My character is presently a furry chunk of worm jerky, crammed into a half-built shack after accidentally encasing herself in the furniture, so I couldn't spill the beans even if I knew. But I can reveal there are "gruesome murders" to investigate from this point on, and further opportunities to dig up the misbegotten secrets of Arrakis. Here's a trailer. |

Haru Urara, a racehorse nicknamed "The Shining Star of Losers Everywhere" and the inspiration behind the Haru Urara character in the Umamusume franchise, died from a hernia in the early hours of September 9, 2025. She died at the age of 29, which would have made her around 90 years old in human years. [Thanks, Yahoo!]
Haru Urara was a racehorse that many found inspiring in 2003, when a commentator mentioned that she may become Japan's Zippy Chippy. Zippy Chippy was an American thoroughbred that became famous for losing 100 races. Haru Urara's popularity stemmed from her underdog status, and people were even using tickets bidding on her as good luck charms.
Her popularity exploded again after her retirement when Cygames released Umamusume: Pretty Derby. In it, her character is cute and plucky, who loves running even though she's racing at the highly competitive Tracen Academy. Throughout her career story, she learns to take racing more seriously, culminating in an emotional moment at the Arima Kinen race. After the global version came out, overseas fans fell in love with Haru Urara and sent her fresh grass to her retirement farm so she could have some yummy food.
Haru Urara is not the only racehorse that fans may have become familiar with through Umamusume: Pretty Derby that died this year. In August 2025, retired racehorse and Umamusume: Pretty Derby character inspiration, Grass Wonder, also passed away. You can play the game on mobile devices or Windows PC.

The Tokyo Game Show 2025 official site for Sega and Atlus is live and, while there are games we know such as the JRPG Persona 3 Reload, the companies will also feature four unknown, mystery games at their TGS booth. It will also be showing some from other developers and publishers, including an unknown title from Nippon Ichi Software.
Here are all the known Sega and Atlus games that the company will show at TGS 2025, with the two JRPG options being Persona games.
These are the titles from other companies that will be there:
The NIS game is unrevealed.
As for the four unknown Sega and Atlus games at TGS 2025, the site offers absolutely no details. It only said "coming soon" on each teaser image. It's unknown if we'll see any news before the event begins.
This means Sega and Atlus joins companies like Square Enix and Sony in sharing their plans for the event.
TGS 2025 takes place between September 25-28, 2025, and the Atlus and Sega booth includes 10 of their own games and five titles from others.

There are two developers I trust most for enjoyable golf games. One is Camelot, though many of its best entries appeared between 1999 and 2004. The other is Clap Hanz. It ended up being the go-to developer for the Everybody's Golf series, and its original Easy Come Easy Golf and Ultimate Swing Golf titles ended up being really strong. For the multiplatform Everybody's Golf Hot Shots entry, Bandai Namco turned to HYDE and, while it's fine, it doesn't feel like it captures the same spirit and attention to detail as the Clap Hanz installments.
Everybody's Golf Hot Shots is designed to be an arcade sports experience. So while this is traditional golf, there's a whimsical spirit even in its the not "Wacky" mode. Once you hop in, single and multiplayer options are available, and it is also possible to head into Golf Lessons to learn how to play and fine-tune your skills. The single-player section features Challenge Mode, World Tour, Stroke Play, Match Play, Wacky Golf, and Solo Round. Challenge Mode involves earning money in Easy, Normal, and Hard tasks, and World Tour is the story mode. As for multiplayer, Stroke Play, Match Play, and Wacky Golf are available. Stroke Play is for up to four people and covers every hole. Match Play involves one or two people, with each hole marking a chance for success. Wacky Golf is the "silly" option, with Colorful, Scramble, Survival Golf, and Boom Golf. Colorful is more random with constant changes, Scramble involves teams taking turns, Survival means you'll possibly lose clubs and get to take your opponent's, and Boom uses exploding balls. It's a decent selection of modes,
The newcomers Aile and Mizuki are available at the outset, and characters from past games can be unlocked as you play. Everybody's Golf as a whole always featured some colorful characters that might feature some exaggerated traits and designs, and it feels like HYDE is trying to do that with Hot Shots' newest players. The thing is, both Aile and Mizuki are so exaggerated that it feels forced for the sake of a gimmick, and going through each one's World Tour story felt grating as a result. These can be skipped, but it's a little off-putting considering the quality of Clap Hanz's work. Especially since the patter that comes up when you unlock other characters and caddies and starts to go from color commentary to absolutely obnoxious. I started to be of the mind they should all be seen and not heard, because at least the character designs look okay. But since characters do unlock gradually and you do only get the two to start, it's just a lot to endure. Especially since you constantly need to go through Challenges a ton to build up loyalty so you can unlock shots and the other characters.
While the golfers can look okay and the course layouts are also generally fine, some elements of Everybody's Golf Hot Shots don't look as good. Generative AI is used for the grass and course textures, the trees, and environmental elements. While it might be colorful sometimes, it is quite bland. I even felt like the bad agricultural design made it difficult to sometimes gauge shots. That is, when the camera wasn't getting in the way.

![]()
While Everybody's Golf Hot Shots can work fine, there are times when it didn't feel as precise and well-optimized as past installments. Lots of unlocking to get all of the golfers, shots, and courses is only the start. You can choose to go with three-button press, a power bar, and feedback, but all are hampered by the game sometimes not accurately registering or the timing feeling off. The default settings are bad, and I found I only had success when using the second camera setting. The UI conveys information, but not as well and efficiently as past entries. I even felt like I couldn't rely on any estimates for shots, and as though the NPC opponents were playing under conditions that aided them and hampered me. I'm honestly hoping some of the controls and other elements are hampered by bugs that could perhaps be patched out. It doesn't feel as accurate as I expected.
Everybody's Golf Hot Shots seems like it should include everything we expect from the series, but it falls short of Clap Hanz's work. Characters come across as annoying, rather than charming, and it's a lot of work to unlock them and build them up. The general selection of modes available are fine. However, some technical issues and design choices keep it from running and looking like it should. It's okay and might be better after a few patches, but past entries were more enjoyable.
Everybody's Golf Hot Shots is available on the PS5, Switch, and PC.

NBA 2K26's MyCareer mode allows you to live the dream of becoming an NBA superstar virtually, and you can do so at your own pace.
Thanks to the mode's Sandbox nature, you can enjoy the content at your desired difficulty level. While playing at higher difficulties is a bigger challenge, the rewards are better. That said, what's the best level for you to play MyCareer? This guide will clear it up, whether you're a veteran or an absolute beginner.
Table of contents
All difficulty settings in NBA 2K26 MyCareer
There are six different difficulty levels to choose from.
It's pretty easy to understand that playing on the easiest difficulty will help you complete objectives quicker and win more games. However, you should also remember that your chosen difficulty directly impacts the rewards you earn.
![]()
Best NBA 2K26 MyCareer difficulty
This question becomes more critical for absolute beginners. Semi-Pro is your best starting point; you can expect minimal challenge as you master the basics. The rewards certainly are less than optimal, but there's scope for growth and improvement. The gap between Semi-Pro and Pro isn't too big, and the transition is easy.
If you have been playing the NBA 2K series for a few years, Superstar is a great spot to play at. You get plenty of rewards, and the difficulty isn't as painful as Hall of Fame. You can also begin at All-Star and then change the difficulty once deeper into your build.
How to change MyCareer difficulty in NBA 2K26?
You can change the desired difficulty quite easily.
You can do this to increase/decrease difficulty as per your requirements.

If you've encountered any bugs in Hollow Knight: Silksong, you're not alone. They're literally everywhere!
Hornet herself is a bug, as are most of the characters in the game, but the bugs I'm here to talk about today have to do with glitches in the game that may hamper the experience or even halt progress. Team Cherry is already deploying a new update "mid next week" to fix a bunch of problems players are experiencing.
Here's all of the info about what's coming in the first post-launch update for Silksong, version number 1.0.28470.
Hollow Knight: Silksong 1.0.28470 patch notes

Additionally, Team Cherry said that "all fixes will apply retroactively, so players who've hit a significant bug that prevents progress may want to switch over to public-beta to receive the fix."
"Further fixes are already being worked on for a second patch," the dev said. "If you have an issue and you don't see the solution in the list above, we may be working on it."

Hollow Knight Silksong isn't an easy game by any means, but if you've been having a rough time, there's a simple solution. A user-made easy mode mod.
It's important to note that, as of writing on Sept. 9, there is no literal "easy mode" mod. However, users have been creating mods that provide gameplay changes to make the game easier. Thankfully, my pursuit of finding that one complete mod seems to have borne fruit.
How to use the easy mod in Hollow Knight Silksong?
Titled Relaxed Mode, this interesting mod will make your life easier in Hollow Knight Silksong. Unlike the more popular mods on Nexus Mods, this one tries to impact different gameplay features simultaneously.
Here's a rundown of the key features of the mod.
![]()
Having already tested the mod, I believe this is closest to what a potential easy mode for Hollow Knight Silksong would look like. The game's fundamental qualities are still intact, but not as harsh. I have added a few more mods below to make the game easier.
How to use the easy mode mod in Hollow Knight Silksong?
You'll need to download the mod files and BepInEx, which operates as the mod manager, to run the mod.
If you want to disable the mod, delete the .dll file.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is absolutely amazing, so long as you're not looking to play the Chinese language version. And while the boss battles themselves rule, they lack a simple element that would make them vastly more enjoyable.
The bosses in Hollow Knight Silksong don't have health bars
Is there even an older and more iconic video game mainstay than the huge health bar accompanying a major boss? Though the trend was fading a bit in the late '00s through massively successful series like Halo, Call of Duty, and the GTA series, which mostly did away with boss encounters entirely, it enjoyed a massive resurgence with the Souls series, and currently remains stronger than ever.
This bar of imposing size exists in large part to let players know sh*t is about to get real, sometimes seemingly to the point of trying to have them pee their pants. We know damn well that's at least what the Dark Souls developers want to happen.
But it also serves a different purpose. If the boss is a mountain to climb, one of the greatest hurdles a game's devs have crafted to challenge players, then its health bar is your friendly progression meter. It can fill players with determination and ensure they're getting better when they die ever closer to the final goal. So, unless it tricks players into biting off more than they can chew with "just one more hit" when the boss seemingly has only 1 HP left, then there's nothing bad about this specific kind of HUD.
Neither the bosses in the original Hollow Knight nor the ones in Hollow Knight Silksong feature health bars. This is fine for expert players doing reruns and speedruns because they always have a good sense of how much a boss can take, but it sucks for the mere mortals who aren't great yet, especially during their initial playthroughs. Dealing with a boss without knowing how close they are to taking it down is a missed opportunity that denies players the motivation that is both helpful and just feels great all around.
Silksong could do even better than boss health bars
Sure, there are mods because players have been begging, and the exclusion of these indicators isn't a problem per se. And while health bars certainly give us a sense of progression, there are other ways to convey boss progression, such as showing an enemy's armor breaking down, bruises, or bleeding.
Dark Souls has health bars for bosses, as everyone knows. Still, some of its bosses also feature visible tells, and these result in some of the most iconic moments in the series. How can anyone forget Sif struggling to even walk towards the player as he nears death?
Though a massive success, Silksong is an indie game made by just a handful of people. A wide array of animations and models to convey the bosses' health state is a big ask, but, well, a simple health bar that would help everyone really isn't. Although I think modern games can achieve the same effect as a boss health bar in more immersive manners, it still beats what Silksong currently has.
Currently, Silksong asks players to perform multiple leaps of faith until the boss dies, which could lead some players to ragequit forever, unaware they truly were just one hit away from victory. That could prove problematic going forward, as Silksong isn't a walk in the park, and player review scores have been declining as the less adept newcomers are finding it too challenging for their liking.

The third update of the year is arriving soon in Minecraft, and it promises to bring a wave of exciting new features to explore. The Copper Age update is finally giving copper some actually helpful uses, so it's a big one.
Minecraft doesn't get new updates very often, so whenever one approaches, you'll likely want to be prepared to jump in as soon as possible. If you're looking forward to this one, here's when the Copper Age update will be released and all the new features it's bringing to Minecraft.
Table of contents
When is Minecraft Copper Age update releasing?
![]()
The official release date for The Copper Age update hasn't been revealed yet, but since it was originally called the Fall 2025 drop, it's slated to release sometime between September and November. The latest update we got on the release date is in the official update name announcement post, which only mentioned that it will be "out later this year."
We'll likely get an official release date in the coming months, so as soon as we do, we'll update all relevant details here. For now, though, you can jump right into a Java snapshot or a Bedrock beta to start testing out all of the exciting new additions.
All Minecraft Copper Age update features
As the name of this update hints, The Copper Age update is focused on enhancing the uses for copper in Minecraft. This includes adding new copper gear, a friendly new copper creature, and much more. Here's a full breakdown of all key features that have been revealed so far.
Copper Golem and copper chest
The Copper Golem is a new mob you can make and have around for assistance. This mob can be created by placing a carved pumpkin on top of a copper block. They spawn with a copper chest, which you can place an item in to have the Copper Golem sort into other chests. They're great allies for organizing your base.
Over time, the Copper Golem will slowly oxidize and change color. Upon reaching the final oxidation stage, this creature will retire and turn into a decorative statue, assuming one of four unique poses. If you miss your friend and want them back, they can be scraped with an axe to revive them. If you act before they turn into a statue, you can wax your Copper Golem with honeycomb to prevent further oxidation. This creature also has some unique interactions with the Iron Golem.
Copper tools, weapons, and armor
![]()
A complete new gear set made entirely out of copper is featured in this update. This includes copper tools, weapons, and armor, which means you can have a full getup made solely out of this material. Copper gear falls right between stone and iron, making it better than leather, gold, stone, and chainmail, but worse than iron, diamond, and netherite. It's pretty average and a solid set to use while you work on acquiring better items.
New shelf
The handy new shelf block allows you to display up to three items at once. You can also connect multiple shelves together, allowing for a much longer, seamless shelf if desired. This item is quite helpful for labeling chests, displaying prized possessions, or decorating, giving you plenty of new ways to play.
More copper blocks
There are some new decorative copper blocks you can craft with this update, granting even more ways to use this resource. This includes copper lanterns, copper torches, copper chains, and copper bars.
Dye art
All of the dye art icons have received a makeover. This redesign is meant to make them easier to identify and distinguish from one another by granting all unique dye colors a different shape.
While you wait for this update to arrive, there are plenty of other tasks that can keep you busy in the meantime. You might try getting the Lava Chicken music disc, turning on Vibrant Visuals, and using the player locator bar.

Hollow Knight Silksong inheriting the Steel Soul mode (aka Permadeath) from the first game was a little-known secret.
If you glanced at the list of achievements, you would know that permadeath mode is present in the game. The main question was: how do you unlock it? Incredibly enough, you can unlock it quickly with some trickery, which also involves a Konami code easter egg.
Table of contents
How to get Steel Soul mode in Hollow Knight Silksong?
In case you don't know, the Steel Soul mode is an incredibly difficult way to play the game. If you die while playing in this mode, it's game over. You'll have to start from the beginning, no matter how far you managed to get.
There are two ways to unlock the mode.
The first method will take a lot of time, making the second method more feasible. Moreover, you can unlock the Steel Soul mode using the code right after starting the game.

How to unlock Steel Soul mode with a code in Hollow Knight Silksong?
To try out this method, open the game and let it load. Don't start a new game or resume your save. Instead, choose the Extras option from the main screen.
In my experience, using this method with your Keyboard is much easier than using your LS. If you're successful, the screen flashes wide, and the Steel Soul difficulty will be available to select. Do note that you'll have to start fresh if you want to play in permadeath mode.

It may be a reference to Stray and Little Kitty, Big City, but there's no real explanation given as to why there are cats wandering around Cronos: The New Dawn and how they managed to survive The Change.
Listen for the meows of each cat above the noise of the Orphans' groans and cries. These feline friends not only intrigue the Warden, but they're here to keep the trophy hunters busy and your inventory full for conflict areas and boss fights.
Here is where to find all cats in Cronos: The New Dawn to unlock The Catfinder achievement.
Table of contents
Cronos: The New Dawn cat locations
The reason to find the 10 cats littered around New Dawn's past and present is not only because they count towards an achievement, but also because each drops a valuable item. From Cores to Keys, the Cronos cats are here to help you in more ways than one. Acting as a breath of fresh air and a break away from pure survival, your feline companions wait for your arrival and reward you upon patting their heads.
Here are all Cronos cats, found in chronological order.
Berówka
After picking up the Shop Key and defeating the hardened Orphan, you unlock the door and head downstairs. The first cat, Berówka, is waiting at the bottom of the stairs to offer you a Shell Patch (Small). The Underground Station safe room is behind this cat.
Mela
Don't head back to the apartment elevator when you pick up the Bolt Cutters. Instead, leave the Hardware Store after you defeated the first large Orphan and acquired the Bolt Cutters, and turn onto the path to your right. Use the Bolt Cutters on the door at the dead end to find Mela. Then use the Traveler's Seal Key inside the Block 34 Outpost (apartment building safe room) to get a Core and other supplies to prepare you for the first boss fight upstairs.
Karol
Head to the playground when you're returning to The Shelter after picking up the key. You can follow the cat most of the way, but Karol will be waiting at the kids' playground in case you missed her.
Cynamon
![]()
Go into the now-unlocked room opposite the train after restoring power to the generators. This is when the objective is to 'head to the Steelworks' to extract Artur. The tram has a Predecessor inside with the Essence, Lidia Marcel. Check the room opposite the tram before you leave. You must restore both generators to unlock the door and reach Cynamon.
Merlin
Use the Gravity Boots to reach the Furnace Control Room so you can begin your ascent to the Dive Point in The Isolation Zone. You should see Merlin run into the small building, and you need to jump down and follow him.
Balbina
After finding the Switchgear so you can launch the Ascendance Sequence to talk to Artur (or Gabriel), head back to where you came from (rather than returning to the Terminal). Enter the locker room that now has a green light above the doorframe. Balbina is in there.
Gus
Defeat the Orphans inside the conflict area when the objective is "head for the hospital in Sector A-0." Use the Gravity Boots to get through the floating building until you need to shoot off two wooden planks to reach the next platform. This will take you straight to Gus.
Bebola
Get the Access Card from the left side of the Administration in A-0 Unity Hospital. Use the card on the Operating Theater door, near Administration (downstairs leads to the Morgue). Go to the end of this corridor where multiple Orphans attack you, avoiding or shooting them, to then pass through a knocked-over filing cabinet at the dead end. This will take you to Bebola and to one of the Chalices you need for the Hospital puzzle.
India
Head to the Shopping Center from Station B Outpost, using the Bolt Cutters on the locked door opposite the conflict area. The cat in question is inside the Station B Outpost safe room, inaccessible on this side. You need to make your way around and defeat the two large Orphans that spawn near the Kiosk door. An armored Orphan breaks down the door opposite the Kiosk, revealing a room with a generator you need to restore power to. This unlocks the Kiosk, where squeezing through the gap leads to India, giving you the Toy Shop Key as a reward.
Freya
Head to the Cemetery from The Abbey safe room, and unlock the tomb with the Bolt Cutters (before you approach the Orphan horde hallucination). There's a hole you can squeeze through on your immediate right, taking you directly to Freya, who'll drop Father Wojciech's Office Key. You can then get the Bell Tower Key to unlock the final weapon in Cronos.

One of the many quests in Hollow Knight Silksong requires you to find a strange substance called Plasmium, which can be hard to locate.
The Alchemist's Assistant quest is triggered when you meet the Alchemist in Wormways, which is an area that could take a few hours for you to reach. When you meet Zylotol for the first time, he will ask you to find three Plasmium samples, spread all around Wormways.
This guide will help you find them quite easily, and it's advisable to follow the same order mentioned here.
Table of contents
How to find all Plasmium in Hollow Knight Silksong
There are a couple of prerequisites for finding the samples. You'll need to have unlocked Wormways first, which is obvious. Before collecting the samples, equip the Needle Phial in your trap slot. Without doing so, you won't be able to collect the Plasmium samples.
Two of the three samples are pretty far off, while one is near the Alchemist's room. The samples are hard to miss in the dark thanks to their bright blue glow.
![]()
First Plasmium location
Once you leave the Alchemist room, go downwards and to the left to go past the falling worms. Keep going until you reach a small hill. Use your cloak's float ability to move towards the blue light on your right (look for an alcove near the light).
After reaching the location, activate and charge the phial until it's full to collect the Plasmium.
Second Plasmium location
We can now move towards getting the remaining two Plasmium samples located at the bottom of the Wormways. Travel two rooms down from where the Alchemist is located. You'll reach an area where your surroundings are dark, and there's an entrance. Use the entrance, and keep travelling right.
You'll come across a set of corridors; go down through them, and reach an area with moss. Keep travelling to the right, and you'll get the second sample location.
Third Plasmium location
To get the third sample, you'll need to go left and downwards from the second sample. Keep travelling left, and you encounter a small enemy and a few spikes. From there, go up and then left to the next room. You'll have to use your dash to skip the falling worms. Keep going left, and you'll eventually hit a wall.
Use your Wall Climb ability to slide down to a platform (there are spikes to avoid). Break the wall on your left, follow the path using the platforms, and once again slide down to reach the final location.
Once you have found all three samples and returned them to the assistant, you'll be rewarded with a new charm named Plasmium Vial. This item offers a temporary mask of health when you activate it, despite being a trap.

Infinity Nikki is one of those games I've been wanting to check out for a long time, but never really had the time to fit in until now. The recent Stardew Valley collaboration finally gave me the push I needed to dive in. Ironically, it ended up being the weakest part of the experience—and yet, I kept playing anyway.
What originally made me want to try this game out turned out to be one of the least interesting aspects of it, but Infinfty Nikki's stellar gameplay kept me captivated beyond it. The Stardew Valley crossover alone wouldn't have kept me playing, but luckily, there's a lot to love outside of it.
![]()
To reach the Stardew Valley content, I first had to work through many entry quests. These missions took a decent chunk of time to complete, and I slowly chipped away at them over a few days. Since I had to put in quite a bit of work to unlock the event, my hopes were rather high. So imagine my surprise when it turned out to be barely five minutes' worth of content that was over before it even began.
In this event, a Junimo appears near Nikki's house and mistakes her for the farmer from Stardew Valley. You're then asked to plant and grow a crop, talk to the Junimo, give them a gift, they reciprocate, and then they leave. Even if you navigate through this event rather slowly, it's still not more than 10 minutes of content, and that's stretching it to the max.
Stardew Valley doesn't do collaborations very often, so it just feels like a missed opportunity. Calling it an event is generous, and for all intents and purposes, the items given by the Junimo really could've just been sent in the mail, and it would've felt basically the same.
![]()
Taking stellar photos is one of the key gameplay elements in Infinity Nikki, yet you're not even given a chance to snap some pictures with the Junimo before they leave. Luckily, I decided to take a few between the mini event missions, but if I hadn't, I would've missed the opportunity entirely.
Fully finishing the event mission gets you a Stardew Valley Encounter outfit that includes a hairstyle, dress, socks, shoes, headwear, choker, chest accessory, and backpiece. You also get a small chicken gramophone to place around your home, and can unlock some music and a bonus hair clip by interacting with it.
The prizes are nice, but since this collaboration was advertised as an event, I expected a lot more from it. With what it actually is, it should've been marketed as just a free giveaway with a couple of goodies given to all players. Events promise multiple quests, rewards you have to work hard to earn, and depth, all of which were missing here.
I don't know what exactly I would've wanted from this crossover, but I know it was a missed opportunity to do more. More furniture items, perhaps including items like a Junimo plushie or hut, and interacting with characters from the game in a series of quests seem like a good starting point, though. Especially wacky ones like Krobus and the Wizard, who would've fit into the mysterious world of Infinity Nikki quite well. The Junimo was a good starting point, but there's so much more that should've come over from Pelican Town, too.
![]()
What makes this crossover even worse is the dialogue that went with it. This super short interaction ends with Nikki saying something along the lines of how she'll never forget this event, which feels ridiculous since nothing happened, and it was over in about five minutes.
I'm completely hooked on Infinity Nikki now, but it's not at all thanks to the Stardew Valley crossover. This collaboration event had so much potential, but it really fell flat, and even calling it an event at all feels generous. Maybe there's hope for a more meaningful part two in the future. Until then, I'll be happily lost in Infinity Nikki for its own merits—despite the letdown that brought me here in the first place.
