Industry belt in StarRupture

StarRupture's release date is close with the first week of January coming to an end, and it could be a surprise hit.

Developed by Creepy Jar, StarRupture had an already successful playtest recently for PC players. However, the full version will include much more content for the fans to explore. This guide will help you keep track of when the game exactly goes live so that you can jump in immediately.

StarRupture release countdown

StarRupture goes live globally on Jan. 6, and the release date was announced previously by developers Creepy Jar. As the game will be launching in early access, the upcoming title will only be available on PC, and you can join in via Steam.

The following countdown will expire once the game goes live.

[hurrytimer id="1162091"]

The countdown is based on the following timings.

  • 6am PT
  • 8am CT
  • 9am ET
  • 2pm UTC
  • 3pm CEST

The countdown is based on timings that are available on SteamDB. An updated launch schedule for different time zones is yet to be announced as of writing. We will duly update our guide if there's a confirmation from the end of the developers.

What to expect from StarRupture

StarRupture is an adventure set on a mysterious planet where you have to develop complex industrial systems to extract various resources and create your own base. The resources you get will help you expand your base and make it bigger.

Of course, the planet has its own share of dangers with aliens aiming to eliminate you at the earliest possible chance. The hazards around you aren't only restricted to monstrosities, as the environment will equally challenge you. However, you can make the survival much more entertaining by choosing to play with your buddies in co-op.

The main town in My Winter Car

Being naughty might be nice in real life, but it can end up with you having to visit the jail in My Winter Car.

While the prison is completely avoidable, you can land in trouble if you're not careful. Different offences can potentially hand you jail time. Let's look at how you can avoid going to prison in the first place, and what to do if you eventually get one.

When are you sent to jail in My Winter Car

There are multiple reasons why you might accrue prison sentences in My Winter Car.

  • Failure to stop your car when asked by the police, or ramming into another vehicle, can lead to you being sentenced to jail.
  • Punching other NPCs unconscious.
  • Running over NPCs with your car.
  • Fines that you haven't paid.

If you can avoid doing the tasks mentioned above, you won't be sent to jail. However, the only legitimate way of getting out of jail is to serve your prison sentence. One day in jail equals two in-game hours, and here are the prison sentences.

  • Unpaid fine: Depends on the number of defaulted days
  • Evasion: Three days per attempt
  • Manslaughter: Ten days per death
  • Attempted manslaughter: Two days
  • Traffic fatality: Five days per death

If you don't want to fulfil your prison sentences legitimately, the only alternative is to use the MSCEditor. The editor, originally meant for My Summer Car, also appears to be working (limited extent) in My Winter Car.

Once you have launched MSCEditor and loaded the default save, change the following values.

  • All Wanted Values to 0
  • Numberofbools to 1

Relaunch the game after saving the changes, and you'll be in jail. Spend the day sleeping, and you'll be free to go in the morning. This trick doesn't magically make your prison sentences disappear, but reduces them to just one day (irrespective of what your offense is).
