Patch 7.5 is in the works for Final Fantasy XIV, and Square Enix confirmed the first FFXIV Letter from the Producer Live XCI (91) stream discussing it will air at 4am PT/7am ET on March 13, 2026. Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida and Global Community Producer Toshio "Foxclon" Murouchi will discuss things to come for players. The official reveal didn't note if it will only be in Japanese or if there will be English subtitles or translations.
There will be three places you can turn to in order to see this presentation. Square Enix will air it on Niconico, Twitch, and YouTube, and the Niconico and YouTube placeholders are already live. It's uncertain how long it will be. We do know it will only be the start of FFXIV 7.5 coverage, as the announcement confirmed it will discuss things coming in "Part 1." Other news related to the game will come up, which could mean an update on things like the Nendoroids.
In the meantime, there's still more to come from FFXIV 7.4 before we get into 7.5. The 7.45 update will arrive on March 3, 2026. A new Merchant's Tale Variant Dungeon will be available to explore after that update. We'll also spend more time with Hildibrand again in Inconceivably Further Hildibrand Adventures. There's also the 2026 Little Ladies Day event running while we wait until March 12, 2026.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the FFXIV 7.5 Letter from the Producer Live XCI (91) will appear at 4am PT/7am ET on March 13, 2026.

As part of Atlus' latest 30th anniversary merchandise reveals, it confirmed the 25th anniversary Persona protagonist plush keychains will be back and Good Smile Company will make Persona 5 Royal Pop Up Parade L figures of Ann "Panther" Takamaki and Makoto "Queen" Niijima. The plush are available via Atlus D Shop via WorldShopping for 1,760円 (~$11.30) each ahead of their August 2026 debut. There's no release window yet for the two figures, which follow existing standard size ones in that line of both heroines.
In the case of the plush keychain rerelease, it focuses on Persona protagonist characters from the original game up through Persona 5 Royal. The third and fifth entries do get a bit more attention, as Joker appears in standard and Phantom Thief attire and there are standard and Reload versions of the Persona 3 male lead. Some of them, like the ones from Persona 3, 4, and 5, previously reappeared in 2024. Here's who's in that set:
Jack Frost and Black Frost mascot plush will also appear alongside them.
Here's how all nine will look when they come back. There's a photo of the Jack Frost mascot keychain plushes too.
As for the Persona 5 Royal Pop Up Parade L Panther and Queen figures, both seem pretty far along in development. Each appeared as painted prototypes in the announcement. If they're similar to the Joker one that's already up for pre-orders and releasing in August 2026, they should be almost eight and a half inches tall (210mm). If the price is the same as his, they should also end up being $57.99/¥8,800 each. Both are static figures with new poses different than the ones used for the previous Pop Up Parade standard figures. (They're also larger than the other ones.)
Here's how those two will look:
The Persona protagonist plush keychains will appear in August 2026, and the Persona 5 Royal Pop Up Parade L Panther and Queen figures are in development.

It will cost $69.99/£49.99/€59.99, and it will appear worldwide in June 2026. Many titles from the Evercade Rare Collection cartridge will also be included.
There will be 12 games total on the Rare Super Pocket handheld, with Banjo-Kazooie and Slalom being two that weren't in the first Evercade cartridge of games from the developer. Here's the full list of what you get on the system:
As a note, Battletoads Arcade, Sabre Wulf, and Underwurlde from the first Evercade collection from the developer aren't present on here. That cartridge with the extra titles is available for $29.99.
There's also a dedicated trailer that shows how this version of the handheld looks. It features a red front and blue back. There's also the Rare logo at the very bottom. At the end, there's a brief scene that shows Banjo playing this gaming handheld while Kazooie watches, instead of him playing a Game Boy.

The Qureate Digest 2026-2027 aired at the end of February 2026 in Japan, and it confirmed that a Bunny Garden 2 sequel is on the way and will include a new heroine. It was the first of five reveals. It will debut in Spring 2026 and, while platforms weren't shown at the end of its trailer, the original appeared on the Switch and PC. A worldwide release wasn't mentioned yet, but the first game did appear everywhere and even got a physical Switch release in English.
Bunny Garden 2 will feature four characters to interact with and romance, Kana, Miuka, and Rin returning. The new character's name is Erisa, but we might see that end up being localized to something like "Alyssa." Her voice actress is Yukina Shuto, who's previously played Haru Urara in Umamusume: Pretty Derby and Panette in Fire Emblem Engage. This time around, the hostesses will sing karaoke. There will also be new activities, with one shown in the trailer being the heroines playing Twister.

Exquisite Laundry Pet's Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land is a love letter to Game Boy Color RPGs. It's the sort of game that doesn't take itself too seriously, sticking strictly to a silly Halloween theme. Which can be quite fun, thanks to unusual characters, turn-based battles, and clever writing. However, the limitations also mean it might get a little frustrating.
Gumball is an actual gumball. They were in a machine, but after you select a flavor (color scheme), you drop into Trick-or-Treat Land. You want to get home, but the Chaos Sweets are ruining everyone's day. If you want a mysterious Scarecrow to use magick to send you back, you need to reach every Hallowed Patches to restore it, dealing with unusual enemies and making the world safer along the way.
It's probably obvious after seeing some screenshots and that trailer, but Exquisite Laundry Pet went for a Game Boy Color aesthetic for Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land, even adhering to those limitations so strictly that it is available on both a cartridge for Nintendo's handheld and PCs via Steam. It's the game's greatest strength, I'd say. The restrictions forced the developer to get creative with its themes and gameplay, and when you keep that in mind with playing, it really does feel as though it's calling back to that moment in time. The presentation and gameplay do remind me of what it was like to go through the Final Fantasy Legend or Magi Nation games. Still, even with needing to stay within certain boundaries, there is a whole potion ingredient and food and drink system and quite a few sidequests that unlock things like extra shops to add to its range.
That is a bit of a double-edged sword, however. While Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land is charming and features a surprising number of side quests in addition to the main storyline, it's also very open-ended. You need to go everywhere and talk to everyone to figure out where the seven Hallowed Patches. On the plus side, finding quest items isn't difficult and even the people you talk to who don't offer valuable information have fun things to say. However, I do strongly recommend having a notebook nearby so you can jot down who wants what, where they are, and maybe even draw a lil' sketch of their sprite to ensure you won't forget their fetch quest.
While things are very open-ended and require you to pay attention, the Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land combat system is quite simple and sticks to the theme. As you'd expect from a Halloween-themed affair, Gumball uses treats in addition to spells and skills when fighting. The "treat" action is a basic attack that may or may not land, the abilities are also candy-themed items you pick up as you progress through the world and are far more reliable methods of defeating foes at the cost of MP. You'll even eventually recruit partners who can join in the fight and help you out! The downside to it is, as this is a very freeform game where you aren't told where to go and when, it's very easy to wind up in an area with too-strong opponents and perhaps get frustrated by a one-hit KO. Especially when you'll have only a few points of HP at the very start.
Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land succeeds at keeping the Game Boy Color RPG vibe alive. It offers a lot to do while staying within certain limitations. However, those boundaries also mean it can sometimes be difficult to discern your next steps or running into fights you just can't win at that point. Still, it's a cute game and Exquisite Laundry Pet embraces that Halloween and GBC aesthetic.
Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land is available on the PC and Game Boy Color.

Capcom announced a new Monster Hunter plush keychain of Khezu that acts as a key cover. It will launch in Japan in October 2026. Currently, the only retailer that ships worldwide taking orders for it is AmiAmi, which is selling it for 1,480円 (~$9.49).
The Khezu is about seven and a half inches long (190mm), and its mouth is about two inches tall (60mm) and three inches wide (80mm). The design is based on the standard version of the flying wyvern, rather than a variant like the Red Khezu. The keychain is attached to the tail, and Capcom's official photos show that a key itself can be attached to a cord that can be pulled out from the inside of the monster's mouth. So when it isn't in use, it can be stored inside.
Here are all three of the photos Capcom shared of the item.
Khezu inspired many different kinds of themed merchandise. For example, there are slippers that make it look like the monster is eating your feet, a tissue box that makes it seem like Kleenex is being pulled from its mouth, and a lamp. There are also more traditional items like figures of the character.
The Monster Hunter Khezu key cover keychain will launch in Japan in October 2026. Monster Hunter Wilds is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and Monster Hunter Stories 3will launch on March 13, 2026 for the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

At the very end of the 2026 Pokemon Presents presentation, Nintendo and Game Freak revealed the gen 10 Pokemon Winds and Waves Switch 2 game and its new starters. The three will be fire, grass, and water types again, and they're named Pombon, Browt, and Gecqua. The whole game also features something of a tropical island theme. It will launch simultaneously worldwide in 2027, and a Brazilian Portuguese localization is confirmed.
There are no solid details about any of the three Pokemon Winds and Waves starters yet, beyond details about their type. Pombon is a fire-type that looks like an orange Pomeranian puppy. Browt is a green bird, and it is the grass-type. Gecqua strongly resembles a blue gecko.
Official art of all three appeared:
Here's the full trailer for Pokemon Winds and Waves. It started by looking at a sketchbook that showed hand-drawn images of moments from different entries in past generations of Pokemon games, with a Pikachu as the focus. After hearing a knock at the door, the new trainer opens it to see two Pikachu in festive beachwear. From there, the trailer transitions to actual gameplay footage showing the new region and areas. We get to see exploration elements and a trainer catching a Pikachu in the location. Only existing characters from past installments are shown, and the only new Pokemon revealed are the starters Pombon, Browt, and Gecqua.
There's also official art of the two new Pikachu:
In case you need to catch up, here are all the other announcements from today's event. The other games that appeared are Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness for the Switch 2 GameCube Classics Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack library, which debuts in March 2026, the March 5, 2026 spin-off Pokemon Pokopia, and the Switch and Switch 2 digital release of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen today.

Ten Fantasy FC Live cards are now available in FC 26 Ultimate Team, and there are some tough decisions to make.
All ten of these items are in line to receive some massive upgrades during the course of the weekend. However, things aren't that simple, as the extent of their upgrades will be determined by FPL (Fantasy Premier League) points. Naturally, not all cards will have the best possible chances for getting the max upgrade.
Table of contents
Which are the best Fantasy FC Live cards to pick in FC 26
The potential upgrades of each card depend on how their respective clubs and the players perform during Matchweek 29. The ultimate aim for each card is to get eight or more FPL points that will get them all the available upgrade. Of course, that's an ideal situation that has less chance of happening.
Here are my best recommendations, along with the explanations.
How to get Fantasy FC Live cards in FC 26
Obtaining the Fantasy FC Live cards is pretty easy. You have to take part in the Fantasy FC Flash Rush event that goes live tomorrow on Feb. 28. You have to choose which card you want, and select a card from the same one. Then, complete a game in the Flash Rush mode, and you'll get your rewards.
Once the Premier League Matchweek 29 goes live, you can check our tracker to find out which cards are getting the biggest upgrades.

Capcom is certainly on a roll. Almost every game it has published over the past several years has turned into an instant hit, and it seems the company has no intention of ending the streak. With Resident Evil Requiem now out, the long-standing franchise has hit new records, absolutely smashing the best releases of the past, including Resident Evil 4 Remake.
That is according to SteamDB, which shows RE Requiem hovering around 320,000 concurrent players on release day. That would mean it almost doubled the highest franchise count, which until today belonged to RE4 Remake at 168,000. Resident Evil Requiem is the first mainline entry to feature Leon Kennedy as a core character since 2012, i.e., his last appearance as a major playable character in Resident Evil 6.
He has spent over 13 years on the sidelines, and Requiem finally lets us take him for a spin throughout a ruined Raccoon City. Leon is much older and more rugged, reflecting the state of the game's world and the city in particular. The halls he wandered in Resident Evil 2, furnished and polished and with that imposing statue in the lobby, are now almost entirely ruined.
It's a very interesting take on an established character and universe, and while we do get introduced to Grace Ashcroft as the co-protagonist, Leon's appearance carries significant implications for the future of Resident Evil. We'll also probably get some DLC down the line, and I certainly hope they let us aura farm as we did with Chris in RE Village.
And players absolutely love it.

We finally got our first look at God of War's TV adaptation today. And while we praised the casting choices before, which are, it appears the reveals are not sitting well with some fans. From "God of Temu" to "AI slop," the TV show is already catching label after label, and that is only based on this one picture.
As covered by our Scott Duwe earlier, a first look at the God of War TV show was revealed today, with Kratos and Atreus front and center, hunting in the woods. The still seems to be trying to capture the spirit of the video games directly, attempting a one-to-one adaptation of the pair's gaming counterparts. However, the way they stand and, well, the way they are dressed, has stirred the hornet's nest.
In the shot, Kratos has a significantly smaller beard, is less rugged, less gritty, and overall carries less aura than would otherwise be expected of the literal god of war. His son is a kid, so he gets all the passes, and little Atreus does look just about as good as he can given his age. There is an overall vibe to the image that simply doesn't scream "high quality," and fans on every social media platform tend to agree.
Over on the PlayStation subreddit, the show has been labeled as "God of Temu," Temu being, of course, a Chinese shopping platform akin to AliExpress, Shein, and Wish. Reaction images shared under the thread discussing the image also express concern, if not outright bewilderment, at how the show is shaping up, considering how good and accurate the casting choices were.
On the television sub, we get more of the same. "I thought it was a photoshopped image at first," said one user. Others were quick to point out that parts of the image could very well be doctored, and since we're talking about early production, that could be the case, though I couldn't verify the claims. "It almost looks too uncanny to me," wrote another.
Of course, since we live in the hellscape of the modern era, accusations of AI also cropped up. Some said the image looks like it was generated by an artificial intelligence model, experiencing great confusion once they'd learned that it was, in fact, a real shot from the show's set.
"It feels like they just announced these castings. I'm wondering if this is just a costume test or something and not an image from actual shooting," one user remarked, and I'm inclined to believe the same. It hasn't even been a month since we last covered some of the first major casting choices, and it is entirely possible that what we were given was an early shot or a teaser of sorts rather than the actual thing.
Whatever the case, it has drawn a lot of criticism from fans of the God of War franchise. This is one of the biggest IPs in video game history, and with how popular the rebooted titles were (those set in the Norse mythology, i.e., those that are being adapted), expectations are certainly above average.
No matter how well they put it together, I feel someone somewhere will have something to complain about. So let's hope this early first look is a far cry from the final product, which we are probably not going to see on our small screens for quite a long while.

One of the many contracts in Marathon involves downloading the geological survey in the southeast building, and doing so will get you a few interesting rewards.
While the game does tell you where you need to go, the exact location remains hidden unless you're less than 100m from the spot. With the UESC threat and other runners in the fray, it can be a difficult task, and this guide will make your life easier.
Table of contents
How to locate the geological survey in the southeast building in Marathon
The southeast building is located in the Station POI on Perimeter. Finding the POI isn't that difficult, but the same can't be said about the southeast building. The objective marker also appears only when you're at the building.
If you approach from the spot where we typically spawn in Perimeter's south-eastern part, travel towards the location through the main path. Once you're at the spot shown in the image below, look for the building on the left (in black and yellow). This is exactly where the exfil point spawns on the map. I have also marked the location of the building to make things easier for you.
Go to the front of the building, and look for a ladder from the ground. The ladder is located to right-hand side of the building (shown in the image below). Take the ladder and go to the nearest room to find the terminal. Alternatively, you can also jump from the rocks to the deck to access the same room.

Once you've located the terminal, most of your job is done. Go close to the terminal and interact with it to download all the data. Once done, your contract is complete, and you can exfil to claim your rewards. Of course, this isn't the hardest of contracts, as you'll find some really tricky ones like the one that introduces you to the Traxus faction.

Marathon has greatly improved since its lackluster closed alpha test last April, and a wide swathe of players are finally getting to play it for themselves in this weekend's server slam.
The reaction to the open test has been mixed. Many can see the potential, while others are turned off entirely by the game's art style and graphics, but a fair few players are loving what they've played thus far, too.
I'm still somewhere in the middle about how I feel about the game from what I've experienced over multiple tests. It's definitely gotten better, but there are a number of potential issues that are popping up now that it's in the hands of the masses.
Here are a few of Marathon's biggest bug-a-boos that need to be fixed as quickly as possible.
Table of contents
5 server slam issues holding Marathon back
The menus and UI
The single biggest complaint (outside of the game's art style, which seems to be either loved or hated), is the menu navigation and UI. It's a lot. The image above is just one of many menus that are filled with numerous icons, small text, and an aesthetic that sometimes makes it tough to read.
"We've heard your thoughts and want to hear more," Bungie said of the UI feedback, and are asking for more specific complaints on the Marathon Discord server.
PvP scarcity
I've played quite a few rounds on multiple maps, and it's been difficult to find other teams to engage with. As an extraction shooter that emphasizes PvP, this is the bulk of the experience: finding other teams, battling, and coming away with their loot to improve your status.
This just hasn't been happening as much as I'd like, and it's another top complaint I've seen.
AI enemies can be overwhelming
Bungie hinted at the fact that the game's lack of PvP right now could be because the UESC enemies (bots) are swarming players and taking them out before they can meet up with anyone else. If this is the case, they could potentially use some tuning.
They are indeed powerful. Many of them have shields that take a lot of ammo to tear through, and it seems to be actually taking away from the PvP aspect. I don't have as much of an issue with bots being tough, but I still think improvements can be made.
Performance issues
I haven't run into too many problems with running the game. On my four-year-old rig, it runs pretty flawlessly at around 90 FPS, which is fine for me. There are also some problems with mouse input lag on PC, so there's definitely some optimizations to be done.
Loot balancing
Ammunition seems to be pretty scarce when playing a round of Marathon. Healing items are, too. And when you want to resupply from the Armory, they're a bit pricy when first starting out. I think the bulk of this issue could be solved with leveling up Factions and unlocking new abilities, but changes like having UESC bots drop some ammo or healing items more often would be a step in the right direction.
What are your thoughts on the Marathon server slam? Let us know in the comments, and keep it classy.

If you were around for the reveal of Pokémon's Generation 7, you'll remember the controversy around Litten. When the design of the cat-like 'mon first debuted, fans were ecstatic. We were finally about to get a Fire Starter on four legs! Never in the franchise's history had there been a final-stage Fire Starter who remained a quadruped all throughout its evolutionary line, and with Litten, it only made sense that we were about to.
That was, until Litten stood up.
What had once been a grumpy, but oh-so-cute four-legged cat became Incineroar, what can only be described as a human wrestler with a propensity for flares and fursuits. Fans were heavily split into those who loved the design and those who were horrified at what Pokémon Starters had become.
I fell into the latter camp, incredibly disappointed with the final evos for the Alolan Starters. The final evos of the previous generation—Delphox, Chesnaught, and Greninja—had already bordered the line between the cool, monster-like designs of the franchise's earlier concepts and the fursuit personas we'd eventually get in later ones. But the Kalos Starters had signaled a turning point that the following batch of Pocket Monsters fully capitalized on. And when Incineroar, Decidueye, and Primarina appeared in all their glory, it became glaringly obvious that the Pokémon's creators were doubling down on a direction that geared more towards designing personality-first creatures that could fill character roles in the anime, and less of the franchise's original art direction that imagined Pokémon as mostly filling the same role animals have in real life.
We're now four generations ahead of the Alolan days, and we just got the official confirmation of the Gen. 10 starters: Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua. While some are already losing it in excitement over the new designs, quick to claim a tribe between the three, I just want to remind everyone to hold your Ponytas; we haven't even seen the final designs, and you may end up hating them when we finally do.
From an adorable little Sobble turning into a weird gangly James Bond lizard to a lovable grass cat growing up to be a bipedal mask-wearing bandit, I've been bamboozled one too many times by cute Pokémon Starters. No, I don't want to explore a new region with a fully grown adult human wearing a Pokémon costume running behind me. Give me a fire-breathing dragon or a giant land tortoise capable of reshaping the earth beneath their feet. I want power and simplicity in my animal-like companions, not the soccer skills Scorbunny sports or the zesty footwork of Quaquaval.
When you have a design like Blastoise, Samurott, or Sceptile—animalistic designs without human characteristics—you're free to fill in the blanks of what the creature's personality would be. In the anime, we've got lazy Charizards, athletic Charizards, and confident, but not cocky Charizards (though we get that, too). When you have a Pokémon designed with a specific trait in mind, though—like Cinderace, who's modeled after an athletic soccer player with actual clothing—it's harder to justify other personality types outside of what would make a sporty ball-kicker a, well, sporty ball-kicker.
A lot of you will probably admonish me for my deeply rooted hatred of these human designs, telling me my 30-year-old self needs to cool it over a literal kids' game. And a lot of you would probably be right. But I grew up catching 'mons and imagining them as companions on my team, each with their own personalities. It's what made replaying the games again and again and again that much fun, so it's rough seeing a franchise you grew up on no longer appeal to your vision for the game, what attracted you to it in the first place.
I don't have much hope for Starter designs anymore, which is why I'm not picking a side from today's trio. And if you're like me, you shouldn't either. What's an innocent-looking Fire-type Pomeranian might grow up to be a macho dogman who could rival Joe Rogan in a lookalike contest. Hopefully not. But probably.
Weirdly enough, even though I might not have much hope, that won't stop me from hoping anyway. I'll still search up fanart imagining what our new little Angry Bird knockoff Browt will look like when he's all grown up. I want to see where Pokémon fans' brains go when they think of a badass fire dog that was once a little poofy ball of fur. Is that a bad thing to do? To hold out hope when history has proven you wrong time and time again?
Oh well. I'm probably setting myself up for another broken heart. So consider this your public reminder: don't get too excited about the new Pokémon Starters until we see their final forms, unless you want to deal with another era of disappointment like me.

In the Redacted quest series, you'll be tasked with checking off tricky tasks all around the island for The Visitor. One of the tougher missions they give you asks you to make contact with Dark Voyager's ship while airborne.
You generally spend the majority of your time on the ground in each round, and the Dark Voyager's ship is pretty high up, so reaching it is quite a difficult feat. Luckily, there are a few easy ways to make it happen, so here's how to make contact with Dark Voyager's ship while airborne in Fortnite.
Table of contents
Dark Voyager's ship location in Fortnite
The Dark Voyager's ship can be found hovering over Lethal Labs in Fortnite. This POI is located ever so slightly west of the middle of the island, and the ship is a massive silver ball with orange accents floating above it. It's huge and easy to spot from just about anywhere on the island, as it's the only flying item you'll see besides hot air balloons.
Make contact with Dark Voyager's ship while airborne in Fortnite
To complete the make contact with Dark Voyager's ship while airborne quest, you need to collide with the Dark Voyager's ship while in the air. This mission is a bit similar to the touch a Zero Point Shard to investigate its mysterious effects quest, as you essentially need to fly and bump into a suspended item that's usually just out of reach.
The quickest and most efficient way to tackle this quest is flying straight into the Dark Voyager's ship right out of the battle bus. This ensures you're able to get it done with minimal risk of enemy player interference and no need for supporting items to help you reach it. It's also the time when you're naturally most high up in the air, giving you plenty of space and time to glide around and reach it.
If you can't make this happen, the next best option is finding and using a Wingsuit. With this item, climb up onto one of the buildings around the outer edges of Lethal Labs, activate the suit, then circle around to fly right into the Dark Voyager's ship.
You can also try to find some Launch Pads as loot around the island. These can be thrown down on the ground, then jumped on to launch you into the air. Sometimes, there are also random Rift events, which allow you to hop into Rifts that shoot you up in the sky. The method you use for this quest doesn't matter as long as you end up colliding with the ship, so choose whichever one is easiest for you.
After making contact with the ship, you'll be pushed backward and quickly fall down to the island below. Don't worry too much, though, as you're given temporary immunity against fall damage, meaning you'll land safely. The Order has a few lines of dialogue to share with you right after you're done with this trial.
While bumping into the Dark Voyager's ship is completely safe, shooting at it isn't, so be sure to avoid doing so when working on this quest. If you do fire at this ship from anywhere on the island, it'll turn toward you and fire a deadly beam that's tough to avoid.
If you're seeking some additional XP after finishing this mission, there are many unique tasks waiting to be completed around the island. Next, you might try working on using Treasure Cannons to collect items for the base, finding Human Bill, and entering Dumpsters or Flushers in different matches.

Production is already underway on the God of War live-action TV series for Prime Video, and the proof came today with a first look at the main characters.
Prime Video released this image today featuring Ryan Hurst as Kratos and Callum Vinson as Atreus, depicting one of the earliest scenes from the 2018 PS4 God of War "reboot" that took the angry Spartan and put him into the role of a father in ancient Norse mythology.
And yep, that's definitely Kratos and Atreus! I thought it was pretty cool to see these characters come to life, but the reactions on social media are overall rather negative (can you believe it?!), with some comparing it to a cosplay and others questioning if it's AI-generated. And I kind of understand, because it just may be a case of these sorts of visuals not translating well to live-action, regardless of how accurate the costumes and makeup may be.
Prime Video has done a very solid job with the Fallout series, so I have faith that this show will also be done properly, especially considering the amazing cast thus far. Beyond Hurst and Vinson, the show also stars Mandy Patinkin as Odin, Ed Skrein as Baldur, Max Parker as Heimdall, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson as Thor, and even voice actor Alastair Duncan returning to play Mimir.
Obviously, it boils down to how the game's story is adapted, written, and filmed, but as a first impression, I'm pretty happy with how the actors look. I think Kratos's beard could be a bit burlier and thicker, and Callum Vinson does look a bit young to play Atreus, but I think the costumes look pretty spot-on.
"Ex-Spartan warrior Kratos becomes the ruthless God of War himself after exacting his revenge on Ares who killed his loved ones under the deity's influence," the show's synopsis on IMDB reads. "However, he constantly looks for a chance to change his fate."
And this gives me hope, too. Kratos's era as the angry, murderous Spartan warrior is important for his backstory, so glazing over it would be a concern. For now, it doesn't seem that will be the case, so I hope that the show utilizes flashbacks to show some of the most important moments from his past, like losing his wife and daughter.
Of course, there are concerns with how the show may end up. But either way, I'm choosing to be positive and hopeful that this God of War adaptation will be enjoyable whenever it releases.

There's a new set of Timed Research in Pokémon Go in celebration of the franchise's 30th anniversary, and the mobile game is giving you three different options: Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie.
If you love all the Kalos Starters equally, you might be a bit stumped on which path you should choose in the "A Beautiful Day to Celebrate!" Timed Research. But the good news is, you won't be missing out on anything too rare if you pick "wrong"—and really, there's no "wrong" answer here.
The "A Beautiful Day to Celebrate!" takes readers to the world of Kalos by challenging you to catch Pokémon every day and rewarding you with one of the three generation six Starters: Chespin, Fennekin, or Froakie. Whoever you pick will be the one that spawns as a reward for completing each leg of the research. So—if you're like me and picked Chespin, for example—you'll only get Chespins after completing a task.
But it's not just any old Kalos Starter. It's on a special background. There are two different backgrounds your Starter can have: either a blue-and-white design that almost resembles a window effect or one with orange and maroon tentacle-like effects. So, again, it doesn't really matter which Pokémon you pick, but I recommend choosing one that you need the most for your collection, or if you have a favorite of the three, pick that. You could get a Shiny, and a Shiny with a special background is definitely better than one without.
It's unlikely these backgrounds will appear again, since this Timed Research is specifically in celebration of the franchise's 30th anniversary. Luckily, you'll have six different options to get a Shiny Kalos Starter with a special background, as there are six different legs for this research. Each task requires you to catch a Pokémon on a different day, and you have nine days in total to complete all tasks. So if you miss a day, no sweat—just don't miss more than four. Once you've completed all six tasks, you get five Candy of whichever Starter you chose, Stardust corresponding to your Starter's PokéDex number, and 2,026 experience points.
If you haven't yet unlocked the new research, head on over to the Pokémon Go website to redeem a code. You'll need to log in to your account and then type in the code "GOTOURKALOS." That will automatically unlock the research, and you can make your choice in the Special Research tab of the game, but the research itself will appear under "Events."
For more Pokémon celebrations, be sure to check out the reveal of the generation 10 mainline games, Wind and Waves, and start weighing the pros and cons of each Starter before your journey begins.

Just like 30 years ago, it all begins with a decision.
Pokémon Winds and Waves is the 10th generation of Pokémon, launching for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027, so we have plenty of time to talk about the choice we all must make: which Starter will you be choosing?
The three adorable Starters in Winds and Waves are a grass bird, fire Pomeranian, and water gecko, and they all have their own appeal. And so I pose the question to you, dear reader, who will you select when it's time to start your Winds and Waves journey?
Let's go over the options before the game drops in 2027.
Table of contents
Which Pokémon Winds and Waves Starters
Here's everything we know so far about the new Starter Pokémon in Winds and Waves.
Browt
Look at those EYEBROWS! This unibrow-wearing "bean chick" is hilarious, and already gaining legions of fans for its funny-looking design. But a potential Grass/Flying type? That's tough!
Pombon
Dog-lovers everywhere are shrieking. The fluffy, yapping Pomeranian breed is bringing the flames with its Blaze ability, and its staggering weight (for a puppy) at 14.8 pounds. What could this evolve into?
Gecqua
My early pick for my favorite is, naturally, the water type. Gecqua (Gecko Aqua) is a little too reminiscent of Sobble, but with sass instead of sadness. And by design alone (and water bias), this is my pick so far.
Let us know in the comments below which Gen10 Starter you're looking forward to, or if you can't choose just yet either. As usual, it may depend on the final evolutions and how bad-ass those are since those are the ones you'll be stuck with after a while. But there's plenty of time for talk for now.

Mega Garchomp Z in Pokémon Legends Z-A is finally about to be a reality, nearly two months after we received the Mega Dimensions DLC. TPC has finally revealed the important details surrounding the Pokémon, including how to obtain it.
How to obtain Mega Garchomp Z in Pokémon Legends Z-A
To get the Mega Garchomp Z, you're going to need the normal Garchomp, and there are a few more prerequisites.
Once you redeem the mystery gift, you'll encounter a special hyperspace distortion. This distortion will be created once you redeem the mystery gift, and the location will be highlighted on the map. Enter the distortion, and Mega Garchomp Z will be waiting for you.
No, you can't add that creature to your party. Instead, you'll have to defeat Mega Garchomp Z to win the Garchompite Z stone. Once you get the stone, you can now use it to mega evolve and get your own Mega Garchomp Z.
I will be adding a few more steps for the fight based on how difficult it might be. As of writing, Mega Garchomp is already available, pending you complete/have already completed the above-mentioned steps.
Unfortunately, Mega Garchomp Z isn't free to obtain, unlike the Legendary Mewtwo that was available for all. Additionally, you'll need a base Gible, which can be caught in Wild Zone 8 just after you finish Main Mission 10. Level up the Gabite to level 49 after leveling up Gible to level 24, and it will then evolve to Garchomp. Hand it the stone, and you'll be able to mega evolve it to Mega Garchomp Z.

Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua are the starter Pokémon of Pokémon Winds and Waves, the 10th generation games coming in 2027. The trio was revealed at the end of the Pokémon Presents that broadcast this Friday, Feb. 27, to celebrate the 30 years of the franchise.
Browt is a Grass-type, Pombon is a Fire-type, and Gecqua is a Water-type. Right now, these were the only new Pokémon confirmed to be featured in the next mainline game.
Browt's bird-like design makes it look like its Stage 2 evolution could also be a Flying-type, though Decidueye has a similar design but Ghost as its secondary type. Pombon and Gecqua don't give me any specific vibes, though I wouldn't be surprised to see Pombon's final evolution as a secondary Normal or Fairy type, the same typing of other dog Pokémon.
Browt is called "the Bean Chick Pokémon." Pombon, which is probably a combination of "pomeranian" and "bonfire," is "a guileless and friendly Puppy Pokémon." Gecqua, likely "gecko" and "acqua," is simply "the Water Gecko Pokémon."
It's easy to trash new Pokémon design, so I'm sorry, you won't see me doing this. I think, however, that Gecqua's design is a bit too close to Drizzile's, Sobble's evolution. And I can't help but see Pombon as a baby Zamazenta. Still, I'm excited about their evolutions, though such a reveal could me months away since Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves will come out sometime in 2027 only.

Stardew Valley has an impressive roster of romance candidates to choose from, and sometimes, things might just not work out the way you hoped with them. If this is the case, you may be wondering how to divorce your spouse.
There have also been new candidates added to the game over the years, so regardless of what your reasons are, knowing how to find and use this option is helpful since you're never directly told that this is even available to you. If you're ready to begin a new chapter, here's how to divorce your spouse in Stardew Valley.
Table of contents
How to get a divorce in Stardew Valley
You can divorce your spouse by visiting the Mayor's Manor, interacting with a special book, and paying 50,000g. This process takes a bit of getting used to, especially if you haven't done it before, so here's a full breakdown of how to get it done.
Can you cancel a divorce in Stardew Valley?
If you file for a divorce but end up changing your mind, you can cancel the divorce by visiting Mayor Lewis's house again before it closes at 10pm on the same day you submitted the request. Interact with the same book you used to file the divorce to cancel it. You get your money back for doing so, and your spouse will never know that you filed, as they are only ever informed of a divorce on the morning after one has been filed.
What happens when you get a divorce in Stardew Valley?
When you get a divorce, your relationship level with your ex-spouse is set to zero hearts, and they receive the special "Ex" title next to their name. Your spouse, their room, and the unique outside area will vanish the morning after the divorce is filed. They also move back to their previous residence.
Your ex will have generally negative interactions with you moving forward. They won't accept any gifts from you, either. If you wish to have a fresh start with them, you can do so by visiting the Witch's Hut and presenting an offering of 30,000g to the shrine. Once paid, the "Ex" title will be removed, and all memories of the relationship will be gone, allowing you to date, gift, marry, and otherwise interact with them like you are just meeting for the first time.
There's plenty more to uncover in Stardew Valley. If you're not sure what to do next, you may wish to learn all cooking recipes, find the Trash Bear, obtain all Artifacts, get the best Rings, and obtain Blue Grass Starters.

Pokémon's 30th anniversary showcase today for Pokémon Day ended with a poorly-kept secret: Generation 10 is coming, and it's called Pokémon Winds and Waves.
Today's Pokémon Presents was one of the most hyped in a long time, and rightfully so, as today marks the 30th birthday of the original Pokémon Red and Green games on GameBoy in Japan. 30 years and Ash is still a little kid at heart.
After several cool announcements like a music player, updates for existing games, and news on Pokémon Champions' release date, the focus switched to Winds and Waves. These upcoming titles will launch a new generation of Pokémon is coming for a new generation of gamers.
The two games featuring a whole list of new Pokémon to catch is coming to the Switch 2, featuring some exciting upgrades with the new hardware, and a new group of starter Pokémon to grow with. And to top everything off, we got the new starters revealed: Browt, Pombon, Gecqua, and they are all adorable.
Browt is a grass bird, Pombon is a fire pomeranian puppy, and Gecqua is a water gecko, and I already am having issues deciding which one I will choose because they look phenomenal. I guess it will depend on those final evolutions, like always.
Either way, the bad news here is Winds and Waves are not releasing until 2027, exclusively for the Switch 2. But the game looks great from the little bit of footage shown so far, teasing a tropical locale, open world, and some of the best graphics yet in a Pokémon game.
The worst part about the reveal is that we have to wait until next year to play the game, but honestly, I don't mind if the final product is something bigger and better than what we've gotten out of previous releases.
Which starter are you going to choose? My heart says water, but as a dog lover, that fire pomeranian is just too adorable.
