June 2, 2025: We added a brand-new Fantasy Life code to our list.

What are the Fantasy Life gift codes? Despite being a paid experience available on both PC and consoles, Fantasy Life still has the sort of code redeem screen you often see in free-to-play games. So what are some of these codes, and what free Fantasy Life items can you expect from them in the future? Let's see.

With 14 classes (or 'Lives') to level up and master, any free items you can get along the way will make a world of difference. And if you're interested in doubling up, check out the best RPGs on PC for a solo adventure, the best MMORPGs and MMOs for a multiplayer journey, or just stick to the latest Reverse 1999 codes to start something you can easily take on the go.

Looking for other Roblox TD games to try? Anime Last Stand codes continue to drop each week. What is the Slay the Spire 2 release date? Slay the Spire fans knew Mega Crit were in the kitchen cooking up something fierce after ending development on its debut game back in 2020. While there have been some small updates to fix some bugs and ensure compatibility on the Steam Deck, the original game has been complete for years.

First revealed at the Triple-I Initiative Showcase in April 2024, Slay the Spire 2 was announced to the world with a stylish animated trailer. The developers have confirmed there's a new set of slayers joining the cast, including returning favorites, Ironclad and The Silent. It's been over 1,000 years since the Spire was last open, so expect the creatures and monsters in this roguelike game to be completely different this time.

What are the new Crystal of Atlan codes? If there's one thing we've learned from the new age of gacha games, it's that new codes can be the best way to tip the scales of a limited-time pull in your favor. Miss out on a code and you might struggle to land the latest top-tier pet or piece of gear you've been waiting months for.

If Crystal of Atlan is just the next in a long line of gacha games in your daily rotation, let us help you out there, too. We always have the latest Genshin Impact codes, ZZZ codes, and HSR codes. That about covers the Hoyoverse releases, leaving Wuthering Waves codes as another worth checking out.

Fromsoftware has just dropped the latest Elden Ring Nightreign patch, and it's making runs easier for solo and co-op players alike. My main issue with Nightreign across the weekend has been in-game balance, so it's brilliant to see Fromsoftware already take aim at this problem and start to fix it with an update and maintenance. So if you're hoping for improvements, Elden Ring Nightreign patch 1.01.1 is here to answer the call.

Perhaps Civilization 7 is fundamentally broken. Firaxis can change the UI, rebalance the leaders, add new settings and game modes for multiplayer, and address the numerous other complaints players have made about the 4X sequel, but the Ages system is inextricable; it's the core of the game, and people, seemingly, just don't like it. A number of big updates have been released for Civ 7, but the prevailing sentiment, at least on Steam, is only growing more negative. With rivals like Stellaris, Ara History Untold, and Age of Empires finding various successes, Civilization 7's all-important user rating has just hit a new, inglorious low.

June 2, 2025: We added new Project Egoist codes to our list and removed expired codes.

What are the new Project Egoist codes? Welcome, you unpolished gem. It's time to head onto the pitch, lock in, and become Japan's number one striker. But to be the best, you're going to need to channel Blue Lock's top dogs, and doing so doesn't come cheap.

Mirroring the systems used in other Roblox games, getting the best playstyles in Project Egoist requires you to pull on its gacha banner. Will you accept life as pre-GOAT Isagi in the Roblox experience? Or will you stump up the big bucks for a chance of inheriting Sae or Kaiser's skills? The anime game's latest codes reward you with plenty of funds to try for the latter, so you might as well give it a spin.

The Hell is Us system requirements are finally here, but unfortunately, I'm finding it hard to get excited about them. It's all because they confirm my worst fear that developers are going to start leaning on upscaling when talking about performance. More surprisingly still is that despite upscaling, these specs are incredibly high for comparatively low performance targets.

You're going to need one of the best graphics cards to get the best out of Hell is Us, according to these specs. Even then, you can only expect 30fps at 4K with some form of upscaling. While it's no secret that gamers have adopted the likes of Nvidia DLSS as a useful tool to aid gaming performance, it should not become a crutch for developers to use when testing the game for system requirements.

You can grab an incredible deal on a Lenovo Legion Go right now at Walmart, with the price of the 512GB model slashed to just $549.99, meaning you can save $150 on a gaming handheld that still holds up well against more recent hardware.

Lenovo was quick to market with its Steam Deck rival, the Legion Go, boasting a much bigger display and more powerful AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme CPU than Valve's handheld, which made it one of the best gaming handhelds at the time. Since then, Lenovo has released two more handhelds, the Go S and Go S SteamOS edition. Both still fall short of the OG Legion Go in terms of power, and both come with relatively safe designs in comparison, making this deal all the more appetizing.

There are so many iconic interactions in League of Legends. From rival characters throwing verbal barbs at one another, to Sona's old 'adagio summoner!' that broke the fourth wall, Riot's MOBA happily leans into the fanbase's many memes. What are the best Stardew Valley mods? The mod scene for ConcernedApe's acclaimed life sim has been thriving on PC despite having no official Steam Workshop support. It begins as every Japan-set dating sim worth its salt does — with a transfer student.

It's Aya's first day at the ominously-named 'Love-Love All-Girls High School', and they're (understandably) a little nervous. Shy and socially anxious, they hope they'll manage to make a friend or two. Turns out their classmates are eager - perhaps a little too eager - to get acquainted. Aya is set upon by a stampede of besotted young women, but Aya doesn't have romance on the brain themselves. "I Just Want To Be Single!" they yell. Cue chirpy acapella theme music.

I Just Want To Be Single!!: Season One, recently released on Steam in Early Access, is a game you'd be forgiven for overlooking on a Steam Store that today is packed with visual novels from Western indie devs. A handful carry a reverence and understanding of the medium (the excellent VA-11 HALL-A, for example), but many take a mocking, ironic approach, or exist primarily to titillate, such that fans have grown wary. Tsundere Studio's debut, I Just Want To Be Single!! stands out from this crowd.

Billed as 'aromantic, asexual, and nonbinary', I Just Want To Be Single!!'s player protagonist, Aya, is a reflection of its mononymous lead developer 'm.'. "I'm still figuring things out about myself and this game is an extension of that," m. tells me over Discord. "The story in this game is largely about finding yourself and who you want to become."

We might rightly judge Batman Arkham-style combat by how cool the counters make you feel, what with the core of it melting into second-nature rhythmic meditation that renders you basically unkillable after a few minutes of practice. You will win the fight. This is guaranteed. The combat is designed to make you win. Usually the second tutorial prompt is "here's the button that makes you win. Don't worry if you don't know when to press it. We'll tell you".

Likewise, you will win the fights in Dead As Disco's Steam demo. Maybe the action after the demo gets harder. I dare not predict the future. But this is not the important part. The important part is that you will feel very cool as you easily win. You can hold down a button to beat your enemies with a glowstick that hits about three times to every beat in the music. It feels like doing violence with a turbo maraca made of steel and also filled with steel balls. You can also import your own music, so maybe this doesn't exactly line up with, say, Meshuggah's Bleed. But it certainly lines up with Michael Sembello's She's A Maniac. Here's a trailer.

Nintendo Switch 2 Direct image

It's finally time for a brand new console release with the Nintendo Switch 2 launching on June 5 worldwide (for those who were able to get a pre-order) alongside several games, including Mario Kart World, Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4.

I am excited. Not only to play all these new games on a brand new system, but also to see how old Switch 1 games fare when they get a Switch 2 patch, such as Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Maybe I'll finally be able to shiny hunt Pokémon without frames dropping every second...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itpcsQQvgAQ&ab_channel=NintendoofAmerica

I know I've been talking about the Switch 2 to death over the past few weeks, but it's hard not to when it's a brand-new Nintendo console launching with a killer (even if expensive) first-party title and then the lineup afterwards being stellar. This year alone, we have Donkey Kong Bananza, Metroid Prime 4, Pokémon Legends Z-A, a new Hyrule Warriors game, and a new Kirby Air Ride sequel, all to look forward to before 2026 even comes about.

So I have to wonder, Destructoid faithful, if you plan to get the Nintendo Switch 2 this week? oO if you are planning to hold off a bit for some kind of price cut, second updated system, or whatever reason you can't get one straight away. I know pre-orders have been painful to find in some places after all, and not everyone can afford a new system on launch, especially a few months after its initial reveal.

Let me know in the comments below, and maybe I might see you online as I'll definitely be playing a lot of Mario Kart World's various new modes over the weekend. I am curious if there will be any type of ranked mode this time, though, for certain modes rather than the points system they had for Mario Kart 8.

The post Switch 2 launches this week. Are you getting it? appeared first on Destructoid.

Elden Ring Nightreign

The Remembrance questline for the Ironeye class can be confusing in Elden Ring Nightreign, but this guide will help you complete all the missions easily.

Remembrance quests are available for every class in the game, and they unlock unique rewards. Let's take a look at the full set of quests and how to complete them for the Ironeye class.

Elden Ring Nightreign Ironeye Remembrance Quest guide

There are three key checkpoints to clear if you want to complete the Remembrance quests for Ironeye.

  • Unlock the Remembrances.
  • Obtain three Memory Fragments
  • Defeat a set of random and targeted Nightlords

The first task is pretty easy, as you'll need to unlock the Ironeye class after completing the tutorial. Then, run an Expedition with the same class to get your first Memory Fragment. This will unlock the class-specific journal entry and allow you to proceed with the Remembrance quests.

The next part is to obtain the three Memory Fragments. To complete this part, run Expeditions with the Ironeye class and try to complete them successfully. A failed run doesn't guarantee you a Memory Fragment, so it makes sense to complete it. As you gain the Memory Fragments, you'll unlock Chapters 2-3 on the journal.

Traitor's Letter in Elden Ring Nightreign
Screenshot via FromSoftware

Chapter 4 brings you close to encountering the Night Huntsman, which is incidentally the first Remembrance quest. Once you manage to take down this boss, you'll get the Traitor's Letter. Go back to the Roundtable Hold and deliver the Letter to the Priestess. Next, go to the library where the Recluse is located. Take the door to the north, and you will come across the marker to end the sequence. Completing this will reward you with the second Memory Fragment.

Chapter 5 is slightly tricky to complete as you'll have to run an Expedition and defeat any four Nightlords. Doing so will unlock the second Remembrance quest, where you'll need to defeat the Darkdrift Knight. If you have followed all the instructions till the start of Chapter 5 and defeated the four Nightlords, it will unlock the 6th chapter.

Start a fresh Expedition and hunt down the Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow. Go back to the cistern area in the flashback Roundtable Hold, and head down the open door. Defeating Fulghor will also grant you the Edge of Order quest item. Take this item, return it to Roundtable Hold, and go to the crypt. You'll have to interact and comply with the available options to complete the quest.

At this point, you'll receive a relic version of Edge of Order and a journal for Chapter 7. Once we have cleared more parts, we will update you on what happens beyond Chapter 7. Here's a rundown of how you'll progress to complete the Remembrance Quests for Ironeye.

  • Chapter 1: Run any Expedition with Ironeye.
  • Chapter 2: Run Expeditions and try to collect Memory Fragments to unlock the next chapters.
  • Chapter 3: Defeat a Nightlord and ensure that you have the required Memory Fragments to unlock the next one.
  • Chapter 4: Defeat the Night Huntsman. Deliver the Traitor's Letter to the Priestess. This will complete the first Remembrance Quest.
  • Chapter 5: Defeat four Nightlords on an Expedition to collect a Memory Fragment that unlocks Chapter 6.
  • Chapter 6: Defeat Fulghor to obtain the Edge of Order and return it to the Priestess at the Hold.

Looking at the Giant Sapsucker next to a Adamance tree

Lethal Company's Giant Sapsucker has several mouths to feed and you may just be on the menu if you decide to bravely infiltrate her nest.

Added to v70, the Giant Sapsucker is only a threat if you wander in on her territory. If you're feeling like luck is on your side or want a proper challenge during your scrap runs, then here is how to deal with the Giant Sapsucker in Lethal Company.

Where to find the Giant Sapsucker in Lethal Company

The Giant Sapsucker is a seven-foot tall Woodpecker that's incredibly territorial. A single threat that's predominately found on Adamance, the Giant Sapsucker will spawn near or on its nest. So far, I have only spotted this monster on the dense forest of Adamance, but assume she can also spawn on Vow and March. More often than not, the Sapsucker will spawn alongside Tulip Snakes and the occasional Baboon Hawk tribe.

What does the Giant Sapsucker do?

The Giant Sapsucker either sits on her nest, protecting the three eggs laying inside. This nest always appears on the other side of the rickety bridge that breaks from standing on it for too long, or be carrying too much weight over it. This is east from the Main Entrance on Adamance.

She has two main behavioral patterns: Sit on the nest and wander in close proximity to it or go to a tree to peck into it before returning to her eggs. The Sapsucker will turn her head away from you so that her eye can watch your movement. If you start to get too close, she'll charge towards you in a threatening manner to scare you away. This isn't her attack however.

If you continue to pressure her, she will assume you're going for the nest and turn her head to let out a scream, flailing her tongue around. The Sapsucker will then charge at an alarming rate, pecking you repeatedly. It appears to be impossible to dodge or outrun this attack and even harder to take this monster out with a Shovel. She will retaliate with her peck attack if you smack her when she's watching you in defence mode. Taking Sapsucker on by yourself will undoubtedly conclude with your body being fed to her children.

How to handle the Giant Sapsucker

The most obvious thing to do is completely ignore her. She isn't dangerous to you so long as you leave her and her nest alone. This monster won't harm you unless you provoke her. You can get within close range of her and carefully crouch-walk to the nest so long as her eye isn't looking your way. The Sapsucker has excellent vision. I tried to get the Baboon Hawk to threaten and attack the Sapsucker who was protecting her nest at the time, but that didn't work.

There is absolutely no reason to aggravate this monster unless you're planning on stealing her eggs. If you decide to do it anyway then I pray for your safe return. Egg price ranges from 30 to 60 per egg. You can only carry one egg at a time. All remaining inventory slots will fill with one egg in-hand, just like carrying a heavy item or the Maneater. You cannot pick up an egg if the Sapsucker is nearby, alive and well. We've successfully (albeit briefly) taken two eggs, but getting to the Dropship has proven to be an impossible task. Stealing a single egg with the Sapsucker alive requires teammates.

We've found using a Stun Grenade against the Sapsucker and having TZP-Inhalant on-hand to retreat to the ship works best here. Otherwise, you have to kill the Sapsucker to effectively steal her babies to avoid the risk of her coming back for vengeance (outrageous advice). She will notice an egg is missing and immediately go on the offense with her wood-pecking attack. What's worse is that dropping the egg or holding onto it for more than five seconds will result in the baby hatching and squealing for its mother. Therefore, it's recommended to only attempt stealing from the nest at the end of a round, specifically when you're planning to go back into orbit.

Loud, messy, and full of dakka, Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks brings Orky mayhem to combat racing. It's rough around the edges and might not keep a crowd for long, but there's fun to be had if you're up for some WAAAGH-fuelled chaos on wheels.

After Rune Factory 5, which was a bit of a rough transition for the series as it made the jump to 3D, I was a little unsure if they would be able to stick the landing on the second attempt. I am happy to report that Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma might be my favorite […]
