There's an Intel gaming CPU for handhelds with performance that now smashes its AMD counterparts, according to new benchmark data. A recent review of the MSI Claw 8 AI+ led Intel to work with the reviewer, pointing them to improved power settings that, once the tests were rerun, resulted in an improvement of over 30% in some games, with frame rates that beat every AMD handheld the site had tested.

This isn't the first time that this MSI handheld has shown off the potential of its Intel gaming CPU. A recent MSI Claw benchmark leak showed the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V offering seriously competitive performance in its 30W power mode, although this new test shows even better results. Our best handheld guide is littered with AMD options, but a seriously powerful Intel contender makes for exciting competition.

What is the best gaming mouse? That depends on your needs, but buying a quality rodent can revolutionize how it feels to interact with your gaming PC. A high-quality mouse with the features you need can make the difference between winning or losing in your favorite games or put more functions at your fingertips than you thought possible.

Right now, the best gaming mouse is the Razer Viper V3 HyperSpeed thanks to its comfortable shape, fantastic performance, and incredibly low price. For the best lightweight wireless option, we've picked the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 while our budget choice is the new Glorious Model O Eternal. Whatever your needs, though, there's a mouse on this list for you, with many extra options included in the Also tested section, which shows the mice we've reviewed that didn't quite claim top spot on our list. Also, if you're not sure what to look for, have a read of the how to choose section of this guide and check out the FAQ, which should answer all your gaming mouse questions.

How do you make a Grow a Garden sandwich? So long as it's between two slices of bread, you can get away with minimal ingredients. That's how it should work. But this is Roblox, so it doesn't. The Bazaar is finally on Steam, and Tempo has responded to pricing concerns with a sale that might just be too good to pass up. The fast-paced, autobattling deckbuilder has been impossible to look away from since its 1.0 launch in March, owing to both its rewarding gameplay and its divisive monetization model. Now, everything has changed; developer Tempo has dropped the free-to-play format in favor of a single purchase with additional DLC for more characters and cosmetics. The change didn't please everyone, however, so it's also offering a serious saving if you buy it on Steam soon.

Battlefield 6 developers have confirmed that the game's open beta, back up and running for a second test weekend, is currently missing Nvidia DLSS and DLAA support. The two AI-powered technologies for Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics cards are designed to either boost performance with upscaling or to improve visual clarity with advanced anti-aliasing.

Given the public comments made by the Battlefield 6 team, this is likely an unintended bug introduced when the game was updated between the two beta weekends. A big-budget FPS such as BF6 can be pretty intensive on your gaming PC's hardware, although the Battlefield 6 system requirements show that you don't need a top-spec GPU from our best graphics card guide to run it. An Nvidia GPU from within the last five years should be able to handle it.

August 14, 2025: The GTA 6 release date is still on track following the latest Take-Two earnings call.

When is GTA 6 coming out? Given how many years it takes to create open worlds of the same caliber as GTA 5, it's no surprise that Rockstar Games has already spent years developing GTA 6. Rockstar prefers to keep its secrets close to its chest until close to the end of development, but Take-Two has now confirmed when exactly we can expect it to arrive.

The Grand Theft Auto 6 release date has certainly been a long time coming. Early gameplay leaks of GTA 6 surfaced online last year, along with lines of source code and development footage for the open-world game. There have been plenty of rumors and speculation surrounding the release date since then, but we finally have confirmation of the GTA 6 release date, story, and setting. Here's all the latest on GTA 6, including trailers and news, right here on PCGamesN.

However, customization is still one of the most popular aspects of a video game for a reason: we just love to kit our characters and surroundings out with items that best express us.

You can express yourself in Supervive with unique Wisps, emotes, and sprays, and they're always better when they're free and exclusive, like these Twitch drops for the multiplayer game. If you're overwhelmed by the countless settings available in Battlefield 6, we're here to take away the guessing game and bring you the best Battlefield 6 settings to maximize your frame rate. The open beta has been incredibly popular with players so far, even surpassing the all-time highest player count for Call of Duty. The Battlefield 6 system requirements aren't overly intimidating, but gamers with older PCs and laptops may need to finally invest in some upgrades. If there's one thing to know about seasonal changes to live-service games, it's that you're never going to please everybody. However, the Apex Legends community seemed unanimous in its outrage over Bangalore's buffs in Season 26. Specifically, her smoke launcher tactical ability has a first-level upgrade that electrifies the smoke. This means that it deals extra damage to enemy deployables: Caustic's barrels, Wattson's fences, and even Octane and Horizon's ultimates can be destroyed by a simple smoke bomb. Right, so, it's happened. One of my calls for a new Burnout game via the art map void has received a response. Quite frankly, assuming it's accurate, it's not the news I was hoping for. That doesn't mean I'm stopping here, though.

In case you've got no idea what I'm on about, the other day I made my mark (no pun intended) on wplace, a site that picks up the mantle from Reddit of letting people doodle all over a map of the world. In two different places, I politely asked for a fresh entry in the Burnout series via slightly wonky writing.

Naming things is often difficult. Accurately translating things is often difficult. Put the two together, and you get the situation roguelike dungeon crawler The Crazy Hyper-Dungeon Chronicles has recently found itself in, when the Japanese translation of its name on Steam saw it accidentally re-dubbed "Crap Dungeon".

Let's face it, this has happened to all of us. You're working on a 2D adventure about delving into crypts, it's picked to show up at the Tokyo Game Show, and then next thing you know you're in a crap dungeon without a sword-shaped paddle. Ok, maybe not all of us.

Well, at least we'll stand some chance of survival, thanks to a patch Peak's devs have just put out in response to the Mesa update being deemed to damn hard.

If you missed this update emerging atop the release summit the other day, it adds in the cannibalistic co-op climber's first new biome, offering a different challenge to the alpine cliffs folks have been scaling since the game burst onto the scene. Key to surviving this desert is not to succumb to the heat, get blown up by dynamite, or fail in your attempt to recreate Indy's boulder scene with some mobile shrubbery.

The dawn of the second Battlefield 6 open beta weekend is here. Before it got underway, EA made a few tweaks based on feedback from last week's bout of FPSing about, with the headliners being some playlist changes and the introduction of custom match searching.

It's no massive reinventing of the big battlewheel, but hopefully should make a positive impact on the time folks have in this bit of the beta, which sees the Empire State map debut alongside week one's offerings. Rush and squad deathmatch modes are also joining the fray.

New Hololive Vtuber Games Are Holo Hidden and GuraQuest

Cover announced the two new Holo Indie Vtuber games starring Hololive performers are the platformer GuraQuest and hidden object game Holo Hidden: My Lovely Fans Can't Be This Hidden. The former is out now and is free. The latter debuts on Steam on August 29, 2025, and a price isn't available yet.

GuraQuest is a Lee-pic game that's actually been around for quite some time, and it's been speedrun before. You might have seen it on Newgrounds. The game involves going through stages as various original Hololive English Myth Vtubers like Gawr Gura, Amelia Watson, Calliope Mori, Kiara Takanashi, and Ninomae Ina'nis. So if you're playing as Gura, she can jump and double jump. Once you get her trident, she can dash with J and, if you charge it, get over gaps or even slam into walls to stick in place.

As for Holo Hidden: My Lovely Fans Can't Be This Hidden, it is an entirely new hidden object game from toMoMI Games with 12 scenes featuring Hololive Vtubers and mascots tied to them. (One of them is a bonus level.) Your goal will be to find various items in each one. There will also be a photo mode and an ability to color in scenes. To help show how that works and tease some of the performers present in scenes, there's a trailer showing it off.

Here's how that Hololive Vtuber game looks:

GuraQuest is available now for free, and Holo Hidden: My Lovely Fans Can't Be This Hidden will appear on PCs on August 29, 2025.

Ahead of that, more details about the game will show up in an "AGRS Channel" stream on September 14, 2025. The Steam page is already live.

The reveal also showcased some of the content that will be in the game when it enters early access. Ratatans, the characters we'll control, can wield different kinds of equipment. Among the items will be bombs, hammers, scythes, and staves. These will help add to strategic options. We also learned about the new swamp biome called Jam Jammer Jungle Journey and the icy Frozen Flower Fantasia world. Those are the third and fourth regions we'll explore.

As for that AGRS Channel showcase about Ratatan, that will go over what to expect after the game enters early access. The most important reveal teased will be a post-launch roadmap. That should go over details like how long it will be in development, when we should see new worlds appear, and maybe even how our feedback will be incorporated into the title.

While Ratatan is a Patapon type of game, it is also possible to more easily play the originals ahead of the spiritual successor launch. Bandai Namco released Patapon 1+2 Replay earlier in 2025. As the name suggests, that is a remaster of the first two games that originally appeared on the PSP.

Ratatan will enter early access for the PC via Steam on September 19, 2025, and the first two Patapon games are back as Patapon 1+2 Replay on the PS5, Switch, and PC now

Review: Tiny Bookshop Will Steal Large Amounts of Time

While many store management simulations are about doing as well as possible so you can gain more profits to reinvest and get even bigger so numbers can go up more, Tiny Bookshop eschews that idea in favor of a cozy and relaxed experience prioritizing the ambiance. It's a slower paced game about taking it easy and appreciating how books help a community while developing a cute little shop you run out of a trailer attached to your car. It is a bit slow-paced and follows a very set routine, but it's definitely a relaxing one. If you get into it, it's absolutely possible to find yourself really spending hours constantly selling books to new people in new places.

Tiny Bookshop begins with a player pulling into the Waterfront Square parking lot of the small town of Bookstonbury-by-the-Sea. Your goal is to take in the sights and sounds of the village, sell some books, become a part of the community, and manage a little store you can be proud of. It's a very chill experience. Do you have at least nine coins that you can pay as "rent" to hang your shingle for the day? You're all set, then!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fw23nSGvxNw

This also means that Tiny Bookshop features a gameplay loop that doesn't exactly work like other store management simulations. After that first day, things will start with you checking the newspaper. Is anyone selling a box of books you can afford in the Classifieds? (Wait a day unless it is free or a super-cheap crate of a genre you need, as the prices will go down the next day.) Is there a seasonal decoration you could use to drum up business? Does the actual news section's calendar point out an event you should attend?

From there, you get settled for the day. This means you pick your spot where you'll sell. Initially, only the 9-coin Waterfront Square is there. However, as you meet customers, you'll learn about and be invited to otehr locations, like the pricier 18-coin Far Beach. Each spot will generally feature a certain kind of clientele looking for specific genres. You can sell Crime, Drama, Fact, Fantasy, Classic, Kids, and Travel titles. So when you're also preparing to head out, you need to take books out of storage and place them on your current shelves in your trailer. It's also possible to arrange items outside and inside to do things like increase sales of certain genres or encourage folks to ask for recommendations.

Once you're actually at a location, things slow down a bit. For the most part, you'll be watching. It's possible there will be someone around nearby to interact with, like fellow vendors at the weekly flea market. But unless someone comes up asking for direct feedback or a recommendation for a book that could lead them to buying that and more titles for you, it is very hands-off.

After the sun sets, you pack up for the day. The next newspaper arrives, giving you a chance to restock and see the calendar again, and the cycle continues. There are some "light" quests, such as talking to a person at a location a certain number of times or selling to certain kinds of customers. But again, it's all generally quite relaxed. It's also compelling in a way I appreciate. Since the routine is really comforting and familiar, it's very easy to get caught up in that loop. Especially if you really love reading and start to recognize certain titles.

I do wish I actually had a bit more control over what I sell in Tiny Bookshop. When you're adding titles to your shelves to determine what you'll sell at the location you visit that day, you are arbitrarily just clicking to add X amount. But once you are in a location, you'll get requests for things involving certain page counts, types of topics, and other more detailed elements. Given neoludic games is pulling from actual books and comics, I would have liked to be able to select certain topics. Especially when heading to a spot like the Mega Marche store in town, where I know I'll sell a lot of kids books or crime dramas, or Waterfront Square, where factual and travel titles perform best.

It also would have been nice if the pace moved a bit quicker. Not the time of actual in-game days and weeks. That's great, and I felt progression in that manner was great. I mean more along the lines of development when adding more bookshelves to my shop, being able to expand with decorations, and building myself up. Tiny Bookshop seems to sort of pull back on our own growth in a way that left me a bit frustrated, as it sometimes felt like maybe I wasn't making enough on book sales to be able to get neat items before they went out of season, start selling in certain spots, and enjoy the customization elements that would let me make my shop my own and start to encourage sales of certain genres. Since the gameplay loop can get very repetitive, the speed of my shop's development made that rhythm feel more pronounced.

While I do wish it picked up the pace a bit, Tiny Bookshop is an absolutely delightful and cozy shop management simulation. I really appreciated the nods to actual literature. The ability to feel like a member of the community via some simple quests and character interactions is lovely too. I admit feeling a little stifled in terms of decoration and selecting stock, primarily due to some very minor pacing issues, but I still enjoyed running this quaint store and am eager to revisit it when I need to relax.

Tiny Bookshop is available on the Switch and PC, and a demo is available on Steam.

Jurassic Park Survival Maya vs. T-Rex

Remember Jurassic Park: Survival? It's okay if you don't, since it's been almost two years since it was revealed, and the project hasn't been heard from since. Until today.

Saber Interactive released a new featurette video out of the blue this morning, updating on the progress of the single-player, narrative-driven, first-person, action-adventure game that's all about the dinosaurs but also all about the film. It's the first info about the game since it debuted at The Game Awards in December 2023.

Jurassic Park Survival sneaking around
Image via Saber Interactive

Set the day after the events of the first (and best) Jurassic Park movie, players take control of Maya Joshi, a scientist on the island who's stuck there after Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, Ian Malcolm, and everyone else has already escaped. Tough luck.

And so, players will be able to move through and explore iconic locations from the film, as today's new video highlighted how hard the devs at Saber Interactive have been working on replicating locations and items from the 1993 classic.

The new featurette details the process of how Saber is working with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment to make the game as authentic as possible, which sounds excellent for anyone who's a fan of the original movie. It's an all-time classic, and one of the best films ever made, and you can't change my mind about that.

I somehow have vivid memories of seeing Jurassic Park in theaters when it originally released. I was four years old. Why was I seeing that movie at such a young age? You'll have to ask my parents. But I distinctly remember seeing the movie and then stopping at a game rental store to rent the Sega Genesis Jurassic Park game on the way home. It's something of a core memory.

There are some new, short snippets of gameplay in the featurette, too, showcasing Maya encountering the dinos and even getting eaten by a t-rex. Holding different devices in her left hand while slowly meandering through dinosaur-ridden areas, it's hard not to see the Alien: Isolation inspiration in the game. And that's enough to get excited about. Swap out the Xenomorph for a velociraptor and I'm already kind of sold.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4eXQMah9C4

Visually, the game is still looking rather rough, but the footage shown was pre-alpha, so I'm sure the final product will look fine. And since there's still no concrete release date or window, it may be some time before Jurassic Park: Survival sees the light of day.

But that's fine by me. This feels like it could be a special experience, so I hope Saber takes the time it needs to pay proper tribute to the film since the last few movies in the franchise haven't come close.

The post I forgot they're basically turning the first Jurassic Park movie into a horror game, but my hype is still bigger than a mound of dinosaur dung next to Jeff Goldblum appeared first on Destructoid.

Schedule 1 Westville

When you first complete Schedule 1's tutorial and enter the game's main city, you'll arrive in Hyland Point's Northtown and have just over a dozen customers to unlock. Over time, you'll find new regions, with Westville being one of many you can explore.

Westville location in Schedule 1

Westville is the region on the far west side of Hyland Point. If you're starting from the motel, you can reach this section of Schedule 1's map by crossing the north or south bridge. Alongside new potential customers, you'll also spot a Gas-Mart, a tattoo shop, and various Dead Drops.

How to unlock Westville in Schedule 1

Although you don't need any additional unlocks to run through this area, you won't be able to meet any new contacts until you reach Hoodlum I. However, progressing beyond this point will require reducing the cartel's influence.

You'll reach Hoodlum I by advancing through Schedule 1's story and selling to Northtown's residents. Each sale raises your in-game rank, with Hoodlum being easily reachable within the first few hours of playing. If you have every contact and haven't quite hit this rank yet, keep selling to them until you reach it.

Schedule 1 Westville contacts

Once you reach Westville and start unlocking some contacts, you'll learn about its cartel. You'll need to reduce their influence to advance beyond Westville into other regions.

Reducing cartel influence is slightly challenging. However, like before, you'll naturally do this by unlocking new customers, avoiding ambushes from cartel members, and weakening their trade deals. Generally speaking, as long as you unlock every contact in Westville and engage in plenty of trades with them, you shouldn't have much trouble unlocking more areas.

All Westville contacts and effects in Schedule 1

Here's a complete list of every contact you'll find in Westville, including their favorite effects:

Customer Favorite Effects
Trent Sherman Athletic

Meg Cooley Sneaky

Nearly every contact in Westville has low standards, with Keith having very low standards. Unlocking new customers here will be similar to Northtown, so you won't have to worry about significant difficulty scaling until Downtown and beyond.

archived trello and wiki guide

Roblox Archived takes you on a brutal cooperative dungeon crawling journey with tons of RPG customization elements. Luckily, there's both a Wiki and a Trello to keep track of everything you can do and find. Here are the links for the Archived Trello board, Wiki page and Discord server.

Archived Trello, Wiki and Discord Guide

roblox archived trello and wiki links

Here are all the community links you need to stay informed and play Archived:

Archived has a lot of RPG elements to keep track off and navigate so I would check out the Wiki and Trello first. Our BloxInformer Wiki's homepage has the basics outlined for you before you start browsing. On both the Wiki and the Trello you can find info on:

  • Basic mechanics and UI guide
  • Controls
  • All Locations
  • All Dungeons
  • All Weapons
  • All Skills and skill pages
  • All E.G.O.
  • All Enemies and Bosses
  • All Items and Outfits
  • All NPCs
  • All Mini Games

Once you're done with the Wiki I'd dive into the Discord for more specific information where you can ask questions. The chatting channels are great for asking testers anything you need to know. That said, it's also where you can track the game's progress.

Things like sneak peaks, updates, buffs & nerfs and all kinds of changes are all archived on the Discord (No pun intended). The same goes for the official Wiki and Trello changes which are outlined in their respective channels. It's also a place to participate in community polls and report bugs.

That's it for my guide on the Archived Trello board, Wiki page and Discord server. Last but not least check out our Archived Codes so that you can claim free rewards as they come out.

type soul schrift, voltstanding and sklaverei tier list and guide

Updated on August 14, 2025: Added a full tier list for Voltstanding/Vollstandig and Sklaverei.

There's been a lot of powercreep in the Type Soul re-release with the Nimble and Overkill Schrifts being really strong. Commons and Rares seem to be outperforming base Legendaries and Mythics which is common for Shikai and Partial Res as well. But some Legendaries and Mythics remain OP in Vollstandig/Sklaverei. With all of this in mind let's talk about all Quincy Schrifts and find the best one in my Type Soul Schrift and Voltstanding tier list and guide.

Type Soul Quincy Schrift Tier List

type soul schrift tier list and guide

This Type Soul Schrift tier list covers all Quincy Schrift options from best to worst except for Almighty. I don't know how to get that one yet so I haven't tested it. Other than that we seem to be getting a lot of powercreep from new Schrifts with Nimble and Overkill being OP right now for high-rank leaderboards. But there's still some awesome Schrift options from the old era that are doing good today so let's take a look. Below you'll find a detailed breakdown of all Type Soul Schrifts from best to worst.

Related: If you also play Soul Reaper/Shinigami check out our Shikai and Bankai tier list and for Arrancar/Hollow we have a Resurrection/Segunda Etapa tier list.

S-Tier Schrift

S-Tier Schrift Notes

Nimble
• The new Schrift Nimble is quite OP due to its mobility and defensive potential
• The T move puts you in a stance where you get three free auto dodges which is power creep in my opinion especially coming from a Rare
• The G is also a good damage multi-hit dash forward that's difficult to parry because of the multi-hit and it also staggers on hit making it a good combo extender
• What's worse, for every single dodge you do you gain more speed so this either needs to get nerfed or some other options need to get hella buffed
• Combine with Hakuda or Speed for a lot of damage and mobility

Overkill
• Similar to Nimble where it's a new Schrift but incredibly powerful dueling option despite it drawbacks
• Basically it replaces all your active moves with a powerful passive that boosts your stats slightly on grips/kills little by little, up to a maximum cap
• The cap is +40% Posture, +40% Rei, +30% Speed, +50% Damage and +20% Defense
• This is an incredibly powerful passive that will have you dealing tons of damage and tanking a lot too
• I highly recommend you just go to a low level area like Fullbringer world and you can even stack it on the NPC kills, not just players (You need ~200 grips/kills to max it out)
• Combine with pretty much anything like Kendo or Speed for a leaderboard worthy build

Heat
• Overall Heat deals a lot of damage with the moves and the burn effect so it's a really competitive base Schrift
• The T also stuns for a long time if you land it at max range so you can true combo off of it if you can close the distance fast with mobility moves or combo into Kido
• G is a really great high-damage multi-hit guardbreak move that's amazing on Speed and Kendo
• You can't go wrong with Heat if you constantly land T at max range and can close the distance for a true combo

Wind
• Wind is a Common Schrift but an S-Tier true combo master because the T move stuns and guardbreaks allowing for a true combo into G or Rising Swallow or Floating Strikes, etc. (True combo into fast moves)
• G also stuns and comboes well into many moves including G and then you can keep it going with fast attacks

Superstar
• The T got a speed buff and you can pull off great combos with it using feints into a critical or something similar
• The G move guardbreaks and is incredibly good with Air Hakuda since you can do it midair to keep them in the air and combo extend
• The new "OKAY, JAMES!" passive from the re-release further buffs this Schrift's damage, defense and even heals you on landing moves
• Somewhere between A and S due to the James heal and combo potential

A-Tier Schrift

A-Tier Schrift Notes

Butterfly
• They nerfed Butterfly G's cooldown and also made it so you can't movestack anymore back in September 2024
• That said G is still a really fast move that can combo into other attacks really well
• T is also pretty good since it's an AOE mini-stun that serves as a great combo extender
• Overall Butterfly has some great combo potential and is a viable pick in any rank

Explode
• The T has guard break and ragdolls and is great for allowing you to extend into other moves like Fast Bang, Flash Cut, Black Claw, Earth Shatter, etc. (Great with Speed and Hakuda)
• The G is really good for maintaining a combo since it extends the air time on your opponent
• Overall I think it's very similar to Butterfly for comboing so I value them the same

Zombie
• I mostly like Zombie for the G counter since it true combos into a lot of other Speed-Kendo-Kido moves
• Otherwise, the Zombie passive is really niche and virtually useless in high rank 1v1s though it is good in open world noob-stomping and team fights since it works like a Kyoka clone
• T doesn't have much synergy with other moves but is a pretty decent AOE cone damage in front of you

Balance
• Balance has received numerous nerfs over the past months with the removal of hyperarmor, lessening the stun effect, etc.
• That said Balance is still pretty good since T still guardbreaks and gives you Order to heal with your passive
• G is the main heal that sustains you and buffs your team or deals damage if you hold but I wouldn't hold it since the heal is better
• Overall while it's not as good as it used to be it still offers excellent sustain in high rank PVP

Deathdealing
• Deathdealing is such an awesome Schrift because it's so flexible and works on any build like Kido/Flash/Kenpo and even Ground Hakuda due to the G flashstep disable
• Your passive Lethal Dosage will ramp up a huge damage burst with your moves that explodes and ragdolls enemies when they reach 100 (Executes on low HP)
• T is an uncounterable move with high posture damage that just ramps up Lethal Dosage passive
• G is a great area control spell (both defensively in ganks or offensively for chasedown) since it disables flashsteps and also ramps up Lethal Dosage
• Just note that good players will always try to get out of G with stuff like Dropping Fang, Time Cut, Eviscerate, etc.

B-Tier Schrift

B-Tier Schrift Notes

Miracle
• The T here is really fun to use even though it's easy to parry frontally since you can aim it behind the enemy block to bypass it
• If you land a T it blinds them so go for a combo fast, works great with a mobility move to close the distance if you're further away
• The G is good damage and massive ragdoll that comes from the left (their right) so it can be awkward to block
• Overall this is a balanced moveset that's not amazing but not bad so perfect for B-Tier

Glutton
• You have a special grip here that restores meters which is good for team fights
• The T move is good for DOT damage and sustain if you can land it since it's a projectile but it's fast so it's not unreliable
• G is a great guardbreak lifesteal/mobility move that combos well into T since if you hit it immediately after T it procs all DOT damage right away and heals you more
• Really good for Kendo and Hakuda (G in air to extend comboes) but overall moves can be parried so B-Tier fits

Thunderbolt
• Thunderbolt is all about landing T to link and then doing G to ragdoll players which sets them up for a true combo into any pretty much any move
• The problem is that T is really hard to land on experienced players unless you're using feints, other moves and free aim to land an unpredictable T
• Overall when it works it's a free true combo but it's hard to land T which is why it's B-Tier

Power
• Power is overall good for combo extension since the moves here ragdoll enemies
• G is the powerhouse since it has hyperarmor, guardbreaks and has long range to ragdoll enemies
• You can combine it with Kendo, Speed and Hakuda but it's nothing broken so you'll have to practice combos to make it worthwhile

Iron
• Iron is pretty decent overall since T cannot be canceled and it deals a lot of posture damage
• G is hard to land but if you do land it it's a true combo into Floating Strikes or Rising Swallow or any fast melee move
• The only reason Iron isn't A-Tier is because there's a lot of end lag on the moves meaning you can get punished easily

C-Tier Schrift

C-Tier Schrift Notes

Visionary
• Visionary got massive nerfs in terms of not being able to movestack anymore so it kind of falls of heavily
• T no longer movestacks into other moves and is easy to parry
• G is pretty okay with the knockback but much slower and more easily punished since you can't hit enemies in front of you who get close and put pressure as it misses them
• The passives with the T damage reduction and ultra parry with G when on full Imagination is okay but not enough to place this higher than C-Tier for me personally

Fear
• The main problem I have with Fear is that it's predictable since you can see the T move coming a mile away you can just block it or counter it
• That said if you can pull it off the T move does stun enough for a true combo into something like a Rising Swallow or Floating Strikes
• G doesn't do that much damage and its only real use is slowing
• Overall this is an underpowered Schrift but it's not useless for D-Tier

D-Tier Schrift

D-Tier Schrift Notes

Compulsory
• While T has been buffed to increase its speed it's still a blockable move
• G doesn't even guardbreak even though it does good posture
• Overall this is a very weak Schrift but still more usable than Royal and X Axis

Royal
• Royal really needs a buff since both T and G have huge windups/slow animations that are easily punished
• They are both hyperarmor and guardbreak moves but that isn't really worth since your opponent will have ages to dodge or punish you
• This might turn into an A-Tier or higher Schrift if they speed up the starting animations on the moves

X Axis
• This is the ranged combat Schrift and the biggest problem with it is that Type Soul fights get real close real quick with lots of mobility moves
• That means that the T and G slow start-up animation like with Royal sucks since you'll just get punished
• As a base Schrift this is probably the worst one in the game

Type Soul Voltstanding and Sklaverei Tier List

Things change a lot when we start going into Type Soul Vollstandig/Voltstanding and Sklaverei true forms. Some become worse since they don't provide much and some Schrifts become drastically better in Volt/Sklaverei. Check out the full details below for each one individually.

S-Tier Volt

S-Tier Voltstanding Notes

Royal
• Royal has a bad base moveset with slow wind-ups but the Voltstandig version deals incredible damage and has great hyperarmor moves
• First your new sword has an amazing crit that deals great damage with good range and more importantly stuns to combo into other moves
• Z is where it gets crazy since it's a massive AOE series of slashes dealing great damage and stun-locking so if you hit one you're hitting them all
• X is a ranged slash that guardbreaks and deals massive damage
• C deals the most damage but it's really hard to land since it has a slow wind-up so I'm not the biggest fan
• But the C has a powerful one-time use mechanic where once you deal enough damage you get a CD reset on it and an aura that stuns your opponent forcing them to take the hit

Glutton
• Glutton is one of the best AOE/Combo movesets due to its Z that dashes you, guardbreaks and then deals AOE damage pulling people around you and combos into X and C
• X is your powerhouse that deals damage, heals you and sets up C which is another beartrap but a much more powerful one in melee that's a great finisher
• Overall Glutton is a one trick pony but that trick is damn good since Z is just such a powerful combo starter

Visionary
• Right of the bat Visionary Volt is miles better than Schrift, it just gets extra free damage on M1s and Crits by summoning no-stun rockets and guns
• T gets boosted to stun and deal more posture damage while G is hyperarmor multicast AOE damage spam
• Z also just stuns and deals damage so you can combo G's hyperarmor casts into Z for free damage
• And then after Z you can spam X and C for damage
• Note that while C's one-time meteor version deals massive damage it is parryable and dodge-able, but the regular C is also powerful to combo off of Z
• Overall tons of high damage combos that's really hard to fight against in 1v1 and teamfights

Heat
• Heat continues being S-Tier material with the Z Burner Finger combo stages just stunning enemies, dealing high posture and a lot of damage with some of it being AOE
• X is just overall really strong due to high damage, projectile range and guardbreak
• And C is a great tool for AOE damage around you and burn
• Heat is just reliable high damage and burn with tons of moves

Deathdealing
• If you've been in a Raid with a True Deathdealing Sklaverei you know that Lethal Dosage builds almost globally and can be incredibly powerful for executing
• You also get much better M1s and an incredibly good Crit with hyperarmor and a massive AOE applying Lethal Dosage
• The best moves here are Z cause it's a massive AOE damage with Lethal Dosage and Flashstep disable and you also debuff with C which is an AOE Lethal Dosage that ragdolls
• X is a hit or miss since its a no-Flashstep domain where you build up LD on enemies but they can get out with Horizon Core, Time Cut, Blooming Cut to someone, etc.
• The cherry on top is that you get auto-revived when you die in Volt to 30% HP so try to time deaths while in Volt (20-30s CD is quite short so you can do this twice usually)
• Easy S-Tier

Explode
• Tons of great high-damage moves with big AOEs that are also aided by the Volt's powerful M1s and Crit
• M1s guardbreak and deal high posture while the Crit has hyperarmor for dealing massive AOE damage and escaping combos
• Z is just a free damage dash since its unpunishable due to its hyperarmor
• X is great for controlling an area with invisible mines, especially in teamfights since they don't hit teammates
• That said, the main AOE damage comes from the C which is a massive damage nuke that you can use two times and have iFrames while charging it so you can also dodge moves with it
• Overall tons of damage and utility with the hyperarmor and iFrames

A-Tier Volt

A-Tier Voltstanding Notes

Butterfly
• Butterfly continues to be really good with great AOE damage, fast moves and wind-ups and some great mobility
• Each move hitstuns briefly allowing you to combo extend and move stack from any move
• Z comboes well into other moves because you get out of the animation earlier than the opponent gets out of the stun so you can even combo into Mortal Strikes, Fast Fang, etc.
• That said, X and C also do so this is a very combo oriented Volt that's really good for combo extending from any Skill Tree except maybe Kido

X Axis
• X Axis like Royal is much better in Vollstandig because the ZXC moves are really good AOE damage, pressure or negate your weakness of getting rushed down
• Z has a slow wind-up but deals great AOE damage for boss-raids
• X shoots a ton of bullets that are incredibly difficult to parry completely so you end up getting hitstunned by one and then you can combo extend into Z or C
• C is OP since you get 8 seconds of invulnerability completely negating the weakness of the Schrift where enemies can get in close plus you get insta-hit M1s
• You still have problems with being pressured in melee since you're ranged but the C helps a lot

Balance
• I put Balance in A-Tier for one reason and that's because while it's good for 1v1s, it shines more for teamfights so count it as a teamfight S and a solo A
• If you're good at parrying you'll love Balance because it reflects damage and ragdolls for a mini-combo into moves like Rising Swallow or Floating Strikes
• T is also better in Volt but what we're here for is the X scale that counts hits around it (not damage) and then heals allies and damages/stuns enemies when full so it's really good on Speed builds that do a lot of hits and in teamfights where there's a lot of hits in general
• The better parry combined with the C counter is what keeps Balance in A-Tier as a 1v1 build cause it's a low CD counter that true combos into a lot of moves
• Z is okay for solo since you can use it on yourself but it shines as a team support tool to buff allies if above 50% or heal and restore Reiatsu if below 50%

Superstar
• Superstar continues being really good especially with that passive still on but the moves you get here just expand your toolbox
• Z is for AOE damage while C is a great mobility punch that teleports you to the enemy (The only thing I don't like about Superstar and why it's A is that C sends them too far so it sucks for combos)
• X is a powerful buff and as long as you're in Voltstanding and James is alive you will revive

Nimble
• The incredible mobility Schrift amps up the pressure in Volt with G now dashing to enemies multiple times and stunning them so a great combo starter
• C is the best move since it buffs your speed and that in turn buffs the entire Vollstandig making moves instant and semi true-combos after any kind of stun due to how fast they are
• Z and X don't have a lot of synergy with the kit and are just great targeted overall damage but it does take Nimble down to A

Wind
• First off your blocks with Wind Volt become autoparries
• The Z is one of the best moves because it's a free combo into almost anything due to the stun
• X ragolls as well so a great combo would be Z into X into C which also ragdolls and cripples enemies
• Overall you can find really great combo flow in Wind and it combos with Skill Tree moves as well
• The reason it's in A-Tier and not S is because all the move scan be blocked/parried

Overkill
• Overkill remains simple and powerful
• Volt just gives you more value on your stats and increases how much you get from each stat for your lack of ZXC moves
• The Volt also gives an additional 10% increase so you're just a powerhouse of stats
• Being really skilled with 1v1 weapon combat is a must here since you don't have any abilities
• While you can still be really powerful dealing tons of M1 and Crit damage and being incredibly tanky, the lack of utility from lacking moves puts this in A
• S-Tiers just have a lot of outplay potential since their moves also do more stuff besides just raw damage

Miracle
• With Miracle you'll just keep resurrecting with each revive taking a % of your Voltstanding meter and dropping you out of Volt if you run out but you can regen it with damage
• Z is really good for combo starting since it increases the damage your enemies take from Miracle moves and it's not punishable since you're in the air
• X is the main damage move since you have hyperarmor and are just AOE damage bouncing enemies so you can combo into a lot of moves like Fast Fang or even Z/C
• C is just raw high damage and guardbreak
• Overall really annoying to fight but it's not OP once you practice fighting against it so it's definitely not an opressive Volt

B-Tier Volt

B-Tier Voltstanding Notes

Zombie
• If the Zombie corpse revive passive wasn't so niche this would be a much better style, especially now that they keep their mode if you raise in Volt (For example if you could just raise random corpses without having to grip)
• That said, Z is pretty good because it's an instant damage burst scaling with how much Blood they have and if they're on 100% it's a long stun that true combos into everything (Auto-executes if low HP)
• X is overall weak but decent for starting combos due to the skeleton hit stun while C is just overall decent mobility & damage that applies Blood
• In general, Zombie is decent but when compared to A and S it's just a bit weak since a lot of power is in that zombie passive that rarely triggers

Thunderbolt
• The Volt weapon deals decent M1 damage but the Crit is better because it ragdolls so you can combo into Kendo and Speed moves easily
• Z and X are jumping moves but X is the better one because it has hyperarmor disabling flashsteps
• C strikes all enemies around you and disables their flashsteps so both X and C are good into G
• Overall viable but as as overpowered as the higher tiers

Fear
• Fear has an okay moveset but the only reason it's not in C-Tier is because stacking of the Z and the Fear Volt aura Mindbreak passive stunning enemies allowing you to true combo into moves
• This means that you're really encourages to keep the melee pressure going so I like using Speed a lot in combination here
• Z also applies the passive around you so it's another good combo start
• X is a good reposition if you applied Mindbreak but are a bit further away so it's a combo connector while C is just meh damage poke

C-Tier Volt

C-Tier Voltstanding Notes

Power
• Don't get me wrong, Power Vollstandig moves do really great damage and AOE but they just don't combo well together
• There's no innate synergy so your playstyle will mostly be trying to land each move separately for good damage
• Higher-tier Volts offer more utility and combos so Power is IMO a C-Tier though miles better than Iron and Complusory

Iron
• Iron's Voltstanding is similar to Power where it has good moves but they just don't really combo well together
• The Z is a hyperarmor projectile that deals good damage and X is the same but melee AOE
• C is a really fast frame 1 counter but it doesn't really true stun so this is overall C-Tier

D-Tier Volt

D-Tier Voltstanding Notes

Compulsory
• One of the weaker Volts because the moves just do random stuff without having much synergy or combos
• Z deals okay damage, X stuns and C is just bad in my opinion since it's anti-combo potential
• I would skip Compulsory

pokemon world 2025 key art

It's that time of the year again when the best trainers across the globe enter the Pokémon World Championships, with this year's event taking place in Anaheim from August 15 to 17. For those unable to attend, there is still a way to get involved by watching the streams on Twitch.

By watching the various streams and the opening ceremony at 10am CT on August 15th, you'll get a bunch of codes that can be revealed to be used in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, TCG Live, and Go, as well as Pokémon TCG Pocket, which is having a giveaway for the first time this year.

If you don't want to watch the streams, though, don't worry, as we have all of the different codes listed below, as well as what is being unlocked with each game.

  • Connect to the internet and go to the Mystery Gift section in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Poké Portal.

There are a further five cards that will be given away to anyone watching the Pokémon TCG Twitch channel live during Worlds. This will also include an in-game desk box, card sleeves, and coins themed after this year's World Championships. If you tune into a partnered co-streamer on Twitch, you can also obtain rare illustration cards based on the five cards given away via the code. Most of these items require you to link your account to Twitch and watch the stream for a set time—around 30 minutes.

If you enable Twitch Drops on your account and tune in to Twitch.tv/PokemonTCG for at least 45 minutes, you'll receive a Twitch Drop for 12 wonder hourglasses and 12 pack hourglasses. No further rewards are being given away this year.

If you watch the Pokemon Go portion of the 2025. World's Twitch live stream, you'll be able to unlock special timed research featuring Skarmory as long as you watch for at least 30 minutes to receive a code. You first need to enable Twitch Drops on your Twitch account, tune in to Twitch.tv/PokemonGO on August 15.

If you missed the first day, though, there is an additional timed research that can be unlocked on August 16th that will allow you to choose from three different paths or featuring unique encounters, including:

  • Lapras, Sableye, Lileep
  • Squirtle, Stunfisk, Inkay
  • Sentret, Paldean Wooper, Wimpod

Once you have got your code, you can redeem it at the official Pokemon Go website.

Additionally, there are awards for Pokémon Unite, but we will not be going through them during this guide, mainly as the rewards are so small and are unlocked via watching the broadcast.
