The statement was released in response to rumours that 343 would instead take a backseat on future Halo games by serving to manage external studios, rather than developing the games themselves as they had on Halo Infinite. |
Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Saturday, January 21, 2023 5:12 PM The original Granblue Fantasy was a JRPG mobile game only released in Japan, but that didn't stop enterprising westerners going to the effort to play it. That's mainly because it counted Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu and art director Hideo Minaba among its developers. Granblue Fantasy: Relink is set in the same universe and has the same Final Fantasy vets involved, but it's a big, splashly 1-4 player action RPG blockbuster, with combat reminiscent of some Platinum Games. You'll find the latest trailer below. |

Siliconera Saturday, January 21, 2023 6:00 PM Taito announced a new Final Fantasy XIV merchandise item: a lamp in the shape of a Moogle. It will be available as an arcade prize. The lamp is designed after a familiar, lovey-dovey Moogle from FFXIV, and is coming out ahead of Valentine's Day to to commemorate the holiday. It will be available in Japan in select Taito arcades starting on January 21, 2023. https://twitter.com/Taito_Toys/status/1616269751109693441 The particular Moogle this lamp is based on is none other than Kupka Kupp, a unique Moogle with a heart-shaped pon pon that appeared in FFXIV for the first time for Valentione's Day 2022 event. The part of the figure that lights up is the heart shaped pon pon. You can see some pictures of the lamp below: Similar to its real world equivalent, Valentione's Day is a yearly event that usually starts around early February and can last until early March. There are no news yet as to when this year's Valentione's Day event will start. In the meantime, players can acquire a Deluxe Stuffed Kupka Kupp plush version from the FFXIV Online Store, as a furnishing item for the in-game housing mechanic. Final Fantasy XIV is immediately available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. The latest Patch 6.3, titled "Gods Revel, Lands Tremble," released on January 10, 2023, and the patch notes are available for players to read. Siliconera Saturday, January 21, 2023 4:00 PM Now that you've sunk some time into Fire Emblem Engage, you might be wondering what classes are available. There's a lot to choose from! Some characters get access to classes just for them! Also, you need to worry about proficiencies and if you reached a certain level in a prerequisite class to access some of them! Not to mention Second Seals and Master Seals are needed to switch to an equivalent level class or promote to an advanced one! To help you out when making important decisions for your army, here are lists of the different classes available. Editor's Note: There are Fire Emblem Engage spoilers below. What are the Fire Emblem Engage Character-Exclusive Classes?First, there are some classes that are limited to specific characters. You can't make ordinary units into these. As such, I'm putting them separately here, to make the distinction. As these are just for these people, you don't need to worry about proficiency requirements to access them. The second these characters hit level 10, when applicable, they can move on up to their advanced class. Though I also really recommend maxing out at level 20 before "evolving."
Note that these characters can change to other classes. However, these classes are best for them. The lone exceptions among these character-specific classes are Seadall and Veyle. He is the only Dancer, while she is the only Fell Child. Both can reach up to level 40. There are no "advanced" version of these classes. What are the General Fire Emblem Engage Classes?Okay, here's where we get into the thick of things! To make things easier, we'll divide these up into the "base" classes and advanced classes. First, here are the Fire Emblem Engage base classes and the weapon proficiencies they require. You don't need to master any other classes in order to become them, but you will need a Second Seal to swap.
Now, with the Advanced classes things can get a bit trickier in Fire Emblem Engage. This is because You need to have reached level 10 in a certain basic class, have weapon proficiencies, and own a Master Seal. However, there are versions of these Advanced classes that have different weapon requirements. So there are Mage Knights that can only use axes and tomes, and different ones that can also use swords and tomes. What's available all comes down to the proficiencies the character possesses.
Keep in mind that these Advanced classes have specific skills tied to them, which they learn at level five. To help better illustrate the needed weapon proficiency levels, here's a gallery showing the requirements for all classes, with Alear as an example. Fire Emblem Engage is available for the Nintendo Switch. The post Here Are All the Fire Emblem Engage Classes appeared first on Siliconera. |
Siliconera Saturday, January 21, 2023 3:00 PM Yesterday was Fire Emblem day! Though really, with how many installments there are in the series, any day could be that day. Still, with Fire Emblem Engage here and more people likely discovering the series, we felt it would be a good time to revisit the best games in the series and recommend some of them to potential players. Hint: They are all pretty great! Just like the bias I have towards FFX as my first Final Fantasy, I have a very strong bias for the Tellius duology. That's Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. The characters were really fun, and even as a stupid child who couldn't read instructions (what in the world was the biorhythm mechanic all about?), I managed to clear it all through sheer grit and plenty of sacrifices. I salute all of the random characters I let die just so that my Nephenee could live. The story was kind of messy but still easy enough to follow, and they were both just a super fun experience. Like, I beat Radiant Dawn four times in the span of a year. Admittedly, I only played half of Path of Radiance because I didn't own a Gamecube, but I liked it just fine. My main gripe was the game forcing me to bring Sothe to the endgame dungeon in Radiant Dawn because he was freaking useless and outclassed by virtually everybody. So thanks, Sothe. — Stephanie I've said before that I've bounced off nearly every Fire Emblem game I've played besides Three Houses. As it turns out Three Houses was something of a black sheep compared to other games in the series, so whatever Intelligent Systems and Koei Tecmo did to depart from the formulas established in earlier titles and the Awakening era worked its magic on me. Perhaps it was the daily-life structure or the route-based narrative, or the more realistically proportioned character graphics, but Three Houses is what I think of these days when someone mentions Fire Emblem. — Josh There are certainly flaws to every Fire Emblem game, but all of them are magical and special in their own way. (Except Mystery of the Emblem. Sorry, bud.) But there's a reason that Awakening saved the franchise. The characters are endearing! There are nods to past fans, but not in a way that muscles out gameplay or story. Also, hey: it can be both approachable for new fans and punishing at higher levels, rewarding smart unit builds and creativity. — Graham
