We're coming up on the tenth anniversary of the release of 2013's Shadowrun Returns, and it's only today I learned that the game (and its two sequels) were never released on console. I just assumed they had been, at some point! That sucks, so it's wonderful to see Paradox get around to fixing that with the…

Long-awaited strategy JRPG Digimon Survive finally has a release date and it's July 29, 2022. Any other year, like the ones Survive was previously supposed to release in, that would be a perfectly reasonable date for a niche game with a cult following. But the announcement comes just a day after Nintendo…

Lost Ark Glaivier release date delayed at the last minute

The Lost Ark Glaivier release date has been delayed at the last possible minute. The new class was set to arrive as part of the April update on April 21 which, depending on where you're reading this, might already be today. The devs say they discovered some "critical issues" in final testing for patch. No new release date for the update has been provided yet.

"During final testing for the April Update our QA team found some critical issues, requiring us to delay the April update while we work to resolve them," the devs say in a forum post. "We know this comes as a disappointment, as we're excited for both South Vern and the Glaivier to arrive in Arkesia. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve these issues and release the April update."

This week, the devs posted a lengthy guide to the Glaivier, providing extensive details on what the new advanced class for Martial Artist can do in-game. So at least you've got something to read while you wait.

Here is a map of every Skyrim mod

You want a map showing the in-game locations of every single Skyrim mod? Look no further than Modmapper. This tool serves as both a beautiful monument to Skyrim modding and a convenient way to debug your own installs and find potential mod conflicts. Best of all, it's a website, so you don't even have to install anything to make use of it.

Modmapper is the work of dactyl (via PC Gamer). It peruses Nexus Mods daily to add every mod built for Skyrim SE into a satellite-style map of the region itself. Each mod is allocated to the cell it affects in-game, and you can see which cells have the most mods attached. There can be over a thousand mods tracked in the red hotspots, or under a dozen in the furthest outskirts of the map.

You can upload your own mod list to personalise the map for what you have installed, which also lets you double check which cells are affected to resolve potential mod conflicts. Those mods don't even have to be uploaded to the Nexus for the mapping tool to recognise them.

Phoenix Point will get official mod support this summer

The recent Kaos Engines expansion was the final piece of add-on DLC for XCOM-style strategy game Phoenix Point, but it didn't mark the end of the line for new features and updates. Snapshot Games says Steam players can expect official mod support to arrive this summer, along with official Steam Workshop integration.

Modding is already possible in Phoenix Point - there's a hub over on Nexus Mods that's got some good ones, in fact. However, modders will have a lot more power to change and add to the game with official tools in hand, which means both the selection and scope of what's available should grow significantly once they're released.

"We will share more details about how mods will work in the future, but we wanted to congratulate the modding community for the work they've already done and look forward to seeing what other mod creators will do when the official support is released," Snapshot writes in a recent update. The developers even highlight the Better Classes mod by the Phoenix Rising Team, which reworks and tweaks the skill trees for all seven Phoenix Point classes.

     WoW: Dragonflight story won't be

The WoW: Dragonflight story aims to be a return to the more traditional types of adventures that brought players into World of Warcraft in the first place. That was the message in yesterday's expansion reveal, and game director Ion Hazzikostas has given a bit more detail on what that means. In short, the WoW universe is still full of cosmic threats - you should just expect them to take a backseat in the MMO's story for now.

"Part of the challenge of going to a place like the Shadowlands is the high concept nature of it," Hazzikostas tells us during a roundtable interview. "Cosmic forces have always been part of the Warcraft universe - there have always been titans in a pantheon, cosmological forces at play, and light versus void.

"For many players, though, what drew them into World of Warcraft and what kept them there is going through Elwynn Forest and dealing with Gnolls that are marauding there. You know, facing Onyxia, dragons, and core high fantasy concepts. That's, without question, what we are aiming to return to with Dragonflight."

Hunt: Showdown update 1.8.1 will add armed zombies

Hunt: Showdown is a PvPvE multiplayer game, which means there are AI-controlled enemies scattered around the bayou where you're tracking down rival bounty hunters. For the most part, though, these NPC enemies aren't serious threats - see a zombie, and you take it out with a couple quick knife stabs or brass knuckle strikes. However, when Hunt: Showdown's update 1.8.1 arrives, you'll have to approach these undead shamblers a bit more carefully.

The next major update for Hunt: Showdown will include armed versions of the grunt zombies that amble around the haunted bayou. There are a couple variants: they can be holding either a rusted pistol or a lantern, which can be either lighted or unlit. In both cases, you'll need to approach with caution - not so much because they're significantly more threatening themselves, but because of how important sound is in Hunt.

Here's the important bit: if a zombie holding a broken pistol manages to land a hit with it, the pistol will discharge a round. The bullet won't strike anything, but the report will be something every other bounty hunter on the map hears, allowing them to pinpoint your location.

Saints Row reboot customisation will be more outrageous

Designing your character and tricking out your cars are beloved features of the Saints Row series of madcap open-world games, and this year's Saints Row reboot is going to continue in that vein. In fact, developer Volition has revealed that the new Saints Row game has more options for customisation than ever before, giving you a powerful character editor, a huge range of vehicle parts, and a redecorating suite for your crew's headquarters.

In a new video, Volition shows off slices of each customisation system in Saints Row. First up is the character creator. While past games have provided plenty of options for shaping your boss, the number of selections, sliders, and accoutrements on offer in the new Saints is an impressive leap forward.

Body size and shape, facial features, tattoos and piercings are just the start - Saints Row also allows players to customise their character's skin tone, selecting from a wide range of natural tones or, if you want a more sci-fi look, a selection of intense shaders. You can run around Santo Ileso covered in chrome or sporting a wood grain look, if you want. You can even pick out your character's socks and underwear (or lack thereof).

Disgaea 6 Complete Hololive Vtuber Trailer Excludes Rushia

The Disgaea 6 Complete Hololive VTuber DLC character trailer is here, but it doesn't show Uruha Rushia. However, the official press release for the pack confirmed, "all DLC content is consistent with the previous release on Nintendo Switch." She showed up as and voiced the Succubus Ruusha.

Here's the new Disgaea 6 Complete Hololive Vtuber DLC trailer, which only features four of the five characters. It begins with Shirakami Fubuki as a Fubuking Prinny. Then there's Shiranui Flare as Torte. Torte is a Psychic. The next Vtuber to appear is Tsunomaki Watame. She's Watameh the Evil Eye. Finally, it closes out with Omaru Polka's PolPol. PolPol is a mage.

In the original Disgaea 6 Complete DLC, Uruha Rushia showed up as a Succubus named Ruusha. The original worldwide video for the DLC showed her performing Shrink Step in-game.

As a reminder, Hololive parted ways with Uruha Rushia in February 2022. After that happened, it shut down her YouTube channel and stopped distributing her merchandise.

Disgaea 6 Complete PS4, PS5, and PC on June 28, 2022. The PS4 version can be upgraded to the PS5 version for free. The new edition will include all previously released DLC for the game. It is available on the Switch version now.

Screenshot (23)Last time on Weird Wednesday, we looked at Skunny: Back to the Forest, the first platforming game created by Copysoft in 1993. The game was an ambitious mess; while practically unplayable, it still showed that 2D platformers on PC could run as fast as (if not faster than) Sonic the Hedgehog or Super Mario World. But Copysoft, a small studio in Belgium, had five other games released that very same year. After all, it's easier to sell shoddily made games before you have a reputation. Out of those games, Skunny Kart would become the most infamous of all.   A piece of Nintendo's pie Skunny Kart is a blatant knock-off of Super Mario Kart. Flat maps, blocky walls, ramps — it's got everything you'd expect. But it also had a squirrel named Skunny, sound effects stolen from The Simpsons and The Terminator, … and Satan. Satan tells you when you're going the wrong way. Honestly, Skunny Kart feels more like a prototype than a finished game. Since ...

Overwatch 2 Doomfist OrisaBlizzard is hyping players up with some new information about Doomfist and Orisa, two previously troubled characters who are now receiving top-down reworks by the Overwatch team. In the new set of reworks, we'll see Orisa rise up as the railgun juggernaut donkey we all wanted her to be. Doomfist is becoming a displacement tank, a role he deserves. (I certainly won't miss his toxic and disruptive design as a DPS hero.) These two tanks will shape up the new 5v5 gameplay that players will be subject to, as you can now only have one tank on your team. This controversial change will surely change how Overwatch plays as a whole, especially with Doomfist switching places as a full-blown tank. Imagine if you only had a Doomfist on your team as the damage sponge. Soon he'll punch you into the wall while taking much less damage, too.   Doomed to be a tank Fortunately, all the Doomfist players transitioning into a tank means you might have less trouble finding the important...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge 1987 Voice Cast ReturnLike many arrogant '90s kids, I grew up on the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon. What followed was a love affair I had with the slimy sewer mutants for many years, spanning video games and toys. Dotemu has shown a particular talent for tapping into the nostalgia for that era. And with the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, it's taking that even further. Shredder's Revenge, developed by Tribute Games, not only calls back to the best TMNT game, but it'll include the voice cast from that famous cartoon. The news came paired with a new 11-minute gameplay video posted by IGN earlier today. The outlet reported that the entire cartoon voice cast of the boys in green are coming to Shredder's Revenge. Cam Clarke returns as the stoic leader Leonardo, Rob Paulsen will once more voice the hot-headed Raph, Barry Gordon is back as the science-minded Donatello, and of course, we can't forget Mikey, voiced by Townsend Coleman. ...

Resident Evil 4 VR Mercenaries villageAlthough Resident Evil 4 VR impressed quite a few players back when it dropped last year, it soon became evident that not everything made it to the final product. Specifically, the arcade-like Mercenaries minigame that players could unlock in previous versions of Resident Evil 4 didn't show up in the VR version at launch. About a month later, however, fans managed to catch a trailer advertising the Mercenaries mode as an upcoming free update for the VR version . Fortunately for fans, this reworked Mercenaries mode has finally arrived today, and players who own Resident Evil 4 VR can try it out for free, as promised. Interestingly, the Mercenaries update does much more than port over the fan-favorite mode and adapt it to fit the VR version's gameplay systems. It also implements a wealth of new features, such as online leaderboards and, most impressively, 20 brand-new challenges for players to tackle. These challenges include "Wild West," which tasks players ...
