Halloween Hatsune Miku x Cinnamoroll Plush Teased

Sega announced its next collection of Hatsune Miku x Cinnamoroll plush, and the next four stuffed animals will wear Halloween costumes. These will appear as prizes in arcades in Japan. They'll debut ahead of the actual holiday, as we'll see them starting on October 10, 2025. There's no word on a US or worldwide release.

Like most of these collections, there are four possible stuffed animals to get. Two involve the Vocaloid, and the other two are the Sanrio mascot. Each is a pair of the duo in matching costumes. In one, the two wear pumpkin costumes and have a matching hat. The other pair dressed them as witches.

Here's how those toys will look:

This is a recurring line of Sega prize plush, as there have been multiple "volumes" of stuffed animals in this Hatsune Miku x Cinnamoroll line. Some just involved different poses and their standard "outfits," such as some with them sleeping, eating treats, or playing with their ears/pigtails. Others featured specific costumes, like a marine line that put both characters in sailor uniforms

The Hatsune Miku x Cinnamoroll plush collection of four characters dressed in Halloween costumes will debut in Japanese arcades as prizes starting on October 10, 2025.

Watch Tales of Xillia Remastered Jude and Millia Opening Movies

Tales of Xillia offers a unique experience compared to some other entries in the series, as the game lets you the option to choose between Jude Mathis and Millia Maxwell as your main character. After seeing Millia wake from meditation to realize spirits are dying, her role is Maxwell is explained and watching Jude running through his school's hall, we pick an avatar. This means different stories and separate opening movies for each one. Bandai Namco shared both of the Tales of Xillia Remastered opening movies for each character to show how they'll look in the rerelease.

Since these are both opening movies for the same game, both the Tales of Xillia Remastered opening movies for Jude and Millia have a lot in common. Both use the same theme song, which is still Ayumi Hamasaki's "Progress." Scenes with some supporting characters, like Alvin, Leia Rolando, Elize Lutus, and Rowen Ilbert, remain the same throughout. However, we do see both of the leads in their elements, such as Millia in nature and Jude at work in school, in their respective videos.

Here's the opening movie for Jude Mathis in Tales of Xillia Remastered.

PSA: Genshin Impact PS4 Disappears From PlayStation Store This Week

If you played Genshin Impact on the PS4 or had any interest in doing so over the next few weeks, don't forget to download it from the PlayStation Store as soon as possible. HoYoVerse will be delisting it on September 10, 2025. As long as you download it prior to its removal, you can still access it and play the game before it shuts down on that platform.

As a reminder, HoYoVerse said in August 2025 that it would end support for the PS4 version of Genshin Impact. It blamed both "hardware performance and platform application size." This removal comes ahead of the 6.0 update, which begins our journey into the Snezhnaya region by heading into Nod-Krai. People who download Genshin Impact ahead of the PlayStation Store delisting, or who already did so at some point before now, can still search for it, redownload, and play.

This is the first of four major dates HoYoVerse announced for the PS4 version of the game. The next is December 17, 2025. When that day rolls around, anyone who logs into the PS4 version will get a prompt to bind their account to an email and prepare for the process of playing on another platform. Someone shifting to a PS5 version could just log in. Otherwise, players moving elsewhere will need to connect a HoYoVerse account.

The next major date is February 25, 2025. That is when PS4 Genshin Impact in-game purchases for things like the $4.99 monthly Blessing of the Welkin Moon pass or Genesis Crystals currency will be delisted. Finally, April 8, 2026 is the last day for the title. That is when there will be no more updates and that version of the game will be shut down.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. The PlayStation Store will stop offering downloads of the PS4 version on September 10, 2025.

Genshin Impact Among Us Crossover Confirmed

Innersloth and HoYoVerse confirmed that a Genshin Impact crossover will come to Among Us on September 10, 2025, the same day Luna I (6.0) launches in the ongoing game. This will involve a free cosmetic set in the online social deduction game.

As of time of writing, the Innersloth official site for the Genshin Impact crossover returned a 404 error, but the HoYoVerse page hinted at what we'll see in Among Us. This will only involve Paimon cosmetics, apparently. This will be free, however, so it won't involve spending any Stars paid currency to unlock.

Both the official image and announcement picture show what those cosmetics will look like. Someone will be able to give their character Paimon's hair with halo, her dress, and her shoes. The official Innersloth social media announcement also mentioned a Nameplate based on Genshin Impact will be given away.

Here are the official teaser images for the event:

And here's the picture of the crossover image from HoYoVerse's site.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. Among Us is on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. The crossover between the two shows up on September 10, 2025, which is also when the Luna I 6.0 update arrives in Genshin Impact

Honkai: Nexus Anima Character Teasers Show Cublade, Bobabirb, Foalhardy Pokemon creatures

Honkai: Nexus Anima is going to be a HoYoVerse game with Pokemon elements that will involve collecting creatures known as Anima, and the company shared new trailers and details about the characters Bobabirb, Cublade, and Foalhardy. Each one represents a different Aspect (element), with the video introducing their behavior and mindset.

The first Anima to be teased was Foalhardy, which is a Pride type character. It is a Honkai: Nexus Anima character that almost seems to have some shades of similarities with Mimikyu from Pokemon, as the creature believes it is an Inkicorn, which is another kind of Anima, and wears a blanket over it. Its video shows it treating jumping over some water as a monumental feat.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Hzc7OsMzz7k

The second video showed the Insatiability Anima known as Bobabirb. It is basically a penguin chef. Its teaser trailer showed another kind of Honkai: Nexus Anima character, as the cat-like creature that resembles a milk carton and cow named Mimoo also showed up as an ingredient source for its drinks. The character Nanafey also appeared as someone taste testing the Bobabirb creation.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sqJMyH1rUaU

Finally, the Cublade Anima trailer is the most recent video to show off a Honkai: Nexus Anima character. That one also teased the appearance of someone who looked familiar. The Novarchs section of the official site showed a person who looks identical to Honkai: Star Rail's Blade and introduced him as the 22nd member of the group, and he's shown with that Anima in his official art. We also see his bandaged arm in the YouTube Short. This is a Regret type Anima.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/9y7as7QCRZM

As for the additional information, here are all three graphics that show off the Bobabirb, Cublade, and Foalhardy in Honkai: Nexus Anima

Honkai: Nexus Anima is in development, and registration for the Nexus Link PC and iOS test are open until September 12, 2025.

NPC wearing Manatees jersey next to Jason

The wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 wears on through the seasons, seemingly never-ending as the whole industry waits for what could be the biggest release of all time. Every once in a while, a crumb of hype emerges.

This latest crumb comes from dataminer Tez2 on GTAForums, who may have stumbled upon some very funny and interesting developments regarding the world-building in GTA 6. And it's very on-brand for the franchise and Rockstar both.

GTA6 Lucia in a pool
Image via Rockstar Game

Tez2 said they discovered some website domain names that were registered a few months ago "under Take-Two's nameservers that seem to be [GTA 6]-related." And they seem like they would fit right in to what we know and love about GTA, and may quell some fears that certain gamers have about the game being "woke" or rated PG in comparison to past titles.

The website domain names include titles such as what-up.app, rydeme.app, buckme.app, leonidagov.org, hookers-galore.com, wipeoutcornskin.com, and myboyhasacreepycorndog.com. Gamers already deciphered that what-up.app is likely a play on WhatsApp, rydeme.app lampoons rideshare apps like Uber or Lyft, and then hookers-galore.com is, well, a website to find prostitutes.

"These domains could be in-game sites that Rockstar may redirect to VI's page later on, like what we've seen with IV and V," they said. "Or some could be completely unrelated instead."

GTA has always had funnily-named businesses and such to parody real world counterparts, like Sprunk (Sprite), Lampadati (Lamborghini), Life Invader (Facebook) or Bleeter (Twitter), so this goes to show that hopefully the game will retain its trademark humor in lieu of watering things down in fear of "cancelation" or judgment.

Honestly, I'm just hoping we get another glimpse of GTA 6 before 2025 comes to an end. The wait until its current launch day of May 26, 2026 may become a bit more tolerable if we get to see another trailer or some gameplay before the calendar flips.

Looking at the back of Juliana, looking at the static on the television directly in front of her

A life brutally taken on-air inevitably led to the cancellation of the infamous show, TELEFORUM. What sits outside of an evidence locker is a mysterious tape that may have had a hand in the tragedy. But how could a VHS tape carry such power? Moving from one hand to another, the curse passes like a chain email, but are you superstitious enough to keep the line moving?

A troubling mix of journalistic curiosity and fulfilling your own selfish desires, you head to the grieving widow, assuming she's now in possession of said tape. In a classic tale of curiosity killed the cat, you put your life in jeopardy just to get that killer story. You might actually get the scoop you've been after—but as the face of the headline. Fill in the blanks, understand why you're really here, and uncover the mystery of that cursed tape. Was it all planned from the start? Did something draw me here outside of my own curiosity?

Juliana asking Adriana if she's ready for the interview. Shot pointing at Adriana in the shadows, sitting on her armchair

This is TELEFORUM, a free-to-play, bite-sized horror game. The Ring meets Videodrome, TELEFORUM hooks you in for its mystery and clever execution of its found-footage subgenre. A point-and-click first-person experience that's packed full of dread, this title is a surprising gem that I think about often.

Playing as a cameraman working alongside his eager colleague, looking for her next juicy story, we traverse across the line of right and wrong in a desperate attempt to make it big. We're interviewing the grieving widow, who only recently lost her husband. But we really want to see what's on that curious tape. Has it only been in the hands of those who have taken their own lives? Could its contents have something to do with it? How could something so wicked and evil be captured and immortalized through a VHS tape?

There's something cosmic about it, borderline biblical. It's as if there's something living and breathing, consuming the eyes of those who sought it out. The itch that demands to be scratched by your curiosity is so tormenting that you have to satiate it. So you say the real reason you're here and hesitantly press play.

Looking through a glass pane on a door at Juliana facing the wall

Everything about this title is unnerving and uncomfortable. From the liminal space corridors of the seemingly empty apartment building, to the ominous lighting that casts shadows against the widow's face, almost granting her anonymity. There's the sinking feeling that you may have walked into a trap. But you don't know if it's because of her or that build-up over asking about that tape. Every moment in TELEFORUM felt like something was wrong. The widow's behavior, her words not matching our account of events, the perpetual feeling of a presence in the room. It's as if the apartment walls are whispering the truth written in the static. "Get out," and "don't watch the tape," it says, yet you don't have a choice.

There's a lot of subtlety in its horror, and it's one you have to pay close attention to. Forced to replay the game again, you wonder if something's broken or if this is how the game's intended. TELEFORUM seems the same on the surface, yet there are small differences that confirm your fears—you're not playing the game from the beginning. It's easy to feel as though you and the contents on the tape are linked, like every second recorded on your camcorder is only strengthening—feeding whatever evil hides inside.

Distorted overlayed shot of a man's face on top of a liminal space corridor

TELEFORUM is mysterious and eerie. It captures your attention with its still camera work, each shot lasting ever so slightly too long. It's suffocating and claustrophobic as you cannot make much sense of what's around you. This horror often dips into the uncanny valley, perfectly accompanying the liminal space design of the environment, raising the question whether what you're experiencing is the game's reality. It's as if you've no-clipped into the backrooms, yet you don't know when it happened.

TELEFORUM pulls you in much like Videodrome does; it's addictive and makes you feel wrong for wanting to see more. An impressive title that succeeds in creating a tense atmosphere and keeping its mystery alive in the shadows, taking a peek at TELEFORUM might leave you wanting more from future indie horror games. It certainly had that effect on me.

TELEFORUM is available for free on Steam. Will you press play?

Hornet getting the Apostate Key in Hollow Knight Silksong

The Apostate Key is vital in Hollow Knight Silksong as you are approaching the endgame content, and it's one of the three Slab Keys spread across Pharloom.

Just like the Simple Key, getting the Apostate Key (or the Key of Apostate) will allow you to access more memories. However, you won't have any objective marker pointing you in the right direction.

This guide will help you find this elusive item in Hollow Knight Silksong.

Apostate Key location in Hollow Knight Silksong

There are different ways to reach the Apostate Key, but the road won't be easy. It's filled with monsters and tough terrain. The path I chose for this guide can be accessed from the Bench in Bilewater, and you'll need the Wall Climb, Dash, and the Double Jump abilities. That part shouldn't be a problem since we are discussing the endgame stage.

Bench location in Bilewater in Hollow Knight Silksong
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • From the bench, go left and jump onto the next couple of platforms to the next room.
  • Cross the room with the available platforms, and you'll come across a point where you can either go up or down.

Hornet in Bilewater in Hollow Knight Silksong
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Go up, for which you'll need to be able to Wall Climb and Double Jump. Head up until you can access the next platform and move to the next room.
  • Use the ledges until you reach the top of the new room, and you'll find a path going left.
  • As you move forward, keep landing your attacks. There's a monster here. Bait it and force it to rush towards you. Then jump on top of it and keep going left.
  • Reach the ledge, double jump, dash to reach the next one, and you'll find the Apostate Key there.

Please note that two more Slab keys are scattered throughout Hollow Knight Silksong. All three of them are hard to obtain, and you'll need to unlock all the abilities before you can find them.

VVD passing the ball to a teammate in EA FC 26

EA Sports has announced what could be the very first patch for FC 26 in the form of the Closed Beta feedback update, and there are some major observations.

EA Sports is planning several changes based on how the closed beta operated between Aug. 6 and Aug. 26. Some of the development tweaks are promised to be present during the full launch on Sept. 19, while others might require more time.

Based on community feedback from the closed beta, let's examine what major changes to expect.

FC 26 Closed Beta feedback update patch notes

Based on the feedback, the full version of FC 26 will undergo changes before it goes live in early access on Sept. 19.

  • Low Driven Shot Effectiveness: Goalkeeper reactions against low-driven shots are being optimized to make them less overpowered.
  • AI Defender Speed: The problem was with the ball-trapping animations when an attacker took more time than required to receive and move with the ball, and the issue is being fixed.
  • Attacking AI Positioning: Work is being done to help players recognise space faster and move into it, irrespective of their role or familiarity. Greater emphasis will be placed on ensuring they don't run into an offside position.
  • Club Archetypes: More Attribute points will be rewarded at level 1 and for every new level from there onwards.
  • Contract Renewal Negotiations: Negotiations will be much more consistent, allowing managers to know precisely when one of their superstars needs a new contract.
  • Heavy Dribble Touches: While dribble touches aren't being worked on currently, the issue is more due to how the ball works in the wet-weather presets.
  • AI Call for Pass Delay: Multiple instances of AI players taking unnecessarily long to release the ball are being looked at before release.
  • Be a Goalkeeper Save Delay: Multiple design updates are planned to ensure you get more consistent results in the Be a Goalkeeper mode.
  • AI Shot Selection: AI players will be more inclined towards shooting when the correct situation arises.

EA Sports has also started to announce the official ratings for FC 26, so check them out to see who is on top.

Jinx joins 2XKO

The closed beta for 2XKO begins officially on Sept. 9, and it could be the start of something truly special for League of Legends and fighting game fans alike.

This upcoming game will be a fighting title inspired by the world of League of Legends. Many iconic champions will be present, along with their signature movesets.

The closed beta is the best chance for fans to try the game out before its full launch on PCs, and we have you covered if you're unaware of when it begins.

2XKO closed beta countdown

As mentioned earlier, the closed beta will be available only on PC. There will be no regional releases, and the launch time will be the same regardless of your location. The following countdown will allow you to track when the closed beta goes live. Do note that this countdown is exclusively for the 2XKO closed beta.

[hurrytimer id="1115157"]

The countdown is based on the following times.

  • 11am PT
  • 1pm CT
  • 2pm ET
  • 6pm UTC
  • 7pm BST
  • 8 pm CEST

The servers will go live initially in North America and South America, followed by other regions. After logging into your Riot account, you can send an application to participate in the beta, which is only available for players on PC. The full release will also be available on consoles.

While the beta will let you access plenty of features, all progress will be wiped when it's over. That said, Riot hasn't mentioned an end date, and the closed beta will continue for as long as required so that the developers can keep improving it for a full launch.

A ghost trapped in a summoning circle in front of a flaming cross in Phasmophobia

If you think you've mastered the art of ghost hunting in Phasmophobia, you may be ready to put your skills to the test. Weekly challenge modes are a great way to see just how good you are.

These special trials modify how the game works, usually with rules that make the experience a lot harder. Successfully finishing the challenge gets you plenty of XP and cash, so it's well worth the effort. Here's the weekly challenge in Phasmophobia and everything you need to know to beat it.

Phasmophobia weekly challenge mode (Sept. 7-14)

From Sept. 7 to 14, the weekly challenge is Sanity Survival in Phasmophobia. In this challenge, you barely have any sanity, and what little you do have drains rapidly. The ghost also only gives you two pieces of evidence, so you have to put on your detective hat and watch for minuscule details to succeed in this one.

How to complete the weekly challenge in Phasmophobia

To finish the weekly challenge mode in Phasmophobia, you need to correctly identify the ghost present on the featured map three times. The specific changes present in each trial mode vary, but your goal is always the same.

All Sanity Survival weekly challenge modifiers in Phasmophobia

This challenge mode has several specific rules that modify the way the contract functions. Here are all the key details you need to know about this trial.

  • Map: 10 Ridgeview Court
  • Starting sanity: 75 percent
  • Sanity Pill restoration: Zero percent
  • Sanity drain speed: 200 percent
  • Evidence given: Two
  • Setup time: None
  • Player speed: 125 percent
  • Ghost speed: 125 percent
  • Hiding places: None
  • Fuse box state: Broken
  • Cursed Possession: Tarot Cards and Voodoo Doll
  • Equipment: Mix of Tier I and Tier II items.

    • Tier I: Head Gear, Crucifix, EMF Reader, Thermometer, Photo Camera, Tripod, Ghost Writing Book, Spirit Box, Sound Sensor, Salt, Parabolic Microphone, Motion Sensor, Sanity Medication, and Igniter.
    • Tier II: Sound Recorder, Flashlight, Firelight, Video Camera, DOTS Projector, and UV Light.

  • Missing Equipment: Three Sanity Medication, one Crucifix, and all Incense.

Phasmophobia Sanity Survival weekly challenge mode tips

The Sanity Survival challenge is one of the trickier ones you can attempt in Phasmophobia, so here are some of the best tips to help you get it done.

  • Learn the map ahead of time. 10 Ridgeview Court isn't massive, but knowing the full layout will increase your odds of successfully surviving a ghost hunt. If you aren't familiar with this house, you might run into a dead end or struggle to find a hiding spot during a hunt. Prepare ahead of time by exploring this location in a custom match with the friendly ghost option toggled on.
  • Be wary of early hunters. There's no setup time in this one, so it's possible, although unlikely, that you may be hunted as soon as you step on the map. Try to get your single Crucifix down in the ghost room as soon as possible to deter this and also ensure you're always ready to run or hide as needed.
  • Watch for hunt patterns and unofficial evidence. Successfully catching actual evidence is tough since you have minimal sanity that drains quite quickly, which means the ghost will likely hunt you very often. You'll also only get two out of the three official evidence from the ghost, so you must watch out for unofficial evidence and unique hunting patterns to have a shot at identifying the ghost. Poltergeists throw an item every 0.5 seconds during hunts, Banshees target only one player until they're deceased, Wraiths never step in Salt, Onis can't perform the airball event, and so on for most other ghosts. Learn the specific behaviors that make each ghost different and use them to help you catch the ghost.
  • Look out for The Mimic. The only ghost that will still give you three evidence in this challenge is The Mimic, which always provides fake Ghost Orbs as a bonus piece of evidence meant to throw you off. If you see orbs, analyze the ghost extra carefully, as they could be The Mimic trying to trip you up.
  • Play with friends. Your odds of success are a lot better with allies helping you through this tricky trial. With additional ghost hunters at your side, you can explore the map more quickly, work together to gather evidence, and continue the investigation even if you perish.
  • Don't give up. Since all equipment is provided for free, there's nothing to lose in this challenge. Because of this, you can keep trying without worrying about losing money or equipment. Give each contract your all and keep at it until you get it done.
  • Make an educated guess. Some ghosts are just easier to identify than others, so luck plays a large role in how easy or tough this trial is. Even if you have no evidence at all, always make a guess before you leave, then reroll to try again.

When does the challenge mode change in Phasmophobia?

The challenge mode changes every Monday at 12am UTC, which translates to 7pm CT every Sunday. You have a full week to tackle each challenge mode when it's available. All challenge modes return regularly since they're on a rotating schedule, so if you don't get to finish one, you can always try it again in the future.

Next weekly challenge mode in Phasmophobia

The next weekly challenge mode, which will run for a full week from Sep. 14 to 21, is the Speedrun! trial. This challenge mode begins as soon as this week's featured one, Sanity Survival, ends.
