Team Soda's ex-quack-tion parody Escape From Duckov launched last week, and has proven rather popular, with over half a million players on Steam. If you've yet to have the pleasure, it's a top-down survival shooting pisstake of Battlestate's loot sim Escape From Tarkov.

You are an Average Duck with a gun, trying to survive one of five maps against shifting enemy patterns and weather conditions. Gathered resources are spent on home base facilities and upgrades for your "over 50" weapons. You have to worry about fog of war, hunger, and thirst. Yes, you can also make your duck look like an item of human genitalia in the character editor. This will not help you endure the wilds, but it might see you getting featured on Rock Paper Shotgun Dot Com, a site that used to take pride in its work.

Though I deeply wish for it to not be the case, unfortunately the reality you and I find ourselves in is one where AI is being forced into every single crevice the worst corporations you know can fit it in to. It hasn't completely dominated any of the arts just yet, but its usage is becoming more and more common. If you're one such developer considering doing so, voluntarily, I would normally offer you some potentially unkind words, but instead I'll point you towards the one and only Nobuo Uematsu, whose stance on AI is one I'm quite fond of.

Sequels! More often than not, they're completely unnecessary, but until we're at a point where we don't have to bow to the whims of the free market, studios of all sizes will likely continue to push them out. Right now people like familiarity, there's a risk in paying for something new. What if the thing you're buying is a waste of what little money you have? Ah, but a sequel to a thing I already like, more of the thing I know enjoy, that's the stuff. So it's quite refreshing to see Dead Cells developer Motion Twin completely ignore that, and put their heart into making something new, a topic the studio spoke about their feelings on in a recent interview.

One of the actors starring in the rumoured Resident Evil 0 Remake has seemingly been unearthed, via a codename listed on his resume. In case you're wondering who it is, he played various characters, possibly including a mine-dwelling cultist, in FarCry 5.

As a refresher, this is the Resident Evil 0 remake Twitterer Dusk Golem claimed to be in development alongside a Code Veronica remake last year. Those claims were corroborated by VGC. Dusk Golem's since asserted that the "broad goal we're roughly looking at" for the two projects are early 2027 for Code Veronica and 2028 for Resi 0.

Let's get this over with early: Bloodlines 2 probably should not have been called Bloodlines 2. Shared setting and a couple brief, questionable cameos (plus one utterly rubbish bit of cosmetic DLC) aside, there is little tying this game to Troika's original janky cult hit FPS/RPG hybrid. This is not an RPG with deep mechanics, a wide variety of character builds or dialogue that reacts to mechanical choices. If that is what you need out of a game bearing this most hallowed of names, then you will be disappointed and frustrated.

But if you are willing to lay decades of dreams to rest and approach it purely on its own terms, you might find an entertaining if flawed romp through the World Of Darkness. A brawl-heavy, linear action game punctuated with Telltale-esque reactive dialogue and held together by a surprisingly compelling, century-spanning undead detective mystery.

See the Monster Hunter Stories 3 Avatar Character Creator

Capcom already established that in Monster Hunter Stories 3, we step into the shoes of either the prince or princess of Azuria to become a ranger and deal with a new war and possible world-ending situation, and now it shared a look at the game's character creator. Like other titles in the series, we get to customize our avatar. The social media clip spends four minutes looking at possible options.

When the Monster Hunter Stories 3 character creator trailer begins, we see someone gets to choose their body type, select color sets, and see how their resulting choices would make their avatar look in childhood. The second section lets you determine the character's face shape and skin tone. In the Face section, the options we can adjust are eyebrows, eyebrow color, eyelashes, eyelash color, eye shape, eyes, iris size/shape, eye color, and mouth. The Hair category comes after that and features a Preset section with hairstyle and color, a Custom Style area with front, back, and color options, and a Monster Hair area. The Cosmetics area comes after that and features three options that all have colors that can be adjusted. Finally, the last area shown is Other, which featured Accessories like earrings, glasses, and a tiara.

Here's the full video of the Monster Hunter Stories 3 character creator for the prince or princess of Azuria:

We got to see another look at the Monster Hunter Stories 3 avatar in a recent character trailer that focused on the Princess of Azuria version of the protagonist. Yostar Stella Sora Game With Relationship Elements Debuts

Stella Sora, the latest RPG from Yostar for PC and mobile devices, is now available worldwide. The PC version's launcher is available on the official site, while the Android and iOS ones are on the Google Play and the App Store. Chitose appears as the first five-star Trekker on the banner, and the first five-star Runic Disc is Sword Against Stream. There's also a launch PV highlighting some of the game's characters.

We already knew a bit about how Stellar Sora works, as Yostar held a closed beta in June 2025. You explore areas with Trekkers in the action-RPG, taking down enemies. As you do, your Squad Level goes up. This means picking one of three level-up bonuses for that unit's abilities. An early gameplay trailer showed Noya in battle, with Amber and Iris' abilities equipped. As for the dating sim elements in Stella Sora, you get to build up bonds with characters as you make decisions while playing, which affect your relationship.

There are a number of launch bonus rewards for folks to claim as they get started. A seven-day login event involves a Rainbow Disc Pack, a Stellar Resume Pack, and 10 Cerulean Tickets for the gacha. Everyone also gets 10 Sprout Tickets and 3,000 Silver Discs in their inbox right away. Among the other initial launch event rewards are a Permanent Banner five-star Trekker character.

Finally, here's the launch video showing the Trekkers Amber, Noya, and Iris from New Star Guild trying to find a lost cat.

New Senran Kagura Game Is Mobile Title Dubbed Project N

Marvelous and Honey Parade Games announced a new Senran Kagura mobile game, but at the moment there is no official title and it is known as Project N. Teaser art of one heroine appeared alongside the press release, on the official social media account, and during an announcement showcase. It is only confirmed for Japan so far, and there's no word about a worldwide release. It is currently scheduled for a 2026 launch window.

There are few details about the game available. New characters will appear and be the focus, though this is going to be a sequel to the previous mobile game Senran Kagura: New Link. That game ended in May 2025, though an offline option is available. Since the previous game featured schools known from the console games like Hanzo, Hebijo, and Gessen, as well as entirely new groups like New Wave Union, it's likely we'll see them appear or referenced again.

None of the new characters were revealed yet, but two returning characters are confirmed. Sisters Gekko and Senko debuted in Senran Kagura: New Link, with the pair attending Gessen and working together. While that game didn't appear worldwide, the duo's storyline from it ended up being featured in the anime Senran Kagura Shinovi Master, which did appear everywhere and is streaming on Crunchyroll

Character designer Nan Yaegashi is also confirmed as a contributor on this new project. The artist worked on the series for years. In addition to designing characters for mainline entries like Senran Kagura Burst, Yaegashi also worked on spin-offs like Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash and Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars.

The Senran Kagura Project N new game will appear on mobile devices in Japan in 2026.

Preview: My Card Is Better Than Your Card Prioritizes Making Cool Cards

I think I might end up loving My Card is Better than Your Card when it fully launches and enters early access, but not because of the actual card battle elements. This is a deckbuilder focused on getting cards that suit your strategy and continue successfully getting through each day. But in my early hands-on time, I'm having more fun with the actual card construction than anything else. Like it seems like we can end up with cards that have descriptions longer than Mythic Lyn in Fire Emblem Heroes

My Card is Better than Your Card seems designed to capture the concept of being a kid, discovering a game like Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon Trading Card Game, then spending your summer playing that game with everyone around the block. In my first few runs, it sort of felt like the thrill I had as a kid when trying to search for a my favorite characters for a deck. But since this is a roguelike, it is executed in a way that every run lets you go with a different approach.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3L02RMI8Pmc

To fit in with the concept, it almost feels like there's a little bit of a "life sim" element to it. This is because you pick your schedule for each day. This can involve opportunities to take part in battles, treasure hunt for more stickers, visit shops, meet with people, and then design your cards with your findings at the end of the day.

This is where what is my favorite part of the experience in this early access game comes in. Like Sticky Business, it involves card customization with stickers. Early on, it can involve just plopping stickers you have anywhere. But once you start getting a few days in, it's possible to actually create little scenes. The text portion of the card automatically updates with new energy costs and effects as you do.

As for the card battles themselves, I think they're okay right now? Your goal is to prepare your cards and deck for major fights each week. Instead of a typical Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon TCG style combat system, it's more about… well… looking cool! The goal is for the cards you play to be more impressive than your opponents, and as a result build up a multiplier that causes the bar at the top to make them more in awe of what you have than the reverse. Different effects can take effect and, depending on your decisions and toys (artifacts/accessories), can help mitigate possible disadvantages. At the moment, it almost feels a little unbalanced in some ways. (There are certain stickers that almost deal too much of a penalty on an opponent when played.)

I think the core concepts and idea behind My Card is Better than Your Card already feels very creative and cool even in this early build. I also like the idea of the battle system. I think maybe there needs to be some extra rebalancing in terms of stickers and toys to keep things from feeling too broken. Of course, more content would be great too, but we know that's on the way. There's real potential here.

My Card is Better than Your Card is in early access on Steam for PCs.

The Mothman 19 Outlaw Oasis Near the edge of a cliff directly north if Outlaw Oasis. Daphne's found quest will lead you right to him. Offers OXR Patch Up and Rift.
Bogstick 20 Creepy Camps Standing by a campfire slightly east of Creepy Camps. Can be hired as a Scout Specialist for 600 gold bars.
Phantom Meowscles 21 Gourdy Gate Wandering around the road that leads across the dam at Gourdy Gate. Can be hired as a Heavy Specialist for 600 gold bars.
Peely Bone 22 First Order Base Standing near a small hut directly south of First Order Base. Can be hired as a Supply Specialist for 600 gold bars.
Spooky Team Leader 23 Freaky Fields Hanging out near the very edge of the island south of Freaky Fields and west of the two giant turtle islands. Can be hired as a Medic Specialist for 600 gold bars.

Most of the characters this season offer OXR Patch Ups and Rifts. There are some, though, like the Scooby Doo characters, who offer special quests you can tackle, and others, like Peely Bone, who can be hired to fight at your side.

With helpful characters at your side, you can now take on some of the tougher challenges around the island. You might try visiting Pumpkin Takeovers with the Mother of Thorns, collecting items from Hive Stashes, becoming Ghostface, and discovering the swarm's access point to the island.

GTA 6 protagonists wielding guns

It still feels pretty hard to believe, but after well over a decade of waiting for it, Grand Theft Auto 6 is due out in just over seven months from now.

It's still possible that the title could be delayed between now and then, which is enough to strike fear in the heart of any gamer, but the excruciating wait has players digging desperately for clues as to when the next time we will hear from Rockstar about it will be.

GTA 6 Jason Lucia car
Image via Rockstar Games

This is far from the first theory about Rockstar planting hints about when GTA 6 will be heard from next, and they've all been just a little bit weird. But this latest one has a couple of bits of "evidence" backing it up, even though it's likely just nothing more than fan speculation that I find fun.

The post about the theory appears to have originated on Twitter/X but has been recirculating on the GTA 6 Reddit this morning, showcasing that in one of GTA 6's trailers, Jason's watch shows the time as 11:08. Naturally, some are taking this to tease Nov. 8, which is in just a couple of weeks.

The copium is strengthened by the fact that Rockstar Games posted on that same exact day back in 2023 that the first GTA 6 trailer would be released the following month. A few weeks later, the trailer leaked online in horrid quality and Rockstar posted the real thing the next morning, and we've all been impatiently waiting for the game ever since.

Listen, I get it, this is all very exciting. GTA 6 is likely to be the biggest entertainment launch of all time across any medium, and the anticipation grows with each passing week. Players are getting desperate since we haven't heard anything about the title since its most recent trailer back in May. And trust me, I hope the theory is right and we get some news in early November...but, sadly, I think it's just a watch. Prove me wrong, Rockstar!

At the same time, I think Rockstar releasing new footage on a random Friday on their own accord is actually more likely than the game showing up at The Game Awards in December or something. Either way, the studio will have to show some more of GTA 6 some time within the next few months if the game is to keep its scheduled release date of May 26, 2026. Which, for the sake of the industry, I hope it holds on to dearly.

https://www.reddit.com/r/GTA6/comments/1ob6h8a/many_are_speculating_that_november_8th_is_the/

What say you, dear reader? Are you buying into the watch conspiracy, or is this just some more malarkey from people dissecting what little footage we have?

Monitor room covered in blood with skinned body on office chair, faced away from camera

We're back to running from serial killers in the Black Eyed Priest Games title, SKINFREAK.

It's the night shift, and someone has to drive the elderly, the drunk, and the commuters home. But Max's job as a cabbie isn't the only thing that's on the line tonight. His life is in danger, for a prolific serial killer remains at large, looking for their next victim. While the police haphazardly hunt for the dreaded Skinfreak that wears the skin of their victims, Max wonders whether the very people he's driving around could be the Skinfreak.

Here is the full story and lore of Jordan and Matt King's SKINFREAK.

Spoilers ahead.

SKINFREAK story, summarized

Full body shot of the Skinfreak attacking Max

SKINFREAK starts with Max clocking in for his night shift as a cabbie. With strange customers and a persistent reminder that a killer is at large, Max is haunted by visions of the Skinfreak. He returns the cab for the night after completing his shift, desperately trying to avoid his tactless boss, who reminds Max at every opportunity that he will send him back to working on the corner (if you catch my drift). But Max isn't alone. Someone followed him here.

A tall figure wearing a black wide-brim hat, trench coat, and the face of another to hide their identity, ambushes Max, skinning him alive. The perspective switches to Belle, who was Max's last customer. She's filing a report with the police about an intruder in her motel room, adamant that it was her abusive father, who still gives her nightmares. Belle is called into work after hours by her boss, Mr. Baun, to install the latest software update on all office computers.

It's the "night of the creeps" as Belle says, as she has many strange and creepy encounters. The delivery man offers to stay with her, while weird blow-up dolls stalk Belle's every move, and someone stuck the keys she needs inside a vending machine. Luck is not on her side tonight. It isn't until she starts installing the new software that things truly escalate.

Radio broadcasts describe the sinister and brutal way the Skinfreak kills through torture and skinning his victims alive. A lockdown initiates, where Steve tells Belle to get to the seventh floor to override it so she and Lucy can escape. Lucy's cries are heard on the speaker system. Belle can choose to head for the basement or go straight to the seventh floor. Going to the basement is a trap, but escaping the rigged Saw-like invention means you can save Lucy from a gruesome acid bath. Belle heads for the seventh floor alone, where she meets up with Harold, the man she believes to be the Skinfreak.

Ending explained: Who is the Skinfreak killer?

Steve telling Belle it's the dead of night

SKINFREAK uses red herrings on the killer's identity. Harold was framed by Steve, who'd changed the details of the police investigation to paint himself as the good guy. Steve seemingly made this up to scare Belle and make sure she continued to trust him, seeing as Lucy didn't know about Harold either. Harold was working overtime that night, so it couldn't publicly be known that he was the killer. His office was ransacked, and a trench coat and hat lay at the center of the room. The evidence pointed towards Harold, but it was too obvious, like it was all planted. While Belle is hesitant when she finds Harold, you have the choice to question, shoot, or work with him.

There was another, albeit brief, red herring of the elderly man who lives in Joe & Sons. This character has dementia as he mistook Belle for his late wife, Natalie.

Black screen with side shot of Belle putting her arms out to keep the Skinfreak back

Turns out Steve was the Skinfreak after all, and had killed Max, Lucy, and Harold. Belle can save Lucy in time if she goes to the basement, but Harold will either die at the receiving end of Belle's handgun or Skinfreak's chainsaw. The signs of the Skinfreak's true identity were there. Steve kept leaving the front desk. He let Lucy sneak in, likely knew Harold was on the seventh floor, where Steve could pin the lockdown on him, and stopped the delivery man from leaving. The radio broadcast he interrupted would have likely revealed that the police had identified Steve as the lead suspect, first searching his home and then his place of work. Steve hid in the basement as the police searched the building, where he survived the standoff against Belle because of his thick skinsuit.

Steve felt like he had a special bond with Belle and wanted to wear her skin so that she'd always be close to him, removing the "ugliness" from within. Belle managed to escape and throw Steve off the rooftop, stabbing him in the eye with her exposed forearm bone as a final farewell. But losing her hand and witnessing the horrors of a serial killer broke Belle's psyche.

Screenshot by Destructoid

Belle was institutionalized at the Pleasant Insane Asylum after hallucinating the Skinfreak's grotesque face, and was later given a bionic hook as her new hand. She disappeared to avoid the persistent press who wanted nothing more than to sell her story. Belle didn't want the Netflix treatment and rightly so. What's interesting about SKINFREAK's post-credits conclusion is that someone robbed Steve's body a year following the game's main events. The police believe it's a childish prank, but I theorize Belle got her payback using Skinfreak's infamous technique.

A hand for a skinsuit sounds like a fair deal to me.

Fellowship Classes and Characters Tier List

Fellowship has released worldwide on PC in October, giving dungeon crawler and MMORPG fans the opportunity to skip the grind and jump into dungeon running. We've created a classes and characters tier list to highlight the best characters in the full launch.

Fellowship Character Tier List
Screenshot by Destructoid

Fellowship Character Tier List (Launch)

We got to experience six characters during the Public Test earlier in February this year. There were seven characters to try out in the Open Beta: two tanks, three DPS, and two healers. The full launch also offers us nine different characters to try out, spread across all three roles.

It's essential to keep in mind that every character is playable and able to complete all the content in Fellowship, and if you take the time to learn a character and excel at them, that will be far better than any tier list ranking. While the tier list is based on my preferences, they're subject to change based on future patches.

Disclaimer: Character to be assessed - Elarion.

S Tier

  • Meiko

    • As a tank, Meiko is also capable of dealing massive amounts of damage, making her a very powerful option for pushing higher-level dungeons. Once you've learned her monk-like combos, you can deal as much damage as a DPS while also timing your cooldowns and self-buffs for unparalleled defensive capabilities.

  • Sylvie

    • While Meiko is a damage juggernaut as a tank, Sylvie is a damage juggernaut as a healer, while still offering incredible healing throughput. If you build up and direct her pets appropriately, you can see Sylvie fly up to the top of the DPS meters and even burst down an enemy quickly.

  • Mara

    • Mara is one of the strongest characters to experience in the Open Beta, but she's also hard to master. Her playstyle is all about building up combo points to execute strong finishers. She also deals poison damage, but ultimately, you'll have to learn when to land her attacks.

A Tier

  • Helena

    • When it comes to pure damage mitigation, Helena is probably slightly ahead of Meiko with her Toughness mechanic. If you just want to be a pure tank, she's your choice. But higher-level dungeon keys will benefit from the higher damage output of Meiko, which is why she pulls ahead.

  • Rime

    • Rime is a caster damage dealer built around builder/spender mechanics, making use of her Winter Orbs to deal massive amounts of burst damage. She's relatively easy to play but can also benefit from optimized play on when to make use of her Winter Orbs, which can push her ceiling even higher.

  • Ardeos

    • Ardeos is a fun character who is relatively easy to master. Most of his abilities do Burn damage that scales up over time. The trick is to use his basic skills to get the remaining Embers, which are then set ablaze as Burning Embers. When triggered, Burning Embers can be used to cast Detonate. This results in instant damage based on the built-up Damage Over Time effects.

B Tier

  • Tariq

    • If a player takes the time to learn how to play Tariq and learn the mechanics of his Swing Timer and use your builders/spenders properly around the Swing Timer, Tariq can arguably be in the S Tier. However, his mechanics are much tougher to pull off effectively and efficiently, especially when dealing with some of the higher-level dungeon affixes, which makes it hard for him to keep up with Rime.

C Tier

  • Vigour

    • You might be surprised to see one of the healers, Vigour, so low on this tier list. But it's just because Vigour doesn't really bring anything to the table. His strength is AoE Healing, but due to group sizes of only 4, it doesn't quite match Sylvie's usefulness, who can just easily keep everyone up while also dealing massive amounts of damage.

There are certain things to remember when trying to catch an Alpha.

  • Only attempt to catch an Alpha if you're well above their respective levels.
  • Have at least one Pokémon that's well leveled and directly counters their type.
  • You should always focus on performing dodge rolls and avoid taking damage since that can cause you to blackout.
  • While you can catch an Alpha with Poke Ball, it's better to use the advanced types since it increases your catch rate.

Players playing Fellowship in co-op

Gear in Fellowship plays a vital role, irrespective of which character you pick, and you'll have to get better equipment to complete the mid and endgame content.

Sadly, the game doesn't do a good job at explaining how gear works and how to improve yours. This guide will list all the steps to help you get improved gear and establish your builds.

How to start getting gear in Fellowship

The first step is to clear the tutorial, which will introduce you to your Stronghold. This is where you can start a new game. You can either opt for Quickplay or the Ranked (Challenge) mode. Whether you're playing in Quickplay or Challenge, you can get new gear after a successful run.

A player fighting an enemy in Fellowship

When you're just starting, most of your gear will be at Level 1, and many slots will be empty.

  • After finishing a run in Quickplay, you'll get Marks of Fellowship and Supplies. You can use your Supplies to buy Level 15 gear.
  • In Challenge, you'll want to start Contender 1, 2, and 3 dungeons as early as possible. The harder the difficulty, the better it is. Do note that Contender 3 should be your desired entry point, but it's harder than Quickplay. Completing a Contender 3 dungeon will get you a Level 30 gear piece and some Gold.

All Dungeon item loot levels in Fellowship

The harder your dungeon, the better its rewards. The base level of gear received from completing a dungeon will go up with its difficulty. The table has all the relevant information regarding every Ranked division and what base level of gear you'll obtain.

Difficulty Item Level
Contender 1 15
Contender 2 30
Contender 3 30
Contender 4 45
Contender 5 45
Contender 6 60
Contender 7 75
Adept 1 75
Adept 2 90
Adept 3 90
Adept 4 105
Adept 5 105
Adept 6 120
Adept 7 135
Champion 1 135/300 (Legendary)
Champion 2 150/300 (Legendary)
Champion 3 150/300 (Legendary)
Champion 4 165/300 (Legendary)
Champion 5 165/300 (Legendary)
Champion 6 180/300 (Legendary)
Champion 7 195/300 (Legendary)
Paragon 1 195/300 (Legendary)
Paragon 2 210/300 (Legendary)
Paragon 3 210/300 (Legendary)
Paragon 4 225/300 (Legendary)
Paragon 5 225/300 (Legendary)
Paragon 6 240/300 (Legendary)
Paragon 7 255/300 (Legendary)
Eternal 270 (Eternal) /300 (Legendary)

Some weapon pieces will be locked to specific characters, while Legendaries are far more restrictive. However, they have unique effects that fit well with those characters. Hence, you should always try to get Legendaries as much as possible.

Best tips for getting better gear in Fellowship

There are some tricks you can follow to start obtaining better gear quickly.

  • Playing at higher difficulty settings is better. While the risk of failure is high, you can only get the best rewards by challenging yourself against tougher enemies.
  • Getting gear is massively luck-based, so don't be disappointed if you're unable to get a particular gear that you've been looking for a long time.
  • Use the Scrapper and Blacksmith to fill in spots that are vacant for a particular character.
  • Try to take all your gear pieces to Level 60, which is good enough for clearing the endgame content.

That's pretty much all you can do to find good gear in Fellowship that will help you to improve your builds.

A ghost trapped in a summoning circle in front of a flaming cross in Phasmophobia

If you think you've mastered the art of ghost hunting in Phasmophobia, you may be ready to put your skills to the test. Weekly challenge modes are a great way to see just how good you are.

These special trials modify how the game works, usually with rules that make the experience a lot harder. Successfully finishing the challenge gets you plenty of XP and cash, so it's well worth the effort. Here's the weekly challenge in Phasmophobia and everything you need to know to beat it.

Phasmophobia weekly challenge mode (Oct. 12-19)

The audio only challenge in phasmophobia
Screenshot by Destructoid

From Oct. 19 to 26, the weekly challenge is Audio Only in Phasmophobia. In this challenge, you're missing some essentials, but you've got some of the best audio-focused equipment to make up for it.

How to complete the weekly challenge in Phasmophobia

To finish the weekly challenge mode in Phasmophobia, you need to correctly identify the ghost present on the featured map three times. The specific changes present in each trial mode vary, but your goal is always the same.

All Audio Only weekly challenge modifiers in Phasmophobia

This challenge mode has several specific rules that modify the way the contract functions. Here are all the key details you need to know about this trial.

  • Map: Bleasdale Farmhouse
  • Starting sanity: 100 percent
  • Sanity drain speed: 150 percent
  • Sanity medication restoration: 40 percent
  • Setup time: Five minutes
  • Player speed: 100 percent
  • Ghost speed: 100 percent
  • Weather: Random
  • Fuse box state: Starts on and is marked on the map
  • Cursed Possession: Music Box
  • Equipment: Mix of Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III items.

    • Tier I: Igniter, Photo Camera, and Head Gear.
    • Tier II: Incense, Crucifix, Firelight, EMF Reader, Salt, Firelight, Ghost Writing Book, Motion Sensor, Photo Camera, DOTS Projector, and Flashlight.
    • Tier III: Sound Sensor, Parabolic Microphone, and Spirit Box.

  • Missing Equipment: Two Firelights, Sound Recorder, UV Light, Sanity Medication, Crucifixes, Thermometers, Tripods, and Video Cameras.

Phasmophobia Audio Only weekly challenge mode tips

The Audio Only challenge is one of the trickier ones you can attempt in Phasmophobia, so here are some of the best tips to help you get it done.

  • Bring all your equipment to the front door. Before you start investigating, bring all of the items you need to the front door.. It can be a bit annoying to do, but bringing all of your items to the front door early on buys you back a lot of time throughout the match.
  • Watch for unofficial evidence, behaviors, and patterns. You have limited gear to work with, so ghost hunting can be a bit tough in this one. Be on the lookout for unofficial evidence, behaviors, and patterns to make catching the right culprit a bit easier. Look for clues like the Wraith's refusal to ever step in Salt or the Phantom's refusal to appear in photos to catch the culprit here.
  • Check the truck cameras. You don't have Video Cameras in this trial, so the only way you can check for Ghost Orbs is through the truck cameras. You likely won't find much through them, but it's always worth checking just in case.
  • Play with friends. Your odds of success are a lot better with allies helping you through this tricky trial. With additional ghost hunters at your side, you can explore the map more quickly, work together to gather evidence, and continue the investigation even if you perish.
  • Don't give up. Since all equipment is provided for free, there's nothing to lose in this challenge. Because of this, you can keep trying without worrying about losing money or equipment. Give each contract your all and keep at it until you get it done.
  • Make an educated guess. Some ghosts are just easier to identify than others, so luck plays a large role in how easy or tough this trial is. Even if you have no evidence at all, always make a guess before you leave, then reroll to try again.

When does the challenge mode change in Phasmophobia?

The challenge mode changes every Monday at 12am UTC, which translates to 7pm CT every Sunday. You have a full week to tackle each challenge mode when it's available. All challenge modes return regularly since they're on a rotating schedule, so if you don't get to finish one, you can always try it again in the future.

Next weekly challenge mode in Phasmophobia

The next weekly challenge mode, which will run for a full week from Oct. 26 to Nov. 2, will be Technophilia. This challenge mode will begin as soon as this week's featured one, Audio Only, ends.

Clash of Clans players have been in a spot of bother on Oct. 20, and the problem appears to be a worldwide phenomenon.

The problem first began early in the day when players were unable to log in to their accounts. As of writing, the problem is yet to be resolved. Thanks to the nature of the game, it's impossible to have a session if you can't access your account.

As of writing, all global servers for Clash of Clans are down. This has happened due to a problem at Supercell's end. The studio has officially acknowledged the problem, and the cause appears to be related to the service provider they enlist.

If I had to guess, the problem stems from AWS having major issues, which have affected several services. Major players like PlayStation Network and Fortnite have also reported outages, but some of them have managed to restore their connections. As of writing, Supercell has activated maintenance for Clash of Clans. If you find that notice when trying to log in to your game, don't fret, since you're not alone.

When will the Clash of Clans servers come back (Oct. 20)

Today's maintenance isn't routine as it has happened in an unprecedented fashion. The maintenance has taken place since the login services are down, and it has nothing to do with an update of any type. Once the services are restored, you should be able to play as usual.

If you find the "Maintenance" notice when trying to log in, the only option for you is to wait. If the message is no longer present but you still can't log in, restart your Router/Modem and the game. Sometimes, the login services might be out in your region. Either way, it's best to expect issues throughout the day as Supercell works to restore all services.

Standing inside Pride Rock with Cogsworth, Timon, Pumbaa, and Nala in disney dreamlight valley

Now that he's settled into life in the valley, Cogsworth is looking to tackle some important tasks in Disney Dreamlight Valley. One of the many quests he'll ask you to help with is The Circle of Friendship.

In this one, Cogsworth and Lumiere are determined to find a great gift for the Beast, but they're not quite sure what to give him. It's a decently tough mission to work through, so here's a complete quest walkthrough for The Circle of Friendship in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to complete The Circle of Friendship in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To complete The Circle of Friendship quest, you need to help Cogsworth and Lumiere get the best gift possible for the Beast. Lots of chaos and side quests occur throughout this mission, so here's a full breakdown of everything you need to get done.

Visit Timon and Pumbaa at Pride Rock

Since Cogsworth and Lumiere aren't sure what to get the Beast, they want to seek advice from two other villagers who also serve royalty. Start by visiting Pride Rock so you can seek assistance from Timon and Pumbaa. You're looking for the house they share with Simba and Nala, wherever you chose to place it in the valley.

Once inside, talk to Cogsworth about the situation. Both he and Lumiere will then ask you to track down some items around the valley that they can use to craft their gifts.

Gather some Mushrooms for Cogsworth and Clay for Lumiere

Cogsworth asks you to obtain five Mushrooms, while Lumiere needs five pieces of Clay. You can find Mushrooms growing in the wild around the Glade of Trust biome and Clay by digging the ground around the Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, and Forgotten Lands. Once you have all of the requested items, meet up with Cogsworth and Lumiere to give them away.

Visit the Beast's Castle

Next, head to the Beast's Castle. You're looking for the house version of the castle that the Beast, Belle, Cogsworth, and Lumiere call home in the valley, not the Realm version you can visit through the Dream Castle. Chat with Cogsworth inside about what to do next.

Gather the materials to make the Red Rose Vase and the Leafy Hammock

It's now time to gather loads of materials to make a Red Rose Vase and Leafy Hammock. Before you can craft these gifts for Cogsworth and Lumiere, you must obtain all of the following items.

  • 15 Clay – Can be obtained by digging the ground around the Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, and Forgotten Lands biomes.
  • Six Red Roses – Unlocked after completing the Beast's level 10 A Gift in Crimson quest. Can be collected from the Beast's Greenhouse.
  • Five Gold Ingots – Can be crafted from Gold Nuggets, which are obtained by mining rock nodes around the Sunlit Plateau, Frosted Heights, Forgotten Lands, Mythopia, and Vitalys Mine.
  • Eight Blue Falling Penstemon – Found growing in the wild around the Plaza.
  • Five Pink Bromeliad – Found growing in the wild around the Sunlit Plateau.
  • Five Red Bromeliad – Found growing in the wild around the Sunlit Plateau.
  • Eight Jungle Bamboo – Can be picked from around The Lion King Realm. You're looking for sparkling green Jungle Bamboo sticking up out of the ground throughout this region.

Once you have all of the required items, head to any crafting station to make the Red Rose Vase and Leafy Hammock. You can find both under the "Furniture" category. After crafting them, head back to the Beast's Castle in the valley to check on Cogsworth and Lumiere.

Catch the bugs in the Beast's Castle

Cogsworth and Lumiere got into some trouble while you were away, so get to work catching the three bugs darting around the Beast's Castle to quickly fix their chaos. These small creatures move fast, but the castle is very small, allowing you to catch them with ease. After catching them all, give the Red Rose Vase to Cogsworth, then head over to Pride Rock to meet up with Lumiere.

Put out the fires at Pride Rock

Lumiere stirred up some more trouble over at Pride Rock, so equip your Royal Watering Can and use it to put out all eight fires around the area. Chat with Lumiere once you're done to give him the Leafy Hammock you made, then listen in as Cogsworth and Lumiere chat.

Gather ingredients for Cogsworth

Cogsworth now needs you to obtain some key ingredients for him, including:

  • Two Wheat – Wheat can be planted and grown from Wheat Seeds, which you can buy from the Peaceful Meadow and Ancient's Landing biomes.
  • Two Egg – Eggs can be purchased from the pantry at Chez Remy or Tiana's Palace. They cost 220 Star Coins.
  • Two Milk – Milk can be purchased from the pantry at Chez Remy or Tiana's Palace. It costs 230 Star Coins.
  • Two Sugarcane – Sugarcane can be planted and grown from Sugarcane Seeds, which you can buy from the Dazzle Beach biome.

Once you have all of the requested items, meet up with Cogsworth to pass them over. Then, head to the Beast's Castle to check in with everyone. Cogsworth, Lumiere, Timon, and Pumbaa decided to put together a little apology party for you, so dress up in three pieces of Elegant clothing to get things going. Chat with Cogsworth one last time to officially conclude The Circle of Friendship quest.

There are plenty of other tricky but important missions you get done around the valley. Next, you might work on Spirit Hunters, Serenade of Memory, Here, There, and Everywhere, and At Your Service.
