As with any Twitch drops, all you have to do to be rewarded is watch streams, so it couldn't be easier to claim these in-game goodies. As we touched upon in our Hogwarts Legacy review, the RPG game's clothing items can be pretty drab, so any excuse to increase your Hogwarts Legacy wardrobe collection and transmog options is a welcome one - especially when that includes pointy Dragon-Eyes spectacles and the exclusive Merlin's cloak. You can grow all sorts of plants in the Hogwarts Legacy Room of Requirement, and they will yield some unique and interesting potion ingredients. As usual to you as Hogwarts Legacy spells, your potions can turn you invisible, heal you, reduce spell cooldowns, and other useful traits, so you definitely need to know how to farm the ingredients. Most codes also only work for a limited time - so it's a good idea to redeem them as soon as possible in case you miss out. Codes can only be redeemed once per account. Genshin Impact codes are released periodically, frequently appearing in Hoyoverse's special programs that reveal information about future updates coming to the free PC game soon, but also to celebrate milestones or to coincide with new Genshin Impact events. Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Monday, February 13, 2023 9:57 AM Have you ever planned to do a bunch of personally improving stuff on a Sunday morning like go for a walk down to the old pier or read 30 pages of an extremely political sci-fi book about aliens made of wool, but what you do instead is sit on the sofa playing an aggressively monetised mobile game while repeats of Modern Family run on the TV? For six hours, you do this, and eat your dinner feeling sick with unrealised potential. Match-3 games are compulsive for a reason, and I don't have beef with them as a concept. I actually like them! But I don't like that to play a match-3 game I usually have to play a mobile game that wants me to spent money on Fairy Dollars so I can buy barrels of Explosive Wand Dust, making it easier to earn stars and incrementally furnish the Magic Toilet Goblin's bedroom, or whatever. It's the empty consumerism vibe of freemium mobile games that makes me feel like I've been eating the time-spending equivalent of junk food. Spirit Swap, which has a demo out now in the form of an endless mode, isn't that. It's beautiful, difficult, customiseable, and it'll swallow you time in a good way, not a faintly unsettling one. |

In fact, for the two decades that the tabletop Warhammer bloodsport was out of print, fans worked diligently to ensure it wasn't out of mind - creating a 'living rulebook' that ran to six iterations. "Here is what may be the final edition of Blood Bowl," read the opening page of that community manual. "This is the rulebook designed to send Blood Bowl into a perpetual format. The Games Workshop is no longer interested in providing true support for this game." |

Siliconera Monday, February 13, 2023 9:30 AM Nintendo and Illumination's latest promotional clip for the Super Mario Bros Movie uses the theme song from the Super Mario Bros Super Show. The theme appears in a video embedded on the "official website" for Super Mario Bros Plumbing, the business owned by Mario and Luigi in Brooklyn, New York. Check out the video here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pu57M7cjSD4 The video takes the form of a commercial for SMB Plumbing. Replicating the beats of a self-produced local business advert, the commercial also uses, almost beat for beat, a version of the Super Mario Bros Super Show opening theme. You can check out the original version of the theme below, courtesy of YouTube channel cheesymovienight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkWYP95WbbY Starring performers Lou Albano (also known as the pro wrestler The Captain) as Mario and Danny Wells as Luigi, the Super Mario Bros Super Show aired from September through December in 1989. It was the first TV series based on the Mario Bros game series, and involved both live-action and animated segments. The live-action segments starred Albano and Wells playing their role as plumbers in Brooklyn, as well as parodying sitcoms of the era. The animated segments involved the brothers' adventures in the Mushroom Kingdom, playing alongside Princess Peach (then "Princess Toadstool"), Toad, and Bowser (then just "King Koopa"). The Super Show also featured animated segments based on The Legend of Zelda, which was the birthplace of many older fans impressions of Zelda, Link and the characters in the saga. It's where Link's "Well, excuse me, Princess!" catchphrase comes from, too. The Super Mario Bros Movie premieres on April 7, 2023. The entire run of the Super Mario Bros Super Show is available to watch on platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Tubi TV, and also via individual users' uploads on YouTube. Siliconera Monday, February 13, 2023 8:30 AM The setting of Final Fantasy VII is the fictional world of Gaia. It's more commonly referred to in the game as just "the planet". Some fans even call it "Midgar," after its most prominent single location. Once upon a time, though, FFVII was set to take place on Earth. The official FFVII Remake account dropped another bit of trivia about the game's development in a post from February 11th. The post revealed that pre-production treatments for FFVII's story initially established the narrative as taking place in New York City, in New York, USA. According to the post, the story would've been different, as well. It doesn't go into detail, but other features about the development and setting of Final Fantasy VII shed some light on what might have been. In Matt Leone's 2017 interview series about FFVII's earliest days, Tetsuya Nomura suggested that then-producer Hironobu Sakaguchi's first plot treatment for the game was set in New York, and that it involved a character named "Detective Joe" investigating a group out to destroy the city's Mako Reactors. One member of the group was a prototype for the character who would eventually become Cloud Strife. This proto-Cloud was also written to be a "Berserker" character with a "sealed" left arm. For his part, Sakaguchi said that the New York concept might have been related to another project: Parasite Eve, which did take place in New York and launched in 1998, a year after FFVII. Additionally, this early treatment for the Final Fantasy VII setting would've incorporated "a battle against a witch." This point was used to segue into a celebration of the 24th anniversary of Final Fantasy VIII. That game did end up using the fight against the powerful sorceress Edea as a major plot pivot. Final Fantasy VII is available on the PS1, PC, and PS4. Its Remake edition is available on the PS4, PS5, and PC. Matt Leone's interview series was compiled as a book, titled 500 Years Later: An Oral History of Final Fantasy VII, and published by Read Only Memory. It'll also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise .[Thanks, Dengeki Hobby!] Bandai also shared the project's key visual poster art, and a live-action trailer. [gallery size="medium" columns="1" ids="950852" link="file"] Here's the trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtCOXu6zauk The Digimon Seekers project will revolve around a novel, published weekly. It starts on April 3, 2023. It'll be available in English, Chinese, and Japanese. The Japanese audio version of the novel will be read by voice actor Miyuki Sawashiro, who voiced Mirei Mikagura in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, and Gammamon in Digimon Ghost Game. Digimon Seekers is set in the Digimon world's past, at the "dawn of digital world research." At the time, even the existence of Digimon themselves wasn't widely spread, but to human society, the AI lifeforms were considered "both a blessing and a curse." The protagonist is Eiji Nagasumi, a 19-year-old cracker who makes his living doing shady jobs in the digital world. Eiji is given a Digimon Linker, a new model of Digimon dock, and custody of Loogamon, a wolf-type Digimon with a mysterious interface on its head. The linker and Loogamon prove to be life-changing for Eiji. As he gets drawn deeper into the digital world, he becomes involved with its key power players, like the cracker-hating hacker Judge, the Digipolice cybercrime division, and the Sons of Chaos, an extremist "crack team." Bandai will also sell some new merchandise related to Digimon Seekers. A new version of the Vital Bracelet BE virtual pet will be sold via Premium Bandai in Japan. The Vital Bracelet BE looks the same as the Digimon Linker given to Eiji in the story. The Seekers set will include both a bracelet and a DIM card containing Loogamon, though the system's compatible with other Vital Bracelet BE DIM cards. Digimon Seekers begins on April 3, 2023.
