Battlefield 6 – More Screenshots Have Leaked from the Upcoming Reveal Trailer

battlefield 5

It seems like we get a new Battlefield 6 leak every day these days. The next instalment in EA and DICE's first person shooter series is going to be revealed soon, but fans of the series have been getting impatient, and what that's led to, as impatience almost always does, is leaks. We've seen a few screenshots (of pretty bad quality) from the game's as-of-yet unseen reveal trailer already, and now, a bunch more have surfaced.

As spotted over on Reddit, several screencaps from the Battlefield 6 trailer have been leaked online. Though they're of a better quality than most of what's been leaked up until now, they're still not exactly sharp, while there's also a giant annoying watermark that obscures a big chunk of the images. Either way, for the impatient fans out there, I guess it's something. Take a look through the Reddit link above.

Battlefield 6 is going to be revealed in June, EA has confirmed, and we can assume that more details on the game will be shared at EA Play Live in July. The game will launch for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and as EA recently confirmed, contrary to recent rumours, it will also release for PS4 and Xbox One.

Overwatch 2 Will Completely Rework Bastion "from the Ground up"

overwatch bastion

Overwatch 2 is going to bring about plenty of changes to the hero shooter's successful formula, and the addition of PvE missions won't be the only one of note. Recently, Blizzard confirmed that the shooter would be shifting to 5v5 matches and dropping one tank from each side, while also giving us a look at a new mode and some of the game's maps. In that same blog update, they also spoke about some specific characters- and one that seems to be in line for a pretty radical reinvention is the walking sentry gun, Bastion.

As Blizzard explains, Bastion is going to be one of multiple heroes from the first game that are going to be "reviewed and reworked from the ground up" in Overwatch 2, which should lead to "major changes to how the hero plays." While details on exactly what these changes are going to be are scant right now, Blizzard says these changes will "result in rebalancing and adjustments across the board." Details on how some of these heroes (which will hopefully include Bastion) are going to be reworked will be shared with sneak peaks "later this year."

Overwatch 2's launch date is currently unknown, though we do know for sure that it isn't coming out this year. Blizzard says it's going to take the time it needs to ensure that it's a worthy sequel to its predecessor. Read the words of former director Jeff Kaplan through here.

Metro Exodus is the First PC Game to Support DualSense's Adaptive Triggers and Haptic Feedback

metro exodus

While you can, of course, play games on your PC with a DualSense controller plugged in, not all of the PS5 controller's features are supported- most notably, the headlining adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. Until now, it seems.

4A Games and Deep Silver recently released Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition for PC, and it seems it's the first game on PC to support the DualSense's full extent of capabilities. As discovered by ResetEra user dex3108, Metro Exodus on PC now supports the adaptive triggers when you're shooting your gun, as well as haptic feedback, when you play the game with the DualSense plugged in.

Given that no official statements were released by any parties concerned, this definitely comes as something of a surprise. The hope is that more PC games will follow in its footsteps and implement the DualSense's unique features.

Meanwhile, Metro Exodus is also launching for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on June 18. Head on over here to get details on all the improvements and enhancements it'll boast.

Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 Aren't the Only Games Blizzard is Working on

Blizzard

Blizzard's stock has definitely fallen in recent years, and the company that was once one of the best developers of games in the industry has made more than a few mistakes of late, while high-profile departures from the studio certainly haven't helped public consensus. With the likes of Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 coming up, however, fans are hoping that they'll soon get back to their best.

But that's not the only thing they're working on. IGN recently published a report on the company and the issues that it has been facing, in which they also spoke with several developers at Blizzard. And according to World of Warcraft director Ion Hazzikostas, Blizzard is working on more games besides Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 that they will be talking about "before too long" that, according to him, will help Blizzard "turn the corner into a really exciting time."

"We are about to turn the corner into a really exciting time," Hazzikostas said. "I think Blizzard has long development cycles. The games that we make are not games that are produced and turned around quickly in a year or two. People have seen what's in the works with Diablo 4, with Overwatch 2, and are incredibly excited about both of those games. […] [W]e have other projects that are in the works, and I think, you know, folks across the world will be seeing before too long what we're up to, and I can't wait to share that with them."

One would assume that one of these projects is the next expansion for World of Warcraft, but it should be interesting to see what else the company has cooking up. It's undeniable that Blizzard hasn't been at its best for a while now, so let's hope Hazzikostas' optimism isn't misguided.

Forza Horizon 5 Rumours Heat up Again Thanks to New Hot Wheels Toys

forza horizon 4

Even though Forza Horizon 5 hasn't been officially by announced by Microsoft and Playground Games, most people are taking for granted the fact that the game is going to be revealed soon, and released not long afterward. Rumours of the next game in the Horizon subseries emerged late last year, and have refused to let up since then, and an interesting new development lends further credence to those rumours.

As spotted by Hot Wheels site thuntedblog on Instagram, Hot Wheels is gearing up to release a new series of Forza Horizon branded toys this September. That's interesting in and of itself, but the art on the packaging of these ties shows desert-like environments in the background- which falls in line with the incessant rumours that Forza Horizon 5 is going to be set in Mexico.

Most are assuming that Forza Horizon 5 will be announced at E3, and with E3 not far away, we'll know soon enough if these toys are hinting at what we think they are hinting at. Stay tuned.

Rumoured New Final Fantasy RPG Allegedly Being Developed by Team Ninja, is Souls-Inspired – Rumour

final fantasy logo

With Final Fantasy 16, Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, there's no shortage of things to look forward to for fans of the series, but it seems like there's still other things in the works that Square Enix hasn't yet spoken about. Recently, reports emerged that a new Final Fantasy RPG, exclusive for the PS5, was going to be announced soon, and now, another new rumour adds further details to that.

As spotted by Wccftech, French leaker Souls Hunt recently published a video speaking about the game, and dropped some interesting potential details. This new Final Fantasy game is being developed by Team Ninja, apparently, who are seemingly going to put their Nioh expertise to use. Souls Hunt claims that the game is going to be heavily-Souls inspired, and compares it to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Allegedly, the game is going to be unveiled at E3 (where Square Enix has confirmed it will be making new announcements), and a playable demo of the game is also going to be released some time in the Summer.

This is all unverified information, so treat it as such, but a Souls-inspired Final Fantasy game developed by the people who made Nioh sounds like an incredibly interesting prospect. If this turns out to be accurate, it'll be worth keeping an eye on, to say the very least. With E3 not far away, we'll know soon enough one way or another, so stay tuned.

Genshin Impact Has Reportedly Been Delayed for Switch Due to its "Weaker Hardware"

Genshin Impact Update 1.4

Genshin Impact launched last year and immediately saw incredible success across PS4, PC, and mobile devices, so it was hardly ever in any doubt that the game would make its way to other platforms sooner or later as well. Recently, it launched for PS5, for instance. A Switch version has also been announced for a while now, which isn't surprising, given that the platform is particularly well suited to a game like Genshin Impact, but other than the fact that it will eventually release at some point, very little is known about it. So when exactly is it coming?

Well, it seems like it may have hit some snags during development. Over on Twitter, @GenshinReport, a page that focuses on Genshin Impact leaks and rumours, recently claimed that the Switch version of the game had been internally delayed due to the "weaker hardware" of Nintendo's hybrid platform, but that it's still targeting a 2021 launch. There is a chance, however, that the game pushed back a bit more, or even that developer miHoYo ends up making it an exclusive for the rumoured Switch Pro. There have been reports in the past suggesting that the Switch Pro would have a few exclusives, for what it's worth.

This is, of course, unverified information, so take it with a grain of salt. Given how little has been said about Genshin Impact's Switch version, however, it seems feasible enough.

Watch Dogs: Legion – Title Update 4.5 Coming June 1st, Bloodline Expansion Delayed

watch dogs legion

Title Update 4.0 offered some substantial new content for Watch Dogs: Legion in both the campaign and multiplayer. Nevertheless, the development team is working hard on Title Update 4.5 which will include a new 60 FPS performance mode for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The update is out on June 1st and new details have been revealed, including support for cross-gen play on the same family of consoles.

This means that Xbox One players will be able to team up with those on Xbox Series X/S while PS4 players can group with PS5 players. Interestingly, a new Operative is also being added – Helen, the elderly, retired spy who garnered attention with the game's initial reveal. There are some delays though.

Invasion and Extraction PvP modes will now be coming in August as Ubisoft devotes more time to improving public and private matchmaking. Furthermore, Watch Dogs: Legion – Bloodline has been delayed from late June to early July. It adds Aiden Pearce from Watch Dogs and Wrench from Watch Dogs 2, offering new story missions to play through. Of course, you can also experience the base game's campaign with both DLC characters.

Stay tuned for more details on their respective abilities and traits in the coming weeks. Watch Dogs: Legion is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Google Stadia.
