PCGamesN Monday, June 9, 2025 11:48 AM The Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 brings Philips' signature Ambiglow technology to bear on the world of OLED gaming monitors. Adding a wash of lighting behind the screen that matches the image on display, it draws you into what you're watching or playing in a truly magical way. Philips combines this feature with a QD-OLED panel that boasts effectively infinite contrast and dazzling HDR, but there are a few downsides to this display. The Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 actually slipped under our radar when it was first released, but has finally found its way into our testing labs and is still widely available. If you're a fan of the Ambiglow technology and the immersive feel it can bring, this Philips panel is going to have strong appeal and make it one of the best gaming monitors you can buy. We've put it through its paces to see just what its 34-inch, 175Hz, OLED, Ambiglow combination brings to the party. MORE FROM PCGAMESN: Best graphics card, Best gaming PC, Best SSD for gaming |

PCGamesN Monday, June 9, 2025 11:13 AM From what we've seen from Mindseye so far, it seems like a cross between Watch Dogs, Cyberpunk, and a little GTA 5, especially the weapon wheel. The debut release from Build a Rocket Boy, the studio helmed by former Rockstar, Grand Theft Auto, and Red Dead Redemption producer Leslie Benzies, Mindseye is also a spiritual offshoot from the larger-scale multiplayer game and creation platform Everywhere. What you might have heard so far is that the central Mindseye campaign is around 15 to 20 hours long. However, speaking to PCGamesN as part of Summer Game Fest, the sandbox shooter's assistant director explains that Mindseye will actually be launched with a lot more playable material. PCGamesN Monday, June 9, 2025 11:00 AM Despite the game's balance feeling pretty good, League of Legends feels like it's in a bit of a weird spot. General hype feels pretty low, gameplay itself hasn't really changed very much despite the switch over to Spirit Blossom and Ionia, and generally, things just feel a bit stale. Season 2 Act 2 is hoping to shake things up, however, with just enough nostalgia to entice OG fans back for a few games, and some new content to pad out the old. There's the return of Butcher's Bridge and a new OG Viktor skin based on his pre-rework base model for us longtime players, as well as a brand new ARAM map inspired by Spirit Blossom. There's a lot going on, so let's break it down Empyrean Pyke style. MORE FROM PCGAMESN: League of Legends ranks explained, League of Legends Mythic shop rotation, LoL tier list |

A guy who can control metal using his mind. The telepathic little girl who's actually an old woman. Living dolls. A Jigsaw-style serial killer. Insect people. First-person. Third-person. DLC. Online modes. Gold editions. Between RE7 and RE8, the fictional world of the mainline Resident Evil games has become more bloated and indecipherable than ever before. You might admire the imagination and creative liberty here, Capcom's willing to run with even the most tangential ideas, but the series that solidified survival horror as a genre has lost its identity. Ignoring crude nostalgia, there's a reason so many people like Resident Evil 2 Remake: it's simple and it's grounded. Resident Evil 9, or rather Requiem, seems more contained than Village, the nadir of the series, but there are early warning signs in that first trailer. Earlier in June 2025, Cover confirmed a Hololive Dodgers night would take place at 4:15pm PT/7:15pm ET on July 5, 2025, and now we know the Vtubers who will take part and what kind of merchandise will be available. Koseki Bijou, IRyS, and Ninomae Ina'nis are the featured performers. There will be baseball cards for each of them given away to everyone with a ticket. There will also be five kinds of merchandise and food vendors will sell items in special cups and popcorn buckets. Tickets are available through the official MLB site, and Cover noted to use the code "HOLO" when checking out.
Bijou, IRyS, and Ina'nis will all be depicted in Dodgers uniforms for the Hololive night event. Bijou looks like a pitcher, IRyS is in a pose as a batter, and Ina'nis is dressed like a catcher. Ordan created all three designs. These images are the ones on the baseball cards in a three-pack given to all attendees with tickets. There is also a chance of getting an autographed card. The three of them will hold a stream at the stadium, lead a Crowd Dance Project, and sing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the seventh inning stretch.
Here's how those cards for each of the Vtubers will look:

As for merchandise, we know how some of the items will look. Five initial types are confirmed, and they'll be at all of the Dodger Stadium gift shops. Sticker sheets with four stickers, a towel with all three Vtubers, three types of acrylic pins, three types of acrylic stands, and a lanyard with the Dodgers and Hololive logos on them will all appear. No prices were mentioned in the reveal. Concessions will feature beer and soda cups with the performers, which will be collectible. The popcorn bucket will also feature the three. However, we don't know how those will look or what other types of items could appear.
Here's a gallery showing all the teaser images for Hololive Vtuber merchandise at the event:

Nintendo, Arad Productions, and Sony Pictures started working on a The Legend of Zelda live-action movie years ago, but now we've learned it's going to be slightly delayed. The film first had a March 26, 2027 release date. Shigeru Miyamoto took to the official Japanese social media account to confirm the new debut is set for May 7, 2027. This will apply worldwide to theaters in every region.
As is common for these sort of delays, Miyamoto cited quality concerns as the reason for The Legend of Zelda live-action movie being delayed. He specifically suggested the move is to ensure an optimal performance. Here's the full statement:
We have no idea what this movie will look like yet. No cast members are confirmed. Wes Ball ended up confirmed as director back in 2023. Both Avi Arad and Shigeru Miyamoto are acting as producers.
This will be the third Nintendo movie in recent years. The Super Mario Bros Movie came out in April 2023. A sequel to that is set to arrive on April 3, 2026.
The Legend of Zelda live-action film will show up in movie theaters on May 7, 2027, now that it's been delayed out of March 2027.

Heinz Japan revealed new upside-down Kirby-branded ketchup bottles that will appear in Japan in June 2025. People residing in the country will be able to find the bottles in supermarkets and drug stores across the country at 383 yen (~$2.65) apiece. It is unknown if we might see them in Asian grocery stores worldwide as well.
This is not the first time Heinz has made Kirby crossover bottles. The Japanese branch had previously released smaller pouches with the same crossover brand in late November 2024. It also noted that the Maxim Tomatoes that appeared in the Kirby games served as an impetus for the collaboration.
The newer bottles are being designed to be storable in an upside-down position. There will be three different designs available, with one of them showing Kirby carrying a hamburger and another one featuring a Waddle Dee cameo. These bottles will also have a capacity of 460g, larger than the previous pouches that could only go up to 400g.
In the same press release, Heinz also announced that it will hold a quiz campaign on its Japanese social media account on June 16-22, 2025. 1,000 people will be able to win keychains with embroidered emblems featuring the Kirby-Heinz crossover art.
The new upside-down Kirby Heinz ketchup bottles will be available for sale in limited amounts in Japan in June 2025.

Mario Kart World feels not only influenced by entries that came before it, but what Nintendo always wanted the game to be. There are clear cues from mainline installments, in terms of course influences, modes, and vehicles. Mario Kart Tour feels equally important, given the idea of going around a whole region and the inclusion of so many character costumes. But it also feels like a type of title that highlights exactly what the company wants the Switch 2 to be, and that's a powerhouse that encourages as many people as possible to come together. After spending four days essentially dedicating my life to racing, it feels like the ideal title to welcome in a new console generation.
Mario Kart World pairs staples with innovation. The hallmarks of the series are here. Grand Prix works as usual, with a person selecting a Cup that consists of four courses played one after another at 50cc, 100cc, or 150cc. It feels very much like the base version of Mario Kart 8 at times. Some of these might feature entirely new tracks, such as the Mushroom Cup with the original Mario Bros Circuit, Crown City, Whistletop Summit, and DK Spaceport, or may consist of ones that are "inspired" by past tracks like Flower Cup with Desert Hills, Shy Guy Bazaar, Wario Stadium, and Airship Fortress. The gimmick this time around is that after a race at one course is done, you actually drive along roadways and the map to the next, with that part of the trip being a part of the experience. It's genuinely novel and I love the distinction between biomes.
This design decision means the different courses in Mario Kart World tend to feel like real-world roadways, instead of manufactured tracks designed specifically for races. This is when I first started to feel the Mario Kart Tour influences, since I always felt those tracks seemed to sometimes feel like standard streets. This doesn't mean whimsy is abandoned. There's a lot of opportunity to do fun things here! Lots of jumps are available for tricks. It's possible to drive along walls or grind along rails. Boosts appear. Item boxes and coins are plentiful. Roadsite dinners with food that provide a boost and maybe a costume are great. Plenty of secrets are strewn about as shortcuts, which can be investigated in Free Roam.
Because everything is interconnected and there's an effort to make tracks more exhaustive and expressive, that means returning courses in Mario Kart World feel incredibly different. I'd say it is more like they are "inspired" by the classic tracks than 1:1 recreations as in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Mario Circuit, Moo Moo Meadows, and Choco Mountain felt the most different to me while I went through them, while Shy Guy Bazaar and DK Pass perhaps seemed most familiar. I consider this more of a positive. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is wonderful and feels fantastic on the Switch 2, so someone in search of more traditional courses could go for that. Mario Kart World's takes on tracks is much more inventive and interesting.
![]()
My one complaint is that the only challenge I experienced in Mario Kart World stemmed from the chaos of racing alongside 24 other people in Knockout Tour. The actual courses here never felt as challenging as any I experienced in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Kart Double Dash, or other installments. I'm not asking for something as broken as Super Mario Kart. I do think the tracks here can be incredibly creative and visually stunning. They're a joy to explore in Free Roam. They just are too easy. I suppose the best example I can give is this incarnation of Rainbow Road. Typically, I might actually attempt to avoid item boxes as I race, for fear of getting a Mushroom or Golden Mushroom that will send me careening off the course. Here? There's no fear. There's no danger. That paired with Smart Steering on by default and 200cc's absence made me wonder if Nintendo put too much effort into courting a younger or amateur audience this time around.
In Knockout Tour, Mario Kart World absolutely feels like a challenge. One that console handles without any issue, which feels like a triumph given 24 people are involved. I didn't experience any lag. Matches ended up being plentiful. Loading was nonexistent. It's hectic in a way that still doesn't feel unfair. Yes, there is some rubberbanding early in a match when there are larger groups of characters. I experienced most of that when trying to get in the top 16 and 12 at the third checkpoints. But once you're in the top eight, it feels more like a standard race and, if you're lucky enough to be in the top four, it's incredible. I managed it only twice, and both times it felt like my opponents were the actual best of the best Mario Kart players.
![]()

![]()
I will say the new execution of tracks in Mario Kart World does feel like it favors every mode other than Grand Prix. The design is great for cohesive Knockout Tour rallies. It offers more to explore when evading or collecting in the Balloon Battle and Coin Runners modes. The layouts are exemplary for Free Roam.
Free Roam is the absolute best, by the way, and I feel it and Knockout Tour are the two options that really sell Mario Kart Tour and it being the poster child for the Switch 2 game everyone needs. Driving through the tracks reveals all of these hidden secrets and challenges that you wouldn't expect in each area. There are personalities, such as happening upon Nabbit and needing to chase the character down. Most importantly, it can be genuinely relaxing. I love to hop into Free Roam and drive around, exploring nooks and crannies, while listening to some music or putting on a stream or podcast in the background. It is so easy to play around with possible strategies in this mode and do recon on courses. If you're trying to get extra costumes for characters, finding a spot with Dash Food and camping out is so stress-free here.
![]()
![]()
![]()
I will say I'm a bit split on opinions when it comes to the character costumes in Mario Kart World, some of which are directly lifted from Mario Kart Tour. I do appreciate their inclusion, since discovering them is super fun and the designs are cute. However, I'm a bit disappointed too. There are a lot of costumes from the mobile game omitted, and clear favoritism is shown. Why is Peach's farmer look here, but Daisy's isn't? Why do only babies get their Sailor outfits? None of Pauline's are present, and she only gets one Aero variant. Cow doesn't get a costume, but Shy Guy does? The new Super Mario series NPC racers are a fun addition, especially ones like Cow and Dolphin, but all of the Koopalings got left behind in Mario Kart 8. Also, all vehicles are set appearances, though you can customize them with earned stickers, but we can't adjust parts like body, wheels, and glider for more personal elements.
Mario Kart World is incredible alone or with others online or offline, and it really shows off what might make Switch 2 special. It's fantastic in more traditional modes like Grand Prix and Battle or new ones such as Knockout Tour and Free Roam. It pays tribute to past games, but feels totally different and innovative in some fun ways. I do wish Grand Prix felt a bit more challenging and perhaps that Koopalings came back, but getting characters like Cow and happening upon new options with Kamek or Dash Food can be a fun surprise during a race. It feels like a must-have game for the new console, while still also leaving a place Mario Kart 8 Deluxe too.
Mario Kart World is available for the Switch 2.

On June 8, 2025, Bandai Namco shared on social media that a new Tales of remaster game will appear as Remastered Project. It will be revealed in Summer 2025. There are no clues as to which title it could be.
Here's the official announcement, which included a brief teaser video. It announced that this remaster game reveal in the Remastered Project will be another Tales of Series 30th Anniversary surprise.
We did know this would be happening. Back in August 2024, Bandai Namco announced this Remastered Project would cover more games in the series. Just like this teaser, that one didn't include any hints about which entries might be picked.
The last game in this remaster project was Tales of Graces f Remastered, which showed up in January 2025. However, before the official project had a name, Bandai Namco already started rereleasing updated versions of titles. Tales of Symphonia returned alongside its sequel Dawn of the New World in 2014. A definitive version of Tales of Vesperia showed up in 2019. There have also been remakes of some titles, such as Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Hearts R.
We'll learn more about a return of a classic Tales of game in Summer 2025.

Weapons play a big role in Heian, a Roblox game inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen, where each one comes with a unique moveset and attack pattern. Whether you're just starting or looking to improve, understanding how different weapons work can give you a real edge in battle. Some are fast and flashy, while others hit hard and cover more ground. Learning how to use them well can make the difference between winning and losing, so follow along with our Heian Weapon tier list and guide to learn more.

If you are a beginner, we recommend starting out with Uncommon or Rare weapons, as Legendary or Mythical weapons might be too hard for you to get at that point in the game. If you can get your hands on the Paladin Greatsword or the Apparition, your early game should be much easier. When you start to understand how fighting and blocking work, you can move on to better weapons, such as the Mukurozan or Split Soul Katana, which are great and are not too hard to get. For the late game, we recommend only Meta weapons, such as the Wild Hunt and Inverted Spear of Heaven.
That is all for our Heian Weapon tier list and guide. Check out our Heian Cursed Techniques Tier List and Heian Clan Tier List to find out which weapon goes best with them.

Surprise! A new Call of Duty game is coming out in 2025.
Not surprised? That's okay, nobody really is, but the fact that it's Black Ops 7 directly after Black Ops 6 is a bit surprising. This is the first consecutive release in the Black Ops series, following in the footsteps of Modern Warfare III that launched directly after Modern Warfare II a couple years back.
2025's CoD iteration will be heading into the near-future of 2035, a big departure from BO6's setting of the early 1990s, so expect some big changes when it comes to weaponry, aesthetics, setting, and more. But those aren't the only differences we can expect.
Here's everything we know so far about the latest CoD game, Black Ops 7.
Table of contents
Everything we know so far about BO7
Treyarch and Raven team up
Treyarch continues its streak of seemingly never-ending CoD development along with its duo in Raven Software. Black Ops 7 sees the two super-studios teaming up to co-lead development, along with a large number of other studios assisting in making the new title.
David Mason, BO2 sequel
![]()
The BO7 storyline will be a sequel to Black Ops 2, set in a near-future where android robots and a company called The Guild are at the forefront of the plot, teasing the events to come in Black Ops 3, which end up happening 30 years later.
"Developed as the next evolution of Black Ops, this is the first-ever consecutive release within the series, set more than 40 years after the events of Black Ops 6," Activision said. "The year is 2035 and the world is on the brink of chaos, ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare following the events of Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6. Wielding cutting-edge technology, David Mason and his team must fight back against a manipulative enemy who weaponizes fear above all else."
BO7 brings the Hollywood power as Milo Ventimiglia stars as Mason, while Kiernan Shipka will play the antagonist Emma Kagen, and Michael Rooker returns as BO2 star Mike Harper.
Co-op campaign is back in Black
A fan-favorite feature is finally back in BO7, allowing players to team up with friends to play the campaign in co-op. This used to be a franchise staple, and it's been scarce over the past few years, but it will be a welcome addition and change for those who like to squad up every chance they get.
Trippy butterfly mind tricks
![]()
In the debut trailer, we see Mason seemingly hallucinating a blue butterfly and Raul Menendez, the antagonist of BO2, who died at the end of the game in its canon ending. Someone, likely Kagen and The Guild, is playing with his mind, which has been a recurring theme throughout the Black Ops franchise.
Evolved multiplayer
While nothing has been shown for BO7 multiplayer yet (that's coming later this summer), rumors have pointed to the game using an "evolved" version of BO6's omnimovement, now including wall-running and potentially wall-diving. Other rumors suggest that BO2 maps may be included and remade for BO7, similar to how MWIII used MW2 2009's maps as a base.
Activision, thus far, has only said that players can "harness near-future weaponry in a signature multiplayer experience packed with brand-new maps."
Zombies, Zombies, Zombies
![]()
A mysterious image at the end of the debut trailer shows everyone's favorite shambling undead. Zombies mode returns in BO7, with Activision describing it as the "next twisted chapter of Round-Based Zombies in the heart of the Dark Aether."
Blackout comeback?
![]()
Another quick shot at the end of the debut trailer shows four players in wingsuits diving into what looks like Avalon, the long-rumored new battle royale map set in Europe. The wingsuits immediately evoke the imagery of the forgotten Blackout BR mode, which launched before Warzone alongside Black Ops 4.
A lot of Avalon is explorable in-game via going out of bounds on certain multiplayer maps, so it appears ready to take over as the next BR map. However, reliable leaker @TheGhostofHope has said that the tease is for the co-op campaign and that Avalon as a BR map has been scrapped and repurposed for the story mode.
Switch 2...maybe
Activision and Nintendo entered a 10-year agreement to bring CoD to the latter's platforms...but that was two years ago. And now, Switch 2 is not listed in BO7's current platforms. It's possible that it could come in the future, but for now, Nintendo gamers are still awaiting the franchise's arrival.
For now, it's only been confirmed for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and on PC, Battle.net, Steam, and Xbox PC.
This article will be updated with new information whenever it becomes available.

Daigo's corruption is attempting to take over the island, and it's up to you to stop him in Fortnite. One of the primary ways you can combat this issue is by finding and damaging both Overlord Spires and Scout Spires.
These special Spires present pretty daunting combat challenges for you to tackle. Interacting with them is essential for various quests, and they also offer some fairly solid rewards for your efforts. Here's how to find and damage Overlord Spires and Scout Spires in Fortnite.
Table of contents
Where to find Overlord Spires in Fortnite
![]()
Only one Overlord Spire appears on the island in each match, and it's marked on the map by a large white diamond-like icon surrounded by light purple mist. The precise location of the Overlord Spire varies in each round, so the only way to know where it's located is to check the map for it. The icon is easy to spot once you know what you're looking for.
The Overlord Spire lands at the location marked on the map as soon as a player enters the nearby area. It might take a few seconds to fully land on the ground, but it always appears fairly quickly.
Where to find Scout Spires in Fortnite
Around five or so Scout Spires appear in each round, and they're all marked by a small diamond-like icon on the map. This icon is a similar shape to the Overlord Spire one, but a lot smaller. These ones also spawn randomly across the island in each round, so you need to check the map to track them down.
How to damage Overlord Spires in Fortnite
Overlord Spires are the more dangerous and deadly combat trials of the two, so never approach this challenge without a solid collection of loot to back you up. Once you're ready to take it on, focus on aiming for the glowing yellow spots on the Spire. These are weak points that drain the Spires' health much more quickly.
![]()
The Overlord Spire takes damage regardless of where you shoot at it, so just keep striking it with everything you've got until the health bar is depleted. It has a few protective measures you should watch out for, though, including a deadly laser that targets you and some demon guards who spawn in and fight to protect it. Consider fighting it with friends or purchasing a hireable NPC if you need some help taking it down.
How to damage Scout Spires in Fortnite
Scout Spires can be damaged by attacking any part of them, although aiming for the face is the best way to deal lots of damage quickly. The face is a weak point, so any attacks you aim at it will drain the health bar more quickly.
All Scout Spires are essentially smaller and weaker versions of the Overlord Spire, so if you've faced the latter, taking on these ones should be no challenge at all. These trials also have a laser attack, although it's much smaller, and demon guards who will appear to defend it.
What do Overlord Spires and Scout Spires drop in Fortnite?
![]()
The loot you get from Overlord Spires and Scout Spires generally varies in each match. Here's a breakdown of what types of items you can expect to earn for your efforts.
There's plenty more to get done this season, so when you're done battling Spires, you might move on to work on acquiring the Wingshot Grappler or finding and opening the Suitcase of Patience.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3: Super's Kickstart quests are here to teach you about some new mechanics. During this season, you'll learn about Hero Ranks, superhero-themed locations, and new Sprites to make things more interesting.
At one of the season's new locations, Supernova Academy, you'll find locked lab doors containing special Hero Caches. However, opening these requires knowledge of Hero Ranks and the academy's layout. Let's dive into how to open Supernova Academy's tech lab doors in Fortnite.
Table of contents
Academy tech lab location in Fortnite
To complete Fortnite's "open locked doors in Academy Tech Labs while at Hero Rank A or above" Kickstart mission, you'll need to head to Supernova Academy and enter the southeast wing's basement. Here, you'll find several locked doors that, upon opening, will progress you through this quest as long as you're Hero Rank A or higher.
![]()
How to open Supernova Academy tech labs in Fortnite
Opening Supernova Academy's tech lab doors requires increasing your Hero Rank. Some doors only need Rank C, while others are only accessible after leveling to Rank A. A-rank doors, in particular, are required for your Power Training Kickstart quests.
You'll know what ranks you need for each door by approaching them and checking their letters. If the letter in front is green, your rank is high enough to open it. Otherwise, you'll need to venture out into the world and increase it before returning to the academy.
Once you open one of Supernova Academy's tech lab doors, you'll have access to small shops, Hero Caches, and holograms containing special gear. You can easily find epic-grade or even legendary items behind these doors, especially if you reach A-rank and open multiple.
How to increase Hero Rank in Fortnite
Hero Rank is a feature in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 that lets you open powerful Hero Caches. Here are some ways to increase your Hero Rank:
As you survive in your rounds, eliminate other players, and help Sprites return to their shrines, you'll gradually increase your Hero Rank, letting you open Hero Caches and access Supernova Academy's tech lab doors. Your rank appears at the side of your screen and resets at the end of each match.

The latest and most exciting title from the maker of several modernized retro titles is taking a swing at its first original game, and judging from my playtime with it, it may be a banger.
Publisher and dev Dotemu has done an exceptional job in "modernizing classic gameplay" with titles like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge and Streets of Rage 4, but Absolum is its first-ever original IP. And after playing the demo early ahead of its arrival during Steam Next Fest, I'm all aboard the hype train.
I must admit, I am a sucker for a classic beat 'em up. Growing up with classics like Battletoads and my personal favorite, Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage, this is definitely my sweet spot (MARVEL Cosmic Invasion from Dotemu is another one I'm greatly looking forward to this year), so I'm slightly biased.
Absolum, co-developed by Dotemu, Guard Crush Games, and Supamonks, takes that classic side-scrolling fighter gameplay and adds roguelike elements to create something very fun. And it's all wrapped in a charming, animated 2D art style. The demo features three playable characters named Galandra, Karl, and Cider, all bringing their own uniqueness to the table via personality and moveset.
During one run, I gained boons like the ability to deal burn damage and a built-up tornado-like wind debuff with my basic attack. I was also able to hire a mercenary character to assist me, so by the end of my run, I torched the boss with ease. But as is the case with roguelikes, you could get something totally different each time as you play through randomized runs to advance the story, a la Hades.
"Battle as one of three distinctly powerful warriors in Absolum while exploring an enthralling original world, where the use of magic is banished by an oppressive tyrant," its description reads. "The land's only hope for a bright future lies with a defiant band of rebels aided by a mysterious, mythical mentor's forbidden magic."
Each character has their own attack style and unlockable abilities that you gain access to with each run, of which just one is available in the demo. There's a light attack, a strong attack, an interchangeable powerful third attack, and you can sprint, dodge, and parry. It's simple but fun, and it's got me fiending for more, and I'm excited to dive back in once the game releases.
![]()
It can be played solo and in two player co-op, both online and offline, evoking the memories of days past when I had friends and could tag team awesome beat 'em up games like this with them. Absolum definitely evokes some fun, nostalgic feelings, but it feels new enough to be a different kind of exciting, as well.
Absolum is due to launch in 2025 for PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch, and the demo is available now during Steam Next Fest.

Fortnite's Super season is packed with plenty of powerful superhero loot you can find around the island. Many of these items are singular and tricky to locate, as is the case with the Wingshot Grappler.
This powerful item is required for certain quests and is a great tool to pick up whenever you have the means to acquire it. It's not easy to find, though, so you may need to know how to get the Wingshot Grappler in Fortnite.
Table of contents
Where to find the Wingshot Grappler in Fortnite
![]()
The Mythic Wingshot Grappler can be purchased from the Robin NPC in Fortnite. He hangs out inside a small gas station northeast of Demon's Domain, close to the colorful flower fields. This is the same gas station that previously had a black market underneath it in Chapter Six, season two.
It costs 600 gold bars to purchase this item from Robin. It's quite costly, and he only has one for sale in each match, so you have to stock up on gold bars and act quickly to add it to your collection. Most other weapons you can find around the island have a few different rarity variants, but there's only a singular Mythic version of this one.
Robin is also a hireable character, so there's a chance he won't be there when you arrive if another player has already chatted with him. If he's not there, you're out of luck for that match and have to wait for the next one. It's best to head to his location straight from the battle bus if you want to make sure you get the Wingshot Grappler.
You can also earn this item if you manage to find and defeat the player who claimed it before you. This method ultimately comes down to sheer luck, though, since there's no map marker to highlight their location.
![]()
How to use the Wingshot Grappler in Fortnite
The Wingshot Grappler has 20 charges and is primarily used to travel around faster. You can shoot it (just like any other weapon) to launch a grappling hook that attaches to any item in its path. You're then pulled towards it rapidly so you can swing forward in style.
How to travel distance using the Wingshot Grappler in Fortnite
To complete the travel distance using the Wingshot Grappler quest for Robin's Training, you need to traverse a total of 500 distance using this tool. This is quite a lot of distance to cover, so it might take a bit of time to get it done. You also only have a limited number of charges, so precision and careful planning are crucial for getting this one done.
To navigate through this task as efficiently as possible, try to aim for objects that are high and decently far away. Aim for tall buildings, rocks, or trees situated up high on mountains to gain distance quickly. The higher and further away the items you attach to are, the greater the distance you'll travel.

Dune Awakening, staying true to the MMO genre, offers plenty of items and vehicles to unlock, but it's important to repair all of them throughout your journey.
All items, including your vehicle, will take damage over time. Their durability will go down, and they can stop functioning without repairs. The process of repairs varies slightly depending on whether it's an item or your vehicle. You can also repair building parts, but that's done with the crafting tool. Let's first look at how to repair general items, followed by vehicles.
Table of contents
How to repair items in Dune Awakening
For repairs, you'll need a Repair Station. The blueprint has to be researched first from the Research section. To do so, complete the Maintenance quest in the Vermillius Gap Journey. Once done, you'll get the option to research and craft the Repair Station.
Place the Repair Station in your base and interact with it. Place the item you want to repair and supply the required raw materials. The process will take a little while to complete, and your items will be as good as new. The amount of resources you need will vary based on the item and its condition.
![]()
How to repair your vehicles in Dune Awakening
Whether you're using an Ornithopter or a bike, vehicles will take damage. You'll have to repair them before major journeys to prevent them from breaking down. For vehicles, you don't need a Repair Station. Instead, your Welding Tool should be more than good enough. For most vehicles, you'll need Welding Wire.
The Fabricator produces both the Welding Tool and Welding Wire. The Fabricator unlocks pretty quickly (again, research it to unlock the blueprint), and you can position it on your base. Always craft plenty of Welding Wires on your travels, as repairing vehicles can quickly empty your stock.

All around the island, there are lots of characters you can team up with or speak with to unlock special items in Fortnite Chapter Six, season three. If you know where to find them, these NPCs can offer you powerful advantages or join your team to help you seize victory.
The island is quite large, so tracking down the many characters wandering around it can be a tricky task. It's much easier if you know where to look, so here's where to find all NPCs in Fortnite Chapter Six, season three.

The Holtzman Amplifier is an important quest item in Dune Awakening if you want to complete the Scrap Mettle series of quests.
It's easy to miss, as completing this set of missions is not part of the main storyline. Instead, these side contracts will help you earn extra rewards to boost your early game progression. Let's learn how to find and use the Holtzman Amplifier on your journey in Arrakis. We begin by starting the Scrap Mettle: Wrecking Crew quest.
Dune Awakening Scrap Mettle: Wrecking Crew quest guide
Starting the Scrap Mettle: Wrecking Crew quest is pretty simple: travel to Griffin's Reach and complete the first part of the Scrap Mettle: Copper Required (self-explanatory). This will begin the Wrecking Crew quest. Next up, you'll make your way to Wreck of the Alcyon in Dune Awakening.
![]()
The exact location is shown in the screenshot above. Travel to the east of the Griffin's Reach at Hagga Basin South. It's quite a journey, so carry a lot of water. Going north through the rocky structures is the quickest way, but avoid the Sandworms (constantly moving and keeping track of the radar).
The Wreck of the Alcyon has a few Scavengers; finish them first. Then, loot all the available stuff and look for the Holtzman Amplifier. There's a chance for the enemies to respawn if you take too long, so keep that in mind.
Go to the main entrance of the location, and then go right towards the back of the ship. You'll find a room with the yellow globe hologram in it. Continue to the back wall, and you'll see a small chest. Open the chest, and you'll get the Holtzman Amplifier. Make sure to loot the other chests, as you'll find plenty of valuable items that can be used for crafting blueprints.
Using it isn't rocket science; just return to Griffin's Reach and deliver it, which automatically begins the Scrap Mettle: Fremen Fields quest.

Fortnite is all about running around the map, fighting other players, and exploring the world to discover the fun weapons available. It's hard to imagine you sitting in one spot for a long time to open a random suitcase, but here we are.
The Suitcase of Patience is the ultimate test of dedication and determination during Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3. If you manage to open it, you'll get some sweet rewards and, more importantly, the pride of knowing you accomplished such a feat.
Table of contents
Suitcase of Patience location in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3
The Suitcase of Patience is inside a small hut directly northeast of Foxy Floodgate. On your map, you'll spot Foxy Floodgate in the center of the map, a river north of it, and two trees next to the curved road. At this spot is a hut containing the Suitcase of Patience.
![]()
Upon arriving at the hut, you'll spot the suitcase inside, alongside a treasure chest and some random decorations. The hut itself doesn't have a ton of goodies or hiding spots, making this both an ideal yet still challenging task to complete.
How to open the Suitcase of Patience in Fortnite
You can open the Suitcase of Patience much like you would any other container. By interacting with it, your character will begin their treasure-opening animation. However, unlike a regular treasure chest, this one takes 10 minutes to open.
I'm not joking. It's named the Suitcase of Patience for a reason. Finding it's already tough, but staying alive long enough to unlock it poses the real challenge. You need 10 uninterrupted minutes to open it, which means that you can't retaliate against anyone attacking you; otherwise, you're required to start again from the beginning.
![]()
This requires a mix of luck and strategy in deciding when to start opening the Suitcase of Patience. If you start right at the beginning, there's a chance you'll finish it while other players are busy traveling around and looking for items. However, that means there are more people to interrupt and attack you. If you wait until later, the Storm might close in on you, making it impossible to open without draining your health to zero. More likely than not, you'll need to attempt this over multiple rounds.
What's the reward for opening the Suitcase of Patience in Fortnite?
Honestly, not as much as you'd think. As a reward for opening the Suitcase of Patience, you'll get several epic-rarity items and a goofy little critter inside to put a smile on your face. Is it worth the time and anxiety to open it? Probably not, but the feeling of knowing you accomplished this is fulfilling, at least.

Completing Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3: Super's Island Stories quests is a great way to earn tons of starting account XP while learning more about this season's storyline. The Heart of the Sprites mission focuses on Jade's perspective of the story.
How to complete Heart of the Sprites quests in Fortnite
The Heart of the Sprites quest series introduces you to a new Sprite added to Chapter 6 Season 3: Super. If you're unfamiliar with Sprite mechanics or just can't find the one you need for the quest, it can be tough to complete this mission before the round ends. Let's dive deeper into it.
Talk to Jade
Your first objective is to find Jade. Upon tracking the quest, you'll find her exact location above Shogun's Solitude on an island. The easiest way to reach this spot is to approach it from the east and then use a nearby zipline to travel across the river directly to her destination.
![]()
Upon arrival, you'll find Jade alongside a Sprite Shrine. Remember this shrine, as you'll need it very soon. For now, talk to Jade to hear about the Sprites and their role in helping her survive the Spirit Realm. You'll need to check in with them to ensure they're doing okay after the season's Live Events, prompting you to search for them.
Find and use a Dash Sprite
With your new objective in mind, it's time to find a Dash Sprite. Thankfully, you're next to a Sprite Shrine, letting you track nearby Sprites so you don't have to go on a complicated scavenger hunt. Doing this highlights them in orange.
![]()
In this case, they'll most likely be on the ground directly north of you. You can use the zipline or run down the mountain to reach them. For me, these were Dash Sprites, but there's a small chance that it won't be the case for you. If it isn't, travel around Fortnite's map and interact with various Sprite Shrines until you see these small, gold-orange Sprites wandering around.
Once you find a Dash Sprite, pick it up and toss it onto the ground to activate its powers. You'll notice gold coin-like objects hovering around your character, signaling that you can now double-jump to activate its abilities. Do this to knock out the next two quest objectives.
Bring the Dash Sprite to a Shrine
The final task of the Heart of the Sprites quest is to return the Dash Sprite to a nearby Shrine. If you're near Jade's island, you can return here and hand in the Sprite to wrap up the mission. Otherwise, follow the objective marker to the closest Shrine, rewarding you with a Boon, a rare-quality weapon, and some account XP. Congratulations, you've completed the Heart of the Sprites quest and are one step closer to wrapping up Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3: Super's Island Stories missions.

Summer Games Fest has now concluded, and we have had a bunch of new game reveals across the multiple shows, from the big Summer Games Fest main show, all the way to the PlayStation State of Play, Xbox Showcase, Wholesome Direct, and more.
There have been multiple game reveals at the event, some good, some bad, and many that might become forgettable as time passes. But as the dust begins to settle on the event, I think it's important to discuss what was our most memorable, or biggest, game reveal from every show over the past few days, for good or bad reasons.
For me, there were a few games that stuck out at the time, either because the reveal surprised me, or because it was a game I had genuine interest in. Most of the Xbox Games Showcase was a treat, with trailer after trailer showcasing titles like Persona 4 Revival, Grounded 2, Super Meat Boy 3D, and a host of other games that excited my friends and me as we watched. It was arguably the best presentation of the entire weekend by far.
There were also indie darlings like Big Walk that got a proper gameplayer trailer in some of the smaller shows, and I imagine a lot of people will be talking about the Resident Evil 9 reveal at the end of the Summer Games Fest main showcase, even if most of the show felt lacklustre at times.
Theres also been a slew of controversal reveals for one reason or another, such as Game Freak's Xbox game reveal of Beast of Reincarnation, which as you can imagine has pissed off a lot of Pokémon fans for the graphics comparisons between it and the Pokémon series as a whole.
A lot of fans were also surprised to see a lack of Switch 2 and Switch 2 game reveals as a whole, but... come on. The console has only been out for a matter of days at this point. You expect brand new announcements so soon? Wait till Gamescom.
But enough talking, what was your biggest pick from the various shows? Let us know in the comments below.
