Maingear just revealed the Retro95, a dream gaming PC for anyone who grew up in the 90s surrounded by chunky beige tower PCs and CRT monitors. The rest of the game plays out as a chill and happy-hearted racer in a small but well-crafted world of rolling vineyards, bumpy forests, and honking city streets. It's a short tour, lasting only about five hours, but it's five hours nicely pedalled.

For UK folks, that means a tenner's been knocked off what you'll pay to pre order the standard version of the RPG, which comes out on October 29th. Xbox and co will be doing the same with their other holiday period games this year, rather than pushing up how much folks are paying to £70/$80.

New Sanrio Build-a-Bear Plush Is Hangyodon stuffed animal

Build-a-Bear revealed its next Sanrio stuffed animal is a Hangyodon plush, and this time the character is only available in a bundle. It is also an online exclusive so, while it can arrive unstuffed and undressed, it can't be picked up at a store. It costs $68.50

This is a situation in which you get multiple stuffed animals of Sanrio characters when buying the Build-a-Bear Hanyoudon bundle. In addition to the merman, the fish comes with Sayuri the octopus. As a smaller toy, she always arrives already stuffed and doesn't include any cosmetic accessories. Hangyodon himself has scales embroidered on his chest, if you don't have him dressed. The Hangyodon Sleeper pajamas that come with have both the fish dude and octopus all over them.

Here's a closer look at all the different photos showing off the stuffed animal, plush, and outfit.

This is the second online-exclusive Sanrio plush in a row. Back in June 2025, Build-a-Bear announced My Sweet Piano would join the collection. She also arrived with an outfit. Both her and Hangyodon became more prominently featured and known in larger communities as a result of their inclusion in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

The Hangyodon Build-a-Bear Sanrio plush bundle is now available online and includes a Sayuri stuffed animal.

Genshin Impact Nod-Krai Locations Highlighted

HoYoVerse continued its teasing of the Nod-Krai region in Genshin Impact, and there's now a dedicated Song of the Welkin Moon site that highlights locations and shares art from and a trailer for the game. The explanation also noted that "heavenly moons" were raised, but that one that didn't became these lands for "exiles." Visiting and looking through the whole site when logged in also gives you 40 Primogems, 2 Hero's Wits, and 2 Sanctifying Unctions. Wallpapers are available.

In the case of the new "Song of the Welkin Moon Teaser: Moonlit Ballad of the Night" Genshin Impact trailer, it showed off new characters who will play major parts like Lauma and Alice, while also showing old ones who will prove to be their allies. In particular, we see that Alice traveled with Albedo and The Wanderer (Scaramouche) on the journey to this new area.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWDyxSo-oq0

On the site itself, things begin with a map of Nod-Krai showing where all the major locations are in Genshin Impact. Paha Isle is one spot, and it's described as the Fatui base. Blue Amber Lake, Hiisi Island, Lempo Isle, and Nasha Town are all places we'll get to visit. Nasha Town is described as a place for explorers, and it seems that's where people like Alice, Albedo, Wanderer, and Varka went. Lauma is associated with Hiisi Isle. There's also a hint as to things going awry, as there's a section devoted to the Abyss there.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and the 5.8 update arrives on July 30, 2025.

Hololive - Street Fighter 6 Vtuber costume crossover - 1st wave

Capcom has revealed that it is working with Cover Corp to hold a new collaboration campaign featuring Hololive and Street Fighter 6. The companies will have several Vtubers from the group dress up as characters from the fighting game.

This collaboration will pair four Hololive Vtubers with the following Street Fighter 6 characters:

  1. Usada Pekora with Edmond Honda
  2. Tokoyami Towa with Ed
  3. Shishiro Botan with Vega
(the Japanese name of the former dictator known in the West as M. Bison)
  4. La+ Darknesss with Blanka

Capcom will add new merchandise featuring this crossover as crane game prizes in its Capcom Net Catcher app and physical amusement centers across Japan. Plaza Capcom Ikebukuro will particularly have its storefront and crane games decorated with the new crossover illustrations temporarily until September 25, 2025.

In addition, Capcom will bring the same crossover theme to its Capcom Cafe outlets in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, and Umeda, Osaka, from August 8 until September 4, 2025. The cafe will offer character-themed meals at ¥1,980 (~$13.55), sweets at ¥1,650 (~$11.30), and non-alcoholic drinks at ¥880 (~$6.00).

The merchandise booth in the cafe will also sell goods themed after the crossover. The lineup will range from stickers at ¥550 (~$3.75) apiece to T-shirts at ¥3,850 (~$26.30).

This will not be the first time Tokoyami Towa gets involved in a Street Fighter event. The Hololive Vtuber, along with Ichijou Ririka and Holostars' Yukoku Roberu, took part in the Sleep Fighter II eSports Cup that took place in early July 2025.

The first wave of Hololive - Street Fighter 6 crossover merchandise will be available in Japan on August 1, 2025. Capcom and Cover are also planning a second wave.

Review: Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV Is Perfectly Fine

We're in a bit of an odd position with Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV. Since the base game came out on the Switch, we know what to expect from most of it. It's a solid experience with an interesting approach to single-player that involves us helping "set up" boards for actual game sessions. This updated version, available on its own or via a $20 Upgrade Pack, includes new content, technical improvements, and support for new features only present on the Switch 2. It's still a great game, but someone who plans to primarily play with folks locally could probably just stick with the original Switch version.

The original Super Mario Party Jamboree had a number of modes, with Mario Party being the basic one, Minigame Bay letting you focus on minigames only, Party-Planner Trek letting you explore the boards in a single-player experience to fulfill objectives, face bosses, and play minigames, Bowser Challenges for a group, and Motion Island for motion-based games. The major new content changes here involve Jamboree TV being added. That lets you play Mario Party with Frenzy and Tag Team rules, Free Play minigames including new Switch ones, a CameraPlay motion-based game called Bowser Live, and the Carnival Coaster cooperative mode that involves motion and mouse-controls. Of those new modes, only Mario Party with the additional modes and minigames and Free Play are available online.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygEdhJqzGUI

To start, the base game features are great. I agree with Cody who, in our past review, gave it an 8 out of 10 possible points. There's a lot to the game. It's fun with friends. The nature of Party-Planner Trek means it is fun alone as well. It's incredibly responsive and looks great on the Switch 2 both in handheld mode and when docked.

I thought Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV also worked wonderfully when playing online. GameChat is smooth and clear. The other player's video feed was very well-defined and easy to see. There was no lag, which is important with minigames that prioritize precision. Even when using mouse-based ones, such as a 2v2 mission involving scooting Goombas into goals. I will admit that I was disheartened to see only Mario Party and Free Play supported online multiplayer.

In terms of the new Mario Party mode rules, both seem to add to the experience in potentially positive ways. I spent the most time in Tag Team, which involves 2v2 teams facing off. Stars and coins are shared between each pair, and there is a Together Dice that lets you join up at the same spot, roll together, and potentially get double the rewards. This proved incredibly frustrating on the Rainbow Galleria board. The other team managed to pass the coin-stealing Boo on their Together Dice turn, getting them to steal almost 40 coins from my team, then also passed a Star and getting to purchase two at that point since they had enough coins. Frenzy Rules makes the game last only five turns and start with a Star, one Double Dice, and 50 coins each to go through as quickly as possible. I could see Tag Team being great for families or folks with kids, while Frenzy Rules could be fantastic for quicker experiences.

As for those minigames, I will say that Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV ends up being a good showcase for what the Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 mouse functionality can look like due to the diversity regarding what's in there. While the actual actions can be simple, such forcing Goombas into nets for points, plucking Bob-ombs out of one hot air balloon basket into another, placing dominos, or drawing nets across spaces to catch Cheep Cheeps while avoiding Porcupuffers, the fact that they work so well in such quick, dire situations, even over the internet, says a lot about the execution. Now, I haven't seen every new minigame, but the ones I have make sense, show off the hardware, and sometimes are even quite fun. Now that I know exactly how it works, I'd even say I'm most impressed by the one involving working with another player to place dominos to trigger a reaction before the other team of two.

I would say Bowser Live feels like the biggest "gimmick" mode in Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV. As someone leaving in a situation where being too loud isn't ideal, I'm not a fan of the screaming element. The camera-based motion controls did register my actions correctly, which speaks to Nintendo's technology in a positive way. I could see that becoming a favorite for kids. The amount of actions and yelling seems like something children under 12 would really get into, given exactly how silly it even got when I was playing with… well, two other people decidedly older than 12.

Meanwhile, I consider the Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV Carnival Coaster superfluous. It's an on-rails experience in which up to four people play together to use the Joy-Con 2 mouse to shoot enemies, then occasionally play cooperative minigames. How well you do, both in terms of shooting down enemies and completing minigames, determines how much time you get. There are a few coaster backdrops and the camera will display everyone's facial expressions while playing, but I honestly don't see myself playing it again.

I will also say the GameShare feature works quite well in Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV. This works with both other Switch 2 consoles and original Switch models, though someone with a Switch standard or OLED model or Switch Lite wouldn't get access to every minigame. It feels competent and, again, I didn't notice any lag when I tested it.

Super Mario Party Jamboree remains a solid game, and I feel like Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is a natural pick-up for families. If someone is in a home with multiple players who own both Switch or Switch 2 systems, it could be great for game nights. However, if you're going to go with one Switch or Switch 2 system for a group session or plan to play only online, I think you might be fine sticking with the original game.

Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV debuts on July 24, 2025, and the original Super Mario Party Jamboree is available on the Switch now.

A bunch of marvel rivals characters fighting together

Crafting a strong team lineup is essential for winning in Marvel Rivals, and Team-Ups are one of the best ways to give your team an edge over the competition. These powerful abilities supply special collaborations between certain characters.

To ensure you're able to choose the best Team-Ups for each situation and that you use them effectively, knowing how every one of them functions is crucial. This roster changes fairly regularly, so it can be tricky to keep up with all of the important details. If you're hoping to learn everything you need to know about them, here are all Team-Ups in Marvel Rivals.

All Team-Up abilities in Marvel Rivals season 3

In season 3 of Marvel Rivals, there's a total of 21 Team-Ups between various characters on the roster. Most characters are only part of one specific collaboration, but there are some, including Luna Snow, Hulk, Human Torch, Jeff the Land Shark, Rocket Raccoon, and The Thing, who are part of two.

Name Anchor character Anchor bonus Secondary character (s) Effect
Arcane Order Doctor Strange 100 bonus health Scarlet Witch Doctor Strange grants Scarlet Witch the Mystic Burst ability, replacing Scarlet Witch's Chthonian Burst with Mystic Burst when activated. She can use this ability to release rapid projectiles at enemy targets.
Atlas Bond Iron Fist 15 percent damage boost Luna Snow Iron Fist channels the Chi of Shou-Lao into Luna Snow, transforming her ice power into a Chi-infused frosty ring that radiates from her. This ring can knock back enemies with chilling damage and applies a slowing effect while simultaneously healing her allies.
Chilling Assault Luna Snow 15 percent healing boost Hawkeye With the blessing of Luna Snow, Hawkeye is imbued with the ice energy, allowing him to fire Ice Arrows that pierce through enemies. If an Ice Arrow travels beyond a certain distance, it stuns any enemy it hits. If it strikes before reaching that distance, it instead slows the target. The farther the Ice Arrow flies, the greater its damage.
Dimensional Shortcut Magik 15 percent damage boost Black Panther When Magik is on the field, Black Panther can tap into Limbo to rewind a few seconds back to a previous position. After passing through Limbo, Black Panther gains bonus health based on missing health.
Ever-Burning Bond Human Torch Five percent damage boost Spider-Man Human Torch stores Pyrokinetic Energy in Spider-Man's suit, enabling him to unleash an Inferno Blast that sprays a fiery web while performing a backflip to create distance. The flames damage enemies and apply a Burn-Tracer. Detonating these Burn-Tracers inflicts damage over time.
Fantastic Four Invisible Woman 15 percent healing bonus Mister Fantastic/Human Torch/The Thing The Invisible Woman taps into her powers, channeling Psionic Might to fortify the Fantastic Four. This formidable force bolsters Mister Fantastic, Human Torch, and The Thing, granting damage resistance. Once activated, they continually generate bonus health, making up for lost health with each passing moment.
Fastball Special Wolverine N/A Hulk/The Thing Wolverine, Hulk, and The Thing can interact with each other. Once both parties can confirm, Hulk or The Thing can lift Wolverine and press the key to hurl him forward.
First Steps Human Torch TBA The Thing Human Torch lifts The Thing up into the air, and The Thing leaps down towards the ground, dealing devastating area of effect damage.
Gamma Charge Hulk 150 bonus health Namor Hulk charges Namor with gamma radiation. When Namor uses the Aquatic Dominion ability, he can spawn Gamma Monstro.
Guardian Revival Adam Warlock 15 percent healing boost Mantis/Star-Lord Adam Warlock enhances the rebirth power of Star-Lord and Mantis, granting them the power of cocooned revival.
Jeff-Nado Jeff the Land Shark N/A Storm When Storm activates Omega Hurricane and Jeff the Land Shark's It's Jeff is ready, they can unleash a powerful Team-Up ability. During this period, Storm's Omega Hurricane merges with Jeff to form a Jeff-Nado.
Lunar Force Cloak & Dagger 15 percent healing boost Moon Knight Cloak & Dagger can inject light and dark energy into Moon Knight to create a Light & Dark Realm where Moon Knight can become invisible.
Mental Projection Emma Frost 100 bonus health Psylocke/Magneto Emma Frost forms a mental link with Psylocke and Magneto, granting Psylocke Soul Resurgence and Magento Magnetic Resonance. These skills allow them to create illusory copies of themselves.
Operation: Microchip The Punisher 25 bonus health and five percent damage boost Black Widow The Punisher upgrades Black Widow's arsenal, adding a Pulse Mode to her Red Room Rifle. While the ability is active, using Straight Shooter fires a pulse beam that deals piercing damage.

all ores, relics and creature drops in abyss miner

There's a ton of Nodes and Ores to mine in Abyss Miner as well as Relics and Creature Drops to discover. I wanted to create a list of them all along with info on weight, value and locations (how to get) for easy access as you reach each Layer. Here are all Abyss Miner Ores, Relics and Creature Drops with info on values and locations.

Layer 1 Abyss Miner Ores, Relics and Creature Drops

You get all Ores in Abyss Miner from Nodes across the various layers by breaking them with pickaxes, heavy pickaxes or drills. Later ones you'll need to reach with gloves like the Tree Crystals towards the end of Layer 1. Relics are found randomly in specific areas while Creature Drops are, well, drops from specific creatures. I'll show you all you need to know about each Ore, Relic and Creature Drop below as well as their Nodes/locations. Note that all pickaxes and drills have a Power/Damage stat value per swing that determine how fast you break Nodes or slay creatures so here's how much HP each Node has in Layer 1:

  • Rock Node: 15 HP
  • Tree Crystal Node: 40 HP
  • Moss Stone Node: 160 HP
  • Quartz Node: 250 HP
  • Wood Scale Node: 350 HP
  • Cube Stone: 360 HP
  • Flower Rock Node: 395 HP

For Example: The Lead Pickaxe has Power 5 so you break the 15 HP Rock Node in three hits while the Iron Pickaxe with Power 10 would break it in two. I recommend always mining so that you're targeting as many Nodes as you can for faster farming.

Abyss Miner Progression and Money Farming Guide

abyss miner farming guide
Edit: Reversal Wood is in Layer 1 - Image by Destructoid

There are two things you need to consider when farming in Abyss Miner and that is tools and location. For tools, while the Heavy Pickaxe gets better and better with each upgrade, the Drill is the most efficient tool for farming. As for locations, here are the two best ones I found while I was testing farming:

  • Reversal Woods (Layer 1): You can get around $5000+ per run if you bring Drill T1 and a 500kg backpack. That said, you can get $10.000 to 15.000 later with a Drill T2 and leather gloves for climbing.
  • Heated Hollow (Layer 2): I got $30.000 to $40.000 when I first started farming here with Drill T2 and a 500kg backpack. I later came back with a Relic Drill and Chasm Hammer and got around $70.000 to $80.000 per run.

That's it for my guide on all Abyss Miner Ores, Relics and Creature Drops as well as a farming guide. Check out more of our Roblox guides and stay tuned to your favorite games.

A fairy with green skin, a leafy green dress, green and pink wings, and orange hair flying witth the sun right behind them in The Sims 4

Fairies are powerful beings with dazzling wings and an array of useful magical powers in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature. They're a very strong occult with lots of fun abilities, so you may want to know how to turn your Sims into a Fairy.

The process for becoming each type of occult is unique, so it can be tricky to figure out how to join this life state. If you're stumped on how to initiate this process, here's how to become a Fairy in The Sims 4.

How do you become a Fairy in The Sims 4?

Screenshot by Destructoid

There are two different ways you can become a Fairy in The Sims 4, which are through Create A Sim (CAS) or gameplay. The process for changing your Sim varies greatly depending on which of the two methods you want to use.

How to create a Fairy in The Sims 4

Creating a Fairy in CAS is the quickest and easiest way to become one. To make a Fairy Sim using CAS, you need to:

  • Load into CAS and make a Sim.
  • Locate and select the "Pick an occult!" option. It's a pink person icon that can be found right above your Sims traits near the top left corner.
  • Select the Fairy occult.

Once you've chosen this occult, be sure to customize your Sims Fairy form before leaving CAS.

You can change into a Fairy through gameplay by acquiring and growing a Fairy Seedling. There are four different ways to find a Fairy Seedling:

  • Ask a Fairy for one.
  • Order one.
  • Forage for one.
  • Complete Fables for one.

Ask a Fairy for a Fairy Seedling

After being a bit friendly with a Fairy Sim, you can ask them to give you a Fairy Seedling. The best place to look for Fairies you can chat with is Innisgreen, especially the Fairy neighborhood of Everdew, although you may also find them elsewhere.

Once you find a Fairy Sim to chat with, select either "Ask how to become a Fairy" or "Ask for Fairy Seedling." You may be gifted one when using either option, but it's also possible that the Fairy you talk to won't have one, so you may need to talk with a few of them before you find one.

The ask how to become a fairy option marked while talkin to a fairy in the sims 4

Order a Fairy Seedling

You can order a Fairy Seedling using any computer. To do so, click on a computer, locate the "Order..." option, and select "Purchase Fairy Seedling." This plant costs 758 Simoleons, so you need quite a decent amount stocked up to buy it. You can only purchase one when you don't already have one in your inventory, so if the option is blocked, this is why.

Forage for a Fairy Seedling

While foraging, there's a chance you might come across a Fairy Seedling if you're lucky. You can click the ground anywhere there's dirt, sand, or grass and select the "Forage here" option to search around and see what you find.

Complete Fables for a Fairy Seedling

Fables, which are special quests given by certain Sims around Innisgreen, come with a wide array of rewards, potentially including a Fairy Seedling. Not all Fables grant this item as a prize, but some of them do, so check out these special missions for a chance of obtaining one. You can find and interact with a Fable board to see which Sims you can ask for Fables.

How to use a Fairy Seedling in The Sims 4

Once you have a Fairy Seedling, click on the ground and select the "Plant Fairy Seedling" option to plant it. A pop-up will appear, asking if you're sure you want to plant it and summon Mother Nature. Select the "Ok" option and wait for Mother Nature to spawn by the plant.

Mother Nature will then grant your Sim a special potion that lasts 24 hours. Before this time is up, you need to visit and bathe in Moondrop Springs to officially become a Fairy. Moondrop Springs is a sparkling pool of water you can find in Everdew near the Fairy bar lot. Once you find it, click on the water and select the "Become a Fairy option."

Wait for your Sim to enter the water, then watch the transformation. Once it's complete, your Sim will officially be a full-on Fairy. You can then enter CAS if you want to change their wings or any other details for their Fairy form. You may want to use the best Enchanted by Nature cheats to make this process easier.

Bradley Barcola in EA FC 26 at the Parc de Princess

The first gameplay reveal of EA FC 26 has taken place on July 22, but it should be at least a few weeks before we get an idea about the official ratings.

You'll notice the the overall ratings of many stars are either the same or less. It's already been confirmed that the general power curve in EA FC 26 will be paced slower. To do so, the overall ratings at launch are likely going to be slightly less than what we had in EA FC 25. This is the reason why I have been miserly with the ratings.

Once again, these numbers are my predictions. The official ratings are likely going to be confirmed in the latter weeks of August.

Fortnite events and quests often challenge you to interact with gameplay features you likely don't use very often. It can be quite tough to get these types of missions done, as is the case with one that asks you to favorite a creator.

Even if you spend quite a lot of time exploring maps made by different creators, there's still a decent chance you haven't learned how to favorite them yet. Completing this task is essential for certain events, and it also makes finding your favorite maps a lot easier, so here's how to favorite a creator in Fortnite.

You can favorite a creator by selecting the "Favorite" option on their creator page in Fortnite. If you haven't done this before, it can be a bit tricky to figure out how to get it done, so here's a breakdown of all steps you need to follow for this process.

  • Locate and select any game experience. This includes those made by Epic Games and those made by members of the community. You can favorite the creator of any game, including Epic Games, so pick whichever one you like. You'll be favoriting the creator of the map you choose here, so be sure to pick one of your favorites that you play often.
  • Click on the three dots in the bottom right corner. Once you select an experience, three dots will pop up near the bottom right corner. You can click them to reveal more options. These dots only show up on the experience you select, so make sure you have one highlighted to get them to appear.
  • Select the "View creator" option. It should be the third option down. There's a "Favorite" option that appears right above it here, but it's for the map you've selected, not the creator who made it, so you have to complete one more step to find the button you're actually looking for.
  • Choose the "Favorite" option. It's a big, bright yellow button with a heart next to it slightly underneath the name of the creator you selected.

As soon as you select the "Favorite" option, the creator you chose will be added to your favorites. You can repeat this process for as many creators as you like, so feel free to give your other favorites a heart too. If you decide you want to remove a creator from your favorites, simply click the "Favorite" button a second time to do so.

What does favoriting a creator do in Fortnite?

Favoriting a creator makes them easier to find in the future as it adds them to a special "Favorites" tab in your library. From this section, you can click on any creator you've given a like to easily view their entire catalogue of games.

Missions asking you to favorite a creator come up occasionally for special events, like in the Summer Road Trip one. If you're looking to tackle more tricky tasks around the island, consider working on the Trials of Morgan Mystusing Spire Remnants to build a monument to the fallen academyThe Fall of Supernova Academy, and hitting Spires in different matches next.

Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is a mouthful of a game title and is the first major Nintendo Switch 2 Edition game to launch that adds new modes after the day one releases of both Switch Zeldas.

The original game was already pretty fun, but Nintendo is intent on taking some of their previous generation games and creating new features and content specifically for Switch 2. But does the extra context warrant an upgrade or purchase, or not?

We already reviewed Super Mario Party Jamboree for Nintendo Switch, so we won't be touching on a lot of the original sections of the game here. So if you want our full thoughts on everything included in the base game, please go check out that first before reading this, as it feels like an add-on to the original review.

Already read it? Then cool. Instead, we want to give more attention to what is new in the Nintendo Switch 2 version, and then give a score based on the full package deal. So while the review will focus on what's new. The final score will reflect everything included.

The upgrades

From the get-go, you have everything you had in Super Mario Party Jamboree available from day one. If you want to play Mario Party or the various other modes, you can do so before you even touch any of the Switch 2 stuff, though the version does come with some nice bonuses that add onto the original base experience for those returning to the title.

The Switch 2 version offers a lot of incentives to get back into the main modes, with a bunch of new rulesets to mix things up. You can now do teamed Mario Party sessions where you have two-vs-two matches, where you use the dice at the same time. It's a pretty fun mode and a good way to let a newbie learn the ropes with a veteran.

The other available mode is something called Frenzy Rules, where the game is only five turns long. Each player starts with 50 coins, a Star, and an item, and two Stars appear on the board, forcing you to try and initiate duels and win in a quicker version of the game that feels as frantic as it sounds.

Both these modes are something new to the base experience and are a welcome inclusion. Plus, thanks to the Switch 2, you can use your Switch 2 camera when playing with friends to watch their faces either crumble under pressure or have a sweet, smug look of satisfaction.

The new stuff

As for what is new, let's focus our attention now on the Jamboree TV portion, which is where most of the stuff exclusive to Switch 2 comes into play. There are numerous modes, and it feels like they were designed to be a tech showcase of some of the Switch 2's unique features.

As already mentioned, the Switch 2 camera is one of the most important peripherals needed to experience this version of the game in full. Most things are made with the camera in mind, and it rekindles a lot of Eyetoy PlayStation vibes when using it.

This becomes apparent in the Jamboree TV mode, Bowser Live, where you use a camera to appear on stage in-game and compete in a series of minigames controlled by sound and movement. Thankfully, if you don't have the camera, you can still partake in most of the game's offerings. You can still access this mode, but all the games will be sound-based instead. It's nice to know that one of the new modes isn't locked behind having a Switch 2 camera.

My only issue with the Bowser Live voice games is that most of them require you to scream 'GO' all the time, and it quickly loses its charm if you don't have the camera to mix things up. You'll be using your voice to move something and have it stop, which is cool the first time, but not something I can see myself repeating.

The other new mode of Jamboree TV is the Carnival Coaster, which takes advantage of the Switch 2 Joy-Con's new mouse controls. It's a pretty interesting mode as you take part in mouse-controlled mini-games across five different coaster-themed rides, all with their own level of difficulty. But like Bowser Live, it's cool for the first few minutes, but you'll find yourself mainly going back to the main Mario Party modes after giving it a try.

The new modes feel like a gimmick, but perhaps I only feel that way due to playing them solo. I imagine with friends, especially locally, that is where these modes really shine. So I can't be too harsh on them.

Closing remarks

All in all, Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV is a pretty gratifying experience. You have everything from arguably the best Mario Party game ever, with additional new modes that add onto an already packed experience.

If you don't own the base game and want to pick up the definitive version, then it's worth doing so here. While I would have preferred to see these extras be a free upgrade to the original game instead of having to pay to get Jamboree TV and everything else, it doesn't devalue whichever version you want to pick up—either the Switch 1 or Switch 2 version.

In short, if you own a Nintendo Switch 2 and don't own the original Super Mario Party Jamboree, definitely pick up this version. Especially if you are already kitted out with a Switch 2 camera and have friends to play with. But if you are a solo player who mainly plays online, or aren't that interested in the Jamboree TV or camera functionality, pick up the Switch 1 version and have a blast.

Both are gems and the best Mario Party. So, pick which version you wish. After all, if you get the Switch 1 version, you can still always upgrade in the future for a small fee. So you have nothing to lose.

Three characters standing by cars in the middle of the road in fortnite

A fresh summer event has arrived in Fortnite, and it's brought with it an array of missions you can tackle to claim special prizes. The Summer Road Trip event has quite a lot to it, so you may need some help navigating through it.

There are some epic free rewards featured in this event, and although they may be added to the shop later, they won't be obtainable for free, so earning them now is crucial if you want to save your V-Bucks. To do so, you need to know all Summer Road Trip event quests and rewards in Fortnite Chapter Six, season three.

There are two main types of quests with various stages to them that you need to get done throughout this event, plus a bonus one you can tackle for a special prize. The missions associated with this event are as follows.

  • Earn XP in creator-made experiences in a party with friends.
  • Earn XP in by Epic experiences in a party with friends.
  • Favorite a creator from their creator page.

For the quests that ask you to earn XP, you must have at least one other player in your party to make progress. The Summer Road Trip missions are all fairly simple and mostly just task you with playing to earn XP, but the one rule is that you have to do so with friends.

Earn XP in creator-made experiences in a party with friends

Creator-made experiences are any maps made by the community rather than ones made Epic. This includes XP maps, escape room maps, fashion show maps, and any other experiences like them. If you're not sure where to start, check out the best XP maps for Fortnite Chapter Six, season three.

There are nine free rewards you can earn throughout the entirety of the Summer Road Trip event, although it feels like a bit more if you unlock the grand prize. The free Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Bundle comes with a car base, an array of decals to customize it with, and some wheels, so it's really more than just one item.

How long is the Summer Road Trip event in Fortnite?

The Summer Road Trip event is live until Aug. 8 at 1am CT when Chapter Six, season three, ends. You have the entire rest of this season to get it done, but it can take quite a bit to get enough XP to claim all rewards, so it's best to get going on this one as soon as possible.

A good way to boost the amount of XP you're getting is to tackle key quests around the island. Some missions worth working on are the Trials of Morgan Myst, gathering the clues left by the instructors, The Fall of Supernova Academy, and hitting Spires in different matches.
