PCGamesN Friday, August 22, 2025 11:45 AM When is the Black Ops 7 release date? This June, Activision dropped a casual reveal trailer for the next game in the Call of Duty line-up as part of a jam-packed Summer Game Fest weekend. The annualized series tends to bounce between Black Ops, Modern Warfare, and other Call of Duty sub-series, giving the respective teams time to bring their game to fruition. For the first time in Black Ops history, however, we're going straight from one BlOps game to another following 2024's Black Ops 6. That said, we're not continuing the story where it left off. Instead, Black Ops 7 takes us to a futuristic 2035, 40 years on from the '90s setting of BO6. Familiar faces do return in the FPS game, though, while mind-bending chaos takes the series to a place it's never been before. Here's everything we know about the Black Ops 7 release date so far. PCGamesN Friday, August 22, 2025 11:42 AM Acclaimed PC cooling firm Noctua has stated that it would "love to" make an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card with its partner, Asus, but that it can't because the supply of these top-end GPUs is so scarce. Asus has now made several quiet graphics cards in collaboration with Noctua, with its latest RTX 5080 Noctua Edition clad in the brown and beige livery synonymous with the brand, but there's a notable lack of an RTX 5090 version. Noctua makes many of our favorite cooling products, with its gear getting top spots in our guides to buying the best CPU cooler, as well as the best PC fan. With premium build quality and a commitment to low-noise operation, its products are very popular with PC hardware enthusiasts who want to keep powerful components cool without their PC making a horrible noise. PCGamesN Friday, August 22, 2025 11:49 AM A stunning new Razer collection just dropped, this time centered around Hoshimi Miyabi, the Void Hunter, from Zenless Zone Zero. However, this crossover mixes things up and includes a gaming chair in place of the typical gaming headset. When we reviewed the OG Razer Iskur V2, we were mightily impressed by its superior lumbar support, with this feature alone earning it a spot on our guide to finding the best gaming chair. The Razer Iskur V2 X is a stripped-back version of this chair, allowing it to retail at a lower price, but it still comes packed with features like built-in lumbar support, 2D armrests, and a wider seat. PCGamesN Friday, August 22, 2025 11:43 AM We've seen Doom run on everything from toothbrushes to washing machines, so seeing it run on unusual hardware isn't so unusual these days. That said, it's still quite impressive to see that one entrepreneurial engineer has managed to run it on an Anker Prime charger, a device which apparently provides "better than expected" frame rates. This Anker Prime power bank does have a surprisingly powerful set of specs, even if it isn't quite on par with the models in our best gaming PC guide. It uses a 2.26-inch LCD display, along with a custom ARM chip with a 150MHz clock speed, 8MB of SDRAM, and 16MB of flash storage, all much better than the specs needed to play the original. PCGamesN Friday, August 22, 2025 10:58 AM It's been a hot minute since we last visited Onimusha's Genma chop shop; 20 years, in fact, by the time Onimusha: Way of the Sword launches. Game design has evolved greatly since Dawn of Dreams arrived in 2006, and Capcom's latest hasn't shied away from modern sensibilities. Considering the series was originally left to wallow due to poor sales, there's a huge amount of pressure on newcomer Musashi to cut through a busy market. Speaking to Lauren about how the studio's managing expectations at Gamescom, producer Akihito Kadowaki and director Satoru Nihei acknowledge that this is a different Onimusha than what many are used to in some ways, but remain firm that the series' DNA is very much intact. PCGamesN Friday, August 22, 2025 10:03 AM AMD has just joined Nvidia in the unenviable club of graphics cards with burned power connectors, with reports that an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card's power socket has melted under load. While Nvidia GPUs have faced scrutiny on this issue up until now, this is the first time a card with a new AMD GPU has demonstrated the same issue. The card in question is an ASRock Taichi OC 9070 XT, which we tested for our AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT review, and which we found to be extremely power hungry when its overclocked mode is enabled. Unlike many cards based on AMD GPUs, this one also uses a 16-pin 12VHPWR connector, which is the same socket found in all the melted RTX 5090 stories, with a 3x PCIe 8-pin adapter supplied in the box. PCGamesN Friday, August 22, 2025 7:14 AM It's not a stretch to say Splitgate 2 missed the mark when it launched back in June. As someone who adored the original, it was a massive shame to see 1047's portal-hopping sequel underperform. I enjoyed much of what it had to offer, and wasn't deterred by the introduction of classes; it had some serious potential that was ultimately overshadowed by its issues. The studio, acknowledging that the game had "launched too early," has taken it back into beta for the foreseeable, leaving the OG Splitgate to do the heavy lifting. Development isn't cheap and, seemingly, this has pushed 1047 to sunset its official server support for its cult hit. The good news is that it lives on, as long as there are still people playing. The 2.2 Zenless Zone Zero update aired on August 22, 2025, in the midst of gamescom 2025, and it confirmed a patch release date. The next version will arrive on September 4, 2025, the day after the Alice and Yanagi banners end. That's also when we'll see the story continue and new characters like Seed and Orphie with Magus.
There are two main quests arriving in Zenless Zone Zero 2.2. One is the Obol Squad story quest, which continues the main campaign with "Chapter 3: Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night." This involves the team heading to Waifei Peninsula to assist with current events. We'll also be able to learn about Seed in "Floral Voyage Into the Unknown."
As for banners, 2.2 starts with new character Seed and returning Obol Squad member Trigger appearing. Both are S-rank units. The newcomer fills an Attack role and deals Electric damage. The second half of the update's banners will be Orphie with Magus and an Evelyn rerun. Again, both are S-rank. The newcomer is also an Attack Agent, but her assaults involve Fire-based damage. There will also be a new A-rank Bangboo called Excaliboo, and we can earn that in an event called Band of Brave Bangboo.
Here's the trailer for the new update:
And here's the 2.2 Special Program:
Zenless Zone Zero is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and the release date for the update patch 2.2 arrives on September 4, 2025.

Starting from August 29, 2025, a train covered in a Street Fighter design will run on the Manyo Mahoroba Line in Japan. This is a collaboration between the city of Kashihara and West Japan Railway Company to promote the nearby lines and neighborhoods.
The train will run from August 29, 2025 to late March 2026. As a note, the train may not run on certain days. Aside from the Manyo Mahoroba Line, the train will also operate on the Wakayama Line and the Kisei Line (including the Wakayama and Wakayama City stations). The train will include pictures of 22 different characters from Street Fighter. At the front of the train, you'll be able to see the same design that also appears as a manhole cover in Kashihara City.
This train is not the first initiative that Kashihara City teamed up with Capcom for to promote itself. Various locations around the city feature special manhole covers and statues, as well as a park, that are covered with Street Fighter characters. Finding them all will lead you across the city. According to the Kashihara website, Street Fighter and Kashihara are connected through Kenzo Tsujimoto, the founder of Capcom. Tsujimoto was born in Kashihara.
The Street Fighter train will run on the Manyo Mahoroba Line, Kisei Line, and Wakayama Line in Japan from August 29, 2025 to late March 2026.

As game development costs balloon beyond figures that mere mortals can comprehend, studios look at their existing libraries for surefire ways to guarantee game sales. For Konami, returning to one of the best games of all time in Metal Gear Solid 3, and giving it a new coat of paint as Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is its way to bring in gaming gold from both new players and those steeped in nostalgia. That is, if the studio can stick the landing.
Hideo Kojima is famously no longer with Konami, but his original cinematic vision for a Metal Gear Solid prequel is maintained in this remake. Aside from the visuals, most aspects are here for better and for worse. The UI has been reworked for larger screens and is clearer in some places, but more fiddly in others. The opening screen asking you for your favorite entry has been updated to include 3, 4, and 5, with new starting items to go with your preferences.
![]()
However, the quality-of-life changes that we expect from remakes are lacking in Metal Gear Solid Delta. There is a new control scheme, which is a great option, but Snake still feels like he's flailing about when laying prone in tight spots. Controls also don't feel as responsive as they used to. In particular, the D-pad menus would sometimes fail to open, and I'd have to enter the Survival Menu and back out before it would work again. In a game that relies so heavily on responsiveness to ensure the player feels in control, these are big missteps.
Bugs, or what feel like bugs, also remain. Leaving arrows in a little too long will see them lodged into Snake for the rest of the game. They are seen while sneaking, in cutscenes, and until the final moments. This is in the original, but it completely breaks immersion. The remake could've made a tongue-in-cheek nod to the issue before allowing Snake to take them out, maintaining the tone of Kojima's writing. Ideas like this elevate a remake, but this is a shiny imitation.
![]()
While scathing, a shiny imitation of one of the best games of all time still makes for an incredible experience. Kojima was clearly inspired by film. Metal Gear Solid Delta is full of long cinematic cutscenes and gaming moments like the infamous ladder climb set to the theme song. These are paired with the surprising mechanics the series is known for like clues found by looking through Snake's eyes in cutscenes or the ability to revive Snake during the "Game Over" screen.
Metal Gear Solid Delta includes some of the most interesting characters, innovative boss fights, and tense survival-stealth sections in gaming even today. The jungle setting, complete with its need to hunt and gather, is a fantastic step forward for MGS. The variety of difficulty options that allow you to choose everything from a single alert ending your game to walking up to guards and stopping them with unlimited tranquilizer darts are still here from the original. When a game is this good, it can feel pointless trying to improve it.
![]()
Extra modes, like the Guy Savage dream sequence and Snake vs. Monkey return. If any part of the original experience could have been added to and adapted without backlash, these two are it. Guy Savage has been hugely expanded and is exceptionally fun with beautifully smooth movement. The Ape Escape crossover is mostly the same with some extra apes and cute capture cutscenes.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater doesn't make all of the changes it should have, but it's hard to strike the balance between quality of life improvements, and weakening the original. Konami has drawn this line at the toes of the original without addressing a few areas that were in need of improvement. Delta is still a version of the best games of all time, but without desired improvements it might not be the definitive one.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater launches on August 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.

Epic has announced a new set of freebies for Rocket League and Fortnite players, who can obtain Picture This Wheels and more between now and the first week of September. Like many cosmetics in the past, these wheels can be used simultaneously in both games and can be earned for free.
The latest set of freebies went live earlier on Aug. 21 to mark the commencement of the Champions Road Tournament for Rocket League. While the tournament is for the pros, you can make the most out of it with the help of the new cosmetics.
How to get the Picture This Wheels in Rocket League and Fortnite?
The latest wheels are just one aspect of the free cosmetics available to players as of Aug. 21. All the cosmetic rewards are part of the latest Twitch Drops programs. While some of these items are usable in both games, you must watch Rocket League streams on Twitch to unlock the rewards.
Here's the complete list of all the available rewards.
The rewards don't stop there. You can keep earning more rewards once you go past the threshold of the first four hours. After watching the streams, you'll get a random art style (apart from Patriarch Pro Wheels) every 30 minutes. This is allowed until you hit the maximum cap of 10 hours of watching the streams.
There's one more cosmetic you can earn on Sept. 9, as Apex Wheels will be obtainable by watching an hour of Rocket League World Championships First Touch Live, which will be broadcast on Rocket League's official Twitch channel on the above-mentioned date between 11am PT and 12:30pm PT.
The full Twitch drops campaign went live on Aug. 21 and will be available until Sept. 10. There's plenty of time to notch up the required four hours to unlock all the wheels. If you have more time, you can keep watching the streams longer and unlock free paint palettes for your new wheels.
Once you have obtained the rewards in your Rocket League inventory, they will be automatically available in Fortnite (as long as applicable).

Division 2 Season 2 The Pact release countdown
Season 1 Crossroads is wrapping up soon, and The Pact will add a fresh theme of content for players. The Pact goes live on Sept. 9 on all available platforms, and the date is now official. It will automatically go live after the current season ends, but here's a countdown to help you keep on track with the new content.
The countdown is based on the following timings.
Typically, any maintenance related to a season update is around seven hours long, and begins at 12am PST/2am CST. The actual release timings could vary slightly (about an hour) from what's showing on the countdown above.
Division 2 The Pact features
Information about the upcoming season is rather limited at the time of writing. However, we have a firm idea about the central theme, as the Outcasts and Hyenas are forming a pact, and the Division will aim to bring them down.
Retaliation is a new open-world activity that will launch with season two. Retaliation brings additions to Control Points mechanics, as well as new ways of acquiring Exotic loot and routes of progression.
The new game mode will be a permanent addition to the game and allow veterans to vie for valuable rewards to increase their in-game grind.

Completing Star Path tasks in Disney Dreamlight Valley can be tough when their requirements are veiled behind riddles. While some are simple, others, such as cooking a "fairly fancy appetizer," can take a while to learn exactly what it entails.

How to cook a fairly fancy appetizer in Disney Dreamlight Valley
![]()
Cooking a fairly fancy appetizer generally requires making any four-star appetizer, although this task does sometimes vary between Star Path events. Some events have counted five-star dishes, too, but for the purposes of the Retro Roadtrip Star Path, only four-star meals count, and you need to cook up five of them to get this task done.
The easiest way to do this is to head into your cooking menu's filter page, select Appetizer as the meal type, and four-star as its rating. Pick any of these options to make your fairly fancy appetizer.
Here are some examples of four-star appetizers you'll find in Disney Dreamlight Valley's base game:
The easiest dish to use for this Star Path objective is Soufflé. You can buy all four of its ingredients from the Chez Remy kitchen, allowing you to mass-produce them as long as you have enough Star Coins to cover the cost. You can even sell the dish at a profit, making this a viable money-making method regardless of how far you are in your playthrough.
Completing this task gets you 20 Tokens to spend in the event. This is a massive amount for how low effort this mission is, so it's certainly worth completing to claim those special Star Path prizes.

You can also check out our complete list of Disney Dreamlight Valley cooking recipes if you want to prepare for future Star Path tasks or need to discover a few more dishes to complete your Collection Log. There are also plenty of other Star Path duties to get done, so next, you might work on digging for pottery material, harvesting something white and fluffy, and collecting some shoreline shellfish.

Star Path events always feature some of the most unique items you can get in Disney Dreamlight Valley. To earn them, you have to work through several tricky duties, like one that asks you to practice mine-fulness.
This task appears on just about every Star Path event, so it's an important one to know how to complete. The specifics of it vary from event to event, but the general concept is always the same. If this quest has you stumped, here's how to practice mine-fulness in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Table of contents
What does practice mine-fulness mean in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
![]()
The practice mine-fulness task is asking you to go mining and earn Gems. This can be done by using your Royal Pickaxe to mine rock nodes around Dreamlight Valley, Eternity Isle, and Storybook Vale.
The tricky part of this task is that not all rock nodes drop Gems. Other materials that drop from mining, like Coal Ore, Copper, Iron Ore, Zinc, and Stone, don't count for this task. Only items listed under the official Gem category on the Collection page work for this one.
Any rock node you come across has a chance of having some Gems inside, but only the ones that have bright, colorful Gems sticking out of them are guaranteed to have them. Luck plays a large role in how easy or difficult it is to acquire them.
The play on the word "mindfulness" might have you thinking this task is related to meditation or the mind in some way. Instead of being focused on the mind, you need to focus on mining, so the correlation to this clue is focusing solely on mining rather than your mind. It's a vague hint designed to challenge you to solve what needs to be done.
Practice mine-fulness Star Path duty in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To complete the practice mine-fulness task for the Retro Roadtrip Star Path, you need to mine a total of five Gems from around your village. Finishing this task gets you 15 Tokens to spend in the event, which is a pretty substantial amount for how easy this task is to get done, as long as luck is on your side.
If you're having trouble with this one, try mining around biomes where there are plenty of rock nodes. Some of the best locations to try are the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, Sunlit Plateau, and Dazzle Beach.
![]()
Consider crafting a Miracle Pickaxe Polish or an Even More Miraculous Pickaxe Polish to have an easier time with this task. Both potions can be applied to your Royal Pickaxe to grant more Gems when you mine. All Gems you find with this potion applied count for the Star Path duty.
You can also bring along a mining companion to have a chance of finding extra Gems and resources. Any extra items they find won't count for the Star Path task, but it's still a good idea to bring a friend along so you can stock up on materials while mining.
Gems are an essential item for most quests you come across in DDV since they're a fundamental crafting component. You can never have too many of them. Some tasks you may want to work on next are Dream a Little Dream, The Fortress of Saditude, and Create a Bear.

Throughout all of Joy and Sadness's quests, you've been gathering pieces of a mysterious bear in Disney Dreamlight Valley. With Sadness's final quest, which is Create a Bear, it's finally time to put the pieces together and solve this mystery.
Since this quest is focused on the mystery surrounding the strange dismantled bear, most parts of it are decently tricky to navigate. If you're having trouble working through this one, here's a complete walkthrough for the Create A Bear quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Table of contents
How to complete Create a Bear in Disney Dreamlight Valley
![]()
To finish the Create a Bear quest, you need to recover some of your own missing memories to learn where the bear came from and make a new one to create a better memory. There's a lot to get done in this mission, so here's a full breakdown of everything you need to do.
Locate three Memory Fragments
Your first mission is to locate three Memory Fragments around the valley. There are three locations you need to visit for this task, all of which are hinted at with vague clues.
All Memory Fragments appear as small glowing objects that are similarly shaped to the Glimmer you can earn from Timebending around Eternity Isle. Instead of being rainbow colored, though, they're a very light blue color.
![]()
Return to the Inside Out Realm
If you gather the Memory Fragments in the order listed above, you should already be in the right place for your next task. If not, head to the top floor of the Dream Castle to enter the Inside Out Realm or use your map to fast travel there instantly.
Place the Memory Fragments in the console
With all three Memory Fragments obtained, approach the console right in the center of the Headquarters in the Inside Out Realm. Interact with it to transfer the fragments into the system.
Activate Developer Mode on the console
Once the Memory Fragments are in place, you need to activate Developer Mode by pressing the button near the far right end of the console. It's marked by sparkles as soon as the memories are loaded, so it should be fairly easy to spot and get working.
Use the left, middle, and right section on the console to rearrange your memory
![]()
Next, you need to use the left, middle, and right buttons on the console to rearrange your memory. Each button can be used to cycle through three memories, and you must arrange them correctly to progress.
As soon as the correct order is achieved, a lost diary page will drop on the ground by the console. Pick it up to play the memory, then return to Dreamlight Valley to chat with Sadness about what you discovered.
Craft parts of the New Comfort Bear
It's time to make a new bear to replace the one you lost and turn the sad memory into a more uplifting one. To do so, you need to craft parts of the New Comfort Bear. Head to any crafting station around the valley to get started, then switch over to the Functional Items page to start making what you need, including:
![]()
Craft the New Comfort Bear
Now that you have all of the required parts, switch over to the Furniture tab and select the New Comfort Bear item. To make it, you need the new pieces you just crafted, plus all of the items you earned throughout Joy and Sadness's quests, including:
Once the New Comfort Bear is made, enter Furniture Mode to place it down somewhere in the valley. Then, meet up with Sadness wherever you placed the bear to discuss the situation.
Add blue and yellow furniture around the New Comfort Bear
![]()
Next, you need to enter Furniture Mode to add some blue and yellow items around the New Comfort Bear. You need five items in total, all of which can be selected from Sadness's quest filter in Furniture Mode or manually toggled by selecting the yellow and blue filter colors.
Any five items you want to use work for this quest, and you don't have to leave them placed once it ends, so pick any you like. I chose to use a Miniature Glowing Sun, a Short Birdhouse, a Sundrop Cloche, Sadness's Pillow, and a Display Bubble Machine for this quest.
Once the area is decorated, find and talk to Joy. She'll give you some Fireworks to use, so enter Furniture Mode again to place them close to the New Comfort Bear. Talk to Sadness once you're done to officially finish the Create a Bear quest.

Gathering materials is one of the most important tasks you need to tackle across many key quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In The Fortress of Saditude mission, one of the items you're tasked with getting is Donald's Fallen Feathers.
This resource isn't one you usually find around the village, so figuring out where to look for it can be rather tricky. You need lots of them to progress, though, so here's how to find Donald's Fallen Feathers in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Table of contents
Donald's Fallen Feathers location in Disney Dreamlight Valley
![]()
All of Donald's Fallen Feathers spawn randomly throughout the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, and Dazzle Beach biomes. Their exact locations look different for each player, and might be easy or difficult to spot depending on how much furniture you have placed around these regions.
How many feathers are in each biome also varies by player for this quest. This means the only way to track all of them down is simply by scouring all three of the vast biomes where they can appear. Although the locations vary for everyone, here's a breakdown of all locations where I found Donald's Fallen Feather to help you get a general idea of where to look.
How many of Donald's Fallen Feathers are there in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
![]()
In total, you need to find and collect 10 Donald's Fallen Feathers for The Fortress of Saditude quest. There are exactly 10 waiting to be found around the three biomes they can spawn in, no more and no less, so you must look carefully to find them all.
How to collect Donald's Fallen Feathers in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To collect Donald's Fallen Feathers, you simply need to approach them and press the interact button. This control varies by platform, but is always displayed right above the feathers when you get close to them, making the collection process quite easy once you find them.
If you're having trouble finding Donald's Fallen Feathers, try using Furniture Mode to scout around the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, and Dazzle Beach with an aerial view. The small feathers can spawn anywhere, even behind corners you may have blocked off or buildings, so checking every inch of all three biomes is crucial for recovering all of them.
The tricky The Fortress of Saditude quest has more tough tasks for you to tackle next, like collecting Wall-E's pillow and Goofy's pillow, so there's more work to get done. And with this quest out of the way, you can move on to other missions like Get Nostalgic! and Dream a Little Dream.
