I've seen plenty of gaming PCs that aggressively stand out, with harsh color schemes and eye-catching designs that are heavy on detail. That's what makes this calming Sakura PC build such a palate cleanser. With all-white components, a fully transparent Lian Li case, and some beautifully placed cherry blossom, this gaming PC is clean, classy, and powerful, and leaves me with some serious new build envy.

What I like about this particular rig is the subtle design choices the builder has made that make it anything but a standard PC build. The calming, white design is enhanced by modest pops of colors through RGB lighting effects, but it's the cherry blossom, carefully laid throughout the case, that really helps to set up this gaming PC's floral theme. Meanwhile, the top-spec AMD components give this rig enough chops to make it one of the best gaming PC options out there.

For a little while now, a group of Baldur's Gate 3 modders have been working on adding a custom adventure to the RPG that'll see you travel to Minthara's hometown via some locations you'll remember from previous Baldur's Gate games. I interviewed Lotrich and Tomobamba, the mod's project lead and lead writer, about their creation earlier this year, around the time they'd set their sights on releasing a demo in mid 2025, with a full release to follow at some point down the line depending on how that went. You'd think there'd be more video games that are explicitly about clearing away corpses, given how many corpses players produce. Getting rid of bodies is a routine problem for developers, with a variety of crafty or cursory solutions. Horror projects such as Resident Evil sometimes resort to accelerated decomposition, with felled zombies dissolving to maggots in seconds, but in most shooters, it's a question of despawning the victims when you look away. Stealth sims mandate a certain level of respectfulness, albeit by accident: stray cadavers must be carefully interred in random dumpsters or closets before they trigger an alarm.

As with a lot of things in games, there are technological concerns here that form a curious warping of practicalities in the world beyond the vidbox. Dead bodies in games absorb computing resources that are needed for the next enemies along. Bodies of actual flesh and bone are a weight, if not a burden upon the dead person's loved ones. The memory has to be freed up, so that it can be used for something else.

Vtuber Zentreya Will Leave VShojo

Vtuber Zentreya announced that she will leave VShojo in a Twitch stream on June 27, 2025. Her last day with the company will be July 11, 2025. She will continue performing and said "nothing will change other then where I am currently at." She's been performing as a Vtuber since November 2017, and she's been associated with VShojo since November 2020.

Here is a transcription of her full statement taken from the Twitch stream. It came up at the 1 hour and 32 minute mark.

"I would just like to let you guys know I will be leaving VShojo. I am going to be looking for new opportunities down the road. It has been a tremendous few years on this journey. I had, you know, a lot of memories with this agency. Despite every up and down, I think. It was still a fun ride. We all have to get off eventually onto a new ride. For me, this was a personal thing I needed to do. There are things that I personally want to do myself and it is, as they say, a talent agency. And I think in the long run what I want to do isn't some things that they can do exactly, which they've been so helpful with a lot of things as well. But in the end, I want to do new things. I want to explore new options."

She also shared a statement on social media expressing similar sentiments and additional details about her departure from VShojo.

https://twitter.com/zentreya/status/1938644205657633062

Zentreya deciding to leave will mark the third major Vtuber departure from VShojo in the last few months. In May 2025, VShojo and Matara Kan announced they would part ways. In June 2025, General GEEGA left the company.

Zentreya's last day with VShojo will be July 11, 2025.

Love and Deepspace Wedding Banner Shares Marriage Stories

The 4.0 Love and Deepspace Witnessed by Deepspace Special Program is done and, as a part of it, a marriage Memories banner with wedding cards involving Caleb, Rafayel, Sylus, Xavier, and Zayne appeared. There will also be an Of Days and Forever set of clothing that allows someone to get a Bespoke Suit for the guy via enhancing the Memory tied to him and a chance to get Bespoke Wedding Dress and accessories for your avatar by completing Memoria. That shows up when the update debuts on July 3, 2025. We'll then have chances to get the limited five-star, Lunar Memories on the banner until July 22, 2025.

The Witness by Deepspace Love and Deepspace Memories trailer shows scenes from each of the wedding story scenes unlocked via acquiring them. The five Lunar cards in this event are all five-star ones. They'll also only be available whenever this banner is around. The options are Caleb: Wayward Wonderland, Rafayel: Destined Dawntide, Sylus: Alternative Darkborne, Xavier: Starfall Sanctuary, and Zayne: Iceborn Warmth. When it starts, you can set which three you'd like as your focus.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3__MsteCTN4

As for the outfits, those will prove more difficult to earn. His Bespoke Suit and Special-Colored Bespoke Suit will be tied to the Love and Deepspace Witness by Deepspace marriage Memories and getting doubles to get both of them. The outfit our character includes the Bespoke Earrings, Hairstyle, Headwear, Veil, and Wedding Dress, and those mean getting one of the memories and completing Memoria. Then, if you get the Bespoke Wedding Dress and one of the Bespoke Suits for the guys, you get a Bespoke Ring accessory for your avatar.

super mario baskin robbins

From July 1 to 31, 2025, Baskin Robbins in Japan will have a Super Mario campaign. During this time, you can purchase limited edition flavors of ice cream and drinks that draw inspiration from famous Super Mario characters.

You can watch the trailer for the Super Ice Cream Summer campaign here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nM9KSgOeOQ0

The limited edition flavor is the Super Mario Fruits Summer Sorbet, which has the same color scheme as the eponymous plumber. As for the taste, it's an apple and grape sorbet with "bubble candy," which has a bubble-like coating and light crunchy texture. Cups featuring Mario and his friends are available. There will be two different types of sundaes, too. You can get a single in a Question Block or a double in a Yoshi-themed cup. Luigi and Boo also have their own themed item. You can get a Crush Soda that uses apple and muscat grape flavors, and includes nata de coco.

Aside from exclusive flavors, you can also get Mario box sets. There's one that features Toad and lets you bring home eight cups of ice cream. This box also includes a cooling towel that has Toad's pattern, as well as his friends. It comes with a carrying case that has a carabiner, so it's useful for when you're going outside in the summer. Finally, there are two kinds of ice cream cakes you can get. One heavily features Yoshi, while the other one has the whole main cast of characters.

This is the third time that Baskin Robbins held a Super Mario campaign. The first collaboration was in 2023 and the second was in 2024. It's practically a summer tradition at this point.

The Baskin Robbins Super Mario collaboration will run in Japan from July 1 to 31, 2025.

Sonic x Shadow Generations Runs Like a Dream on Switch 2

We already talked about how incredible Sonic x Shadow Generations is at Siliconera, as the game is the best version of Sonic Generations and added an invaluable Shadow the Hedgehog experience, but somehow it manages to be even better on the Switch 2. It takes a game that already turned out to be quite substantial and well executed as a result of a well-executed main campaign and spin-off, then used the extra power and improved presentation to ensue it worked even better. It may not be the most essential Sega launch title for the system, as that would be Yakuza 0 Director's Cut, but it helps round out the library in a lovely way.

Sonic x Shadow Generations on the Switch 2 is the result of incremental additions that gradually build things up into the best Nintendo-platform version of the game. Things start with the remaster of the 2011 game Sonic Generations. That combined 2D Classic and 3D Modern elements into one due to a situation involving Classic and Modern versions of Dr. Eggman and a Time Eater's chronological capabilities. As a result, we ended up with an array of levels inspired by games released between the original Genesis title and 2010's Sonic Colors. The blend of mechanics and styles ended up being quite striking, yet paired wonderfully together. When the remaster released, visuals were touched up, the performance felt a bit tighter for this original campaign, and Sega added an original Shadow Generations campaign that pulled from games released between 2001's Sonic Adventure 2 and 2022's Sonic Frontiers

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXU8Lo0LhII

On the Switch 2, the performance and visuals come across even stronger. I primarily played in Handheld mode on the system, and the larger screen made a big difference in terms of an enhanced presentation. Things are incredibly crisp, and I found it even easier to navigate through areas and parse trickier situations filled with enemies or potential paths to follow. It's a much clearer picture and looks better than the Switch 2 release. Especially if you, for some reason, choose the Quality Mode in the settings to cap the framerate at 30fps and go with better resolution.

I would advise against that, since I feel the selling point is hitting 60fps throughout Sonic x Shadow Generations on the Switch 2. And it does it! Beautifully! In Handheld mode, I'd consider it flawless. This Performance option still looks incredible, thanks to the increase in screen resolution. It's on par with other consoles. Something sorely needed, since the The PS4 and PS5 were smoking the Switch version originally. At this point, I think I'd even recommend the Switch 2 version over either Sony release, if you're capable of playing it, since you do get the benefit of it being on a console and the duality of docked and undocked gaming

The only downside is that Sonic x Shadow Generations isn't a part of the Switch to Switch 2 upgrade collection. For other titles, it's sometimes possible to download a patch to update for a small fee or free to get the enhanced release. Asides from the modes allowing you to choose between performance and visuals, I haven't noticed any changes. It is possible to take a save from the original release and use it with this one. But as significant as these adjustments feel due to the extra power and enhancements, I don't think it's worth paying $50 again.

If you don't already own Sonic x Shadow Generations, it makes for yet another wonderful Switch 2 launch game. The Performance mode on it is a significant upgrade from what we experienced originally on the Switch. Even if you aren't prioritizing the graphics with Quality mode, I think it still looks better. It's just a shame that there is no paid upgrade option, especially since the save can transfer, as it does benefit from the boost in power.

Sonic x Shadow Generations is available on the Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Donkey Kong DK Bananza Banana Eyes

It's hard to believe that 2025 is halfway over, but there's still plenty of big game releases to look forward to before the calendar flips over once more.

Looking back on June 2025, there were several solid new releases, including a whole new console in the Nintendo Switch 2. Mario Kart World, Rematch, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, The Alters, and FBC: Firebreak were just some new titles that players had the chance to dive into this month. But now, we look ahead.

Destiny 2 Year of Prophecy art
Screenshot by Destructoid

July 2025 is full of some big-name games, along with some promising new IPs that players are hoping will fulfill their potential and become a new smash hit. But with so many games and so little time, choices must be made as to which ones get your money and attention.

Whether you're a sporty gamer and looking to pick up Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 (July 8) or EA Sports College Football 26 (July 10), or an FPS fan and want to dive into Destiny 2: Edge of Fate (July 15) or Killing Floor 3 (July 24), July 2025 has just about every kind of gamer covered.

We'd be remiss if we didn't mention Donkey Kong Bananza on July 17, or the Pacman-inspired Shadow Labryinth on July 18, so even nostalgic gamers are going to be eating well. And if you're into some of the more cozy stuff, Tales of the Shire is dropping on July 29, the same day as Grounded 2. Basically, there's a lot of fun games in the month to choose from.

These games are all on top of existing titles getting new updates and live service content, like season three of Marvel Rivals, season five of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and many others, so if you're looking to avoid the rising temperatures and pump up the air conditioning while playing something new, July 2025 may be stacked.

And now, I ask you, dear reader, which of July 2025's new games are you most looking forward to picking up?

Pokémon Go Fest's 2025 Global event is upon us, and like with previous years, you'll be playing over the weekend to try and find a slew of rare Shiny Pokémon and catch this year's flagship Mythical and new Legendary Pokémon mechanic.

For ticketed or non-ticketed trainers from Aug 28 to 29, players can take part in daily events that spawn a bunch of Pokémon with increased shiny odds for those who paid for the ticket. Each day will see its own unique spawns, with different Pokémon appearing every hour in four unique habitats. Peak Napberry

Part of surviving your trek through PEAK's levels is eating enough food to avoid starving to death. While you can find plenty of food inside luggage and by foraging bushes, trying out weird foods makes the experience more fun and chaotic. That's where the Napberry comes into play.

Not only is the Napberry difficult to find, but it also has a peculiar power that can either end your run instantly or save you, depending on the circumstances. Let's dive into where to find Napberries in PEAK and their uses.

How to find Napberry in PEAK

Napberry plants spawn exclusively in Alpine, PEAK's third level after Tropics. After progressing through the game far enough to reach this level, you'll occasionally find this purple fruit growing out of a small plant. You'll know you're nearby when you see purple particles coming out of a plant and start gaining a tired status effect.

Peak Napberry plant
Screenshot by Destructoid

The exact location of Napberry plants differs each day as the maps cycle. However, once you find one, you'll spot the plant in the same location during each run, letting you memorize its spawn until the map resets. Your best bet is to search caves, as they frequently spawn inside ALPINE's mountains. This makes them difficult to access, so move quickly if you want to avoid the fog and reach the level's peak without freezing to death.

What does Napberry do in PEAK?

As you approach a Napberry plant, you'll slowly become increasingly tired, with a pink "Zzz" status effect appearing on your stamina bar. Upon eating it, your bar will fill well past its normal capacity, causing your character to fall asleep until it depletes. Depending on the circumstances, this can eliminate your character, ending your run.

Peak character sleeping after eating Napberry
Screenshot by Destructoid

However, it does have some potential benefits. If you're suffering from injuries or other status effects, the Napberry's exhaustion will clear most of them. Similarly, if you're about to take a massive amount of damage by falling, becoming poisoned, or burning to death, you can quickly eat the Napberry as a "cure" of sorts. If you recover before your life bar depletes, you'll stand back up, making you, overall, healthier than you were previously.

This comes with several risks, though. In most cases, you won't recover in time, causing your character to die. Even if you were energized before eating the Napberry, it'll usually knock you out anyway. You'll also be susceptible to freezing damage from snowstorms if you're outside while eating it.

On the plus side, if you're confident you can survive the encounter or have a teammate who can revive you later, you can use the Napberry to progress through the Foraging Badge. The Foraging Badge requires you to eat five different berries in a single expedition. The Napberry counts as one, leaving you only four more to consume by the time your run ends.

Pokémon Go Fest 2025 introduces new forms for Zacian and Zamazenta, and new Adventure Effects will also come along with them from Aug. 28, 2025.

Using Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash, trainers can, for a limited time, increase their attacking power or defensive power during Max Battles, even if they aren't using Zacian and Zamazenta during those fights. It'll make some fights easier, especially against Gigantamax Pokémon, so long as they know how to use them.

Before using both Behemoth Blade and Behemoth Bash, you need to make sure you've raided enough to change your Zacian and Zamazenta into their respective Crowned forms. This will let you use both their Adventure Effects by going into the Pokémon's summary and scrolling down.

How to use Behemoth Blade, Behemoth Bash Adventure Effect in Pokémon Go

https://twitter.com/PokemonGoApp/status/1937588484124160312

To use Behemoth Blade, head to your Crowned form Zacian's page and scroll down until you see the Behemoth Blade Adventure Effect. You need to pay 5000 Stardust and 5 Zacian Candy for five minutes of activation. This effect can be stacked. When Zacian is in its Crowned Sword form, its Charged Attack Iron Head changes to the Charged Attack Behemoth Blade.

For Behemoth Bash, Zamazenta follows the same pattern and cost to use its Adventure Effect. 5000 Stardust and 5 Zamazenta Candy for five minutes of activation. This effect can also be stacked. When Zamazenta is in its Crowned Shield form, its Charged Attack Iron Head changes to the Charged Attack Behemoth Bash.

Adventure Effects cannot exist alongside each other, though, so you can't have both active at the same time, as well as other Adventure Effects available in-game, like Origin form Palkia and Dialga's effects, alongside the various forms of Necrozma.

If you want to get these Adventure Effects, though, you'll need to take part in the raids whenever Crowned Zacian and Zamazenta are available and save up enough energy to change the Pokémon's forms. So save your raid passes and prepare for the fight, trainers!

Promo art for Persona 5 The Phantom X featuring multiple characters

Persona 5 The Phantom X is now available in all global regions, and it introduces all mainstream (and lesser-known) characters from the world of Persona to your mobile devices.

At its core, Persona 5 The Phantom X is a gacha, with some pretty interesting elements. Your degree of success in the turn-based combat will depend on the characters in your squad. The following tier list includes all characters available at launch, so you can separate the ones you'll want to invest your resources into.

Persona 5 The Phantom X tier list explained

The characters in Persona 5 The Phantom X are differentiated by their rarities, but it's more important to understand their roles. Every character fulfills one of the following four roles: DPS, Support, Sustain, and Navigator. Additionally, some characters might be good in one game mode but not so good in others.

To keep matters simple, I have combined all the factors to construct my tier list. If one character is powerful in one mode and weak in another, I have added that point. I have made the tier list based on manual play.

Destructoid's Persona 5 The Phantom X tier list
Remix by Destructoid via Tiermaker

Persona 5 The Phantom X S-tier characters

These are practically the best characters you can use, especially in their assigned roles. If you're lucky enough to get one of them, you can fix them for their role.

  • Miyu Sahara: Miyu is arguably the best support character to utilize in the current build of the game. She offers exceptional buffs, and you can get more returns by awakening her gradually.
  • Ren Amamiya (Joker): There are better characters if you're solely taking DPS into account. However, Ren can target multiple enemies and synergize well with different team compositions.
  • Ann Takamaki: Despite being slightly weaker than Ren, Ann's AoE DPS is top-notch. You all get the ability to debuff enemies, and it works mainly when there's a large mob of enemies to clear.
  • Yaoling Li: I wanted to place Yaoling in A-tier because of the need for proper investment. Once awakened, Yaoling can become almost essential for clearing late-game content with the enemy debuffs on offer, which will be crucial at one point.
  • Lufel: Excellent burst damage with Highlight synergy, and a must-have in every boss fight.

Persona 5 The Phantom X A-tier characters

The A-tier characters right now are pretty close to S-tier in terms of their in-game effectiveness. If you manage to land one of them, you can easily invest your resources and awaken them.

  • Seiji Shiratori: Seiji is the best character to get if you're considering pure DPS. However, Seiji also needs a lot of investment to rise to Awareness 6 and utilize its abilities fully.
  • Morgana: Not as elite as Miyu, Morgana is a hybrid character that offers buffs and also lands heals for allies. She fits well with different team compositions.
  • Leo Kamiyama: Another character that goes to a whole different tier once you fully raise his Awareness levels.
  • Ryuji Sakamoto: Ryuji's kit might feel limited in many ways, but it offers excellent damage with high DPS potential.

Persona 5 The Phantom X B-tier characters

When you've started, you won't have too many options to pick from. The following characters are good to fill in on a particular role if you're lacking in it.

  • Kayo Tomiyama: Not much use in the story, but Kayo is a must-have in specific boss fights.
  • Haruna Nishimori: Good character for beginners, but not much utility beyond that.
  • Shun Kano: Shun can even be considered A-tier once you get the Awareness levels up to rank six.

Persona 5 The Phantom X C-tier characters

These are beginner characters that don't have much use. It's better to replace them as early as possible with better names from the tiers mentioned above.

  • Kiyoshi Kurotani
  • Toshiya Sumi
  • Tomoko Noge
  • Yukimi Fujikawa
  • Motoha Arai
  • Kotone Montagne

The tier-list will be adjusted in the future based on new characters that we might obtain as new banners.

Blue Heater 2 desert

During your Blue Heater 2 adventures, you'll start in a small town before venturing out into the open world and completing quests. From dangerous deserts to snowy forests, there's a lot to learn and even more to remember. Being able to explore Blue Heater 2's Discord and socials can help.

Blue Heater 2 Discord server and socials

Here's a complete list of community links you can use to learn more about Blue Heater 2, including its tutorials, upcoming features, and more:

If you need help with a quest, want to trade with other players, or just want to talk to someone new, the Blue Heater 2 Discord is where you want to be. Although you'll need to verify your account, doing so unlocks sneak peeks, general text channels, and voice channels.

You can also use Discord for reporting bugs, trading with others, and sharing fan art. You can find these options through the server's channel list, where you'll find others talking in real time and sharing their experiences. That way, if you have a quick question and need some help, you'll have experienced players, moderators, and even the developers themselves around to answer.

You can also use the official Frank Development Community page to learn more about Blue Heater 2 and talk to others who play it. That way, if you've never used Discord or aren't comfortable joining its server, you can use Roblox's community wall to ask questions, talk about your experience, or see what others are up to.

Does Blue Heater 2 have a Trello?

At the time of writing, Blue Heater 2 doesn't have an official Trello page. While there's a lot of information to learn about within the experience, you'll have to rely on in-game exploration and Discord for most of your knowledge, at least for now.

There's a chance the team behind Blue Heater 2 may create a Trello page in the future. Typically, as games become more popular and have more content, these pages will appear so you can track the locations of NPCs, weapon strength, class perks, and more. As of now, though, your best bet is to use the experience's Discord server for asking questions.

Black Ops 7 key art work

Call of Duty players have been hoping for a glimpse at Black Ops 7 ever since it was revealed in a cinematic trailer a few years ago, and now their wish has been granted. Kind of. Accidentally.

It appears that an internal developer message of the day was posted errantly on Call of Duty HQ, the hub app that all recent CoD titles are launched out of, and players who got it were quick to take screenshots. And in the images, we got several new looks at BO7 and what it has to offer, including what looks like soldiers in Advanced Warfare-style exosuits.

The first image shows two futuristic-looking soldiers, looking more like they're from Black Ops 4 than Black Ops 2 (BO7 is set 10 years after BO2), and text about a mode called Overload. In Overload, "two teams of six players each fight to control a neutral EMP device that must be delivered to the enemy HQ for score."

The second image shows more futuristic soldiers wearing exosuit-like frames, doing battle around a quadruped robot with a machine gun on its back, teasing modes for Core six-vs-six and 20-vs-20 Skirmish gameplay.

Some are questioning if this "leak" was intentional to drum up hype for BO7, but it appears that this may be a side effect of CoD HQ being the home for current and future content. The latest iteration of the CoD hub has had several leaks and data mines stem from it in the past.

The newest Black Ops 6 update, Season Four Reloaded, will drop next week. Beyond that, the next few months of CoD's schedule are shrouded in secrecy, including the assumed new iteration of CoD Next where BO7 and more looks at the franchise's future will take place.

For now, dedicated CoD-heads are still just waiting for BO7's release date to be confirmed so they can pencil in a sick day this fall.

Steve standing in front o a light blue portal in A Minecraft Movie.

Gamers! Are you ready to hit up the movies for the next big live-action video game adaptation?! Hello? Don't all line up at once.

In case you missed it, the 2026 Street Fighter movie cast is quickly taking shape, and it's a list that is truly something to behold. It will reportedly feature rapper 50 Cent as Balrog, WWE wrestler Roman Reigns as Akuma, Aquaman's Jason Momoa as Blanka, and that's just the start.

Sonic, Tails and Knuckles confront Shadow in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
Screenshot via Paramount Pictures

Many gamers and movie fans are scratching their heads and rolling their eyes at the cast list thus far, but hey, who knows, maybe it could be good. The track record of live-action video game movies would suggest otherwise, though.

There have been so many live-action video game movies and TV shows over the years, and they run the gamut of everything from pretty good to absolutely dreadful. A lot of them do a poor job of pulling from source material, while others seem to be written ineptly, and others have atrocious acting performances. And some have all of these bad qualities, and more!

It all began back in 1993 with Super Mario Bros., starring Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo as Mario and Luigi, respectively. And that movie was...unique. It began the trend of trying to "real world-ify" video games and is a good example of how, sometimes, simpler is better.

Most recently, we have some of the highest-rated adaptations, according to Rotten Tomatoes. Werewolves Within and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 lead the way at 86 percent and 85 percent Fresh, and then there's a massive drop-off to Sonic the Hedgehog 2 at 69 percent.

The biggest success so far, though, has been A Minecraft Movie, which released earlier this year and made a whopping $911 million at the global box office. You can bet we'll be seeing more CHICKEN JOCKEY at the box office soon.

Another movie that blended live action and CGI, similar to the Sonic and Minecraft films, was Pokémon Detective Pikachu in 2019, sitting at 68 percent Fresh. These are all just critic scores, though, so I'm curious as to what the gamers think about them.

Some other game movies did well enough to warrant sequels and/or reboots, including Resident Evil, Mortal Kombat, Tomb Raider, and Silent Hill. But were they actually any good?

And so, now I turn to you, dear reader. What is your favorite live-action video game adaptation? There's plenty to choose from, to be sure, but the quality of the field is a question mark, to be sure. Answer our poll below, and also let us know in the comments what you think.

Claire Redfield in Resident Evil 2 Remake.

The Steam Summer Sale 2025 is spiking the temperatures with some fantastic deals, and there are plenty of options available even if you're on a tight budget.

The 10-dollar deals include a few amazing games that might be old by today's date, but they offer excellent gameplay value even standing in 2025. Similarly, you can also pick up indie titles that are even lower than their original prices, all thanks to the sale. Let's take a look at some of the best potential deals to consider.

Best Steam Summer 2025 deals to pick up under $10

Let's examine the best recommendations, followed by an explanation of why you should give these titles a go.

  • Train Sim World 5's base version is currently available for a historical low of $9.99.
  • If you're in for some Rainbow Six Siege PvE action, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction is available for $9.99.
  • Stardew Valley has added plenty of new content since its launch, and you can enjoy it all at $7.49.
  • If you don't want to take a bet on Hades 2 for being in early access, the first game has plenty of gameplay to enjoy and is available at $8.49.
  • We are finally moving towards a timeline where Hollow Knight: Silksong isn't a figment of imagination, and it might be the perfect time to purchase Hollow Knight at $7.49.
  • If you love co-op-based extraction shooters, Deep Rock Galactic is available at only $9.89.
  • AAA title Resident Evil 2 is a fantastic remake of the original release, and it's currently 75% cheaper at $9.99 only.
  • Horror-themed card game Inscryption can be bought for just $7.99.
  • The Witcher 4 should still be a year away from release, if not more. Instead of waiting for that, you can try out the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt version at a historical low of $7.99.

If I had to pick one deal out of my own recommendations, I would go with The Witcher 3. While the RPG is GOAT-ed in every way, CDPR has released plenty of post-launch content. The next-gen upgrade, which made the visuals even more stunning, was made available to all for free.

The same can also be said about Resident Evil 2, with the remake being a perfect tribute to the original release. With the same storyline but enhanced graphics, you don't have to sacrifice on the visual front while enjoying a fresh campaign.

However, the Steam sales always make me check out indie titles, and it's no different this time around. Stardew Valley is arguably one of the best games to play with your friends. If you look past the pixelated graphics, it has a nice story, plenty of in-game stuff to do, and the ability to play with your friends.

Hollow Knight and Inscryption, on the other hand, are ideally made for some solo actions if you prefer those. Inscryption is among my top three card games of all time, and it being on discount makes things sweeter. Hollow Knight is a great platformer for those who love such stuff.

If you're someone who is into simulation, Train Sim World 5 reacts to the challenges of piloting a train fairly accurately. The base game can feel slightly limited, and the DLCs are going to cost you extra. But you can still have hours of fun with the base version at a pretty cheap price.

Overall, there are plenty of other games you can pick for less than $10. However, I have tried to make the list as varied as possible so that it caters to all. Moreover, I have also considered factors like whether a game is currently available for a historically low price and the discount percentage (I only included titles with a 50-percent discount or more).

If you have a bigger budget, you can pick up more from the Steam Summer Sale 2025. There are some amazing deals available for all types of budgets, and here's a list of games you shouldn't sleep on till the sale is live.

Updated on June 27, 2025: Adjusted the tier list for post-release.

While Ancestors are the most powerful units in Silver and Blood, building a team to trigger all three Moon phases for the Blue Moon skill and ultimate buff is the most important mechanic in the game. Your team composition should include one character from each Moon Phase and this strategy along with Classes makes the best teams. You can double up on Vassals from the same Moon Phase just make sure you have Vassals from all three since their Specials trigger their corresponding Moon Phase. That's why I'll be doing a separate Silver and Blood tier list of Vassals for each Moon Phase to find the best Vassals for each one.

Tip: You'll notice that Ancestors (Red Background) dominate the S-Tiers. I wouldn't recommend rolling for them since they're extremely hard to get with below 0.5% chances. Instead, you'll get a free Ancestor selector at 450 pulls and 2 SSR Vassal selectors at 150 and 300. The best SRR to pull are Van Helsing for DPS and Acappella for Support. The best Ancestor to pull depends on your needs to on with the tier lists.

Silver and Blood Waxing Moon Tier List

silver and blood vassal tier list for waxing moon phase

The Waxing Moon Phase in Silver and Blood is your team's first building block where you pick your Support and/or Tank Vassals. It's full of Defenders and Enchanters so I would pick one of each depending on what you're going to pick up for Half Moon since there are Enchanters there as well. Note that Defenders are important but aren't as OP as in other auto-battler games so I ranked them lower than usual except Ami: Transcendent who's really strong. Here are some highlights:

Waxing Moon Highlights Notes

Seth
Ancestor Enchanter
Magic Damage
• Seth is one of the best if not the best healers in Silver and Blood
• This is because her heals ignore Anti-Heals and Recovery debuffs
• She also auto-heals low HP Vassals in your team

Ami: Transcendent
Ancestor Guardian
Physical & Magic Tank
• Ami: Transcendent is harder to get than Yggdrasil but is arguably the best Defender/Tank
• First, she has her own self HP sustain
• Second, she has great Crowd Control to stun enemies and gain DMG Reduction
• Third, she's a Hybrid Magic Defense Tank and also Physical with her ultimate
• She just needs time to stack up her jellyfishes

Yggdrasil
SSR Defender
Physical Damage
• A great alternative to Ami: Transcendent for your Tank slot that's much easier to get
• He's a great backbone of any team to tank and carry you for all modes

Starry-Eyed Aiona
SSR Enchanter
Magic Damage
• A great alternative to Seth and much easier to get
• Focuses on Shielding allies and constantly healing them as long as the shield is there
• Amazing for PVP as well as PVE

Silver and Blood Half Moon Tier List

silver and blood vassal tier list for half moon phase

The Half Moon Vassals are where you can pick up your melee DPS (Full Moon is usually ranged DPS) characters and/or another Support. It's filled with Assassins, Warriors, and Enchanters who are usually a mix of melee DPS and Utility. If you only picked up a Defender for Waxing Moon I highly recommend picking at least one Enchanter from here that being Acappella as the best one (Acappella is easy to get with the selector). That said the Full Moon tier list is where the best DPS Vassals in the game are located. Here are some highlights:

Waxing Moon Highlights Notes

Acappella
SSR Enchanter
Magic Damage
• Next to Van Hellsing in Full Moon, Acappella is the best SSR to get with the 50 guaranteed SSR selectors or if you roll her
• She's a great support that can buff Physical and Magical damage and more importantly Critical Rate
• Her ultimate also increases Energy charge rate which is incredibly strong

Ami
SSR Enchanter
Magic Damage
• I prefer Acappella but Ami is also a great SSR support to just get via rolls
• Her playstyle makes her tether to another Vassal like a DPS or Defender and act as their secondary health (Best with Defenders)
• Both Gilrain (Assassin) and Darcias (Warrior) are decent DPS options if you get them via rolls but don't use selectors for them
• Acappella or Van Helsing (DPS Full Moon) are better to get on a selector though

Silver and Blood Full Moon Tier List

silver and blood vassal tier list for full moon phase

You'll find the best DPS Vassals in Silver and Blood in the Full Moon list and they're usually ranged. It's filled with Sorcerers, Hunters, and some Warriors. The Full Moon is your bread and butter for damage and I highly recommend getting Van Helsing via your guaranteed SSR selector. Other than that the most powerful Ancients DPS are here but they're really hard to pull. You'll most likely get them via the 150-300-450 guaranteed Vassal selector. Here are some highlights from the Full Moon lineup:

Waxing Moon Highlights Notes

Van Helsing
SSR Hunter
Physical Damage
• The best DPS you can get early via the guaranteed SSR selector
• Best SSR DPS
• Much easier to get than Ancestor DPSs
• Self-boosts Crit Rare, execute damage, and massive AOE damage with Ult

Agares: Incendiary
Ancestor Sorcerer
Magic Damage
• Best Magic DPS Vassal in the game
• Takes a bit to get used to since he drains his own HP to deal AOE damage
• He can revive on death and perform his Ultimate for 0 Energy without HP drain

Noah: Transcendent
Ancestor Hunter
Physical Damage
• The Ancestor version of the base Noah with a drastically changed playstyle
• Summons units when friendly Vassals and Summons die
• Massive ult damage that scales with his summoned units
• Great DPS and Utility mix

Hati: Transcendent
Ancestor Warrior
Physical Damage
• Best damage-over-time sustain DPS in the game
• All about DOT damage and spreading it
• Can switch to burst damage with her Ultimate which immediately pops all DOT stacks for massive burst damage

Silver and Blood Reroll Guide

  • silver and blood reroll guide
  • silver and blood best reroll banner guide

Silver and Blood isn't really a game that promotes rerolling because of the chest system where you can get 2 guaranteed SSR Vassals on 150 and 300 pulls and 1 Ancestor Vassal on 450 pulls. This promotes playing the game for longer to get powerful characters over time. However, if you do still want to reroll to get your desired SSR with the opening multi-pulls, here's how:

  • Getting the Opening Pulls: Open up a game with your new account and clear the opening intro and Story 1-4 and claim all the rewards from the different menus, events, passes, and shop. Also do Story 1-5 for more pulls and to unlock the Mail for additional resources. Also, try to complete as many Daily and Weekly missions and claim all our Silver and Blood codes. It takes about 20 minutes to get all the opening pulls and codes. I recommend disabling Skill Animations in Settings>Battle to save time.
  • Who to Roll For (Blue Dawn Banner): You can check out the S and A Tiers for our three tier lists above for the best SSR Vassals to keep with your reroll attempts on Blue Dawn. Generally, Van Helsing is the best for DPS and Acappella is the best support in terms of SSR. Don't roll for Ancients since they're 0.5% or lower. Once you finish all your multi-pulls think about whether you're happy with them and keep playing for the 150-300-450 guaranteed SSR and Ancestor Vassals. If not, you can try to reroll though the game encourages simply playing because of the previously mentioned system.
  • How to Reroll: Rerolling not available on Mobile so this is a PC-only guide. It involves deleting Silver and Blood data from your PC registry so do this at your own risk. Essentially, you want to close the game client, open the Registry Editor via the search bar on your PC, follow this path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nova\Silver and Blood. Then all you have to do is delete all the files in the Silver and Blood folder and relaunch the game to make a new Guest account and you can repeat the reroll process.

That's it for our Silver and Blood tier list and reroll guide. Don't forget to check out our Silver and Blood codes for free goodies and if you want a similar game I highly recommend Marvel Mystic Mayhem.
