PCGamesN Sunday, February 20, 2022 1:35 PM  It's only been out a few days but Total War: Warhammer 3 has the second-highest concurrent player count peak on Steam in the entire Total War RTS game series - despite the game being subject to review bombing and facing opposition from the "free" PC Game Pass release. Over four years after the release of Total War: Warhammer 2, which is still one of the best strategy games on PC, Warhammer 3 is finally here to conclude the trilogy of Total War fantasy games. It's an unusual release, certainly, as it's the first time a Total War game has launched on Steam alongside a PC Game Pass release - which, for anyone subscribed to the service, effectively means they get the game for free. Nevertheless, according to SteamDB Total War: Warhammer 3 has still done incredibly well on Steam, racking up a peak concurrent player count of 166,754 on its first day - nearly twice as many as Total War: Warhammer 2, and the second-highest in the series after 2019's Total War: Three Kingdoms with a huge 192,298 record. PCGamesN Sunday, February 20, 2022 12:42 PM  The Steam Next Fest start time has been revealed for the eagerly anticipated event that will allow people to try "hundreds" of some of the best indie games on PC - many of which may not be out for a while. Steam Next Fest February 2022 kicks off tomorrow, so it's not too far away at all. The indie event previously known as the Steam Game Festival usually pops up at least twice annually and returns this month after the highly successful Next Fest in October 2021 - which featured hundreds of demos, including the likes city builder Settlement Survival and the next game from the creators of No Man's Sky. Some of the hundreds of games available to play include Doom meets Trackmania FPS-platformer Warstride Challenges, Neon White from Donut County creator Ben Esposito, turn-based tactical roguelike Oaken, retro throwback RPG 8-Bit Adventures 2, open-world survival sandbox game Occupy Mars, and ultra-cute racing game Hamster Playground. PCGamesN Sunday, February 20, 2022 12:00 PM  Rainbow Six Siege's seventh year of seasonal content has been unveiled in full at the Six Invitational 2022, so we now know every key addition that's coming to the tactical FPS game over the next 12 months. Year 7 follows a similar format to the past couple of years of Siege content, with four new operators rather than eight, and only a couple of new maps. We already met the first new operator, Azami, during yesterday's Operation Demon Veil reveal, but now we know that Year 7 will be heading to Belgium, Singapore, and Columbia to collect the next three members of Team Rainbow. As for maps, you can expect three brand-new maps during Year 7, but one of them will only be available for the upcoming team deathmatch mode. The rest of the key content changes concern quality of life changes and gameplay reworks. Season 2 will add a shooting range where players can practice their recoil control and get a feel for their favourite weapons and optics. Ubisoft is also adding an in-match menu of operator tips to help new players learn about their character's kit and role without tabbing out. In fact, it just hit a new player count record - right before the release of Vampire Survivors patch 0.2.13 and the release of a brand new stage later this week. Vampire Survivors is an inexpensive indie game that's only been out in Steam early access for a couple of months, but it's already proving itself to be one of the best vampire games on PC. The bullet hell shooter gives the player control over their character's movement but not the shooting, so it's more about staying alive than spamming the attack button. The "gothic horror casual game" became a hit for developer Poncle very quickly, and Vampire Survivors has now it a new concurrent player count peak on Steam - 77,061, which is up by around 6,000 players from its last record from a week ago, suggesting it could go up even higher. |

However, dataminers have uncovered evidence to suggest that Epic is planning on destroying Tilted Towers once again. Tilted Towers was introduced to Fortnite in Season 2 and quickly became known as the unluckiest point-of-interest in one of the best multiplayer games on PC. It's been hit by earthquakes, meteors, a volcano, and even an attack by a homicidal purple cube. It has been replaced with futuristic and historical versions, or just buried under sand or snow. After a number of teases, the original Tilted Towers finally returned last month - but if leakers and dataminers are correct (via Fortnite News), the landmark may get hit by another Roland Emmerich-level disaster very soon. Fortnite fans such as @koooooomar have datamined that a new series of earthquakes will hit the island, thanks to the digging efforts of the Imagined Order, and multiple craters and sinkholes will appear around the map. The Steam version of FIFA 22 is running a free trial of the entire game this weekend - but it's only available for just over 24 hours at the time of writing, so go play. It's one of the best sports games on PC, and now FIFA 22 - the most recent game in the popular football franchise - is completely free-to-play on Steam. This is despite it being less than six months after the game's release - FIFA 22 came out on October 1, 2021, so it's interesting that EA is already giving it a free trial on Steam outside of its own EA Play program. EA has actually been doing a lot of free weekend trials for its games in the last few weeks. One of the best recent Star Wars games on PC, space sim Star Wars Squadrons, was made free-to-play for a weekend on Steam last month. That came out in 2020, though, and isn't nearly as popular as FIFA 22. |

The structure of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind is such that the early volumes give Giorno Giovanna and his allies a chance to establish themselves, and volume 3 of the manga is no different. Given the current situation, which involves Team Bucciarati protecting an important person, it provides more opportunities to showcase folks. In particular, the Golden Wind characters Narancia Ghirga and Leone Abbachio are highlighted. It gives a chance to see how two folks who might not have featured as prominently early on stand out. While both are notable and valuable members, sometimes they haven't stood out as much as Giorno and Bruno until now Narancia Ghirga is the more vocal of the two Golden Wind characters, which might make him the more recognizable of the two. Prior to this point in the series, there were certain hallmarks associated with him. He's one of the younger members. That youthfulness comes through in his interactions. I mean, he is the first member of the crew to start dancing the iconic scene. But JoJo's Bizarre Adventure as a whole constantly shows Stand users' strengths. Golden Wind especially so, given its mafia setting.
As for Leone Abbacchio, Golden Wind so far presented him as an intelligent person, but perhaps not the most agreeable one. His loyalty to Bruno seems clear. We've seen him stand beside and fight to protect him and the crew against pursuers in the second volume of the manga. Moody Jazz appeared before. We know what it is capable of doing. But in this third volume, we get an even better idea of who Abbacchio is and what he's willing to do. Throughout the second half of volume 3 of Golden Wind, we see many sides of Abbacchio. We get to better understand what he's willing to do for the sake of the mission. This can mean hostility toward allies or drastic sacrifices. We see him use Moody Jazz freely, even though there was hesitance about showing it in a past volume. Most importantly, we learn his backstory. His past directly influences his present, and we see how it's shaped his actions and Stand. All of this means that Hirohiko Araki's character development and pacing is still spot on as JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind continues. The focus helps in many ways. It shows exactly why Narancia Ghirga and Leone Abbacchio belong on Bucciarati's team in Golden Wind. We get to see how deadly the people around Giorno and his crew are. There are also the reminders that no Stand or Stand user should ever be underestimated. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind volume 3 is available now through Viz Media. A Crecia collaboration with Demon Slayer is on the way, and one of the prizes in its giveaway is a tissue box that looks like Nezuko's box. This is the second collaboration campaign between Demon Slayer and Crecia. It will start on February 21 and end on March 31, 2022. Winners will receive their prizes in May 2022. [Thanks, Famitsu!] A total of a hundred people will be able to obtain the Demon Slayer tissue box. According to the image, the box can fit six packs of tissue inside. You can store five of them on the bottom shelf, while the top one is where you actually take tissue paper from. An image of Nezuko is on the back of the tissue box. In addition, there are straps on the back so you can carry it around. Those who do not manage to get the Nezuko tissue box can have a second chance at obtaining a prize from the lottery. A total of 900 people can get one of five variations of reusable shopping bags. The bags can fit inside cases that either look like a Nichirin Sword or Nezuko's bamboo gag. You can get reusable bags of Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Shinobu. The Pokemon Company uploaded the full card list that will appear in the Battle Region TCG booster pack. This includes an early look at how the Hisuian starter Pokemon will appear in the Pokemon TCG. The pack will come out on February 25, 2022 and cost 260 JPY ($2.25). [Thanks, Hobby Watch!] Each of the Hisuian starter Pokemon will have two versions: a V card and a VSTAR card. The full list of cards that will appear in Battle Region are available via the Pokemon TCG website. Including the six Hisuian starters, there will be a total of 112 cards to collect from Battle Region. Hisuian Decidueye VSTAR's Somersault Feather allows players to trash up to three Energy cards and then deal 30 damage for each. Players can use its VSTAR Power on their turn and draw cards so that you have eight cards in your hand. [gallery columns="2" link="file" ids="917369,917368"] Meanwhile, Hisuian Typhlosion VSTAR's abilities can let it instantly defeat a single Pokemon in your opponent's deck. With Hollow Flame, you can apply three Damage Counters onto a benched Pokemon. Kagero Star, which you can use once per game, instantly defeats a Pokemon that has four Damage Counters on it. It uses Noelle's card art and has the calendar underneath it. Other Genshin Impact characters who have birthdays in March are Qiqi, Shenhe, and Jean. As Shenhe is the newest character in the game, we will get to see her birthday mail for the first time on March 10, 2022. Lastly, Jean's birthday is March 14, 2022. Other Genshin Impact calendar and background wallpapers include one of Thoma (January) and one of Beidou (February). The calendars also feature a character who have a birthday in that month. This means that Aloy, Xiao, and Diluc are the candidates for April. Android 21 is heading to Dragon Ball FighterZ in her lab coat this week. The character will be available starting February 24, 2022, as a standalone DLC fighter. Furthermore, the company uploaded a short introduction trailer showing off the new character's moves and abilities. Her official character title will be Android 21 (Lab Coat). Android 21 is technically already a playable character in Dragon Ball FighterZ, albeit in her "evil" Majin form. However, the upcoming DLC will add her pre-transformation "good" form as well. As such, the character will no longer have her iconic pink appearance or tail, and will instead wear a lab coat and glasses. Some of her move sets and abilities are similar to those used in her Majin form. For example, the trailer shows Android 21 using Connoisseur Cut. She also seems to have a Super Move similar to her Majin form's Excellent Full Course, but with a different ending animation that resembles Android 16's Hell Flash. Which means the first half of Golden Wind volume 3 is about Narancia impressing us. Li'l Bomber is a small plane. While he's going through his challenge, he's forced to fight alone. He's in a tight spot. But repeatedly, with both Li'l Bomber and without, he shows his problem-solving capabilities. He proves more observant and prepared than someone might expect. From stowing away a weapon to save for later, to considering the right target to attack, he shows an unexpected thoughtfulness. It is especially impressive given when we first meet him at the beginning of Golden Wind, we see him learning from Fugo and attempting to better himself due to not being as "book" smart as the other.
