes available again. Perhaps you don't think of your Chromebook as much of a gaming machine because of its limited specs, but still, it is a very good one for retro gaming. But what are the best emulators you can use for it? Let's find out about the joy of emulating on a Chromebook.
What are the best emulators for Chromebook?
Eclipse
![]()
If you are not looking forward to being on the hunt for games from your childhood or navigating shady sites or, more realistically, you are not allowed to install apps on your Chromebook, then Eclipse is the answer. It is a web-based emulator that covers most consoles and should guarantee a pretty painless experience throughout.
Not only is it free, but it can emulate consoles as varied as Game Boy Advance, the NES, and Super Nintendo. Unfortunately, while there are no issues with touch and keyboard controls, gamepads are a little more difficult to set up as you'll have to configure each of them manually, which can take a bit of time.
But trying it out for yourself might be the best, so head to the Eclipse website and see if this emulator works for you.
Retro Arch
![]()
This is an emulator that pops up on a lot of different lists, and for good reason. It is not really an emulator per se but a frontend that allows you to download different cores, which you can use to emulate basically everything. This means that with one app, you are able to run NES games, Gamecube games, and even quite more obscure home computers such as the Apple II.
On the other hand, as a jack of all trades, this means that a bit of fiddling and setup is required. While Retro Arch has its separate options as a frontend, each core also comes with its own particular set of options and emulation settings that you might have to fiddle with to get a particular game running.
If you are not particularly computer savvy, don't want to spend too much time setting up stuff, or are interested in only emulating a couple of systems at best, then Retro Arch might not be the perfect one for you.
Wine

If you are looking to run any Windows app on your Chromebook, then Wine is the answer you are looking for. It has been in development even before Windows 95 came out, so you know this emulator has a good pedigree.
It requires Linux compatibility on your machine, but once that is done, you can discover an entirely new world of apps ready for you to run. If you have ever dreamed of running Microsoft Office on your Chromebook, Wine allows you to do just that.
Unlike similar solutions such as QEMU, this is a more lightweight solution that requires a bit less fiddling to get it to work. Running games might be a little bit more of a difficult proposition for Wine, but you can run some early classics as long as you don't try to push the 3D graphics too far.
PPSSPP
![]()
Looking to get that quick fix of 2006 on-the-go gaming? Then look no further than PPSSPP, a quite well-made Sony PSP emulator. It includes several compelling emulator features, such as save/load states and fast-forward, and has open-source code. It is also a free emulator that, while a premium version is available, still allows you to try it out with no limitations.
Even though it only emulates PSP games, PPSSPP is stable, has a great emulator experience, and allows you to use a controller. While you might find some issues with more advanced games, such as God of War: Ghost of Sparta, most other titles should work smoothly with no hiccups.
John GBAC
![]()
As far as gaming on the go is concerned, the Nintendo Game Boy Advance is still one of the best consoles ever, thanks to its incredible games, but what about the Game Boy Color? If you are looking to emulate both handhelds, then this free emulator will do the trick.
It combines both previously discontinued John GBA and John GBC emulators, so if you want to make sure the emulator works on future updates, this is the one you will want to install on your Chromebook.
This is a free emulator that is supported by ads. While it would be nice to have the option to pay to disable the in-game ads, they are tolerable, as long as you avoid exiting and going back to the emulator again and again.
Dolphin
![]()
Perhaps you don't want to go too far back with your emulation, instead visiting the era of the Nintendo GameCube and Wii. Then Dolphin will be the one for you, as it recreates both Nintendo consoles on your Chromebook since it supports both Android and Linux environments. Dolphin Emulator plays Wii and GameCube games using a simple and easy-to-use UI.
Naturally, since these are newer games that you are emulating, the experience might vary depending on your Chromebook model. Go ahead and try them out for yourself to see how your favorite game runs. For example, while a classic like Wii Sports runs with no issues, others, such as Killer 7, might have a few more problems. Exactly like RetroArch, Dolphin supports controllers, keyboards, and touch controls.
Snes9X EX+
![]()
Want to get a taste of that sweet 16-bit experience? We present Snes9x EX+, a version of the classic Snes9X emulator made for Android that has all the features you would need. Not only that, but it runs basically everything ever made for the Super Nintendo, from Chrono Trigger to Yoshi's Island, smooth as butter.
Along with all the usual features you can think of, such as save/load states, fast forwarding, different aspect ratios, controller support, keyboard compatibility, and touch controls, the emulator also has no problems running patched ROMs, so you can enjoy hacks or translated games from Japan. Last but not least, it works great with cheat codes.
M64Plus FZ
![]()
Are you a fan of early 3D environments? Want to bring back those Super Mario 64 skills? The M64Plus FZ emulator should be the one for you. This emulator includes many useful features such as save states and fast forwarding, and even unique ones such as local multiplayer, which can come quite in handy for a quick Mario Kart 64 match. But, unfortunately, there's a bit of a catch.
Overall, Nintendo 64 games can be quite fiddly to emulate; you might find issues with clipping, slowdowns, or garbled 3D graphics. So, since, in this case, you can try out the app for free, just see if your favorite N64 games run without issues.
The paid version is just $3.99, which is not much, but its main feature is adding support for network multiplayer, so it is not a mandatory upgrade.
Nes.emu
![]()
With a UI pretty similar to the Snes9x emulator, it can be easy to think this looks quite a bit outdated. But don't let that discourage you, since NES.emu is one of the best emulators if you are looking to properly bring back the fun 8-bit times of the Nintendo Entertainment System.
Not only will it allow you to fast forward, but it also supports save states and can even run Famicom games,. In case you're inclined to try them out, it also has no problems with Bluetooth controllers. But if you don't have a gamepad, just set up your keyboard. There is one catch, though: this emulator will set you back $3.99, but it's a fine price to pay as it will be the only NES emulator you'll ever need.
DraStic DS Emulator
![]()
You might be a fan of the Game Boy Advance, but what about its unique dual-screen touch controls successor? The Nintendo DS still lives on in many gamers' memories, and thanks to DraStic, you can go back to those happy times even on your Chromebook.
It supports gamepads with no issues, but you can also configure an on-screen keyboard and double the 3D graphical resolution if your Chromebook is powerful enough. It's like playing your very own remastered DS game!
Thanks to save states and a lot of customization options, DraStic is one of the best emulators for the Nintendo DS and the best way to bring back hours of fun with games such as Castlevania Portrait of Ruin and Mario Kart DS.

Because Avowed has been published by Xbox Game Studios, it's currently not available to play on PS5. There's hope the game will roll out for Sony's system eventually, but, for now, at least, it'll remain an Xbox exclusive.
But if you really, really want to experience Obsidian's latest RPG on your PlayStation, the best way you can achieve this is through mods on PC. Take, for example, this one from Nexus Mods user Chachinito, which replaces the Avowed splash screen with the one for PlayStation Studios.
![]()
If that's not enough, you can go with this one from user Alurik instead, which gives you button prompts that are more akin to the PS4, so you'll be told to press Square instead of X, etc. Or why not combine them both?
How far are you willing to go?
Okay, it's only a small thing, but it's a sort of amusing way for people to make a point about how Avowed has been made exclusive to the Xbox Series X|S. Maybe it's even a parody about the state of console exclusivity in general. Or maybe I'm reading way too much into it.
At the time of writing, we still can't be certain whether Avowed will come to PS5. Anything that is attached to the Microsoft brand is always going to be put on Xbox and Windows-based PC systems ahead of anything else.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be coming to PlayStation at some point this year. Given that this game was published by Bethesda Softworks (which is owned by Zenimax Media, whose parent company is Microsoft), it's not beyond the realm of possibility that Avowed will be freed from its Xbox bond and make its way to other consoles. In the meantime, the above mods are the best we have so far.

Though there's some inherent suspicion to be had when you see an Early Access game that isn't pushing out its 1.0 build no matter what, some of these unfinished projects go beyond any such qualms. Take the amazing ULTRAKILL, for one, which received an out-of-the-blue graphics revamp just now.
I feel like there's something to be said about the sheer scope and quality of ULTRAKILL's content updates, specifically. For one, they usually come out completely unexpected. On top of that, they're also usually jam-packed with content, making it all too easy to jump back in and start gunning down demons and angels alike. As part of the all-new (and appropriately titled) ULTRA_REVAMP update, however, you may well want to start replaying the game from the very start.
ULTRAKILL's ULTRA_REVAMP update is an unexpected boost to performance, visual quality, and content
Though I imagine you'd be hard-pressed to find many ULTRAKILL fans who felt like the game needed a visual revamp, it's happened, and it rules. This didn't just occur on a whim from the developers, either, as there's a valid technical reason for the frankly humongous number of upgrades ULTRAKILL has just received: "much of ULTRAKILL's codebase was very messy, especially the enemy behaviors. So much so that not only would it make it harder for us (and modders) to work on the game in the future, but even for us to do some of the new things we wanted to do in Layer 8," explains the official Steam blog from the dev.
Basically, it's going to take some time still for Layer 8 to be fully wrapped up, so the developers decided it was time to bring the remainder of the game up-to-spec with the fancy upcoming content: "Hakita and Victoria decided to use [the time programmers took to rework enemy behaviors] to REVAMP a lot of the visuals from the previous layers to bring them up to par artistically to where the game has reached by Layer 7."
The video featured above is a tad too fast for it all to make sense, granted, so I've got a second official showcase for you to gaze upon:
The good news doesn't stop with the fact that ULTRAKILL now looks much, much fancier than ever before. The game now also runs about twice as fast in most situations, as per the developers' claims, which should be particularly handy if you've got a high refresh rate monitor eager to render upwards of 400 FPS of ULTRAKILL brutality. Neat!
If you've already played ULTRAKILL's existing content to death, the new ULTRA_REVAMP update's got you covered on the new-level side of things, too. The update includes two fancy new (and super difficult) Encore levels. Here's the exact explanation from the developers as to how Encores work: "They don't look anything like the levels they're based on, they don't play anything like the levels they're based on, and they're about 10x harder than the levels they're based on."
Promising stuff, no? We now even have a rough outline of what's coming next for ULTRAKILL. The next major content update is going to be Layer 8: Fraud, and the update after that is the aptly titled "Grand Finale", which is presumably the 1.0 release. More Encore levels will be coming out post-1.0, too. All in all, then, excellent news across the board. Time to dive back into ULTRAKILL once again, I suppose.

Although Melinoe can call upon the aid of many new and returning Olympians while facing the legions of Chronos in Hades 2, Dionysus is nowhere to be seen. Well, at least at first. Here's how to find Dionysus and access the fan-favorite Festive Fog and Hangover effects in Hades 2.
How to find Dionysus in Hades 2
You can find Dionysus in Hades 2 by entering his encounter chamber on Mount Olympus. Keep in mind, however, that whether or not you are met with the encounter during your run will be up to RNG. Many players have also shared that they have only been able to meet the god after fighting Prometheus for the first time.
If you want to try that out, there will be no need to defeat the boss, although a victory will allow you to also unlock the Ares boons in one fell swoop. Upon meeting him, the God of Wine (and Festivity mind you) will allow Melinoe to pick among a random selection of boons. All boons of Dionysus will be offered at Common Rarity but can be upgraded via certain effects, like those of Demeter's Steady Growth and Hera's Bridal Glow.
![]()
As the Dionysus encounter is among the game's hardest to trigger, gift him a bottle of Nectar as soon as possible to get his Fig Leaf keepsake. Once equipped, the keepsake will allow you to find up to four rooms completely free of enemies while visiting a region, which can be huge when making your way toward Typhon in The Summit.
All boons of Dionysus, listed
![]()
As he does not take part in the fight against Chronos and instead acts as a friendly spectator, Dionysus will only be able to bestow Melinoe with one of six boons during each encounter. The effects of the boons will vary from survivability-focused buffs to the ability to apply Hangover. As you can see below, his Cast-focused boon Trippy Shot also returns, although under a new name.
Which Dionysus boons are the best?
As someone who still loves building around Dionysus in the first game, I believe that Drunken Stupor and Tipsy Shot are the stars of the show here. To be more specific, while the former will add a massive kick to your biggest tools in Omega builds, the latter's synergy with many of the game's best cast and DMG-focused boons will allow you to reach 4-digit numbers often.
If you are looking for a jack-of-all-trades option or are struggling against either Prometheus or the terrors that follow, Bounce Back will be the best of the loot via its ability to help you save your Death Defiance counts and keep Melinoe healthy even after staring death at the face.
So you can both unlock Dionysus and get the game's newest familiar in a single run, make sure to also take a look at how to find and recruit Gale the Polecat in Hades 2 guide.

While you can start with any Element with your first 5 spins, this guide will go in detail on what is the best one for your play style. Whether you're going for PVP or PVE, I'll show you which Element you should keep as your primary or secondary and which ones you should reroll. Here's my Ninja Time Elements tier list.
Table of contents
All Ninja Time Elements Ranked
![]()
I'll be rating Elements in Ninja Time from S-Tier to C-Tier and I won't go below C since no Element is unplayable in the game. That said, some are drastically better than others in terms of DPS and stun-potential. S-Tier and A-Tier elements have the best DPS, B-Tiers are either specific options or weaker versions than S and A, and C-Tiers are underpowered Elements. You can reroll elements in the Customization tab from the Main Menu and grab some free spins with our Ninja Time codes.
S-Tier Elements
A-Tier Elements
B-Tier Elements
C-Tier Elements
That's it for my complete Ninja Time Element tier list. For similar guides, check out our Ninja Time family tier list.

There's nothing I love more than a game with a compelling storyline, providing a reason to replay, and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage offers a huge amount of replayability. With countless branching dialogue options, multiple endings, and Collectible Memoirs to find, there's a lot to go back for.
However, Don't Nod might have damaged the long-term success of Bloom & Rage, at least in my humble opinion, by failing to provide a crucial quality-of-life feature that was present in Life is Strange (the studio's previous massive hit) — an option to skip dialogue when replaying scenes.
![]()
To be clear, I'm not talking about having the option to skip over the entire story when playing through from start to finish. This is a story-based game, with most of the emphasis being on the narrative set up by discussion and interaction. I don't even want the ability to skip over that, because going through the story is fun, and it's easy to get swept up in it.
However, there are 25 scenes that, once you've completed them for the first time on a save file, can then be played again as many times as you like in any order. Going back into any scene in Collectible Mode is incredibly useful in gathering all of the Collectible Memoires you might have missed, or witnessing alternative dialogue tracks without affecting the outcome of your main save.
In Life is Strange, this Collectible Mode allowed you to skip over the dialogue moments that you'd already seen, and it was bliss. In Bloom & Rage, you have no choice but to watch the same scene on replay until you've memorized all the voice lines and could probably draw it from memory.
![]()
As someone who writes guides, perhaps this is something I've simply noticed more than most would. However, just this morning I watched the same scene on repeat for three hours to gather up the different responses from each girl to get a romancing guide together.
I'm fairly confident I could now comfortably voice all four characters in that scene at this point, and I can confidently say that it was much less enjoyable the sixth time I was forced to listen to Kat get excited over Bikini Kill.
If you're jumping back into a scene to collect a single four-second Collectible Memoir, is there really a need to sit through a 10-minute dialogue that you've already seen? Not having the option to skip over these long conversations in Collectible Mode is a quick way to put even the most ardent of completionists off the idea.
![]()
With Tape 2 still yet to release on April 15, I'm hopeful that perhaps this feature will be added later, although I still don't understand why it wasn't added when Don't Nod included it as a basic feature in Life is Strange. It seems like a strange thing to overlook. In the meantime, my inner completionist is just going to have to get used to seeing achievements left unclaimed.

Across the different maps in the Living Lands in Avowed, you can randomly come across an item called the "Fragment of Starmetal." Once you find this item, it begins the "Forged of Star-Stuff" quest, which can't be completed until you reach the final map in the game.
As you'll soon learn, there is more than just one Fragment of Starmetal in Avowed, and they're all needed for the quest. So where can you find all the Fragments of Starmetal?
Fragment of Starmetal locations in Avowed
In total, there are four pieces of Starmetal you can find and loot in Avowed. All are required to finish the Forged of Star-Stuff side quest, which you can complete by visiting Forgemaster Dela in the basement of Solace Keep in Galawain's Tusks. However, you really only need one or two Fragments of Starmetal to get the weapons the forgemaster can make you.
The four Fragments of Starmetal in Avowed are located across each map in the game. One piece is located on each map, so to acquire all four, you have to visit all four maps in the Living Lands. The maps are unlocked by progressing the story in Avowed, and the order of the maps is: Dawnshore, Emerald Stair, Shatterscarp, and Galawain's Tusks.
You're able to pick up the Fragment of Starmetal as soon as you enter each region, so none of them are locked behind any story content. Of course, that doesn't mean they're easy to find, so you might need a helping hand. Below, I'll give you the exact location of each Fragment of Starmetal piece in Avowed.
Dawnshore Fragment of Starmetal location
As you might expect, we'll start with the first map you unlock in Avowed: Dawnshore. For this Fragment of Starmetal, you need to head right near the entrance to Emerald Stair. While you can't visit Emerald Stair until the Paradis Ambassador gives you the go-ahead, nothing prevents you from going to the gate before that happens.
Head southwest of the Emerald Stair Gatehouse on the southeastern side of Dawnshore. Here, you'll find a location called the "Godless Altar." In the center of the location, you'll find an altar that has the Fragment of Starmetal piece sitting on top of it. Grab the piece and then finish the events of the story in Dawnshore or head to Emerald Stair for the next piece.
![]()
![]()
Emerald Stair Fragment of Starmetal location
The next region in Avowed is Emerald Stair, and its Fragment of Starmetal piece isn't too difficult to find, but it is guarded by a strong enemy. To find the piece, head to the Damp Burrow location on your map, which is right in the center of the Rolling Crags region to the northeast of Fior mes Iverno. There's a Damp Burrow Party Camp fast travel point for easy access if you have it unlocked.
At the Damp Burrow, you need to go just southeast of the main house in the area. Look for a small patch of water and go to the south of it. Here, you'll find a troll enemy named Iscern in a cave that you can either try to beat or simply go around to get to the Fragment of Starmetal. The piece is sitting on the ground near the back entrance to the cave. It's lying in the center of purple stardust, so it's hard to miss once you're in the cave.
![]()
![]()
Shatterscarp Fragment of Starmetal location
Next up is the dangerous region of Shatterscarp, which is the third map you unlock in Avowed. Here, the Fragment of Starmetal piece is located in an extremely precarious spot and you'd really only ever look here if you were specifically searching for the piece.
To start, fast travel to the Party Camp waystone just beneath the Abandoned Mine location north of Thirdborn. From the waystone, travel northwest along the road parallel to the Abandoned Mine. Along the rock wall where the Abandoned Mine is located, search for a small crevice you can crawl into, which leads you straight into the mine. From here, travel up by hopping on rocks and the various ladders and wood planks.
Your goal is to reach the southern side of the mine across from where all the wood scaffolding is located. At the very top of the south side of the mine are rocks and a plateau where you can find the Fragment of Starmetal piece sitting on the ground. Use the map screenshot below as a guide to see exactly where you need to go in the mine.
![]()
![]()
Galawain's Tusks Fragment of Starmetal location
At long last, the final Fragment of Starmetal piece location is on the final map, Galawain's Tusks. Fortunately, the piece is located in a fairly simple spot on the map. However, it will take quite a while to reach it, as Galawain's Tusks is a large map and the Starmetal piece isn't lootable until you reach the end of the region.
You can find the Fragment of Starmetal in Galawain's Tusks near the Ash Forest part of the map. Ash Forest is found northwest of Solace Keep, which is almost as far north as you can go in the region. In Ash Forest, head directly to the left of the word "Ash" on your map.
Here, you'll find the "Revenant" bounty, which you can claim in Solace Keep to give you a little extra help on where to go. The Fragment of Starmetal piece is located in the middle of a red meteor crater on the ground. Once you pick up the piece, the Revenant boss spawns and you're forced to kill it or run away. Look at the map screenshot below to see exactly where to go in Ash Forest to find the piece.
![]()
![]()
And that's all four Fragment of Starmetal pieces you can find in Avowed. By bringing all four pieces to Forgemaster Dela in Solace Keep, you can acquire a unique Arquebus and a unique one-handed sword. The weapons take one Starmetal each, but you can bring one additional piece to the forgemaster and have them upgrade each weapon for you once. This improves the stats of the weapons and gives them a new name. Delivering all four pieces is the only way to complete the Forged of Star-Stuff quest.
![]()
Personally, I think the unique Arquebus, named Moonstrike/Heavenstrike, is the best overall weapon in Avowed. So, if you're only looking for one weapon out of the Starmetal pieces, I would go for that one, but it's ultimately up to you.

In Verse Piece, there aren't that many swords and specs that let you really roleplay the character they are inspired by. However, one of the exceptions to that rule is Roland, which arguably has one of the coolest movesets in the game. On how to obtain the Library of Ruina Bible's and finally get the Roland spec in Verse Piece, follow our guide right below.
Complete Showcase of the Roland Spec in Verse Piece
Compared to most other Verse Piece specs, Roland features a unique M1 combo animation. Furthermore, Roland has an awakened mode, which transforms his moves and increases their damage. Overall, Roland has extremely high DPS because most of his moves have a very short cooldown. So, you will get the most out of Roland if you use it as your primary DPS tool.
In his awakened state, Roland gets upgraded visuals, and most of his moves get a bigger AoE and more damage. However, his M1 damage and moveset stay the same, which is slightly disappointing. Still, if you can get your hands on Roland, you will have one of the highest DPS specs in Verse Piece.
How to Get the Roland Spec in Verse Piece
![]()
You can get Roland in Verse Piece by interacting with the Roland NPC found in a side alley of the Karakura Town island. However, you need to collect a few components beforehand: 10,000 Gems, 1 Library of Ruina Bible's, and the Black Silence trait. You can farm the 10,000 Gems by defeating Bosses in the Corrupted Boss Rush dungeon. The other two components are a bit harder to acquire.
How to Get the Library of Ruina Bible's in Verse Piece
![]()
Library of Ruina Bible's is an extremely rare item in Verse Piece that you can get either by opening chests, fishing, or trading. Fishing is the more efficient method if you upgrade your fishhook and bait since chests and fishing share the same loot pool. However, if you are really unlucky with getting this Roland component in Verse Piece, you can also trade for the Library of Ruina Bible's with other players.
How to Get the Black Silence Trait
![]()
You can get the Black Silence trait in Verse Piece by rerolling your traits and the Traits Reroll NPC on Frost Town Island. However, the reroll rate of the Black Silence trait is only 0.025%, so it might take you a while to get it. If you end up needing more Gems during the reroll process, remember to sell your excess Epic and Legendary materials at the Adventure Shop on the same island.
That concludes our guide on how to get the Library of Ruina Bible's and the Roland spec in Verse Piece. To obtain the other two specs that dropped with the 2025 Verse Piece Valentine's update, check out our guides on how to get Okarun and D4C (Valentine) specs.

For the third time now, the highly anticipated MMORPG experience Rune Slayer has been launched. I just hope it's for good this time, though. If you're as excited as I am, you'll want to roll a good class and steamroll the first couple of hours. To help my fellow min-maxers, here's your all Rune Slayer races tier list.
Table of contents
Rune Slayer Races Tier List
![]()
You can see our Rune Slayer races tier list right above. As expected, the rarest race, Dullahan, is the best, and it's honestly not even close. Don't get me wrong, Slime, Elf, and Ailuran are also outstanding but they don't even come close to Dullahan's all-around might.
The gap between them and Humans and Half-Golems, both re-rollable races, is even bigger. Whether they're good is up for debate, but what's not is how absolutely horrendous Orc is.
List of All Rune Slayer Races Ranked
Below, I'll cover all the races in Rune Slayer, focusing on their powers, passives, and specialties. Just remember to focus on learning the ropes, leveling u,p and having fun. There's no reason why an Orc couldn't defeat a Dullahan if you're skilled enough. Don't forget to grab Rune Slayer codes along the way, too. A
Dullahan (S Tier)
![]()
Roll chance: 2%
Dullahans are built for sheer endurance and frontline combat. With Grim Reaper restoring health after each kill and Undead Body reducing incoming damage, they're made to stay in the thick of battle. Perfect for players who want to absorb punishment and keep pushing forward.
They pair best with high-damage melee classes like Warrior or Striker, letting you soak up hits while dishing out steady damage. In Rune Slayer PvP, they're ideal for outlasting glass-cannon builds and slowly wearing down opponents with relentless pressure. If you want to be a tank that refuses to go down, this race is for you.
Slime (A Tier)
![]()
Roll chance: 6%
Slimes specialize in reactive defense and unpredictability. Slime Body can nullify incoming attacks, and Viscous Remains punishes attackers with blobs that slow and damage nearby enemies. They thrive in chaotic fights where randomness and adaptability shine.
This race pairs well with Magician builds, offering a strong defense while focusing on ranged magic damage. A Thief-Slime hybrid turns into an evasive threat that punishes aggression. Slimes are perfect if you prefer a defensive playstyle that frustrates and counters enemy strategies.
Ailuran (A Tier)
![]()
Roll chance: 10%
Ailurans are built for speed and mobility. Fleetfoot enhances your movement and jump height, while Beastly Coat reduces fire damage. Their speed makes them perfect for players who thrive on fast-paced, hit-and-run tactics.
Paired with Thief or Archer classes, Ailurans excel in quick strikes and evasive maneuvers. Their agility also makes exploration easier, opening up routes others can't reach. If you want to outmaneuver opponents and control the flow of combat, Ailurans deliver.
And if you're wondering—no, I didn't place them this high up just because of the cat ears.
Elf (A Tier)
![]()
Roll chance: 25.3%
Speaking of ears, those with pointy ones–elves are masters of magic and strategic combat. Mana Affinity boosts mana reserves, Strider reduces cooldown times, and Duskwalk allows for temporary invisibility, perfect for repositioning or ambushes.
They shine with Magician builds, offering sustained magical offense and tactical advantages. Archer-Elf hybrids use stealth and range to deadly effect. Elves are built for players who enjoy precision, control, and dominating from a distance with spells or arrows.
Human (B Tier)
![]()
Roll chance: 25.3%
Humans are flexible and balanced, with Tenacity providing small boosts to all primary attributes. They don't specialize in any one area but are effective across all classes.
This race lets you experiment with any playstyle—melee, ranged, or magic. Ideal for players who want versatility without being locked into a specific strategy.
Half Golem (B Tier)
![]()
Roll chance: 6%
Half-Golems balance raw power with resilience. Instead of multiple powers, they rely on Stone Body, which gives them a damage reduction with speed and weight debuffs. If their evolutions turn out to be great, I'll gladly move them up this Rune Slayer races tier list.
They work well with hybrid builds like Striker or Paladin, mixing offensive strength with solid durability. In PvP, Half-Golems are great for players who want to trade blows and capitalize on their survivability while dishing out serious damage.
Orc (C Tier)
![]()
Roll chance: 25.3%
Orcs thrive on brute strength and aggression. Their passive ability, Battle Hardened, boosts attack power as their health drops, encouraging an all-or-nothing approach in battle. Ash Walker grants you heat resistance, a bit more than Ailurans.
Best suited for Warrior or Berserker classes, Orcs are okay-ish in melee combat with overwhelming force. In PvP, they're perfect for players who favor aggressive, high-risk engagements and don't mind playing with a handicap from the get-go. Sorry, but Orc just isn't there yet.
How to Choose a Race in Rune Slayer
You don't choose a race in Rune Slayer; you roll it at random. What if you don't like what you rolled? In that case, you can purchase a Race Reroll for R$150.
