Well, give Gandalf a gun, play that sequence in reverse, and swap the Balrog for a flock of Space Invaders, and you are playing something like the demo for Dwarf Legacy – a "bullet-hell precision platformer" from Wulo Games about a dwarf clambering up the inside of a mountain.

Oh wait, Gandalf needs to be listening to crunchy dancefloor music to complete the analogy. Also, he needs to stop periodically to buy better guns from a blacksmith. I'm pretty sure this is still within Peter Jackson's budget.

Arc Raiders has a new Headwinds game update that, amongst many other things, removes an extravagantly drawn-out puzzle from the game's Buried City map. Introduced in December, the puzzle in question saw people tracking down and pushing 15 buttons in a certain order to unlock a secret chamber containing an actual, strummable guitar. As of this updating, you'll now be able to buy that guitar at Shani's, like a millionaire tourist paying to be flown to the top of Mount Everest.

I regard this as a dilution of the game, on paper, but I am not one of the players who've driven themselves crackers trying to get hold of the instrument. Arc Raiders is a multiplayer game, of course, so even if you survive being shot at while stampeding between buttons, it's possible another, distant player might innocently press one and reset your progress.

Kinokuniya US JOJOCARAVAN Comes Before Steel Ball Run Anime jojo's bizarre adventure

Kinokuniya announced its US stores will hold a JOJOCARAVAN event ahead of and alongside the debut of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run anime adaptation. That will start on February 6, 2026. Meanwhile, the new show's 1st Stage portion and adaptation of the next manga arc will begin airing on Netflix on March 19, 2026.

So far, the dates for only three of the Kinokuniya US stores participating in the JOJOCARAVAN event are known. Things start in the Seattle, Washington store between February 6-15, 2026. The San Francisco, California location will host the event between February 27, 2026 and March 8, 2026. The Carrollton, Texas one will run between March 20-29, 2026. The Atlanta, New York, and Los Angeles branches will also participate, but the one outside Chicago was not mentioned.

As for the Steel Ball Run anime, all of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure animated arcs are available on Netflix ahead of that debut. This means people can see Phantom Blood/Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusaders, Diamond is Unbreakable, Golden Wind, and Stone Ocean. While Crunchyroll also offers some of the seasons, it only goes up through Golden Wind.

The JOJOCARAVAN event tour starts at US Kinokuniya stores with the Seattle Washington location on February 6, 2026, the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run anime starts to air on Netflix on March 19, 2026, and Viz Media handles the manga outside Japan.

BlazBlue Entropy Effect X Will Feature Dead Cells and ICEY at Launch

Astrolabe Games and 91Act announced that both the Dead Cells and ICEY crossovers will be present in BlazBlue Entropy Effect X when the game launches on the Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X. Both characters already appeared in the PC game BlazBlue Entropy Effect, so we know how they play. This comes as pre-orders for the game open.

ICEY from ICEY and The Beheaded from Dead Cells both feature mechanics from their games. So she's fully voiced and has her own moveset, while the other character has weapon loadouts from that game.

To get an idea of what to expect, here's the old ICEY BlazBlue Entropy Effect trailer:

Astrolabe Games also confirmed pre-orders for the Switch and PS5 versions are live. Both the digital standard and deluxe editions are on the eShop and PlayStation Store. The physical copies will include the deluxe content. That adds The Other Side character palettes, the X File character palettes, four Chibi avatars, and the soundtrack.

BlazBlue Entropy Effect X will come to the Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X on February 12, 2026. The original game is on the PC.

New Akai

While Hololive Vtuber Akai Haato is still on hiatus, Cover and the performer shared a new cover song on her official Haachama YouTube account. It is her take on the Miyuki Nakajima song "Ito."

While there is occasional art of the Hololive Vtuber in the "Ito" cover song music video, it mainly references the fact that one of the things Haato is known for is her travel vlogs and YouTube shorts

Here is the full Akai Haato cover of the song "Ito" from her Haachama YouTube account.

Akai Haato has been on hiatus since October 2025, as Cover announced the Hololive Vtuber would taking a health-related break for an unspecified amount of time for recovery purposes. While there is no return date yet, her manager shared some YouTube shorts of her performing to "Fujiyama Charisma" and "Oshare Banchou." She's been part of the company since June 2018, and she joined alongside folks like Aki Rosenthal, Natsuiro Matsuri, Shirakami Fubuki, and Yozora Mel. It's unknown when she will return to regular streaming activities, or if we could end up seeing more YouTube Shorts and song covers online ahead of a more definitive update.

Fatal Frame 2 Remake and Silent Hill f Getting Crossover DLC

Team Ninja, Koei Tecmo, and Konami announced that there will be Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake and Silent Hill f crossover DLC. These will be cosmetics for both games. Koei Tecmo also confirmed that its remake will get a demo on March 5, 2026.

The Silent Hill f and Fatal Frame 2 remake crossover DLC announcement makes it sound like we'll see add-ons come to the Koei Tecmo game first. Team Ninja confirmed there will be "free collaboration costumes." The official Konami account only noted that there will be cosmetics, but that there aren't specific details yet.

As for the Fatal Frame 2 remake, that demo will apparently be a slice of the game. We'll be able to save our progress. Then, if we choose to get the full game after, that will carry over.

Here's the latest trailer going over the demo and gameplay details. It also confirmed and showed the Early Purchase Bonus set of items that include red and black kimono costumes for the twins, red and blue peony hair ornaments for each of them, and a Wraith Charm.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzB5xjCHgsQ

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake will come to the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on March 12, 2026, and the demo will be out on March 5, 2026. Silent Hill f is on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Tamon's B-Side's Appeal Goes Beyond Shojo and Jpop Fans

We've talked about Tamon's B-Side here at Siliconera before, back when the manga got localized. I raved about how well its characters are defined and the great moments we see from the very start. Now that the Tamon's B-Side anime started streaming on Crunchyroll, I'm delighted to say J.C.Staff did not miss. It's a fantastic show, and I think it might even be better animated than it is in print.

For those new to the series, Utage Kinoshita is in high school and loves the idol group F/ACE. Her oshi is the singer Tamon Fukuhara. To get money to attend concerts and buy merchandise, she works part-time as a house cleaner after school. When filling in for someone else at the agency, she finds herself assigned to be the housekeeper for Tamon. Except… he's nothing like his effervescent, charismatic, bad boy self on stage and at appearances. He ended up "assigned" that role in the group and actually has incredibly low self esteem, spends a lot of time hiding away in his house, and seems incredibly depressed. Utage ends up becoming his permanent maid, and because of her love for the group and his work, she basically becomes something of an assistant and personal cheerleader who helps him with his idol tasks and life and gets him to essentially realize how great he is.

Now, a big part of why the Tamon's B-Side anime works is the commitment to the bit. Both sides of Tamon go to extremes. When he's "on" for work, he's positively glowing. He does relish singing and performing, and he's great at it. It's just he has trouble accepting who he is and slinks back into himself when alone. So part of the humor comes from seeing that. Meanwhile, Utage seems reasonable and normal until it comes to F/ACE and Tamon stuff, at which point she goes over the top, gets extra expressive, and blossoms. Due to their two personalities playing off of each other, we basically get to see them develop as individuals and grow in positive ways. And the anime adaptation never shies away from showing (not telling) at every turn.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFmSz2ZVxCA

This also applies to the music. Like Kpop Demon Hunters, the group in the animation is who's "music" we're hearing. F/ACE, the boy band Tamon is part of, "supplies" the opening and ending theme songs "Sweet Magic" and "Hana to Yume." They're pretty catchy too, as you'd expect! It really helps with in-universe building.

As does the anime adaptation being true to the Tamon's B-Side manga when it comes to character development. The original story is absolutely hilarious, with different members of the cast occasionally behaving in extreme and overly dramatic fashions. But a part of why that works is because there's actual heart behind all of them, and real emotions that come through and get you caring about them. This is absolutely true about the leads Utage and Tamon from the outset. But when we do get to the point where we see other members of F/ACE and the facades they sometimes put on when at work, there are similar situations. It's bringing us joy and making us laugh while also allowing for those connections.

Not to mention, J.C.Staff went above and beyond for the designs for this adaptation. It's flashy, but in a gorgeous and well-executed way! The characters designs are incredible. There's real effort put into the idol moments. It can go over the top and rely on some fun visual effects to help sell the humor. There's so much care put into the adaptation, and it makes me feel like the people behind it perhaps enjoyed the idea and working on it so much that it came through.

Tamon's B-Side is just a fantastic adaptation of the manga and, as a result, is one of the most exciting anime running at the moment. Even if you aren't into shojo stories that definitely seem to be building up to a romance, it's fantastic. The character development is great. The execution is lovely. The animation quality looks stunning. It should be on your watchlist.

The Tamon's B-Side anime is streaming on Crunchyroll now, and the manga is available via Viz Media.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Lara Croft

The festivities for Tomb Raider's 30th anniversary have officially kicked off, and Lara Croft is ready to shill for all sorts of merch with her gorgeous mug emblazoned all over it.

Today, Crystal Dynamics revealed the official key art for the series' 30th year, which will include the new game Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a retelling of the original PlayStation classic way back in 1996. But before they get to that, it's time to sell some stuff.

Tomb Raider 30th anniversary
Image via Crystal Dynamics

"To kick off the festivities, we're collaborating with an incredible array of partners who will all be releasing special 30th Anniversary products this year," the company announced, rattling off a varied list of product-makers that will be joining forces with Lara this year.

Some time in 2026, we should see some Tomb Raider-branded 8BitDo controllers, GUNNAR Optiks gaming glasses, Loungefly fashion items, Tubbz rubber duck figures, Funko Pop! figures, Topps trading cards, Dark Horse comics, and even Syntilay "futuristic footwear" of some kind. That's quite a lot!

Beyond 2026 and all of these items designed to drain the funds of Lara fans, Tomb Raider: Catalyst is set to be the next true sequel in the franchise launching in 2027. There's also the live-action Prime Video series that should be filming soon, if not already, starring Sophie Turner of Game of Thrones fame.

But first is Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, which the devs described to me last month as a "reimagining" of the first game, a remake/remaster of sorts that will also take liberties in refining the gameplay and potentially changing up some elements, as well. It should be out in 2026, along with all the other merch to go with it.

What all this really means, though, is that Amazon Game Studios, which purchased the rights to to publish and build out the franchise, is doing a full-court press with Crystal Dynamics still in ownership of the IP. It feels like it began in earnest today with all of these announced deals.

You can check out the full list of partnerships on the Tomb Raider website, and sit tight for more news about the upcoming games soon.

The Gizmo Weft breech-loaded grenade launcher in Destiny 2, with a Call to Arms floral pattern on it.

Guardians who try Destiny 2's events in Renegades may find a little extra gift in their stockings: Gizmo Weft, a grenade launcher with a spicy god roll thanks to a unique interaction. It first appeared during the Dawning, but it makes appearances on special occasions.

Inspecting Collections or the event vendor's rewards showcases the new Gizmo Weft weapon, a micro-missile grenade launcher that comes in Strand flavor. It's not The Mountaintop, naturally, but it shares an archetype with the famous meta-defining gun of old, in the same way Theodolite did with The Edge of Fate.

Since it's connected to the green subclass, it does have access to a couple of Strand keywords, but the real gold isn't in its element. Here are our Gizmo Weft PvE god rolls in Destiny 2, based on perk data from d2foundry.gg.

Gizmo Weft PvE god rolls in Destiny 2

  • Barrel: Hard Launch
  • Mag: Spike Grenades
  • First perk: Slideshot or Blast Distributor

    • Honorable mentions: Air Trigger, Envious Arsenal

  • Second perk: Bipod, Elemental Honing, or Chain Reaction

Gizmo Weft is a handy grenade launcher to have, in no small part because it counts as New Gear. Another huge part of its allure, however, is Slideshot—which, if you remember the original Ignition Code from Season of the Splicer or Liturgy from Episode Revenant, is a useful tool for single-round grenade launchers. It's essentially an on-demand instant reload for general use.

Two perks rise to the ranks in specialized cases, though: Envious Arsenal is a must if you plan on using it to help in boss damage rotations, while Air Trigger works if you're looking for improved ammo generation. These aren't exactly universal cases, so they're not at the top of our list. Blast Distributor can help if you need points to top up your grenade stat.

You can also get King Orfeo during Arms Week and Call to Arms. Image via Bungie

For the fourth column, Bipod helps Gizmo Weft's god roll shine due to some particularly fun math, as shown by community figure MossyMax. Micro-Missile Frames deal more damage based on the lower blast radius, so Bipod's actual damage loss borders on nine percent instead of the usual 25. It's worth it for the extra ammo and magazine capacity.

On the more orthodox side, Elemental Honing is a long-lasting, low-maintenance damage boost if your build has multiple elements, and Bait and Switch is a natural pairing with Envious Arsenal if you're that inclined. Aggregate Charge works if your build has access to multiple debuffs, though Elemental Honing might be less of a hassle to stack. Chain Reaction works for crowd control, though Bipod still takes the cake for us.

How to get Gizmo Weft in Destiny 2

Just like how Submersion made an early appearance before being farmable in Call to Arms during The Edge of Fate, Gizmo Weft drops from any event in the Portal. It surfaced during The Dawning and returned in Arms Week, but more opportunities to acquire it are likely on the horizon. It may drop whenever you acquire an event reward, so in Arms Week, that means completing select activities or using Combat Telemetry to buy Engrams from Ada-1.

Highguard Una

Highguard is here. I would say it's here to stay, but it's cataclysmic decline following its initial release is sort of heralding its doom. I remain optimistic that the game found its core audience and will ride out the storm, but also believe all of this could have been avoided. And very easily at that.

It's common knowledge by now that Highguard was shot in the foot with that The Game Awards trailer. Saved for the final slot, the one everyone watching would have been waiting for, Highguard was presented in the worst possible way: yet another generic hero shooter that you should force yourself to be excited for. Though Keighley introduced the game with remarks about its devs' past experience making Titanfall, that wasn't enough to keep a very bad taste from staying in everyone's mouth.

But let's say that was a mistake (as the developers appear to believe, not only because it wasn't a very good trailer but also due to their not actually wanting to be on the final slot). What did the developers do afterward? Total radio silence. Not a peep. In fact, many had genuinely forgotten that the game was even coming out at the end of January. From TGA to release, Highguard vanished, as if it had fallen off a cliff.

Highguard Mara
Highguard has many qualities, just not enough to stand on its own hind legs without some marketing to prop it up. Image via Wildlight Entertainment

The developers spent no time trying to market the game, saw no point in engaging the bad rep and trying to turn it around. They literally went offline and one day said, hey, our game is here. The philosophy behind that seems to be that the game was supposed to "speak for itself," but I fail to understand how anyone in 2026, of all years, could ever think that a product can attest its own qualities without being marketed properly.

Nothing in our day and age can survive in the market without proper marketing. Hell, many of the technologies and software we all use and purchase today are genuinely bad products, but the marketing keeps us around and hooked.

Highguard, however good, was never going to beat the sentiments it had garnered at TGA. The worst mistake of all was letting all of that foster, allowing it to grow and mature into something of epic proportions, which was always going to overshadow the game, no matter what. The developers had a myriad of different ways to avoid this disaster: engage in picking a proper TGA slot, show better trailers post-TGA to dispel illusions and poor sentiments, engage the community on all of its points, and so on and so forth.

Instead, nothing. Not even a "thank you for caring enough for our game to hate on it."

Highguard Wardens team
Its characters, while better than Concord, fail to reach the quality of Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, or Deadlock. Image via Wildlight Entertainment

By doing so, Highguard created an environment where the game itself became a meme, a joke that was trendy for people to bash and clown on. Most of the reviews on Steam (now Mostly Negative) come from people with less than an hour in the game. And what's more, Highguard gave them extra reasons for those negative reviews.

A horribly long login queue on launch day smashed any reputation it could have had right then and there. Its performance isn't great, and its characters aren't interesting enough to keep people around. The choice of 3v3 as the default left a lot of space and downtime in the game, and many of its stages of gameplay seem to not have any real impact on the match itself. It's an unpolished experience, one that, even though it has many great qualities, was doomed from the start.

This is further exacerbated by its competing with established, massive IPs like Overwatch and Marvel Rivals (and, to some extent, Deadlock), all of which have something to offer, tremendous character designs, and simple and fun gameplay loops.

Highguard was in for a bloodbath, and I cannot believe that the devs didn't know that. With so much experience at AAA powerhouses like EA, I genuinely think they fully understood the implications of that TGA shenanigan, and cannot fathom why they never reacted.

This game is a tragic victim of market whims and how the gaming world operates today, despite its objective flaws, which could have been amended post-launch anyhow. The worst part is that its developers certainly knew that was a possibility, and did not put in the effort to mitigate it, even when the writing was on the wall in bold letters.

Shutting yourself out and riding it out worked for No Man's Sky, but lightning rarely strikes twice and being proactive always pays off more.

The Endministrator, Perlica, Chen Qianyu, and Lifeng, as seen in Arknights Endfield.

If you're looking to craft those Lv.70 end-game gear pieces in Arknights Endfield, knowing how to farm Xiranite Components is both the first and most important step.

Apart from only being available after unlocking the ability to produce Xiranite during The Way of Water main questline, getting the material will require taking a lot of extra steps. Here's how to get and farm Xiranite Components in Arknights Endfield, as well as the locations of all gold gear templates across Wuling.

How to get and farm Xiranite Components in Arknights Endfield

You can get and farm Xiranite Components in Arknights Endfield by placing 10 Packed Origocrust and 10 Xiranite in a Gearing Unit. Xiranite can be acquired by adding two Stabilized Carbon and 50 Clean Water in a Forge of The Sky, while getting Packed Origocrust demands refining Dense Origocrust Powder.

The recipe for Xiranite Components in Arknights Endfield.
Screenshot by Destructoid

To help you farm infinite amounts early on, follow the instructions below to set up a system capable of producing both the ingredients needed and the Xiranite Components in one fell swoop:

First Step: Getting An Endless Supply Of Sandleaves and Carbon

  • Place a few Electric Mining Rigs across Wuling to get access to Originium Ore. You can skip this if you have reached Oupost Level 8 in Valley IV and unlocked its Regional Transfer feature.
  • Build at least six/eight Thermal Banks to get the power needed to complete the manufacturing process we are about to set up.
  • Use the General Plant Farming Blueprint to get an endless amount of Sandleaves. Make sure to connect two transporting belts out of your second Planting Unit; one leading to your Automation-Core (or Depot) and one to a Refining Unit to farm Carbon.
  • Connect the Refining unit to your Depot.

Second Step: Farming Xiranite, Dense Origocrust Powder, and Packed Origocrust

  • With leaves and Carbon on your disposal, use the Xiranite Blueprint and a Fluid Pump to set up Xiranite production.
  • Build a Shredding Unit and provide it with Originium Ore to create Originium Powder.
  • Connect the unit and a source of Sandleaf Powder to a Grinding Unit to create Dense Originium Powder.
  • Now, connect the Grinding Unit to back-to-back Refining Units to turn the Dense Powder into Dense Origocrust Powder, and finally, Packed Origocrust.

Third Step: The Xiranite Component Production Starts

  • The final step in our production line. Connect the second Refining Unit and your active Forge of the Sky to a Gearing Unit to get an infinite source of Xiranite Components.

If you want to go beyond, we recommend connecting your Gearing Unit to multiple Forges to speed up the process. Remember, you will need to spend a total of 10 Xiranite per unit crafted, which can take one machine a while to produce.

All Arknights Endfield Gold Gear Template Crate locations

Taking into account that, even after getting the materials, you will still need to find the templates of your chosen gold gear sets to unlock them, here's the location of all of the Gear Template Crates in Arknights Endfield, from Eternal Xiranite to Laevatain's dream set, Hot Work. Upon checking each of the marked locations on your in-game map, you will find the template icon. Don't forget to track it to make the process even easier.

  • The locations of two Template Crates in Endfield.
  • The locations of two Template Crates in Endfield.
  • The locations of four Template Crates in Endfield.
  • The locations of the final four Template Crates in Endfield.

Now that you know how to get and, most importantly, farm Xiranite Components, we also recommend taking a look at the Best Arknights Endfield Blueprint codes. Believe me, they can be game-changing.

The Holofoil version of The Heron glaive in Destiny 2 from Arms Week.

The Heron is Destiny 2's first tiered glaive, making it easy to get a god roll of it. It may not let you down if you get multi-perk copies of this weapon, and the reused Lubrae's Ruin model gives it a few extra points on the coolness scale.

Though glaives aren't exactly the most popular pick in Destiny 2, the Heron might serve you well, especially in higher-difficulty activities where you may need its damage shield. Since it's a limited-time weapon, however, it's best to chase after it while it's available, even if you just want it as a trophy.

As usual, though, most damage perks only affect the projectile portion of the glaive, so keep this in mind when you're spending your Combat Telemetry with Ada-1. Here are our god rolls for The Heron in Destiny 2, based on data from d2foundry.gg.

The Heron PvE god rolls in Destiny 2

The regular version of The Heron in Destiny 2, seen from Collections.
The regular version is quite the looker as well. Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Haft: Low-Impedance Windings, Supercooled Accelerator, or Lightweight Emitter

    • Reload speed may not be as important if you have any of the three perks in our god roll, but it's up to personal preference.

  • Magazine: Alloy Magazine, Light Mag, or Appended Mag
  • First column: Replenishing Aegis, Overflow, or Envious Assassin

    • Honorable mention: Repulsor Brace

  • Second column: Close to Melee, Destabilizing Rounds, Unstoppable Force, or Sword Logic

Getting stuck on a long reload with a glaive can be a death sentence in tougher content. Fortunately, the Heron has three different ways to stop that from happening, and they're all in our god roll.

Replenishing Aegis refills your magazine when you block damage, Overflow puts ammo in your mag whenever you pick up an ammo brick, and Envious Assassin loads your glaive when getting kills with other weapons. They're all great options on a glaive, and the last two options also overfill your magazine so you have more room to work with. Having at least one of those is almost necessary.

Repulsor Brace is another option for this column. You're bound to use this more if you're focusing on the glaive's melee aspect, since it lets you soak up hits without needing to stop swinging. Make sure you have an avenue to spread Void debuffs, such as a subclass or through Destabilizing Rounds in column four, to keep your overshields topped up. Proximity Power can help with melee builds, too, though it's focused enough that it's not on the top of our list.

There's definitely a resemblance. Image via Bungie

The Heron has your usual good choices for glaives in the fourth column, but if you're keen on slashing your enemies, go for Close to Melee. It bumps up your melee damage after getting a projectile kill, and it's one of the few ways to actually make your slashes hit harder. Destabilizing Rounds can prime enemies for an explosion by making them Volatile, with bonus points if you have Repulsor Brace to get an overshield from it.

On the flip side, Unstoppable Force is a classic if you're looking for an all-rounder damage perk on its projectile. It's simple enough: block damage, deal more damage. Sword Logic bumps up your shots when getting kills, with sturdier enemies granting bigger benefits. Those are the bread-and-butter for glaives, and they're always a safe choice.

Lastly, Unrelenting gives you some health regeneration when killing multiple targets, while Binary Orbit and Redirection bump up your projectile damage. Your build may not always accommodate the former and glaives aren't as well-suited to stacking the latter, so our god roll stays away from them even if they may be decent options.

The Heron became available in the limited Arms Week event at the end of January, though it's bound to return for the Call to Arms event further down the road. You can get it by completing activities that drop Distorted Arms Week Engrams or by buying it from Ada-1 with Combat Telemetry.

If you reach rank 10 on the Arms Week mini-event, you're guaranteed a Holofoil copy of The Heron with random perks, though its tier varies based on your account progress.

The King Orfeo bow in Destiny 2, as seen in Collections

Destiny 2 had quite a portfolio of bows to pick from, but King Orfeo is the first Arc-aligned primary on that list since The Final Shape. Excluding raids and PvP, it's been even longer since one of these last surfaced—and it's only available for a limited time.

This event bow benefits from the slew of new perks that arrived since Non-Denouement in The Final Shape, granting you access to a few keywords you couldn't get with this weapon type before. Our god roll has some usual suspects, but with a few of the novelties that may make it worth keeping a roll of this bow in your vault. Here are our King Orfeo god rolls in Destiny 2, based on data from d2foundry.gg.

King Orfeo PvE god roll in Destiny 2

Aim for the tier five version. Screenshot by Destructoid

  • String: Elastic String, Flexible String, or Natural String
  • Fletching: Compact Arrow Shaft or Fiberglass Arrow Shaft
  • First perk: Archer's Tempo or Explosive Head
  • Second perk: Meganeura, Jolting Feedback, or Rolling Storm

Archer's Tempo is the versatile go-to perk for boosting your draw time, making you shoot faster as long as you're hitting crit spots. If you're looking for a damage-boosting perk, Explosive Head is also here on column three, opening up some unique possibilities. These two are our top picks in most scenarios, and a copy of King Orfeo with both of these is certainly on our list.

Outside of those combinations, Successful Warm-Up acts similarly to Archer's Tempo but triggers on kills instead of hits, which is better for lower-end content. Pugilist works for melee builds, though those would probably use a weapon better suited for close range. Shoot to Loot is good for specific strategies, though it's not something we'd choose over our top two.

King Orfeo's fourth column is what makes this bow stand out, since Archer's Tempo is more of the rule than the deviation for a god roll. This is the first bow to roll with Meganeura, Jolting Feedback, or Rolling Storm. One of them is a natural pick, while the other two may seem like odd choices.

Meganeura creates an elemental explosion on a precision kill, and dealing rapid precision hits before improves its damage. There's a clear synergy with Archer's Tempo here, and we already added one of those rolls to our vault. In practice, it's close to the Archer's Tempo/Voltshot roll in Non-Denouement, the Salvation's Edge bow, though without adding Jolt.

Jolting Feedback and Rolling Storm round out our main picks, bringing the Arc flavor to King Orfeo's god roll. Both rely on building stacks, but bows aren't exactly the fastest archetype to do so. Explosive Head might make Jolting Feedback activate sooner, however, which could make this combo more popular.

You get your first King Orfeo just by talking to Ada-1 in the Shooting Range during Arms Week. For other rolls, however, you must complete activities that drop Distorted Arms Week Engrams, spend your Combat Telemetry in her inventory, or visit the event shop. Maxing out the 15 ranks on the event track nets you a Holofoil version of this weapon, too, if you're willing to grind for a shiny roll.

NPC wearing Manatees jersey next to Jason

November 19. You are so far away, yet so close, compared to how long the wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 has actually been.

That's the current date for GTA 6's release, for now. The game could eventually be delayed again (everyone pray that it doesn't happen), but the hope is that we will be playing the next GTA game soon after over a decade of waiting.

Between now and then, we have all the time in the world to discuss the upcoming mega-hit waiting to happen, including some recent tidbits that have been a point of discussion online while we wait for a new trailer or gameplay reveal.

Latest GTA 6 rumors and news

Here's the latest pieces of info we've gotten, or that has been reported, about GTA 6. With the game now due to launch (currently) in less than 10 months, all eyes and ears in the industry are perked up and waiting for more.

No physical edition?

Lucia wielding a gun
Screenshot via Rockstar Games YouTube

One of the latest rumors comes from a report by Polish website PPE, and it suggests thatGTA 6 won't launch with any physical disc versions of the game, and that it will be a digital-only title, at least at first.

The report states that this is mainly due to Rockstar Games wanting to avoid leaks at any cost, and with physical editions of games sometimes appearing and arriving in gamers' hands before the launch date, sticking with a digital-only launch would mitigate this problem.

This is unconfirmed info for now, and while it may be a bummer for those hoping for a cool collector's edition of the game, I think this makes sense. GTA 6 has already gone through quite enough leaks up until now.

It's assumed that a physical release would come eventually, at least some time after the launch window has come and gone. Maybe in 2027.

Fans faked IDs and flew drones to spy on Rockstar

GTA 6 protagonists wielding guns
Screenshot via Rockstar Games YouTube

In the same vein as the rumor above, YouTuber KiwiTalkz posted on X/Twitter explaining why they think the game may forego a physical release at launch.

"Unfortunately, there are a number of crazy Rockstar fans that would 100 percent break into retail stores and manufacturing facilities to steal discs and people on the inside would leak it as well," they said. "I have heard stories from Rockstar devs over the years of nutty fans trying to get into their buildings to get any info they can from faking IDs to flying drones above windows to try to get images/video."

And yeah, after the whole saga of a teen breaking into Rockstar's servers leading to the massive pre-alpha leak years ago, I don't blame Rockstar at all for trying anything it can to prevent more of the game from coming out before launch. I mean, drones? Fake IDs? Seriously, people?!

Rockstar devs fired over previous leaks

GTA 6 car wash
Image via Rockstar Games

A round of firings at GTA 6 developer Rockstar this past November could be related to a separate round of leaks. Court filings may have indirectly confirmed a bunch of leaks posted on social media, as Rockstar confirmed that a Lincoln, UK employee was fired in April 2025. The company alleges that they shared confidential info about the game with someone who then posted their findings on social media.

Due to the firing and the social media posts, a number of leaked details can be inferred to be somewhat legitimate, including the game having a chapter-based format like Red Dead Redemption 2, the ability to swap between co-protagonists Jason and Lucia at any time, and several other story details.

GTA 6 - 100 bucks?

NPCs roaming the beach in Vice City
Screenshot via Rockstar Games YouTube

The discussion around GTA 6's price point is still ongoing, with some fearing that the game may cost $100 or more at launch. Industry insiders say it's possible, but I'm still skeptical. Last year, Nintendo made the jump to the $79.99 price for its games, so I think that's possible.

However, I wouldn't be surprised to see the game at a higher price than that. It's rumored that the development of GTA 6 has cost upwards of $2 billion, and that money needs to be recouped. I think that will still happen, multiple times over, but

Would you be willing to pay $100 for GTA 6? I know it'd be a tough sell for many, but it would also not deter most gamers from picking it up. This is likely the biggest entertainment launch of our lifetime, and it's going to be the game that everyone is playing and talking about once it drops. People will pay.

I just hope we get to pay for it (and play it) sooner rather than later, because the wait is killing me.

Sandleaf, as seen in Arknights Endfield.

Steel is one of the more advanced items in Arknights Endfield, and you can use it to create different items at your AIC base.

Unlike ores like Originium and Amethyst, Steel requires some time and effort to unlock. If you're still unsure about how to access it, this guide will remove all your confusion.

How to produce Steel in Arknights Endfield

The process behind obtaining Steel depends largely on Sandleaf Powder. We already have a detailed guide about this resource and how you can obtain it on Talos-II. You'll first need to create a Sandleaf Powder production line.

Sandleaf Powder production line in Arknights Endfield
Image via Gryphline

You'll require a Seed Picking Unit, a Planting Unit, and a Shredding Unit. First, connect the Seed Picking Unit to the Planting Unit. Next, connect the Planting Unit to the Shredding Unit. Connect the Planting Unit back to the Seed Picking Unit to create an infinite source for Sandleaf Powder. This clears our first part of Steel production.

Once we have Sandleaf Powder, we can start working towards our Steel production. We are going to need two Shredding Units and three Depot Unloaders. Two of the three Unloaders will process refined Ferrium, while the last one will have Sandleaf Powder.

Place two Shredding Units in front of the two Depot Unloaders that contain refined Ferrium. Next, place a Grinding Unit right in front of the two Shredding Units. Finally, place a Refining Unit in front of the Grounding Unit.

Steel production chain in Arknights Endfield
Image via Gryphline

Next, complete the following steps.

  • Connect the two Unloaders with refined Ferrium to the Shredder Units.
  • Connect the two Shredder Units to the Grounding Unit.
  • Connect the Unloader with Sandleaf Powder directly to the Grounding Unit.
  • Connect one belt from the Grounding Unit to the Refining Unit.
  • Connect another belt to Protocol Stash.

This setup will help you get Steel and Steel Parts. If you want to just get more Steel Parts, add a Fitting Unit and connect it to the Refining Unit with a belt.

How to use Steel in Arknights Endfield

You can use Steel to produce Steel Parts using a Fitting Unit. Connect it to the Refinining Unit, and you're good to go. You can also produce Steel Bottles with the Steel. Instead of a Fitting Unit, build and connect a Molding Unit to the Refining Unit.

That's pretty much all you can do with Steel in the current build of Arknights Endfield.

Standing in golden dandelion field in minecraft

Baby mobs are one of the most adorable Minecraft features, but sadly, they all eventually grow up and become regular adult mobs. There's one way to keep them small forever, though, which is the powerful Golden Dandelion.

This useful plant wasn't always around and isn't an item you'll find through natural exploration, so there's a good chance you don't know much about it. If you're interested in learning how it works and how it can help you out, here's how to get and use a Golden Dandelion in Minecraft.

What does a Golden Dandelion do in Minecraft?

Golden dandelions in field in minecraft
Screenshot by Destructoid

The Golden Dandelion can be given to a baby mob to keep them tiny forever, completely freezing aging. If you ever want to have them age again, you simply need to feed them another Golden Dandelion to resume aging as usual. You can stop and resume this process as often as you like, as long as you have the Golden Dandelions to do so.

Baby mobs are the only creatures that age, so the Golden Dandelion can only be used on them. This is the main and best way to use it, although it can also be converted into Yellow Dye or cooked into Suspicious Stew if you're looking for additional uses.

How to get Golden Dandelion in Minecraft

Golden Dandelions are easiest to obtain by crafting, as this is the only guaranteed way to get your hands on one. They can also sometimes be bought from wandering traders, though, for two Emeralds. This is completely random and up to chance, so it's always best to stick with crafting to ensure you're able to obtain one.

How to craft Golden Dandelion in Minecraft

To craft a Golden Dandelion, you need eight gold nuggets and one regular dandelion. The dandelion goes in the center square, with gold nuggets filling all other available slots surrounding it. You can unlock the recipe to make it by breeding a mob for the first time.

Crafting golden dandelion in minecraft
Screenshot by Destructoid

How to use Golden Dandelion in Minecraft

You can use a Golden Dandelion by looking at any baby mob and pressing the corresponding use button to consume it. This button varies by platform and can be freely edited by all players, so your controls may look different, but by default, it's right-click on PC or left trigger on controller. Check your specific settings in Minecraft to see the right ones to use if this doesn't work for you.

Regardless of whether you're trying to stop or restart aging, the process of using a Golden Dandelion looks the same. It's consumed when used, which means it'll vanish from your inventory, so you'll need to craft more each time you use one.

There's plenty more to uncover while exploring in Minecraft. If you're not sure what to do next, you may want to learn how to get the Lava Chicken music disc, how to get all copper tools, weapons, and armor, and how to make a Copper Golem.

100 waves later tier list and guide

Updated on January 28, 2025: Added Exclusive weapons, Outlander class and updated class tier list and FAQ.

The best weapons, classes and bonus class perks in 100 Waves Later require separate rankings. This is because weapons have clear power rankings while classes can all be good for different purposes. This 100 Waves Later tier list will break down all three categories so that you can make the best build.

100 Waves Later Weapons Tier List

100 waves later weapon tier list
Weapons marked with EX are Exclusive/Robux Weapons - Image by Destructoid

When it comes to the best weapons in 100 Waves Later here's a breakdown of the lsit:

  • Tier Breakdowns: The S-Tier weapons guarantee long runs, A-Tiers are powerful but cap out after a certain point, B-Tiers are great early and mid-game but not in later waves and C and D-Tiers are underpowered options.
  • Shotguns: All of them are really strong in the latest updates - You can beat hundreds of waves with them due to pierce and good positioning targeting as many enemies each shot - The Plasma and Incendiary are the best late game while the Auto is a close third (position bosses behind enemies for max pierce DPS).
  • Exclusive Weapons: The Incendiary Shotgun is the best with Quad Rifle being the second-best Robux weapon but you don't really need Robux weapons since they're only slightly better than their free-to-play equivalents in the same tier - Freeze Ray isn't that good and is only decent for melee builds but not mandatory.
  • Best Melee: Easily the Greatsword with the Plasma Sword being a great alternative - The Chainsaw is still decent but not as powerful as it used to be even with a massive number of hits.
  • Non Shotgun Options: Gatling Laser, Plasma Laser, Plasma Rifle and even Sniper are excellent options if you don't like Shotguns outputting massive amounts of damage - Just note that the Sniper has a similar playstyle to Shotguns where you're looking to get the most kills with each shot with pierce and good positioning.
  • Weakest Weapons: Pistols in this game are the weakest weapon options that I wouldn't recommend ever using mid-to-late waves also making Sharpshooter the weakest class.

100 Waves Later Class Tier List & Best Perks

100 waves later class tier list

Note that unlike weapons, pretty much any class in 100 Waves Later can be good depending on what build you're going for and whether you're playing solo or in a group. That said, you'll generally go further with the S and A tiers both in terms of main class and perks. Here are some notes on the best classes as well as the best class perks to take as your bonus perk:

  • Best Class: Enginner for massive turret DPS and Pathfinder for super skills are the best main classes to pick. Warrior and Boxer are the best for melee builds. Wastelander is a decent alternative, though like Scavanger he's a better bonus perk option rather than a main class. Juggernaut melee/defense and Pyro for boss damage are great tertiary options.
  • Best Bonus Perks: Wastelander Perk 3 is the best bonus perk in the game for more skills and Wastelander Perk 1 a close second for an extra weapon slot. From there Pathfinder's Perk 2 for super skills and Engineer's Turret for DPS are the second-best. For melee builds, go with Boxer Perk 2 for survivability or Juggernaut perks as an alternative. Tertiary options are the rest of Pathfinder and Wastelander as well as Scavenger's Perk 3 for farming.
  • Best Team Support Class (Medic/Outlander): These two are incredibly strong classes when playing in a team and I would put them B-Tier for solo and A-Tier in a team comp that wants to reach the highest wave possible. Outlander is the best team support class since Campfire's on max upgrade heal a lot.
  • Weakest Class: Sharpshooter is without a doubt the weakest class since Pistols are the weakest weapon category right now. Boxer is awkward to play due to HP regen changes but the second perk is god-tier for a bonus perk for melee builds with Juggernaut or Warrior.

100 Waves Later FAQ

What is the best weapon in 100 Waves Later?

The Plasma Shotgun and Auto Shotgun are the best weapons and the Shotgun category in general is really strong. Other than that, the Plasma Laser and Gatling Laser are really strong alternatives. Shoutout to the Sniper which is really effective if you play it right with pierce and positioning.

What is the best melee weapon in 100 Waves Later?

The Greatsword is the most powerful melee weapon, especially with the 2nd Boxer perk as your bonus perk.

What is the best class in 100 Waves Later?

The best classes right now are the Engineer and Pathfinder since they have powerful scaling for reaching the highest waves possible.

What is the best support class in 100 Waves Later?

If you're playing in a team/with friends The Outlander and Medic are the most powerful supporting classes for keeping everyone alive.

What is the best bonus perk in 100 Waves Later?

Wastelander's Perk 3 and 1, Pathfinder's Perk 2 and Engineer's Perk 1 are the most powerful in general. That said Boxer's Perk 2 is best for melee builds.
