These are the main ingredients for Fallout 76's Burning Springs map expansion, which is set to arrive in early December this year. In case you weren't clear as to how Bethesda are pitching it, a hands-off preview attended by RPS saw 76 creative director Jon Rush introduce Burning Springs thusly: "Based on the success of season one of the Fallout Show, we can expect to see several million players returning to Appalachia for season two. People [who] have seen the show and want more of that storytelling, more of that New Vegas feel will get it all in Fallout 76: Burning Springs. That's not necessarily a bad thing: many players rightly took issue with Bethesda providing very little fresh Fallout to jump into after they watched the show's debut series last year. However, Burning Springs, with its "total tonal tandem" with the upcoming season two, seemingly represents a U-turn for how Bethesda see their online survival-ish RPG meshing with the TV series - and how they might capitalise on the boom in Fallout popularity that it's helped usher in. |

The Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth JRPG and follow-up game Hacker's Memory ended up being two of the best titles based on the series in recent years and, fortunately, Bandai Namco is continuing that trend with Digimon Story: Time Stranger. It's really compelling and does some fun things by allowing us to explore both the human and Digimon worlds, solve a mystery that sends us back in time, and tap into a "collect 'em all" element by giving us tons of characters to collect. I feel like it's a strong follow-up to its predecessors.
Digimon Story: Time Stranger kicks off in the present, with our ADAMAS member avatar (either Dan or Kanan) investigating a major anomaly in Shinjuku. Part of the city has been walled off for years, and strange lifeforms have been cited as the cause of anomalies throughout the city. Our job is to investigate and protect civilians, which is difficult since there's for some reason an anime also based on people who wear outfits like ours? Upon heading in to provide aid to someone who somehow was authorized to contact our Digivice, we find a young woman who claims to know us. She insists we need to get to the top of the government building to aid someone else. When we get there, a massive explosion kicks off and we find ourselves eight years in the past. Our contact in the present (the person we didn't select as our character) said the whole world is heading toward destruction as the result of that event. Coincidentally, we officially "meet" that strange girl in the past after rescuing her! We end up staying with Inori and her father, meeting Aegiomon, and getting involved with a conflict between worlds to protect everyone and everything.
If you played Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and its sequel, then Digimon Story: Time Stranger should feel relatively familiar as the game follows a similar sort of pattern. We begin by exploring Tokyo in the human world, encountering hostile Digimon in certain set areas or encounters, then eventually also gain access to the Digital World. There are quite a few areas to explore and, when you hit certain exit points, there are fast travel options to certain spots. (I preferred running and exploring, as there are a lot of incidental items you can pick up along the way for the DigiFarm or battles.) I will say that I think Iliad is the more visually interesting of the two. Human NPCs are rather nondescript and uninteresting and the human world, though generally accurate, felt a bit bland compared to the more vibrant and unusual Digital World. Though, that could also be because it was fun to see Digimon around and the effort put into ensuring those areas feel different, and the DigiRide mount system is fun.
Combat involves turn-based battles, and there's also a means of gaining initiative that feels really satisfying. When exploring, you can "investigate" to search for breakable walls, materials, or chests or send out a Digimon to attack. (There are even times when you'll need ones with certain elemental capabilities to trigger a situation.) The "attack" option can also be used on a Digimon seen in the field in a "dungeon" style situation. If the opponent is weak enough, you automatically get the experience for your characters and Convert data that builds toward acquiring it yourself. If it isn't enough to defeat it, you'll enter the turn-based fight, but will find the enemies' HP affected or fewer there because of your initial assault. It's great! (Also, said experience earned applies to the three characters in the front of your party, the three in reserve, and ones that happen to be in your general on-hand storage.)
![]()
![]()
During fights, UI is clear, the pacing is pretty good, and there are a lot of attacking options. Each character has innate Special Skills they just know. You can equip Attachment Skills, regardless of their innate type, to bolster a build. It's also possible to assign two pieces of equipment to each character. You can have them attack, use a skill, or guard, and it is also possible to have your agent change to a different reserve Digimon of the three on hand or use an item for that round. After using a Digimon for a while, it's also possible for an attack to multi-hit. You select actions on each character's turn. It's also possible to use a Cross Art to support your allies or attack if you spent Anomaly Points on Agent Skills, with even the initial Cross Art: Field ability that boosts stats for two turns being pretty great. I will say I appreciated being able to speed up animations once I hit around the ten hour mark, as battles started featuring full parties and lots of attack animations.
The Convert and Digivolution systems also really make Digimon Story: Time Strange feel compelling and encourage battling without making the grind feel too all-consuming. Requirements to reach new evolutions are quite clear, and they're typically reasonable given we can reach many by leveling up, others by saving and using items to bolster stats, and use the DigiFarm to influence builds. There's a handy history on a character's profile page, so you can see evolutions and devolutions. I will say the wait to reach Agent Rank 3 to finally Digivolve my starter felt like it took forever considering how many others I got to level up before that point, but the requirements feel like they make sense, are reasonable, and keep you from ending up being OP too early. (Unless you use the early unlock Special Agumon and Gabumon.) I do wish the requirements for Digivolving would be visible in DigiFarm, since I used that for filling gaps in my collection, and I think that could get tedious for completionists.
![]()
![]()
The funny thing is that I feel like the odd quirks in Digimon Story: Time Stranger are the things that get to be the biggest issues. There's a notification system that can alert you to sidequests or opportunities to automatically renew training at the DigiFarm. That's handy! Except I found those notifications go by far too quickly for me to catch and press the shortcut to immediately respond without going into the menu. And even if I did go into the menu, the UI isn't great about letting you know which ones are new and need addressing. The game also isn't great at letting you know when the three active Digimon in your party around you are able to talk so you can influence their personality! Sometimes, if I moved too suddenly in a dungeon style space where they would appear, I'd see a conversation icon pop up, but if I turned to face them, the prompt wouldn't show. I'd really need to find a clear, open, safe space and sometimes inch around folks to trigger the option. The story pacing can feel a bit off at times, especially during the first five hours, so it takes a bit of time to "pick up" even though everything going on can be pretty interesting! Speaking of pacing, it's also a bit annoying when for "story reasons" our avatar is prevented from running at their typical gait and forced to walk. (Though this doesn't happen all that often.)
It also bothered me that our character is a silent protagonist. Dan and Kanan both have voice actors when you don't choose one of them and they act as a supporting cast member. But once you select your avatar, you'll see their mouth move after selecting dialogue options. They're clearly saying the line you chose. However, Bandai Namco didn't choose to actually have them be voiced. So there will be these awkward gaps in conversations where we'll "watch" them respond and everyone else will talk, but they never speak. I get not voicing everything, but some critical story moment audio clips would have been nice.
Also annoying is that the Jogmon card game in Digimon Story: Time Stranger isn't fun! I was so excited when a kid wanted me to pass along a deck to Aegiomon. Digimon Card Game is great, if you've never had a chance to try it, and I hoped that maybe this meant a "lite" version of it would be included. Nope! What's here is really bland and involves fake Digivices and cards representing characters with different power levels and types assigned to them. You drop one on your device on your turn and hope it's stronger than the other. It lasts five rounds, with one card played each round and "winning" or "losing," and the side with the most wins… wins. The aesthetics for the devices and character sprites are great, but it's so disappointing.
Though those elements are annoying, playing Digimon Story: Time Stranger on a handheld gaming PC isn't! I played on a Lenovo Legion Go, and it felt absolutely perfect. The framerate seemed pretty consistent throughout, which was my main concern, and it felt like it stayed around 60fps. It looked great too. The textures are on-point and all of the Digimon especially "popped."
Some minor hiccups aside, Digimon Story: Time Stranger is both a solid game in the series and the kind of JRPG that incentivizes experimentation due to the range of characters available. I loved playing around with Digivolution and the DigiFarm to create some exceptional allies. It was a shame that there are some minor pacing issues and notifications might not do as good of a job actually notifying me about things. There's a strong foundation here with a lot of potential to build well-rounded armies of Digimon to help you face all of the game's challenges.
Digimon Story: Time Stranger will come to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 3, 2025.

Bandai Namco has published more details on the upcoming Ace Combat 30th anniversary concert. The company has also opened the first wave of lottery sales of the Ace Combat/S The Symphony 30th Anniversary tickets for Smart Ticket users in Japan, which will cost ¥12,000 (~$81.60) apiece.
Some of the series' titles that will have their tracks represented in this concert will be Ace Combat 2, Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies, Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War, Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War, Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.
The company had previously held the first orchestra concert in October 2021, and it used to form an original orchestra group with the series' composer Keiki Kobayashi as the conductor. For the new concert, Bandai Namco will enlist the services of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, led by the seasoned conductor Hirofumi Kurita. A special band will also appear to perform the rock tracks from Ace Combat 2 and other entries.
However, while the 2021 concert was available worldwide via online streaming, Bandai Namco has yet to confirm whether the upcoming 2026 concert will be available to watch outside the physical venue.
Additionally, Bandai Namco set up the concert's logo in such a way that it leaves a spot for an unannounced game. The company has been working on a new Ace Combat game with ILCA since 2021. The announcements during the series' 30th anniversary day on June 30, 2025, also included development scenes for the new game as a teaser.
The Ace Combat/S The Symphony 30th Anniversary concert will take place at the Saitama Kaikan Grand Hall in Japan on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Weak Legacy 2 works similar to Blox Fruits in terms of trainers where they're all scattered around the open world. So you'll need to find trainers for all Breathing techniques and Blood Demon Arts you want. That said, it's more forgiving since some are grouped together. Here are all trainer Locations in Weak Legacy 2.
Table of contents
All Breathing Trainer Locations in Weak Legacy 2
Breathing Trainers are split between the original spawn Starting Village, Snow Village and the Slayer HQ. I'll go step by step on how to find them all and if they're near each other, I'll put them into one entry. Here are all Breathing trainer locations in Weak Legacy 2.
Flame Breathing Trainer Location
![]()
The Flame Breathing trainer is the easiest one to find since he's right near the original spawn point in the Starter Village. Just look around for the Rengoku icon. He's toward the back of the village next to a tall building.
Moon & Serpent Trainer Locations
The trainer for one of the most powerful Breathing techniques in Weak Legacy 2, Moon, is right in front of the Starter Village spawn on the hill. Head outside of the village and climb the hill straight ahead of the gate. Kokushibo the Moon Trainer will be right on the left while the Serpent Trainer is near to the right.
Sun Trainer Location
Yoriichi the Sun Trainer is near Kokushibo the Moon Breathing trainer so check out how to reach the Moon Trainer above. Then, from the Moon Trainer location just keep heading forward across the hill without falling down to where the road is. Eventually you'll reach Yoriichi the Sun Trainer standing beneath a tree.
Thunder & Mist Trainer Locations
Both the Thunder and Mist Trainers are in the Snow Village which is to the right of the Starting Village as you leave the gate. Just keep heading right from the Starting Village until you reach the snow biome and then the Snow Village. Thunder and Mist Trainers will be highlighted as soon as you enter.
Sonic, Flower, Insect, Water, Wind & Love Trainer Locations
All of these trainers are in the Slayer HQ Village which you can reach by following the road outside of the Starter Village. You just leave the village gate and then go slightly to the left and then forward along the road. The icons for all these trainers will light up as soon as you reach the Slayer HQ.
All Demon Blood Art Trainer Locations in Weak Legacy 2
All the Demon Blood Art trainers in Weak Legacy 2 are grouped up in a single location which is Snow Village. Well, two locations that are extremely near one another. From the Starting Village spawn just head outside of the gate and then go right until you reach the Snow Village.
Cryokinesis, Exploding Blood, Hiasobi Temari & Arrow Trainer Locations
All of these trainers are located in the Snow Village which is reached by heading outside of the Starting Village spawn and heading right. Cryokinesis is in the small house just outside of the Snow Village while the rest are more toward the center, as you'll with their icons in the image.
Dream, Speed, Emotion, Obi, Sickle, Dark Thunder, String & Destructive Death Trainer Locations
If you're a demon player every trainer for the Demon Blood Art is grouped next to the Snow Village. Just go to the Snow Village which is to the right of the starting spawn. Then once you reach it all of these trainers are just standing around outside of the Snow Village in a row next to the hill as in the image.
Other Useful Trainer Locations in Weak Legacy 2
Last but not least here are some miscellaneous trainer locations like Fighting Styles. Fighting Styles are just supplements and additions to your other movesets. Also, in this list you can find the Slayer Pillar for your Slayer Mark as well as how to become a Demon in Weak Legacy 2 and get Demon Regeneration.
Ascetic Blaze Fighting Style Trainer Location
![]()
The Ascetic Blaze trainer is behind a couple of buildings which are right outside of the Starting Village spawn. You just go out of the gate and head sharply to the left until you see some buildings outside of the village walls. He's behind one of them as in the picture.
Ice Katana Fighting Style Trainer Location
The Ice Katana Fighting Style in Weak Legacy 2 is just at the start of the snow biome on a little hill. As you approach from the Starting Village spawn and enter the snow area look for it to the left of the house in the picture. You can also orient yourself from the Snow Village since it's right in front of the Cryomancer Demon Art trainer.
Soryu Fighting Style Trainer Location
The Soryu Fighting Style trainer is in Little Village which is to the left of the Starting Village by just following the road outside of the Starter gate to the left. His icon is a blue fist and once you enter the village you cannot miss it.
Become Demon & Demon Regeneration Location
To become a demon you have to speak to Muzan aka the Become Demon NPC. He's among the Demon Blood Art trainers in a row so just check out how to reach the Dream, Speed, Emotion, etc., trainers. He's the last NPC in that row. The Demon Regeneration trainer is in the same location as the Dream, Speed, Emotion, etc., trainers and the Become Demon trainer. Check any of those entries above to find him.
Slayer Pillar/Slayer Mark Location
![]()
The Slayer Pillar Trainer to get your Slayer Mark is in the Starting Village spawn behind the building where the Set Spawn Location NPC is. You can't miss him.
Weak Legacy 2 Map Guide
![]()
This is the full Weak Legacy 2 map with maps of the main areas. I've been using it throughout the article but here it is as a standalone image for a pseudo summary of the article. You can use the main locations to orient yourself like the Starting Village original spawn. Here are all the trainer locations divided by the main areas:

One of the best introductions to the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration in Monster Hunter Wilds is having your own Chocobo.
No, we still have to rely on our trusted Seikrets to travel across the map. However, they can now resemble the fluffy birds from the world of Final Fantasy, all thanks to the new My Little Chocobo outfit. Rewarded as part of the latest collaboration, you can use the outfit to completely change your Seikret's looks.

How to get the My Little Chocobo outfit in Monster Hunter Wilds
The new collaboration has plenty of Final Fantasy-themed rewards. We already had a heads-up about getting the Chocobo skin back in earlier weeks when the trailer dropped. However, we can finally obtain the skin after Title Update 3 went live in Monster Hunter Wilds.
To win the skin, you'll have to complete Extra Mission 5. This quest has two tasks - A Peak Predicament and Invader From the Stars. The two tasks require you to take down Omega Planetes, the new enemy added as part of the collab. You can complete the task by slaying the normal variant of Omega Planetes.

Once done, you'll get plenty of rewards, including the My Little Chocobo Outfit. You can then equip it on your Seikret to change its looks.
How to equip the Chocobo skin in Monster Hunter Wilds
Once you have unlocked the skin, go to your Base Camp (or the Grand Hub). Go to your tent, and complete the following steps:

Several customization options are also available for this skin.
While using the outfit doesn't give you any in-game advantages, you can listen to the iconic Chocobo theme from the original Final Fantasy XIV. There's no deadline for unlocking this skin, as it's a permanent addition to Monster Hunter Wilds.

Tony McZoom is a pretty unique character in Megabonk, but mastering him can be tricky.
The character has its own share of strengths and weaknesses. You can add him by unlocking his weapon and completing any two challenges of your liking. Let's look at how to build him efficiently in the game and maximise his strengths.
Table of contents
How to unlock Tony McZoom in Megabonk
You'll have to complete any two challenges in Megabonk to clear one of the two unlock conditions. The challenge can be any two of your liking. To access challenges, clear the tier 1 map with any available character.
You can then start a tier 1 run with any one challenge enabled. Complete the requirement, and repeat the process. You'll also need to gain access to Wireless Dagger. For this part, you'll need to reach Level 15 on any single run with Lightning Staff. This isn't a difficult task, as the Lightning Staff is a strong weapon. It works well with most builds, and you'll want to target a run that stretches for around 30 minutes to clear the condition.
Once both tasks are done, Tony McZoom can be unlocked from the shop.
Best Megabonk Tony McZoom build
Tony McZoom is a pretty mobile character who does plenty of damage to compensate for his lack of defence. The build below will help you to enhance his strengths and bypass the limitations of his kit.
Wireless Dagger is a projectile-based weapon that throws smart knives at enemies. It has a decent range, but you can improve that further. It also has a unique passive by creating a charged attack around McZoom as he floats on his hoverboard. The passive also grants him 2% Pickup Range per level.
![]()
Like all other characters in the game, McZoom also benefits from levelling up quickly. This is the main reason behind my selection of Aura, but Lightning Staff should be equally good. Wireless Dagger is strong, but not strong enough to solo carry you against more challenging enemies. Aegis is a decent shout if you want a solid option in the latter stages, when enemy spawn rates will be higher.
Projectile Speed, Quantity, and Size are almost mandatory if you're going for a Wireless Dagger + Lightning Staff build. It raises the number of projectiles you fire while increasing the velocity of each shot. Having larger projectiles helps take down stronger enemies with greater damage.
If you opt for Agility, go with Turbo Socks and Turbo Skates. While one boosts the movement speed, the other converts the additional speed into damage. Forbidden Juice helps raise the crit chance rate, while Gym Saunce is an excellent boost to all forms of damage.
Ultimately, Tony McZoom isn't the easiest of characters to master. It takes a fair amount of time to unlock him. His movement patterns are slightly haphazard in nature, adding to the difficulty. My build, however, will help you to negate his weaknesses well, and you shouldn't have any problem using him on higher-tier maps.

The UK Pokémon National History Collaboration was set to go live immediately, allowing those lucky enough to receive an early ticket allocation the chance to sign up and join. However, as expected, the link and site are broken before it even began.
If anyone tries to click the link, they will be met by a 404 error, denying them access to get their tickets due to an apparent wrong hyperlink, which kinda sucks for those who wanted to book tickets to the venue, like myself, to get some exclusive merch before scalpers likely came in and swooped it all.
And trust me, Destructoid, I have tried a workaround for this for the past 30 minutes easily. Checking social media to see if anyone has found a workaround, changing individual parts of the link, and contacting customer support, only to be met by the usual AI bot. Nothing is working and as the clock ticks away before public access get to buy the tickets some of us were lucky enough to have been able to get early access to, you have to ask what Pokémon will do, if anything, to rectify this situation.
For those unaware of the upcoming event, Pokémon is teaming up with the British National History Museum in early 2026 for a timed event showcasing something and offering a range of exclusive merchandise to ticket holders (although, thankfully, no Pokémon cards will be included, unlike the Van Gogh Museum event). Trainers could sign up ahead of time to get a chance to get tickets before the public sale, and a few people who were lucky enough are now having issues.
Update 5:27 a.m. CT: The site has finally sent a link, but now everyone is stuck in a virtual queue for who knows how long, hoping to secure a spot, and it might all be sold out by the time we get in there. So, Arceus speed, trainers! Wishing you the best of luck!

There's just something about listening to your favorite music in a public setting and forcing it upon the ears of others. Roblox has turned this real-world nuisance into a series of games on its platform.
Using a database of uploaded songs, players can input Song IDs to blast their song of choice directly into the ears of strangers all over the world. Here are some of the best.
Table of contents
Best songs for Roblox 2025
Prior to a change in March 2022, users could upload virtually any audio file and have it be playable in any game that supported the boombox via a Song ID. The change retroactively made any audio longer than six seconds private. This meant that if you weren't the person who had originally uploaded the audio file, you would no longer be able to play or hear the sound.
![]()
This means the vast majority of Song ID repositories are now functionally useless, and users have been restricted to a much smaller selection of songs and sound clips of varying quality. One important thing to know is that there's no guarantee that any individual Song ID may work, as they can be made private by either Roblox staff or the user who uploaded it.
Below are 30 absolute bangers to entertain yourself and possibly others around you. I have personally confirmed that each is working at the time of this writing. Go forth, aspiring DJs!
How to search for Song IDs in Roblox
To search for music codes on Roblox, follow these steps:
You'll discover many sections on the Audio page, from the top Roblox Song IDs to the newest hits of the day. After you find a song, you can get its ID through 'More Info.' Discover the correct number from your URL. For instance, mine came out to 'create.roblox.com/store/asset/75793628822368/Mirage-Portal.' Thus, the bolded numbers would be utilized as the Song ID.
How to use music codes in Roblox
Playing music in Roblox varies in each game, as they all have different methods. Sometimes, it can cost money with Robux, while other times, it doesn't cost a thing. To play music for free, play Catalog Heaven, a game that allows you to customize your avatar and battle nearby bases. Once you start playing, select 'Catalog' and type in Boombox. There will be a few choices here, including the Boombox Gear 3.0 and Golden Super Fly Boombox. Choose one of them to trigger a prompt to enter Roblox music codes.
![]()
Tap on the Boombox again if you want to change songs. You can also stop the music by unequipping it in your inventory. Besides Catalog Heaven, you can see if other games permit music. I discovered that Jailbreak features a Car Stereo mechanic, costing 200 Robux. With this title, you can type in 'R' or tap the radio on the bottom-right corner of the screen. Then, enter any Song ID you prefer to listen to some tunes on Jailbreak.
![]()
For the most part, it seems like Roblox titles that use music codes require a subscription pass. Therefore, if you're unsure whether your game is compatible, check the title's Subscription & Passes section to see if there's a radio or stereo feature.
Can I create custom music playlists in Roblox?
Only Roblox game developers can create custom music playlists. It's associated with a tool used in scripting to create soundtracks for various worlds. If you're a player, you must manually enter each ID to make your own version of a playlist.

Ogre might be one of the weaker characters in Megabonk, but you can certainly use him competitively with the correct build.
Ogre has plenty of issues, which largely stem from his default build. He is slow, lacks damage potential, and doesn't have the best defenses. This makes it crucial for you to build him properly to have any chances of success.
Table of contents
How to unlock Ogre in Megabonk
Ogre has a relatively straightforward set of unlock conditions involving killing 15,000 goblins cumulatively. This is a simple task, but it will take some time depending on your luck, build, and average duration of your runs.
You'll also need to kill 2,000 enemies to unlock the Axe, Ogre's signature weapon. You'll need to kill the required number of enemies with the Sword to get the Axe. Use Sir Oofie to complete this task without any issues.
Let's look at what I consider the best Ogre build in Megabonk.
Best Megabonk Ogre build
The table below has all the components to make Ogre strong in the meta.
The primary aim of this build is to help Ogre level up quicker, which will scale up with Axe's passive. The passive provides +1% damage at every level, with a maximum possible pool of +50% damage. This is also a significant reason you should choose Aura as the second-best choice.
![]()
Not only does Aura take care of enemies close to Ogre, but it also provides him with passive XP. These XP will make up for Ogre's early-game sluggishness. You can also go for Aegis, which protects him and damages the enemy when they attack.
For range, both Bone and Lightning Staff are great choices. I am particularly fond of the former, but the shocks provided by Lightning Staff can be beneficial.
For tomes, I have opted out of Damage. His passive with Axe takes care of that, so I have instead gone for Attack Speed. This improves the Axe's damage and allows Ogre to do more damage. Your next best choices are Duration and Size. The former extends the life of Axe, while the latter enlarges them (resulting in more damage).
While there's relative freedom with the items you can use with Ogre, the Beefy Ring and Gym Sauce will be important. Beefy Ring allows you to scale up the max HP of Ogre while the heals damage enemies. Gym Saunce provides a sweet +10% damage boost from every source.
You can either go for Moldy Cheese (to do poison damage) or Turbo Socks (for better mobility). Just remember to be extremely cautious, as Ogre is a low-tier character in the current meta. You'll need to be patient and concentrate on farming for the early part of the game.
If you're looking for the best builds, check out this list to clear the toughest of challenges without any problems.

Bush is arguably one of the most fun characters in Megabonk, but he's also hard to master.
Most of the characters in the game thrive when you take a direct approach with them. Bush is a sniper, so you'll have to use him accordingly. His builds involve landing accurate shots to create maximum damage.
Table of contents
How to unlock Bush in Megabonk
Bush isn't available by default in Megabonk but is relatively easy to find. However, you must win a strong boss fight to add him to the roster. You'll have to track and find Bush in the Forest. Next, there will be a boss waiting to spawn in the region.
Look for areas with dense tree coverage to meet Bush. Areas with open foliage can be avoided since he won't be there. Defeating the boss is necessary to add the sniper to your roster.
Best Megabonk Bush build
With Bush, you'll want to hit slow and hard. His builds involve manually aiming his signature weapon for the most damage.
Bush might be fun, but his build is highly rigid. There's no other option apart from playing as a Sniper. His primary weapon fires a piercing bullet that can travel through multiple enemies if they're directly behind one another.
![]()
It also makes sense to hit as many enemies as you can. You'll have to use the manual aim to hit Marked enemies. These are random enemies marked at random, and hitting them will cause them to explode. The explosion can convert into AoE damage if you're targeting a swarm.
Ideally, you'll have to use weapons with good range. Bow and Revolver are good choices, but don't sleep on Aura. It is essential to level up Bush as quickly as possible, which brings Aura into the equation.
Forbidden Juice becomes mandatory with Precision since it gives a +10% crit chance. Gym Sance is also important as it raises all damage by 10%. If you want to add a bit of randomness, go for Soul Harvester. In comparison, Moldy Cheese is a safer choice and makes your life easier with elite enemies.
The strategy with Bush is pretty simple. You'll always want to keep your distance from the enemies. Manual aim is necessary, as you'll specifically want to target the Marked enemies. This will allow you to make them explode and deal added damage. Always try to line up your shots to hit multiple enemies with a single bullet.
Check out this guide if you're looking for meta builds for other characters.

Athena is one of the best defensive characters in Megabonk, and with the right build, she can become almost immortal.
Unlike characters like Sir Oofie and Megachad, Athena isn't a typical tank. The longer you survive with her, the stronger she gets. You must use a well-built and effective strategy with her strengths and weaknesses.
Table of contents
How to unlock Athena in Megabonk
Athena's signature weapon is the Aegis, which is rather hard to unlock. You'll also have to obtain the Thorns tome on your run, which drops randomly from chests. Next, you'll need to level up the tome to at least level 9, requiring multiple runs.
Once your Thorns tome has reached level 9, you can unlock Athena from the shop.
Best Megabonk Athena build
As I said, building Athena successfully requires some skill and patience. While she's a tank, her base shield is low at the start of a run. The following build, however, will negate those weaknesses and quickly turn her into a character that rarely dies.
The Aegis provides a shield and sends out shockwaves when enemies attack you. However, the weapon's shield at the start is relatively weak, and your primary focus is to level up as quickly as possible. This is the main reason behind having Aura as your second-best choice. Aura keeps farming XP passively and damaging enemies without you needing to aim.
The Sword and Axe are good choices with Athena's highly melee-focused build. The Lightning Staff and Bone are decent options if you want to add a bit of ranged attack to your build.
![]()
Coming to the tomes, your first pickup should be Attack Speed if possible. The Aegis initially feels extremely slow, and the Attack Speed tome removes that problem. Size increases the radius of your waves, while Shield increases the regeneration rate. All these tomes will directly improve Aegis, making it significantly better.
Athena allows a wide range of items to be used. Beefy Ring is a must-have item for any tank in Megabonk, as it raises the HP and scales up the damage. Gym Sauce permanently buffs all damage by +10%, while Thorns land additional hits on enemies when they're close to you.
Your early game strategy will involve leveling up Athena and getting items and tomes that buff up Aegis. Once Aegis has received a few upgrades, it will become the backbone of Athena's build. Keep finding the tomes and items mentioned on the table above, and you should be ready.
While Athena is decent against most enemies, she struggles against elite bosses. This has more to do with the character and the limitations of her kit. I am hopeful that she will be buffed in the near future with an update or two.
We have a list with multiple options if you're looking for more meta builds to dominate Megabonk.
