Kotaku Wednesday, May 10, 2023 8:00 PM I wrote a fair bit last year about Ixion, a deep space city-builder than combined the joys of popping in little structures with some 4X elements like exploration, then wrapped it all up in an engrossing story about the dying days of the human race. I loved the game, but I also hated it. |

PC Invasion - FeedDDD Wednesday, May 10, 2023 8:08 PM Overwatch 2 just received a hefty mid-season balance patch which swung the meta a bit with some wild balance changes. Junker Queen mains, for instance, ate well with this patch with some huge buffs that increase her survivability and damage. Other characters, like Ana, weren't so lucky. However, the real loser of this patch isn't any of the heroes who got a minor nerf here or there. It's the players, who are reporting a record amount of bugs that seem to be hitting the game all at once. The latest midseason buff is bugging out, with some characters like Doomfist and Sigma going crazy. One of the major bugs that hit the recent patch was for Sigma, who is currently disabled in competitive mode due to a glitch that allows him to fly indefinitely. If you hate Pharah, you certainly wouldn't love going against a permanently airborne tank. Another major hero bug is surrounding Doomfist, whose Power Block is not working correctly against a huge list of different abiliti... |
PC Invasion - FeedDDD Wednesday, May 10, 2023 7:54 PM Genshin Impact's Geo element is one that's somewhat neglected, but that doesn't mean there aren't strong characters who wield the Geo element. Here's our guide on Albedo's best team comps in Genshin Impact. Albedo is a 5-star Geo Sword character and can be summoned on the Limited Event Wish banner when he is a featured character. When he's not a featured character on a special banner, you cannot summon Albedo. As a 5-star character, Albedo periodically receives re-runs, so keep an eye out for when Albedo will be featured next i... |
PC Invasion - FeedDDD Wednesday, May 10, 2023 6:31 PM Developer Arkane Studios has become a renowned developer over the years, having made critically acclaimed hits like Deathloop and the Dishonored series. But if you only looked at the reception of Redfall, the studio's latest game, you probably would not have intuited this. Having come out recently, Redfall has been raked over the coals by both players and professional critics alike. Currently, the PC version sits at a middling 59 Metascore on Metacritic, and Steam users have given it a "mostly negative" rating on the service. So this begs the question, what went wrong with Redfall to warrant all of these bad reviews? What happened with Redfall? A general blandness and uninspiredness in much of Redfall's design encompass much of the game's negative response. Many have expressed that the open world feels empty and uninteresting to explore and that the mission design stays repetitive throughout. Additionally, players have criticized the game'... |
PC Invasion - FeedDDD Wednesday, May 10, 2023 6:31 PM If you own Jedi: Survivor on either PS5 or Xbox Series S/X, you may have wanted to make use of HDR so that the game can look as crisp as possible. Unfortunately, players have found that HDR does not work properly on these versions of the game. Those who enabled HDR typically saw their image quality plummet, with the screen often darkening to an excessive degree on PS5. Although no one has found a permanent fix for the issue at this moment, YouTuber GamingTech did discover some temporary solutions that players could use until a patch arrives. Naturally, these solutions differ between the PS5 and Xbox versions, so here is what you can do for each. Solutions for Jedi: Survivor HDR issue HDR fix for PS5 Before you boot up Jedi: Survivor on PS5, you should first open up the system's HDR settings. From there, raise all three Adjust values to their highest levels. You will know you have done this correctly once you see the up button on the d-pad grey out on the TV screen. Afterwar... |
