Siliconera Sunday, December 7, 2025 3:00 PM 30MS Idolmaster Kogane Tsukioka Model Kit Is Elaborate       Bandai Namco branched out with its 30 Minute Sisters, aka 30MS, and 30MS Preference model kits, so now original characters and ones from series like The Idolmaster, Fate/Grand Order, and Bocchi the Rock. The one of Kogane Tsukioka from The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors is among them. While it is a fairly easy and affordable (~$40) build with tons of personality that doesn't require things like glue or paint, there are some very delicate parts on the torso and skirt that might flummox beginner builders. Editor's Note: If you get the 30MS The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors Kogane Tsukioka model kit, make sure you own a pair of sprue cutters and tweezers to get pieces off the runners and the handful of small stickers applied. One of the first and best things I noticed when I started building this hit is how fantastic the head in the Kogane Tsukioka The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors 30MS model kit is. There's a high degree of detail to the hair, which almost seemed to rival some of the styles in the more expensive Kotobukiya Megami Device and Sousai Shojo Teien. Yes, her hair is "just" long, but there are a lot of layers to give it volume and the appearance of natural waves, as well as an incredibly teeny hairclip that matches her idol outfit. Even better are her face plates. While there are two "standard" ones you'd expect from this kind of character that show her smiling and singing or powerfully belting out a song, there's also one where she's completely in shock and surprised. It's so unexpected and hilarious, and I absolutely love it. It makes me glad these 30MS face plates are universal, so I could use them with other builds. Photos by Siliconera While her hair and face are detailed, those are about as easy to piece together as her arms and legs. It's the torso and skirt that's challenging due to how elaborate her outfit is. First, the upper part of the torso is challenging due to the gold accents and the translucent, black glitter plastic designed to act as frills along the left shoulder. It isn't too difficult to arrange the initial parts. However, the gold chain attaches to a broach with a heart in the center, and you need to arrange stickers onto that. My recommendation is to keep the gold, back part of the ribbon and white upper part attached to the runners, placing the stickers on them with teasers first, before popping them out to assemble them and stick them onto her chest. The good news is, once you do have the ribbon assembled, it is pretty easy to get it attached to the chain and pressed into place.  Photos by Siliconera The skirt and lower half of the torso are the next extremely detailed part of the Kogane Tsukioka The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors 30MS model kit. There are gold accents that need to be pressed into the lower part of the torso above the skirt of her dress, and there's another extended black, translucent, glitter train that gets attached to the back. While that piece does feel a little more brittle than the other plastic parts, it's still sturdier than I expected! But the real challenge and issue here comes with a bit of plain "fabric" that is  supposed to go between two parts of the skirt to enhance the layered effect. It needs to be curled in such a way that it hits four pegs on the underside of the one layer, then connect to the part below it. It is so difficult to get this to line up, due to the awkward design and ruffled edges on the bottom-most skirt part. Then, when pressing it together, it's a little fiddly! There are so many thin, delicate parts that I was worried something might snap here. Photos by Siliconera Once you do get those parts managed, the rest comes together fairly easily. Both the arms and legs have a lot of extra parts to ensure there's a layered effect on the gloves and boots. The texture is pretty great on them, so it really feels and looks like fur when you look at it from a distance. She also bends pretty easily and, unlike some other model kits of characters like this, the appendages fit in securely enough that I didn't feel worried when repositioning them or swapping out hand parts.  Photos by Siliconera If you can overcome the challenges that stem from getting the outfit together in the Kogane Tsukioka The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors 30MS model kit, it ends up being an absolutely gorgeous figure. The level of detail here is amazing. Especially when you consider the one I built and showed in these pictures featured no paint or additional decorations beyond the included stickers on the broach. I'd say the final build even looks better than some of my Kotobukiya kits that cost me about $20-30 more. Destructoid Sunday, December 7, 2025 3:13 PM Though GGG wants the game to be 'top notch,' PoE 2's 'full' release might still launch unfinished       Path of Exile 2 is taking another step toward 1.0 with the upcoming 0.4.0 update that adds a new league, Fate of the Vaal, and the new Druid class. However, despite GGG's best efforts, the game's "full" release might still cut some corners and launch without all of its 12 classes. GGG director Jonathan Rogers recently briefed the media on this upcoming update as well as prospects of Path of Exile 2's 1.0 launch that'd see the game finally become free-to-play and exit its early access scheme that currently costs $30 to enter. He said that GGG is on course to launch the game in 2026, despite initially assuming it'd take some six months or so to develop from 0.1 to 1.0, and that thus far nothing has happened to indicate further pushback into 2027. However, as per PCGamesN, 1.0 doesn't seem to mean what we think it means. The Druid is one of several classes planned to release during the early access period. Image via GGG When asked about the classes, of which 12 are planned for the game, Rogers said he's becoming more and more concerned that not all of them will be done in time for 1.0. "I would ideally want to have all of the classes out, but I sort of suspect at this point that it's likely we won't have all of them," he said. He further added that polishing the gameplay and introducing other highly-anticipated weapons and mechanics, like the swords, is more of a priority than putting every class out. He did clarify that all classes that do end up in 1.0 will have each of their ascendancies, so that's something at least. Path of Exile 2 is already taking quite a long time to reach its final stages and version 1.0, which could be impacted by GGG's desire to maintain and develop both PoE games at the same time. They recently launched a proper new league for the original Path of Exile, which saw the game skyrocket past its sequel by a wide margin. Whatever the case, Last of the Druids, i.e., patch 0.4.0, launches on Dec. 11, with a free weekend for those who want to see if the game's current state is broad enough for them to jump in. You can learn plenty of other skills outside of your starting list—but that's only if you can find and equip the Mastery for them. Most Masteries are tough to acquire. Many are guarded by Elite Enemies, while others must be purchased for exuberant sums, fought for from NPCs, or found hidden around the map. Occasionally, you might see one pop up in Ludo's store in Wishvale if you're lucky (and if you've unlocked several Trade Lists). When you've unlocked all of a companion's skills, you can also spend JP to unlock the Mastery for that skill to then equip it on another character. This will then open a screen that shows your companions' equipped Masteries, separated by Action Skills, or Battle Masteries, and Support Skills. You'll need to spend JP, which can be earned through successful combat encounters or at the Training Ground in Wishvale, to unlock either another Battle Mastery slot or a Support Mastery slot. Characters can have up to three Battle Masteries and two Support Masteries. I recommend choosing Masteries that fill damage types your active team is missing. I lacked Light damage in my lineup, for example, so I chose to put Luminescence on Alexia, my strongest Special Attacker. This covered all my elemental bases with both her and Pius on my team, and I was able to have a companion who could deal damage to every weak point I might come across in my travels around Orsterra. We've recently received the North Line update that brought us a new level, Stella Montis, and are about to get the Expeditions as well. But one thing on the roadmap remains in the air: the winter-themed Cold Snap update. So, here's everything you need to know. ARC Raiders winter update - potential release date, details, and more Cold Snap is going to be stacked. Image via Embark Studios While there has not been an official release date for Cold Snap yet, the ARC Raiders 2025 roadmap does shed light on a potential launch window. As shown in the roadmap, Cold Snap is scheduled to release sometime in December, coming alongside various other new gameplay mechanics. The most notable one is the Expedition, which lets players prestige and reset their progress in exchange for various rewards. Since Expeditions have been delayed to Dec. 17, it's safe to say that Cold Snap will come out by Dec. 22, which is when the Departure Window for Expeditions closes. Embark Studios is yet to clarify what Cold Snap is going to contain, but the roadmap does say the Snowfall weather condition is going to be part of it. Being winter-themed, we can expect more such elements that'll hopefully significantly alter how maps are played when covered in several inches of snow and ice. Of course, new quests are coming, too, alongside the Flickering Flames event that's probably going to be a community-wide effort, much like the North Line one was. Details are still scarce, so we will update this article once more information becomes available.
