Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Monday, November 3, 2025 11:58 AM I'm sure I don't need to tell you that a majority of the data that various AI models train themselves on do so without getting any sort of permission to do so. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission, as they say, though in the case of ChatGPT developer OpenAI, they probably shouldn't have taken that lesson to heart. That's because Japan's Content Overseas Distribution Association (CODA) has requested that the AI developer stops using Japanese media to train its text-to-video model Sora. |
Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Monday, November 3, 2025 11:43 AM RPS has received criticism recently for covering Arc Raiders, an extraction shooter, using writers who don't normally like extraction shooters. Allow me to rectify this, by instead bringing you an appraisal of Arc Raiders on the Steam Deck as someone who doesn't know how to aim with thumbsticks. My actual excursions into these robot-conquered wastes have thus been going terribly. And yet, it's still abundantly clear that Arc Raiders is about as good a fit for the Deck – and, by extension, most handheld PCs – as you could realistically expect from a modern, high-fidelity, Unreal Engine 5-powered multiplayer lootshoot. Even if, at first, it doesn't seem like it will even launch. |

Shueisha announced two new Shonen Jump manga series, both of which feature simulpub English releases, called The Mage Next Door and Money Forest. The former runs in Weekly Shonen Jump, while the latter is a Shonen Jump+ series. Each one will run on a weekly schedule, so the first chapters are live on MangaPlus now and the second ones will both debut on November 9, 2025.
The Mage Next Door is a series from Hideaki Nabe, who previously worked on a number of one-shot manga. Toya Osoegawa is a mage from the human world who isn't continually striving to get better and become a stronger master of magic. Instead, his spells focus on being happy and relaxed, like floating when reading manga and or easing sore muscles. He's the Divine Magus' student though, and his latest task is to head back to the human world to defeat evil mages. The series follows his adventures there.
Meanwhile, Money Forest is a manga series from Kyohei Tawara, who previously worked on Rengoku no Toshi. (That ran in Shonen Jump+ too.) An elf named Rhodri is sent to a forest to deal with an infestation of greedy, violent humans attacking and enslaving elves and setting fire to their homes. But Rhodri is fighting back, using weapons and money.
This is the second week in a row to feature a new Shonen Jump manga. At the very end of October 2025, Gonron Egg debuted.
The next new chapters of Shonen Jump manga series The Mage Next Door and Money Forest will appear on MangaPlus on November 9, 2025.

Cygames shared the November 2025 Umamusume: Pretty Derby banner and event schedule, and it features banners with both new characters and alts, a continuing Half Anniversary Celebration, and a delayed Halloween event. The reason the Halloween event is taking place between the end of November and beginning of December, rather than over October 31, 2025, is due to that accelerated schedule Cygames put the global version on.
First, here are all the new Trainee character banners headed to Umamusume: Pretty Derby in the November 2025 schedule. Each one will join the general pool after her debut.
As for the upcoming Umamusume: Pretty Derby events, the November 2025 schedule confirms the next two parts of the Half Anniversary celebration and shows how delayed the Halloween event is. The schedule shows when each new addition starts.

It's been a busy time for Cover Holostars Vtubers like ARMIS' Crimzon Ruze, what with the recent 3D concert, anniversaries for some members, and now some also committing to streaming on Twitch in addition to YouTube. Not to mention it's getting close to his third anniversary with the company. To get a better idea of what it's been like working on recent projects, what he's been up to as the year draws to a close, and things to come in 2026, Siliconera got the opportunity to ask the performer a few questions about recent events.
Jenni Lada: You've hit your second birthday just recently, plus there was the Holostars 3D concert not long ago. What was it like preparing for both of those events in such a short span of time?
Crimzon Ruze: It was definitely a challenge! Honestly, between all of the other events, the Holostars Everglow Concert, and work projects, I didn't have time to plan anything special for a birthday stream. Luckily, the Ruzaders went out of their way to make it special for me. They made tons of awesome art, fan projects, fully illustrated books, and more- so that kept me pretty busy. It's almost enough to make me think the little weirdos like me. Yuck.
That wasn't the only recent major stream. You also took part in VCraft Enchanted as Clifford Rolexus for some major roleplaying. Considering over 50 people took part in this, what was it like being one of many working together to tell a story?
Crimzon Ruze: Vcraft Enchanted was a pleasant surprise! I actually wasn't personally invited, but I took up the invitation another HoloStar passed along and ended up being a bit of a fish out of water. It was my first time meeting most of the people on the server AND one of my first times participating in a somewhat more 'serious' roleplay (aside from my experience as a Game Master for TTRPGs). The best way to describe it would be electric.
Various different creators coming together to experience a sense of community and vulernability through roleplay is something I could never have expected from a Minecraft server, but I'll always cherish the memory.
Your character in VCraft Enchanted also ended up going through a major character arc and eventually becoming mayor of New Witchington. What was it like developing the character and what do you think you most took away from it?
Crimzon Ruze: The character I played was designed to be inherently comedic, as a witch hunter in a settings full of witches and wizards. After accidentally winning a mayoral ellection, he eventually grew into a sort of guiding figure, despite having previously been an antagonistic force- so it was interesting to navigate how this persona would fit into the role of leadership. If there's anything I took away from the server, it's that "Community is free."
You built the gMS-A Red Gundam on stream! Think you'd do another model-building stream? Like maybe one of the ROKR steampunk stag beetles or scorpions?
Crimzon Ruze: Ya'know what's funny? I'm not actually a huge model builder, but I've always had an interest. As a kid I used to build Warhammer figures with my older sister, so it's kind of nostalgic for me. I'd definitely be happy to tackle more models in the future, especially cool beetles and bugs. Wait, how'd you know I like bugs?
What do you feel Twitch offers you as a performer that YouTube doesn't?
Crimzon Ruze: I think the major benefit of Twitch is in it's chat interactivity. The ability to create and utilize custom redeems seems like a big draw- since it can be personalized to your brand.
Likewise, do you feel YouTube offers any benefits Twitch doesn't?
Crimzon Ruze: I think that Youtube's Membership program allows you to bypass the need for an external platform to share unique content with your community- so that's something that would pull creators towards Youtube.
Since we're getting close to the end of 2025, do you have a game that you'd consider your game of the year in mind yet?
Crimzon Ruze: I'm a notorious game hopper, so it's really hard to narrow down a category, much less a game. Lately I've been diving really hard back into the survival game genre, but I don't know if anything there would sit right as game of the year for me... Aside from that, I haven't gotten around to so many incredible releases I really want to play. Things like Expedition 33, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, beating Silksong and Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon, Hades 2. And that's not to mention all the indie titles I've missed out on.
So to answer your question in the longest form possible, with much unneeded exposition: No.
2026 will mark your third year with COVER as a HOLOSTARS Vtuber. How do you feel about your time performing so far, and what are you looking forward to doing next?
Crimzon Ruze: HOW THE FUCK HAS IT BEEN THREE YEARS ALREADY!? I HAVE SO MUCH MORE TO DO. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
You can find Holostars ARMIS Vtuber Crimzon Ruze on social media and streaming on YouTube and Twitch.

ARC Raiders is all about heading out into an unknown world for loot, riches, and maybe even some friends (or foes).
As part of ARC Raiders' storyline and journey to get a stacked inventory, there are over 60 quests in the game at launch that will provide new items, blueprints, and even story exposition to show off the lore of this interesting and cool universe.
Here's all the info we have so far on the currently available quest list in ARC Raiders.
ARC Raiders full quest list
This list is a work in progress as we play through the game. It's being updated regularly.
This article will be updated with new information and quests when they become available.

A Reveal in Ruins is one of the easier quests in ARC Raiders, but it takes a fair amount of time to unlock.
This quest requires you to find an ESR Analyzer for Lance. You'll have to extract with the item and then hand it over to Lance to finish the quest. Let's quickly look at where the ESR Analyzer is located in ARC Raiders.
ARC Raiders A Reveal in Ruins quest walkthrough
To complete A Reveal in Ruins, you'll have to travel to the Buried City map. To be more specific, you'll need to visit the Pharmacy (or Farmacia if you go by the in-game nomenclature). The Pharmacy building is situated in the eastern part of the map, opposite Piazza Arbusto.
I have marked the exact location in blue above. You'll see a gigantic gate that you'll need to breach. The breaching takes long, but the actual time will depend on your build. Go inside, and you'll come across a counter. Stand in front of it, and the quest will automatically update, highlighting the ESR Analyzer. Obtain the item to hand over to Lance and complete the mission.
While I haven't run into many human players at this location, you can expect ARC enemies. First, take care of those enemies, as they could kill you as you're trying to complete the quest. You can also expect to find some valuable loot from the downed ARCs.
Here's what you will obtain by completing the A Reveal in Ruins quest.
Make sure to extract successfully to keep all your items with you. I will personally add Tactical Mk. III to the safe slot if it's empty in your inventory. If you're yet to find this quest, you'll first have to complete the Medical Merchandise mission, which is significantly more complex.

The Medical Merchandise quest is one of those rarer missions that can be pretty difficult to complete in ARC Raiders.
Unlike most missions, Medical Merchandise requires you to have access to three different locations. This guide will help you complete the quest by laying out all the steps.
Table of contents
ARC Raiders Medical Merchandise quest walkthrough
The Medical Merchandise quest can be broken down into three different parts.
Research and Administration Building
The building (marked on the screenshot above, right) is located in the middle of the Dam Battlegrounds. You'll have to loot at least two medical containers. Head inside the building and keep following the corridor. You'll eventually reach a spot that's marked as Medical. You'll have to loot at least two of the containers from the correct section for your quest to update to the next part.
Hospital
Our next task involves the Buried City map and the Hospital building. I have marked the location of the building on the screenshot in blue. Unlike the first task, looting in the Hospital is easier, as you'll need to raid any three containers. Every container you see in the Hospital qualifies for the task. Loot any three, and we can then complete our third and final task.
Departure Building
The last location of the Medical Merchandise quest requires us to travel to Spaceport. Find the building, and then go up to the second floor, where you'll find the Exam Room. Loot any two containers from the area to complete the quest and obtain your rewards automatically.
The Departure Building is also an excellent area to get valuable loot depending on your luck. If you're solely concentrating on completing the quest, I advise coming with a free loadout. All three areas tend to have ARC enemies and human players roaming around.
If you're up for it, check out how to get the Blue Gate key for the Communication Tower in ARC Raiders next.

The quest to defeat 1,000 trainers in Pokémon Legends: Z-A can be annoying. One player, however, managed to reach over 1,000 battles in what's probably the most lore-accurate way possible while also being the most inefficient method imaginable.
They shared on the Legends ZA subreddit that they've faced Jacinthe, the battle-obsessed leader of the SBC, over 1,100 times. Jacinthe is the NPC who, during the story, forces the main character to enter her tournament at Hotel Richissime after constantly interrupting them during an important Rogue Mega Evolution hunt. As any spoiled rich person would probably do, she ignores the world around her to put her need to battle others first. So it makes sense that she would accept the same challenger, again and again.
While you only face Jacinthe once during the story, you can play her indefinitely after completing over 20 Reward Matches in the Infinite ZA Royale. She invites you to "Le Super-Tournoi de Jacinthe O", a bracket-style, single-elimination tournament that pits you against her in all four stages, meaning four straight matches every time.
She has six Fairy types over Lv. 70 in her team, which makes battles go long and turns the tournament into a slow, grinding slog. In the time it takes to battle Jacinthe once, you could play at least three battles in the Infinite Z-A Royale or twice as many low-level Restaurant Le Nah battles that players typically use for the 1,000-battle quest.
But playing Jacinthe 1,000 times is finally letting her have fun. As proven by this brave and relentless player, she never gets tired of it, so facing her over and over in her made-up tournament is the most lore-accurate way to complete this quest.
When you unlock Jacinthe's endless tournament, you've already played hundreds of battles through the story and Infinite Z-A Royale. Maybe this trainer is Jacinthe incarnate, or the person who inspired Game Freak to create her character.
If you're obsessed with battling the same trainer repeatedly, there's your challenge. According to the player, they earned 200,000 to 300,000 PokéDollars per hour, so there's an upside to getting this obsessed.

The Broken Monument quest is one of the trickiest ones to complete in ARC Raiders due to its sheer number of tasks, but you can make the process more efficient with some simple strategies.
You'll have seven different tasks to complete, and you'll have to complete all of them in a single raid. Failing even one of them will automatically reset your progress, and you'll have to try again.
Let's look at the tasks and how you can complete them in ARC Raiders.
ARC Raiders Broken Monument walkthrough
Here are the seven tasks that are part of the Broken Monument quest.
If you break down the whole quest, you'll find that the basic job is to find the three items and bring them to Tian Wen. First, we have to reach the Scrap Yard location to activate the quest.
Then, we begin our pursuit of the three items. Thankfully, all three items are located pretty close to one another. They can be found in the Scrap Yard, and I have marked the locations to make it easy for you.
The last part of the task is to deliver the items by manually selecting them from your inventory and claiming your rewards. Be careful about the last part, and avoid ARC enemies and human players as much as possible.

The Loom poses the greatest threat in R.E.P.O. for she knows where you are at all times. Menacingly walking towards the one target she's set her sights on, the Loom can only attack one player at a time unless provoked. The only warning you get that you're next on her hit list is the foreboding image of hands closing in on your screen. Solo semibots will always see this towards the start of the level if the Loom has spawned in. Otherwise, the hands are present on only one semibot at the start of the round, until she switches targets. But what makes her switch?
If the Loom uses her singular but powerful (100 damage) attack of the clap: her hands slamming against one another with you stuck in-between, she will swap targets—whether she's successful or not. You can outrun this attack, but you need your stamina saved up so you're not caught in her grasp.
Loom stalks you from the very start, capable of infiltrating the truck to punish her AFK target. Hiding underneath furniture or behind cover is guaranteed to give you a fright as the Loom's face and eyes stay fixed on your whereabouts. Her height towering above you makes the Robe appear adorable in comparison. She will hunch down to get through doorways and stretch out her long arms to reach the smallest nooks and crannies. The most ridiculous thing about this R.E.P.O. entity is that she knows where you are at all times. This means the standard counter (run and hide) isn't possible.
How to counter Loom
Loom may be terrifying, but she's thankfully not that fast. Keeping a steady walking pace, this monster will continue to hunt you down until she uses the one powerful move in her arsenal. Of course, if you're running solo, the Loom will continue to pursue you until eventually running out of steam. It's highly unlikely you'll ever see this phase if you're playing with friends, but the Loom can fall into a docile and harmless state where she flees to the furthest point on the map. But this only happens if she cannot kill you after five attempts.
This phase is evident by the Loom's sudden physical change, where she's running away with her back hunched over and her hands small in front of her. Provoking her here only resets her attack animation, and she'll get aggressive once more.
As this phase isn't guaranteed, we've come up with multiple ways to deal with this monstrosity. Of course, the obvious thing to do is use either the Handgun (seven bullets) or Shotgun to quickly remove her from the lobby. Because of her sheer size, the C.A.R.T. Cannon or Laser is a worthy opponent against the Loom. She can be stunned by either the Tranq Gun or Baseball Bat and thrown into death pits before the Overcharge mechanic comes into play. It is possible to treat this monster like the Apex Predator, Elsa, or Tick, where you gather valuables while staying away from this entity. But the Loom moves silently, meaning you'd have to constantly keep a lookout to ensure you're never hit by her attack.
Make sure you've upgraded your health at least twice so that you can survive a Loom attack. Do not Tumble Launch or crouch near her.
Outside of this, the Loom has a glaring negative that you can use to your advantage. Her clap has a max range where she cannot lift her arms high enough to reach her target. I noticed this on Headman Manor, where you can use bookcases or stacked furniture to stand above her. You need to be at a greater height than the top of her head for this to work. You'll then notice Loom cannot reach you here. Using Tumble Climb, Double Jump, or the environment to get away from Loom is more likely to save you and force her to switch targets. Whether it be by exploding from Cauldrons to reach Swiftbroom balconies, ascending shipment containers on McJannek, or jumping into vents in the Museum, you should always look for something to climb when Loom is in view.

Now that the developers mostly removed the P2W features, I can more comfortably give you the best Tanks in Tank Game. You can't go wrong by building the frontal focused shooting tanks since the omni-directional shooting tanks end up with weaker PVP DPS. Let's rank and explained them all in this Roblox Tank Game tier list.

Tank Game Tank Tier List
For this Tank Game tier list I'm assuming you're maxing out Damage & Fire Rate (Pen & Laser Range for Rail) caps for ranged tanks and Health, Body Damage & Speed for melee tanks. In general, the best tanks in Tank Game are frontal barrel tanks so that you can control your DPS the most. Tanks that shot sideways and backwards, even though they can be good for farming, are difficult to pull PVP value from since you cannot reliably aim shots. Let's dive into individual highlights and explanations.

B-Tier & C-Tier Tanks Explained
In B and C Tier are usually the omnidirectional shooting tanks which basically mean you lose out on DPS in direct 1v1 or 1v2 combats. All that DPS from side or back barrels is usually wasted where it would be much more useful in the front where you can control who you're shooting better. Sure, some are useful since you can stand in the middle of the map and farm but overall for direct PVP they are inferior. B-Tier has the best omnidirectional tanks while C-Tier has the weakest ones as well as some underpowered tanks in general (Like Phoenix that desperately needs a buff and cannot compare to other Level 130+ tanks).
That's it for my Tank Game tier list and guide. Check out our Tank Game codes list for free rewards, especially during admin abuse.
