Hello Neighbor 2 Trailer Breaks Down Mr. Peterson's AI

hello neighbor 2

Mr. Peterson is eternal, as showcased in the latest trailer for Eerie Guest's Hello Neighbor 2. Following the first game's events, the player ventures to Raven Books to locate Peterson. Unfortunately, the latter is an even more efficient AI than before that will learn from previous experiences and hunt you down. Check out the trailer below.

Much like the previous game, Mr. Peterson will look for ways to ambush the player, copy any effective exploration patterns and even use the same objects. This means you'll have to employ new tricks to evade his grasp. Fortunately, the AI also has a routine of sorts so knowing how to leverage this is key.

Hello Neighbor 2 is slated to release this year for PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. The 1.5 alpha is currently available to play for free and offers new puzzles and interactions along with revamped level design. Stay tuned more details in the coming days.

ExoMecha Gameplay Trailer is Full of Explosive Action, Out in August

exomecha

TwistedRed's free-to-play multiplayer first person shooter ExoMecha was announced a little under a year ago, and as interesting as it looked, we haven't really seen a whole lot more of the game since then. At the Xbox indie showcase, however, we got a pretty solid look at what the game is going to have on offer in terms of gameplay.

The trailer's full of some pretty high-octane action, and from underwater combat and a grappling hook-type tool to vehicular action and more, there's plenty that's going on in here. It's also worth mentioning that ExoMecha is looking really cool from a visuals perspective- here's hoping the final game boasts this same level of visual fidelity. Check out its trailer below.

Meanwhile, the trailer also confirms that ExoMecha will be launching in August of this year, so it won't be too long before players can dive into the shooter. When it launches, it will be available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko's Choice Out in Late 2021

Shadow Tactics - Blades of the Shogun - Aiko's Choice

Mimimi Games has a new project in the works but it's going back to its acclaimed stealth strategy Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun with Aiko's Choice. The standalone expansion will release in late 2021 and features Aiko in a central role. It sees her battling a new enemy that has connections to her past.

Since Aiko's Choice is standalone, you won't have to play the original game (though given the story connections, it is advised). There will be three new main missions and interludes set in Japan during the Edo period. Players will rejoin their favourite characters for "one final adventure set within the story of the main game." Expect plenty of stealth, subterfuge and sabotage, especially thanks to the Shadow Mode feature for synchronizing the team's actions.

More details on Aiko's Choice should be expected in the coming months so stay tuned. Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is currently available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Mimimi Games has also worked on Desperados 3, another acclaimed stealth strategy title.

Call of Duty 2021 is Called WWII: Vanguard – Rumour [UPDATE]

call of duty ww2

UPDATE: A new report by Eurogamer corroborates the title Call of Duty WW2: Vanguard for this year's entry, which Activision reportedly plans to stick to for the final release, and that the game is being developed by Sledgehammer. However, Eurogamer reports that the details about the game being set in an alternate history 1950s timeline where the Second World War didn't end aren't accurate, and that the game is going to have "a traditional WW2 setting".

Original story follows:

To no one's surprise, it has been confirmed by Activision that there will be a new premium Call of Duty game released later this year, but exactly what that game to be is something we can only guess at yet. Some leaks have indicated that the game – reportedly being developed by Sledgehammer Games – will have a World War 2 setting once again, but now, another leak may have potentially expanded on that with more details.

ModernWarzone has been a reliable source of leaks and information for Call of Duty in the past, and the latest leak from them states that this year's game is called Call of Duty WWII: Vanguard. The name is apparently a tentative one, and might still change before the game releases, but right now, that is what the game is supposed to be called.

Meanwhile, as far as the setting is concerned, the game will apparently be set in an alternate history 1950s, and in this timeline, the Second World War never ended. How that ends up happening isn't something that's been detailed, but it sure sounds very Wolfenstein.

Of course, this is an unverified leak, so take it with a grain of salt for now. We'll keep you updated should anything change though, so stay tuned.

More Square Enix Games Are Coming to Xbox Game Pass – Rumour

xbox game pass

Xbox Game Pass' value has been undeniable since pretty much the day the service kicked off, but of late, it's improved in massive ways, most notably with twenty Bethesda games having joined its catalog in one go. Square Enix have also been joining in, with this year having seen the likes of Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Ageand more recently, Octopath Traveler having joined Xbox Game Pass, while Outriders will also be available via the service on consoles on the day of its launch. And it seems the Japanese publisher has more in the pipeline as well.

Recently, IGN Korea, in a tweet talking about Octopath Traveler on Game Pass, wrote that Square Enix has "more than six" games currently planned for Xbox Game Pass, for which release schedules are being planned, and that apparently, it's "an open secret in the industry." Xbox insider Shpeshal Ed of Xbox Era also took to Twitter and wrote, "Expect a few more Square games on Game Pass. Not done yet."

Of course, this is a rumour right now, and should be taken as such, but given how aggressively Microsoft has been pushing Game Pass, and the fact that Square Enix has been a part of that to some extent, it's not outside the realm of possibility.

Recent reports have also suggested that Microsoft is working to get the Ubisoft Plus catalog on Xbox Game Pass, similar to the deal that brought EA Play to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Read more on that through here.

Devolver Digital Will Announce a Game at the Xbox Indie Showcase Later Today

devolver digital game

The first ever Xbox indie showcase will be going live just over a couple of hours from now, and alongside updates and new trailers for games that were already announced, there will also be some new announcements. One of these was recently teased.

Indie publisher Devolver Digital recently took to Twitter to confirm that it will be announcing a new game at the showcase. No details were shared, obviously other than what's probably a piece of artwork from the game, which seems to give off some horror(ish) vibes- but that could mean anything, really. We'll know one or another what it's going to be pretty soon.

This will be one of 25 games to be featured in the showcase, including the likes of The Ascent, Second Extinction, and more (though Hades definitely won't be there). The showcase kicks off at 9:00 AM Pacific time, and we'll be covering it live, so stay tuned for all the updates.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Dev Video Shows Off Game's Models, Weapons, And Teeth

New-STALKER-2-screenshots-July-2020-3

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is one that no doubt a lot of people will be looking forward to. A sequel to the legendary survival game of old, it looks to once again capture the feeling of dread and isolation of being in the midst of a scorched landscape. We have no idea when the game will actually come out, only getting a few teasers here and there so far, and today we got a look at the impressive model work in the game. Also teeth.

The game was set to get a video at the Xbox Indie Showcase later today. It seems maybe that has gone up a little early. The video takes a look at the character models as well as some of the weapons you'll be using. It's very impressive, though it's hard to parse how it'll look in-game, obviously. They also go a lot into some of their custom teeth tech, which is pretty fun, and also manages to give someone a pretty ugly mug.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is set to release at some point for Xbox Series X/S and PC, and has been confirmed to be a day 1 Game Pass title.
