PCGamesN Tuesday, June 3, 2025 1:00 PM To me, co-op is what turns Stardew Valley into a truly phenomenal game. The farming sim is already brilliant without it, but the ability to easily play with friends makes any game better. The mixture of working together, chaos, and occasional bits of trickery always elevates the experience, and the delightful Mirthwood is no exception. This farming and life sim has been going from strength to strength since it launched, and the new announcement of a Mirthwood co-op update means it's only going to get better. PCGamesN Tuesday, June 3, 2025 12:24 PM When is Chaos Shuffle back in DBD? While our vanilla live-service games still have us coming back time and again, there's nothing like a good limited-time modifier to stop things getting stale. When it comes to Dead by Daylight, one of the best modes for shaking things up is Chaos Shuffle, which places you into each match with a loadout of completely random perks. Dead by Daylight perks are among the best things to give you the edge in the multiplayer game, and choosing just the rights ones - whether you play as a DBD killer or survivor - can turn the game around. Some perks have great synergy with others, some help you survive or kill, and others can improve or impede teamwork. It's usually essential that you plan your perfect loadout, so going into a match with completely random perks can have a devastating impact. That's what Chaos Shuffle is all about, and we can't wait for it to return. Continue reading When is DBD Chaos Shuffle back next? CD Projekt Red initially confirmed the existence of a new game in The Witcher series via a press release in March 2022 and a title update in October 2022. PCGamesN Tuesday, June 3, 2025 11:08 AM It might be ridiculously expensive, but let's face it, we'd all love an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 if we could have one for free, and you might be able to do just that if you enter this new GPU competition. You only need to look at our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 review to see why this top-end GPU is the best graphics card for gaming right now. With 32GB of VRAM and a monstrously powerful GPU, this Nvidia card puts the performance of every other current-gen GPU to shame – there's just one problem, and that's the cost. PCGamesN Tuesday, June 3, 2025 11:00 AM In the history of horror games - beginning with Haunted House and Monster Maze, going right up to Dying Light The Beast and Silent Hill F - Resident Evil 4 marks an inflection point. I'll personally maintain that RE was an action game right from the beginning, as far back as 1996. But Resident Evil 4 undoubtedly tipped the scale. Survival horror was joined by a new subgenre: action horror. Superficially, they might seem mutually exclusive. If survival horror games like Silent Hill and classic RE are built around a fixed camera, a limited inventory, and a short supply of bullets, action horror, a la Dead Space and Dying Light, is the quick-paced, spectacular spiritual opposite. And yet Holstin, one of the most wishlisted upcoming horror games on Steam right now, manages to marry the two disciplines. PCGamesN Tuesday, June 3, 2025 10:14 AM A new Intel document leak has surfaced, which appears to confirm that a new Intel gaming CPU is in the works with 12 P-Cores and no E-Cores. As it's the P-Cores (where the P stands for "performance") that are the most important ones for gaming when it comes to Intel CPUs, that would potentially make this new Intel CPU an even stronger gaming chip than the mighty Core i9 14900K. The latter CPU only has eight P-Cores, with 16 lower-power E-Cores (where E stands for "efficiency") pushing up the total to 24. However, it's the eight P-Cores that make the Core i9 14900K the company's best gaming CPU, especially with their sky-high turbo clock speed of up to 6GHz. As such, while this new Intel CPU appears to only have 12 cores, it looks like it could be a much better option for gaming than Intel's chips with many cores, assuming the clock speed is high enough. PCGamesN Tuesday, June 3, 2025 7:31 AM AMD might have garnered a load of positive press for its latest graphics cards, but PC gamers are roundly rejecting them, according to the data in the latest Steam Hardware Survey. In fact, not a single AMD Radeon RX 9070 GPU appears on the latest survey, nearly three months after their early March release, while even the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti has already made its first appearance. It undoubtedly doesn't help that the prices of the latest AMD GPUs bear little relation to the MSRPs originally quoted by the company when they were released. With its $599 MSRP, our AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT review was wholly positive for the huge performance on offer, making it the best GPU in its price sector. Taito announced its latest piece of Final Fantasy XIV merchandise heading to arcades in Japan, and it is a squishy squeeze toy based on the Cornservant from FFXIV Dawntrail. It will show up on June 28, 2025.
The Cornservant squeeze toy is a squishy toy that, when squeezed, causes the ear of Turali Corn to pop out of the husk body. It looks exactly like the character from the MMORPG. It will sit at about three and a half inches tall (nine cm) and be able to be displayed when not being squeezed.
Here's a closer look at the character, as well as what it looks like when someone squeezes it.

The Final Fantasy XIV Cornservant NPC is part of a whole storyline of its own that kicked off in the FFXIV Dawntrail questline that started with "Corn of Necessity." During them, our Warriors of Light accompany the Curious Corn NPC, then go around talking to hungry individuals. As part of it, we can eventually earn a Cornservant Minion for finishing "Tasteful Memories."
This comes after another Final Fantasy XIV merchandise selection from Taito based on FFXIV Dawntrail characters. In May 2025, plush keychains based on the Outrunner appeared.
Final Fantasy XIV and the FFXIV Dawntrail expansion are available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

It will air at 5am PT/8am ET/2pm CET. This is expected to be one of the last 5.0 series updates before we head to Snezhnaya with the 6.0 updates.
The new Genshin Impact teaser image features the male version of the Traveler, Aether, alongside Dainsleif as his sibling Lumine appears tearing through the darkness. Since Aether is used as the default protagonist for this imagery, Lumine could replace that in a player's story. As the storyline with all three of these characters appears during the interludes that come after the main storyline of a region concludes and leads into a new one, that's likely what is happening here. For example, the "Caribert" act showed up as a break between Sumeru and Fontaine, and "Bedtime Story" came between Fontaine and Natlan.
We know the two characters who will appear in 5.7 and be a big part of this Special Program. Skirk and Dahlia will both appear. Skirk is the five-star unit who is tied to Childe, as she helped train him when he fell into the Abyss. Meanwhile, Dahlia is a new Mondstadt character.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Special Program for 5.7 airs at 5am PT/8am ET/2pm CET on June 6, 2025.

There could be Hollow Knight: Silksong news soon, data regarding the PC version of the game changed on the Steam DB website. Two pages shows adjustments appeared on June 3, 2025, with a ChangeNumber adjustment and two depot additions. The actual product page on the storefront appears unchanged. [Thanks, CommodoreKong on Resetera!]
This is a substantial amount of action on the Steam DB pages that track Steam backend changes and updates for the PC version of Hollow Knight: Silksong. The one listing featured Changelist #29337185, Changelist #29337189, and Changelist #29337309. That involved it shifting from ChangeNumber 24965705 to 29337185, then 29337185 to 29337189, and finally that to 29337309. The depots 1030301, 1030302, and 1030303 also all appeared. The second only featured a ChangeNumber alteration from 22736671 to 29339689.
There'd been quite a gap since there were any changes to the Steam files. One noted the ChangeNumber went from 22736671 to 24965705 back in August 2024. That was 10 months ago. The second listing hadn't changed since March 2024, as the ChangeNumber went from 5782401 to 22736671. That was 15 months ago.
We do know the game is on the way soon. It will be a part of a museum exhibit at ACMI Game Worlds in September 2025. It also apparently has a 2025 release window following multiple delays.
Hollow Knight: Silksong will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC via Steam in 2025, and it will be featured at the ACMI in Melbourne, Australia, between September 18, 2025 and February 8, 2026.

As it is what used to be E3 month, companies are beginning to announce updates and showcases. Sony revealed its PlayStation State of Play showcase will go over new PS5 games on June 4, 2025. It will take place at 2pm PT/5pm ET/11pm CET, and we'll be able to watch it on Twitch and YouTube.
These announcements are always incredibly vague. We don't get to know any of the titles that will appear ahead of time. However, Sony did let us know how long the June 2025 State of Play will be. This one lasts over 40 minutes. It will also only be in English. People can co-stream it, but copyrighted music could end up being an issue for folks who do so.
There are a few games almost guaranteed to appear. Ghost of Yotei and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater should show up. Death Stranding 2 is out this month, so there could be a new trailer. Hell is Us is on the way too. We're expecting more Little Nightmares 3 and Ninja Gaiden 4 news.
We always get to see an array of PS5 games and sometimes PSVR 2 titles during these showcases, and there are often entirely new reveals during the June ones. During the June 2024 installment, we saw Astro Bot, Concord, Dynasty Warriors Origins, Infinity Nikki, Monster Hunter Wilds, Where Winds Meet, Path of Exile 2, Silent Hill 2 remake, and the Until Dawn remake.
Sony's PlayStation State of Play will appear at 2pm PT/5pm ET/11pm CET on June 4, 2025 and cover new PS5 games.

The notable thing about the Death end re;Quest series of games is how easy it is to meet bad ends. Gruesomely. Repeatedly. Even if you think you're maybe doing the right thing. It's gory, to be certain, though it can make actually getting a character ending or the true one even more satisfying. Death end re;Quest: Code Z is a spin-off roguelike that… well, falters along the way. (It's fine, I'd say it is not the best roguelike or representation of this series.) What I will say though is that it absolutely takes advantage of the Death End mechanic from the series and nature of the genre to attempt to do something different with the genre, though the violent nature and reliance on knowledge of the series and its characters both might dissuade many from playing.
So ideally, you'd think maybe Death end re;Quest: Code Z would be more accessible since it involves parallel universes, however it does still include the sorts of references and asides that might make for some barriers. Sayaka Hiwatari is a debugger on the game End to Odyssey with Shina Ninomiya, and she encounters something insidious while on the job. This means needing to head into the Strain Area dungeon and save or fight folks like Shina, Yurisa Yamamura, and Lucil Filarete. So you must stay alive and sane while searching for them, then getting out together while figuring out what Arata Mizunashi, another familiar face, is after.
Except since this is both Death end re;Quest, getting those bad endings in Death end re;Quest: Code Z is something we want to get, rather than avoid like we would in most roguelikes. This is because while on any difficulty other than Normal you lose what's in your inventory and your levels, dying ends up being a way to make progress. Each death gets you a skill point if it is the first time you died that way. Which means keeping Sayaka's sanity high enough to not affect her health and instead try and have an enemy, trap, or boss kill her is to your benefit. It's an interesting concept, and perhaps one of the few things I found really unique about this spin-off.
It also feels like the Death Ends in Death end re;Quest: Code Z are designed to be a selling point due to the execution. These are handled in the same way as the mainline installments. So there will be unique descriptions explaining what happened. It becomes a "moment." Someone who really loves the series for that reason might even find themselves searching for Death Ends repeatedly for completionist purposes.
While I wish Death end re;Quest: Code Z was more fun to play or perhaps more welcoming to newcomers, I do appreciate the way it embraces and uses the Death End bad endings mechanic. This is a series in which it could be quite easy for characters to die. Dying happens a lot in roguelikes. Attempting to make a death in a roguelike less painful by tying it to the unique endings and character growth makes sense. The execution isn't the best, but I can see what Compile Heart and Idea Factory were trying.
Death end re;Quest: Code Z is available for the PS4 and PS5, and it will come to the PC via Steam later in 2025.

Phasmophobia has a massive summer update with lots of fresh features to delve into. The Chronicle update is fundamentally changing how the game works, so reviewing the patch notes to learn about it is a great way to ensure you know everything it entails.
The ghost hunting game doesn't see new updates super often, but when they do arrive, they're always packed with lots of exciting additions to delve into. If you're eager to start exploring this one as soon as possible, here are the early patch notes for all features coming in Phasmophobia's Chronicle update.
Table of contents
Phasmophobia Chronicle update patch notes
![]()
The Chronicle update for Phasmophobia includes one new piece of equipment and quite a few gameplay system reworks. We'll likely learn more about this update as it gets closer, but for now, here are the early patch notes for everything included in the Chronicle update.
Sound Recorder
The biggest addition in the Chronicle update is the arrival of the Sound Recorder, a fresh new piece of equipment. Like all equipment, this item comes in three Tiers, with each one progressively becoming easier to use and better for capturing evidence.
Using this item, you can capture and record audio evidence for the journal. This includes Spirit Box responses, ghost event sounds, noises emitted through the Parabolic Microphone, and just about any other types of audio you may hear during an investigation.
![]()
Journal overhaul
To complement the evidence gathered using the Sound Recorder, the journal is being reworked. Instead of a photos tab, it features a more general media section that can be used to collect audio, video, and photographic evidence.
Reworked evidence collection system
The evidence collection system is finally getting a much-needed overhaul to properly reward all ghost hunters for their hard-earned documentation of the supernatural. The first evidence captured of any type of media will be labeled as unique.
Unique evidence grants bonus cash and XP at the end of each match. Evidence deemed to be duplicates, which means you already captured it, grants smaller but still decent prizes. Every snap, sound, and sight is designed to be as rewarding as possible.
Evidence tagging is being improved in this update, too, which hopefully means our ghost photos should finally be recognized as what they actually are instead of some random item in front of the ghost, like Salt.
![]()
Updated leveling and progression
The leveling and progression systems are being reworked in Chronicle. No details as to what this entails have been shared so far, so we'll likely learn more about it as it gets closer.
New main menu
A refreshed main menu UI is another key feature in this update. There's nothing known about this one yet either, so it's likely another feature the devs are waiting to unveil.
Mystery features
In the blog announcing the Chronicle update from May 29, the devs teased that there are plenty of other mystery features included in the update. Alongside this teaser, they posted an image of the truck, and it seems like the computer is being reworked, and that it also might allow us to watch multiple feeds at once. There's likely even more in store that we won't know until the update is closer.
![]()
When is the Chronicle update for Phasmophobia?
The Chronicle update for Phasmophobia launches on June 24. All of the features listed here and more that haven't been revealed yet will be available to start exploring as soon as the update is live.
Although the official blog for the Chronicle update also mentions a rework for the Grafton Farmhouse map, it's not launching as part of this update. Instead, it's planned for later in the year.
As far as we know, there are no new maps or map updates included in the Chronicle update, although most maps are set to eventually receive a rework according to the official Phasmophobia Trello. We've also got Horror 2.0, the biggest Phasmophobia update yet, to look forward to.

Marvel Rivals has lots of achievements you can tackle if you're seeking a way to unlock some special rewards. These tasks tend to be pretty vague and unclear, though, as is the case with the Days of Future Past achievement.
Most of them are fairly easy to get done once you solve what's being asked of you. Knowing exactly what you need to get done is crucial, though, since you don't want to waste any more time than you have to during battle. If you're struggling to get this achievement done, here's how to complete Days of Future Past in Marvel Rivals.
Table of contents
How to get Days of Future Past achievement in Marvel Rivals
![]()
To obtain the Days of Future Past achievement in Marvel Rivals, you need to erase Ultron's existence from the timeline in Arrako. This is one of the many different kinds of victories you can achieve while playing on this map, but it requires a specific kind of win. It's one of the tougher triumphs to get.
You must be playing in Quick Match or Competitive to finish this task. Progress isn't counted in any other mode, so be sure to choose one of these two options to get it done. It's generally best to tackle achievements in Quick Match since the stakes are a lot higher in Competitive. You can easily run off to tackle achievements in Quick Match without being a massive liability, but in Competitive, doing so could result in you falling a rank.
Erase Ultron's existence from the timeline in Arrako in Marvel Rivals
You can erase Ultron's existence from the timeline in Arrako by defending the convoy point until the timer reaches zero. Your goal is to stop the Avatar of Krakoa and the team pushing with them from reaching the end of the map. The term "defending" might lead you to think your goal is to protect and help the Avatar of Krakoa, but you're really trying to stop them from getting anywhere.
The first step for completing this quest is to be randomly chosen as a member of the defense team on Arrakko. There's no way to choose which side you get, so luck plays a large role in how easy or difficult this aspect is.
![]()
It can be tricky to determine whether or not you're on the right team. If you see the "Stop Krakoa and Arakko from becoming Okkara" and "Stop the Avatar of Krakoa from reaching the Great Ring" messages in the top left corner, you're on the right side. It also says "defend" on the Avatar of Krakoa whenever you look at the convoy, and you want to see the convoy rolling back rather than moving forward.
Once you're on the right side, you need to work closely with your team to ensure the Avatar of Krakoa doesn't reach the end of the map. The only way you can unlock the Days of Future Past achievement is by ensuring you stop them.
You'll know you've unlocked this achievement if you see the victory screen where Doom 2099 emerges from the Avatar of Krakoa to eliminate Ultron. As soon as the round ends, the achievement is complete.
There are plenty of other achievements to get done if you're hoping to make more progress, like Arrako Goes Analog, Mutant and Proud!, and Whispers in Pieces.

2025's massive month of gaming news, ahead of Summer Game Fest and other presentations like it, began in earnest today with Epic Games' State of Unreal event, and it brought the big guns.
CD Projekt Red was on hand to show off some footage of The Witcher 4, and dang, it's looking pretty unreal. Devs took the stage to show off what was basically a playable tech demo, but it's enough to get real excited about.
![]()
The tech in Unreal Engine 5 enables the game's visuals, including everything from real-time musculature underneath the skin of Ciri's horse, Kelpi, to a lush forest, and dozens of NPCs all living and reacting to Ciri and the world around them.
But here's the kicker: the devs on stage claimed that the footage shown was running on a base PS5 model at 60 FPS, with ray tracing. Yeah, if true, that's unbelievably impressive based on the fidelity of what was shown. It's kind of hard to believe, but for now, we have to take them at their word.
"We started our partnership with Epic Games to push open-world game technology forward," said MichaÅ‚ Nowakowski, joint-CEO of CD Projekt Red. "To show this early look at the work we've been doing using Unreal Engine running at 60 FPS on PlayStation 5, is a significant milestone — and a testament of the great cooperation between our teams. But we're far from finished. I look forward to seeing more advancements and inspiring technology from this partnership as development of The Witcher 4 on Unreal Engine 5 continues."
If the game and others like it are capable of this sort of impressive visual fidelity and NPC activity on a base PS5, one can only wonder what's possible on a PS5 Pro or a high-end gaming PC.
The full video of the demo will be uploaded later today, but for now, you can check out some screenshots posted by CD Projekt Red on Twitter/X.

I got to try out Nintendo Switch 2's upcoming Game Chat feature at a top-secret event with other journalists in New York City last week, and I think people will be pleasantly surprised by how cool it is.
Nintendo representatives on hand told those of us on hand that we were some of the first people outside the company to see the feature in action, and after several demos of how it works, I came away impressed with both the functionality and seemingly impressive technology behind it. I especially think casual gamers will be blown away by seeing it in action.
![]()
The Switch 2 is really looking to up its social capabilities, and Game Chat is the center of it. And while I don't see the feature making dedicated chat apps like Discord irrelevant any time soon (frankly, it doesn't have to), seeing it function in real time was genuinely cool, and I'm more interested in it now than I ever thought I'd be.
At any time, players can hop into a chat (similar to a Zoom call) directly via their console and chop it up with up to 11 other friends. Using the Switch 2's built-in C button and a compatible USB-C camera (reps told us a variety of cams would work, not just the default Switch 2 one), the Game Chat can fit the webcams and shared gameplay screens of four people, with several options on how to display them all.
For example, you can have the four screens displayed exactly like in the image above, a second option shrinks them down a bit to make your gameplay bigger, and another will remove them altogether and just have an active chatter icon pop-up on the outer edges of the screen.
In practice, Game Chat was fluid and pretty seamless. Joining a chat call is quick, and changing up your own settings is quicker, like having the camera auto-focus on just your face, removing the background from your camera and depicting you like you're in front of a green screen, or turning it off completely.
![]()
Nintendo showed us how the screen-sharing function could be helpful while playing co-op games where a buddy is elsewhere in-game and looking to find you. Using your screens, you can guide them and watch them move in real time, just like in the old days of couch co-op. We played GameCube classic The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures and utilized the cams and game screens to work together, and it was pretty fun and relatively simple to set up, further illustrating the feature's potential.
You don't even need to all be playing the same game, though, or anything at all. The potential for friends to simply hang out in a chat while playing different games is there, and one of the coolest features they showed us is how you can select a friend on-screen, inspect what game they're playing (among other settings and options, like making their screen bigger), and be taken directly to the eShop to purchase it yourself.
Game Chat will be free to all players until March 31, 2026. From then on, it will require a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Until then, it's definitely worth checking out, because it really captures the "virtual living room" feel that Nintendo told us it's going for.

The long wait for a new Mario Kart game and Nintendo console is almost at an end, and I can confirm there's good reason to be excited for both.
I got a chance to play Mario Kart World on the Nintendo Switch 2 for several hours last week with other journalists at a hands-on event in New York City, and I'm pleased to say it's indeed a Mario Kart game (because I still suck wholesale ass at it), albeit a more visually and technically impressive entry than ever before.
![]()
Once I got past the oohs and ahhs of it being my first time holding a Switch 2 (the console is gorgeous and improved across the board in handheld mode, and also glorious on a 4K TV), I settled in for some Mario Kart World games and proceeded to get my world rocked. But I enjoyed every minute of it.
On top of the standard singleplayer modes like Grand Prix and multiplayer fun where you question friendships with each lap, the new Free Roam mechanic feels like a big point of emphasis for this latest franchise entry.
All of the game's racetracks are plotted on the world map, which can be seamlessly explored in Free Roam, but also seen as you move from race to race, some of which begin with a rolling start after you choose which track to move to next. Not only that, but while you wait for friends to join or finish up the settings in a multiplayer lobby, you can drive around and explore it to find an excessive amount of discoverables.
![]()
There are question mark blocks, P-Switches to trigger missions and challenges, and drive-thru consumables called Dash Food that unlock different skins for the game's dozens upon dozens of racers. Each different Dash Food outfit unlocks a different racer of that character in their outfit, bringing the number well into triple digits. Examples I saw of different outfits for racers were Matsuri, Food Slinger, Aristocrat, Biker, Touring, and my personal favorite, Wampire (vampire) Waluigi.
On top of other challenges like driving certain distances or completing different feats, all told, the full number isn't known, but I would estimate there are hundreds of unlockable items to be found while playing the game in Free Roam and its other modes. This one should keep fans busy for quite some time.
Gameplay-wise, the biggest changes from Mario Kart 8 are the ability to perform a Charge Jump (hold R while on a straightaway) and then barrel-flip onto a rail or wall that you can grind on. All three of these are going to be crucial mechanics when it comes to getting speed boosts and outlasting friends in sweaty races.
After Free Roaming for a while, we got to play the battle royale-like Knockout Tour, which forces you to remain in the race or get eliminated. Players are knocked out in the top 20, then 16, then 12, eight, and four, before a solo winner is crowned. This is definitely going to be one of the game's more popular modes at launch.

One of my favorite moments of the day, however, was when we got to play some couch co-op using the Nintendo Switch 2 camera. When starting up a split-screen race, you can select the zone that the camera will focus on. A Nintendo rep suggested we focus on our faces, but they were fully aware that players are likely going to focus on other "random" body parts as well.
Mid-race, as one of the other players zoomed past me when I ate a red shell, an icon above their racer showed the camera's live footage in a circular icon floating above them. It was hilarious, and I can't wait to use this feature specifically with friends and family, as I'm sure it will create some silly memories.
After just a few hours of game time, I'm definitely more excited for Mario Kart World than I was initially, and that's even after I was eviscerated by a blue shell literally every time I entered first place, whether in single- or multiplayer.

And the Nintendo Switch 2, although I still think it should've been called the Super Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Super Switch, is looking like a worthwhile handheld console upgrade for exclusive games like this and others like it. It feels like the "next evolution of Nintendo Switch," as the company described.

Destructoid Tuesday, June 3, 2025 9:37 AM Palworld publisher and Tales of Kenzera dev team up for a first-person horror game, because why not?
There's no shortage of first-person psychological horror games these days, but the beginnings of this latest one sounded interesting enough to grab my attention.
Dead Take is the second game from Pocketpair Publishing, the publishing arm of Palworld dev Pocketpair, and it comes from Tales of Kenzera: ZAU dev Surgent Studios and its CEO, HBO's House of the Dragon actor Abubakar Salim. If that's a mouthful and sounds a bit weird, that's because it just might be. And that's where some of the appeal comes from.
In Dead Take, "you play as an actor who becomes uneasy when your friend won't answer the phone," and so you begin to "delve into the gilded rot of the entertainment industry and show up at the last place he was before he went quiet: a dark, opulent mansion."
The short teaser reveals very little, as you may expect from a game that relies on surprises and scares, but the descriptions given by the studio are what make it sound most interesting to me.
"Discover a side of the entertainment industry only discussed in whispers, full of cruelty and sordid gossip, memories of roles gone wrong, unsettling audition tapes, and shadowy figures with the power to make or break your career," Surgent Studios said.
"We're being secretive for a reason," said Abubakar Salim, CEO of Surgent Studios. "The subject matter of this game is delicate, and it hits close to home. When it comes out, and it won't be long until it does, I want players to think, 'I can't believe they actually did this."
This may be a case of a CEO being a hype man, but I guess I fell for it. I'm not usually a big fan of these kinds of games. But everything about Dead Take sounds quite intriguing so far, and as an actor himself, it sure sounds like this story is trying to go places that he and a few others may have a unique bit of insight into.
Dead Take is now available to wishlist on Steam, and it's set to launch sometime this year.

Dune Awakening is releasing on June 10 worldwide (early access begins on June 5), but there are some major limitations when it comes to accessibility.
There has already been a month of delay from the original launch date, and it will be released on PC. If you want to enjoy the MMO, the only option is to have a PC that meets the hardware specifications. However, there's at least some good news for console gamers if the developers are to be believed.
Will Dune Awakening be on console
Creative Director Joel Bylos was asked in an interview in 2024 about Dune Awakening's possible console launch. He has confirmed that the MMO will eventually make its way over to the consoles following the PC launch.
An exact date hasn't been confirmed or hinted at by Funcom, which makes it slightly tricky for us to report. However, there are no doubts about a console launch unless there's a radical shift in plans from the developers. Any such changes will be updated in this article so you can stay on top of the latest information. As of now, it's confirmed that the upcoming Dune MMO will be making its way to consoles.
Dune Awakening Xbox and PlayStation release date (predicted)
The only information confirmed by developers so far is a potential console version sometime in the future. A possible window is the last quarter of 2026, which is based on a Q&A attended by the developers. I would put my money on a day in either November or December of next year, but one thing is for sure: there's no confirmed date as of writing.
Conan Exiles, which is arguably one of Funcom's biggest launches to date, was released on PC and console together. However, the next-gen version came out in 2021 (understandable given the release date of current-gen consoles).
In the case of Dune Awakening, Funcom definitely has a different strategy. As confirmed in the Reddit post above, there's not much to go on right now. If you're someone who only games on consoles, the best option is to wait for a port in the future.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 allows you to test your juking capabilities against your friend by starting a 1v1 duel, although the process can be a tad tricky.
If you're playing online, there's no official way to play with your friend in a duel. However, this guide will provide you with all the info you need. First, let's check out how to duel together offline (this method tests you against the AI).
How to 1v1 offline in Battlefront 2
Compared to the online mode, it's easier to play together in the offline mode.

How to 1v1 with friends online in Battlefront 2
The online matchmaking allows you to duel with both strangers and your friends.
Sadly, there's no easy way to matchmake with your friend in Battlefront 2, which would have made our lives easier. The best way to increase the odds in your favor is by selecting the region (for you and your friend) that has empty lobbies.

To complete the entire Dreamlight Parks Fest event, you have to tackle lots of unique quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Scrooge McDuck has an array of scavenger hunt-based tasks, and one of the tougher ones to get done is Dreamlight Parks Fest: Rectangles.
Finishing this quest is essential if you want to unlock all of the unique Popcorn Buckets you can collect throughout the event. Here's how to complete Dreamlight Parks Fest: Rectangles in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Dreamlight Parks Fest: Rectangles quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
![]()
To complete Scrooge McDuck's Dreamlight Parks Fest: Rectangles quest, you need to mine a total of five rectangle-shaped Gems from around the valley while hanging out with him. There are quite a few steps to successfully completing this process, so here's a breakdown of how to get it done.
All rectangle-shaped minerals in Disney Dreamlight Valley
![]()
There are six rectangle-shaped minerals you can mine from around the valley in DDV, all of which are Gems. If you count the shiny variants of each one, which also work for this task, there are 12 in total. Here's a list of all of them and how to acquire each one.
There are some other Gems, like Onyx, that are the same shape as the ones listed here, yet don't count for the Dreamlight Parks Fest event quest. Not all rectangle-shaped minerals count, even though they should, so stick to the six listed here to progress through this task.
Items that are classified as minerals outside of DDV, like zinc and iron, also don't work for this task. Because of this, any Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Zinc, Tin, or other such items you come across while mining won't count for this duty.
Tackling this duty is crucial for progressing the Mine Time! task to unlock the Mine Cart Popcorn Bucket. Next, consider working on Squirrel!, Oh, Bother, Craftily Ever After, and A Shining Icon to acquire additional Popcorn Buckets for your collection.
