PCGamesN Sunday, June 22, 2025 12:37 PM At first glance, you might assume Len's Island is all about Stardew Valley style farming, fishing, and taking it easy. While that element is certainly important, this open-world survival crafting game puts a lot more weight on its combat side. Along with exploring the sprawling archipelago, settling bases, and growing crops, you'll need to craft and enchant weapons, armor, and tools to help you overcome deadly dungeons and beefy boss fights. First launched into early access in November 2021, it's now hit version 1.0, and developer Flow Studio is celebrating with a temporary free trial and a big Steam sale discount. PCGamesN Sunday, June 22, 2025 11:03 AM A new 20-minute gameplay demo for upcoming open-world RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker suggests that developer Rebel Wolves has the magic touch to incorporate the best thing about The Witcher 3. The mere idea of a new game from former CD Projekt Red devs that worked on The Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077 is enough to perk up my ears, but while that legacy is valuable, the proof doesn't come until the final product arrives. Fortunately, this extended demonstration of The Blood of Dawnwalker's dynamic and reactive quest system is exactly what I was hoping to see. I've never been a big RTS player, but I was an adolescent boy once, so I've often turned the house into intricate battlefields many times with the help of my bucketloads of toy soldiers. Many games tried to tap into this aesthetic over the years, but for my money, none has done it better than Army Men RTS, a game I cannot in good conscience recommend playing now but would definitely suggest remembering if you've enjoyed it back in the day.
Oddly enough, most of the Army Men series mostly focused on a shooter experience after its first few games, which I, as a once-adolescent boy, always found baffling. After all, you always played out big battles with the little toys, not individual heroes running and gunning through a battlefield—and the series probably wouldn't have resonated with me if it hadn't been the real-time strategy game I first encountered sometime around its 2002 release.
But resonate it did. Fighting through the fence and across the garden to get into a massive house through the basement—where the owners went remains a mystery—and then up all the way to the attic to find the mad Tan general made for a fantastic romp.
There are many fun winks and nods to adult culture, with the game's main plot charting Heart of Darkness or Apocalypse Now with the protagonists tracking down a general gone mad, the level names all referencing classic works of war, and an especially fun moment in the living room when the endless energy supply of a plugged-in PlayStation 2 console is given the monolith treatment from 2001: A Space Odyssey, Also Sprach Zarathustra included. (It is placed on its side so that it towers over its environment, and as someone who didn't have a console for a very long time, it was a real disappointment to discover that it is not the intended way to use it.)
And much like with Monopoly Tycoon, the soundtrack is the part of the experience that aged the best, a fantastic mix of orchestral army music with almost John Williams-esque childlike toy joy. It's well worth a listen even if you never played the game.
And if you never played the game, it is honestly better if it stays that way. While there are some great ideas derived from the premise—like the notion of destroyed units leaving a small plastic blob behind that you can collect for a fraction of the resources, something that doesn't apply to vehicles and electricity, potentially forcing both sides into a devolution in a long game as they fight through scraps—the game has many fundamental issues that simply stop it from being a good FPS.
The pathfinding AI is absolutely abysmal (especially where the resource-collecting dump trucks are concerned), and splash damage is way too powerful, meaning there is no viable counter to an early-game grenadier rush on smaller maps, and all late-game conflicts boil down to tank-spamming affairs.
Shockingly, the game also lacks a proper skirmish mode in its retail build, even though the capability is clearly there, as you are able to play against AI in multiplayer. While there are workarounds, little ol' 2002 me was stuck playing the pre-designed PvE battles in the pre-baked scenarios and the static opponents of the main game. And, trust me, getting anyone to play the game today is a bad idea—I speak from experience when I say that even a strong RTS player struggles against the stinky cheese strats detailed above, so it's really just the nostalgia that makes it worth revisiting the experience.
But if you were there shortly after the millennium, then, my goodness, the bells and whistles of the music and the beautiful flamethrower of one of our heroes will still make your eye glisten.
So, a farewell to arms, and to Sarge, Vikki, Thick, Shrap, Scorch, Riff, Hoover, Bullseye, and the rest of Bravo Company: it's time for you to go back to the toy box. As I close the lid, I continue to hope for a remaster or reimagining later down the line—and not the Soldiers of Misfortune kind.

You can find the darling of the animal world, the Capybara, during your PEAK adventures, but its exact location can be confusing.
Several achievements are tied to the game, and the Animal Serenading Badge requires you to play the bugle near them. The Capybara can be found in only one specific biome, and its location varies daily.
PEAK Capybara location explained
Before we dive deeper, remember that the exact location of the Capybara will shift when a new island appears. At the time of writing, these creatures will always be located in the ALPINE zone.
An easy way to determine their location is by looking for steam trails rising across the mountains. If you climb a bit, you should be able to locate the smoke. Keep following the trail, and you will come across its location. There's a chance for you to overshoot on your adventures. If you do, you'll have to wait for a new island to try your luck again.
There's an easier way to find the Capybara on any given day. You'll have to visit the game's official Discord to do so. Then, ask about the daily location on the #spoilers channel, as I have done in the following screenshot. The community will help you with the location and how you'll be able to reach the creature.
![]()
Follow the trail until you have reached the adorable animals, and play the bugle if you're yet to complete the Animal Serenading Badge achievement.

The official release date for EA FC 26 is not known yet, but leaks have emerged regarding the pre-order rewards. It's pretty clear that EA Sports, after a year of incurring hard financials with one of its biggest franchises, is going all in to lure more players to opt for the Ultimate Edition.
Now, remember that none of this is confirmed. However, it will be hard to turn down the Ultimate Edition if the leaked rewards are true, especially compared to what they used to be.
FC 26 leaked pre-order rewards include guaranteed Icons
Here's a list of all the leaked pre-order rewards.
It's not stated that the rewards are meant for the Ultimate Edition, but that has been the norm for the last few years. As always, the Ultimate Edition is expected to cost more than the Standard Edition (by at least $20, but that could increase, given the rewards we are supposed to get).
Based on the leaks, we must order our copy on or before August 26 to secure the rewards. This also suggests that EA Sports has no plans for an earlier release, as some leakers claimed.
Here's a comparison of what we got with the Ultimate Edition of FC 25.
Ask anyone, and they will tell you that a day-one base Icon is always preferable to a Hero. Even if you get one of the lower-tier legends, that card will add much value. The premium version of Season 1 Pass means you're saving $10 worth of FC Points further and get additional rewards (they will have incredible value when our squads are low on good cards and coins).
The difference between the Standard and Ultimate Editions has always been debated. The leaked rewards suggest that EA Sports wants to increase the sales of the Ultimate Edition. While players can and will always purchase packs, spending more on the Ultimate Edition is a guaranteed bonus for the developers at no extra cost. Additionally, it will also boost their revenues and show the financials in good light to the investors at the end of the financial year.
It remains to be seen whether the leaks are true and whether these "Iconic" attractions will be good enough to lure more players in.

Indie title PEAK might not have many glitches and bugs, but there are occasions where the game is known to crash when you're at the TROPICS.
The TROPICS is one of the several biomes available inside the game. As of writing, several players on the game's Steam discussion forum have discussed random crashes. The exact cause behind this crash is unknown, but it might be due to improper optimization of the gaming client.
There are a few tips and tricks you can try out to minimize the chances of these crashes.
Potential PEAK crashing at TROPICS fixes
Until there's an official fix from the developers, here are a few steps to ensure minimal crashes during your race to the top, as suggested by a moderator-approved posting on the Steam forums:

A future patch should likely resolve the issues. Until then, your best bet is to run the game on DX12 after updating your in-game client. If you're confused about what different items do inside the game, check out this guide to learn and keep the most useful ones in your backpack.

The Remedy Fungus is one of the most useful items to find in PEAK, and knowing when to use it will significantly increase the chances of success for you and your team.
Remedy Fungus effect in PEAK explained
The Remedy Fungus is one of the smartest healing options available in the game's current build. To use the item, you'll have to throw it on the ground. It will then create a healing area that will remove all negative effects on the players. You'll have to present in the healing area to get yourself healed.
![]()
There's an interesting aspect about the Remedy Fungus. If you are holding on to it (added to your item slots instead of being in the backpack), the item might automatically break when you accidentally fall. In simpler words, a healing area will be created automatically to save your life in case of a fall. This makes the Remedy Fungus one of the smartest healing items (unlike the Cursed Skull, which turns you into a sacrificial lamb for reviving your allies).
How do you use the Remedy Fungus in PEAK?
One simple way is to use the item when you and your allies have plenty of negative buffs that require urgent healing. Select the item and throw it on the ground to create the healing area. However, you should always keep this item in your inventory slot, not your backpack. The best use-case scenario of this magical tool is to heal you after an accidental fall. If it's in your backpack, the item won't break, and there won't be any healing area.

The sun is melting away civilization, making it unsafe to go outside. It's so hot that aliens are breaking through the soil, and strangest of all is that their faces look like ours. They wander with hatred in their hearts, eager to get into our homes and snuff out our light as we sleep. FEMA calls them "Visitors." You can study and ask, but would they ever tell you: "No, I'm not a Human."
Maybe it's all mass hysteria. But do you really want to take that chance? What if the rumours are true? New information is released daily, perhaps they're truly onto something. These Visitors may not actually be human.
![]()
The sun is burning our skin—it's chaos outside. A group called FEMA is taking people away to test them. They never come back. The quietness of the neighborhood is deafening. Bodies lie to waste outside your sanctuary, yet newcomers keep arriving at your doorstep, looking for a place to stay the night until something changes for the better (if it ever does). No one wants to be alone, and there's something out there punishing the lonely. You can't risk going outside ever. There's safety in numbers, but be selective. Not everyone can be trusted.
The intrigue of No, I'm not a Human
![]()
This is No, I'm not a Human, an upcoming horror game reminiscent of Papers Please and Alex Kister's The Mandela Catalogue. With the Sun's rays reaching an all-time high every passing day, the temperature is a killer. All you know are the four walls you've sought comfort in every night, yet staying inside them alone will get you killed, too. This heavily text-based horror is the Who's Who? of video games, as you must figure out whether the person knocking at your door is a human or one of those "Visitors." Clues come in on radio and television broadcasts, advising you that these Visitors can never get their appearance right. Something is always just a bit off. But not everyone can be bad, right?
The goal is simple on paper: Only let in human guests and keep those Visitors out. They will trick you with their smile, charm, and sob stories, but not everyone can be trusted. There's also the concern that who you let in is a danger to others, even when they're truly human. Some don't know they're Visitors, others show all the telltale signs. Speak to guests you let in, get to know them, and determine whether their stories are true or not.
Those imposters can only kill when there's more of them than there are of us, so pay attention or you'll lose allies. You're armed, and with your and your fellow guests' lives at stake, you don't want to take any chances. Are you perceptive enough to figure out who's truly human, or will the Visitors quickly tear down the safety you built and tried so hard to defend?
All will be answered this fall
![]()
Although a smaller version is available at Violent Horror Stories: Anthology, which offers just enough lore and multiple conclusions, I want more. This is the End Times, but how true are the stories we're being told? What conclusion will you arrive at? I've loved every second of this game so far and cannot wait for No I'm not a Human's full release this fall.
There are no obstacles to get stumped by, and it doesn't have any difficult gameplay mechanics you need to master, making it an easy game to pick up and try out for a couple of hours. Although it's not particularly scary, this is no flaw, for the atmosphere is fantastic. Sinking hours into this game feels natural, like popping on a cozy game to calm the nerves and forget about the outside world for a while. It's odd feeling this way when the setting is so ominous and disturbing because of its art design and realistic worldbuilding. But there's also that tugging feeling to keep playing and see this nightmare through. It's as if you're actually a survivor enduring this intense epidemic.
No, I'm not a Human stays with you, for its questions on whether this once quiet neighborhood is truly getting overrun by fake humans or if the sun and isolation are making us all go mad. The story is engaging and mysterious, with gameplay that throws moral dilemmas your way as the signs of these fake humans could happen to anyone. Bloodshot eyes from crying, a blurred photo because you moved before the picture was taken, or perfectly white teeth because you really care about dental hygiene. Could you live with yourself if you killed a guest? Visitors are left with blurred and bloody corpses after a shotgun to the face, but your fellow humans lie in trash bags. Is that the ending we deserve?
So what do you think?
![]()
Do you believe the rumors? What's truly going on outside? The mystery of No, I'm not a Human is gripping for the setting and concept alone, being something that could actually happen in our future (global warming and mass hysteria...not lizard people). If you want to uncover the truth or perhaps see how far you can get, then try No, I'm not a Human out for yourself as there's a demo readily available for brave guests.

Jump Stars Character Tier List
![]()
As we can see from this Jump Stars Character tier list, the curve of power leans more towards the Mythic and Legendary side. If you want to compete with the best and climb your way through the ranks, you will need a really strong Character on top of your skills. We will take a look at all the Characters in detail below, so you can see which one suits your playstyle.
Jump Stars Character List
Below is a complete and detailed list of all Characters in Jump Stars, listed from best to worst:
All Characters in Jump Stars have something going for them, just some have more advantages than others. Range is a very important aspect of battles in Jump Stars, so ranged characters always have an advantage in battle. If you are a beginner and you only have access to Rares, the best ones would be Goko and Luffo. If you are an experienced player, you should not bother with the Rares and Epics and go straight for a Mythic like Gojo, who is insanely powerful, but hard to play.
How to Get Characters in Jump Stars
![]()
![]()
There are two main ways to get Characters in Jump Stars. The first one is by Summoning them. All you have to do is go to the Summoning area or click on the Summon button on the left side of your screen. One summon is 50 Gems, and 10 Summons are 500 Gems. Make sure to save up on gems for a character you really want, as certain characters have a bigger chance to drop at certain times. The other way is to unlock them with Tokens. This way will take a lot longer, but guarantees that you get a character of your choice. You can earn Tokens by finishing BattlePass missions.
That is all for my Jump Stars Character tier list and guide. Let me know what your favorite Character is in the comments below. Check out our Jump Stars Codes to grab some freebies that can help you get the Character you want.
Jump Stars Character Tier List FAQs
What is the best character in Jump Stars? The best Characters in Jump Stars are Mob and Goju, because of their range and damage. What is the easiest character in Jump Stars?
