Cygames updated Umamusume: Pretty Derby and added Fuji Kiseki as the newest Trainee as the first addition to the October 2025 schedule. The new Support Card banner featuring the Winning Pitch: Mejiro Ryan SSR Guts card also showed up on October 2, 2025. Both the card and character will join the general pool after their banners end on October 10, 2025.
Fuji Kiseki has a Takarazuka Revue style appearance who is designed to be a Pace Chaser who runs Mile races on Turf. However, because she has B ratings in Sprint and Medium, she could very easily run either of those if you use inheritances to get the ranks up. Her growth rate bonuses prioritize Power and Wit. She arrives knowing the Lights of Vaudeville Unique Skill that increases her velocity on the final straight. If you invest in her, you can also get the Big-Sisterly skill to increase her passing ability on Mile races and Race Planner to decrease her fatigue as a Pace Chaser mid-race in any kind of race.
While the English Umamusume: Pretty Derby trailer introducing Fuji Kiseki isn't live yet, you can watch the Japanese one below:
The other Trainee banner involves fantasy alts of El Condor Pasa and Grass Wonder. That ends on October 4, 2025, but they'll be in the general pool for the Fuji Kiseki banner too.
As for the Winning Pitch: Mejiro Ryan SSR Gits card, it is notable for its Unyielding skill. It helps with passing ability on Medium races. The card also can get Specialty Priority 50, to ensure she appears on Guts training, and a Winning Pitch level 30 perk to grant a power and skill point bonus.
Here's how the card and character look:

Stray Children, the new RPG from Moon developers Onion Games with a combat system not unlike Undertale, will debut on October 30, 2025. The release date announcement appeared alongside a new trailer that shows exactly how the new game works. It also confirmed again it will be on the Switch and PC worldwide.
In Stray Children, our avatar happens upon a room filled with computers and, upon flicking a switch, gets pulled into a game world. However, it isn't a happy one. All of the adults, known as Olders, turned into monstrous and dangerous opponents. Children live in a bastion trying to survive. As a newcomer, we venture outside and deal with these Olders, entering into turn-based battles with them. Like in Undertale, it is possible to attempt to dodge the foes' bullet-hell style attacks in Stray Children or opt to choose a more pacifist approach. On our turns, we can choose to fight back or to attempt to talk to these people to find another way to handle the conflicts.
Here's the Stray Children release date trailer on YouTube:
The folks at Onion Games are known for unusual games like Moon: Remix RPG, so Stray Children isn't a surprise. In addition to these two, it's worked on the roguelike Dandy Dungeon and Flappy Bird style kissing game Mon Amour. People from the team also previously worked on the PS2 kissing RPG Chulip.
Stray Children will come to the Switch and PC on October 30, 2025.

SAZAC announced it is now selling a kigurumi cat hat based on Morgana from Persona 5 Royal. It is currently selling it via its Rakuten store in Japan for 2,750円 (~$19). It does not ship outside of the country from that storefront. However, it does sell its items on Amazon often after the Japanese launch.
The Persona 5 Royal Morgana kigurumi hat is designed to be worn by adults, though it might fit some children as well. It is 62cm (24in). It's made of polyester, but isn't fuzzy or plush fabric. Morgana's eyes and mouth appear on the top, with his ears above them. There appears to be a velcro clasp at the base to help hold it on someone's head.

Infinite Loop announced that 2B from NieR: Automata is the next crossover character to come to its virtual pet/companion program Desktop Mate as DLC. She will show up on October 9, 2025. A price wasn't mentioned, but all past add-ons for the application cost $14.99 each.
Details about what to expect from the 2B DLC are available. She will wear her trademark dress, but it will be possible to "perform an action" that offers her alternate look. (This is likely the appearance without the skirt.) Screenshots showed her with and without her eyes covered too. English and Japanese voiced lines will be available as language options, and Kira Buckland and Yui Ishikawa are confirmed to be the performers again. Kaori Kawabuchi also took part as her motion capture actress again. The announcement also noted that, while 2B is the focus, her Pod 042 assistant will also show up.
Here are the first screenshots. There's no initial trailer for her yet.

While Desktop Mate comes with Aierutan, we've seen a number of crossover characters show up in the app as DLC. The first was Hatsune Miku, and Snow Miku and Magical Mirai 2025 versions followed. Later in 2025, we'll see the Needy Streamer Overload character OMGKawaiiAngel and Touhou Project's Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame.
Desktop Mate is available for PCs, and the NieR: Automata 2B DLC will debut on October 9, 2025. NieR: Automata is available on the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Windows PC, and the anime adaptation of that game is streaming via Crunchyroll.

Apex-Toys announced figures of multiple Zenless Zone Zero characters at 2025 WF Shanghai, and among them were Astra Yao, Evelyn Chevalier, Jane Doe, Hoshimi Miyabi, and Tsukishiro Yanagi. Miyabi appeared most often, as on and off duty versions came up. All of them were unpainted prototypes, so we have no idea when they'll actually release.
In the case of three of the Zenless Zone Zero characters, the figures are based on their standard costumes and appearances in the game. These are the Astra Yao, Evelyn Chevalier, and Jane Doe ones. All of them are static figures standing and holding the equipment they use to attack. So Jane has her knife and Astra is in front of her microphone. These will be 1/7 scale figures, and all of them are in more stable, standing poses.
Here's how those look:

In the case of Tsukishiro Yanagi, it looks like she is on the job at Special Operations Section 6, but working in the office instead of ready to fight in a Hollow. She has her work badge on a lanyard around her neck and is in a professional outfit, with her purse on her right shoulder and her blazer in her left hand. That is a 1/8 scale figure.
This is the current state of that figure.

Finally, the two Hoshimi Miyabi figures show both sides of the Zenless Zone Zero character. In one, she's actually in her on-duty clothes and in the middle of unleashing an attack. That's a 1/7 scale figure. In the other, she is off-duty and sitting on a bench in a more casual outfit, holding flowers in her hands. That one is a 1/8 scale statue.
Here are those two prototypes:

PC gaming is a beautiful lifestyle, but sometimes, it means missing out on certain games.
Console-exclusive titles like many first-party PlayStation games are a dying breed, but they still happen occasionally. A top-tier AAA game like Ghost of Yotei, for example, launched on PS5 but isn't around on PC just yet. That could change soon, though.
Here's what we know about when you can play Ghost of Yotei on PC.
Ghost of Yotei PC release date
![]()
As of now, Ghost of Yotei does not have an official PC release date yet, and it's not even officially confirmed that it will be coming to PC either. But given Sony's penchant for launching console exclusives on PC some time after release, it's very likely that it will come to PC eventually, just like Ghost of Tsushima.
Ghost of Yotei will likely come to PC at least one year after it launched on PS5, meaning it's not likely to come out on Steam or any other PC storefront before October 2026. Yeah, I know, it's a big bummer.
In the case of another PS5 exclusive, God of War: Ragnarok, the original game launched on PS5 in November 2022 and it did not come to PC until September 2024, so it may be several years before Yotei makes its way to Steam or the Epic Games Store.
PlayStation is quite fond of launching games on PC, though, so it's most likely going to happen. Another Sony-published game, Stellar Blade, launched on PC around 14 months after it came out on PS5, but that was an exclusivity deal with developer SHIFT UP, so it may not be relevant to this game.
Basically, if you want to play Ghost of Yotei any time soon, you may want to pick up a PS5. Otherwise, we'll see you in 2026 or 2027.

Well, yeah, that didn't take very long.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta is about five hours old, and there are already videos popping up online showing cheaters using wallhacks and aimbots, despite several extra layers of RICOCHET Anti-Cheat deployed for the beta specifically.
![]()
A Twitter/X user on a throwaway account posted a video of someone today, assumedly them, using cheats and absolutely decimating opponents online. That's likely just the first clip of many to pop up over the next few days. And so we continue on this course of players ruining PC gaming, as has been the case since forever.
Just days ago, Activision posted a blog about how RICOCHET Anti-Cheat would be buffed by TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot being a requirement to play the game on PC, where the overwhelming majority of cheats originate. The company said it would deploy machine learning during the beta with smarter aimbot detection, faster wall-hacking detections, and a layered defense to keep things fair. And, well...
"These detections, and other systems, will be dynamically scaled – activated, tested, and monitored – throughout the beta as we prepare to deliver the strongest protections that have ever launched alongside a new Call of Duty title," Activision said.
The hope for Activision, and anyone trying to play games online these days, is that the beta will help this machine learning better catch cheaters in the act and get them off the game as quickly as possible.
With the learnings from the beta, Activision said the "full force of RICOCHET Anti-Cheat's upgrades will go live when Black Ops 7 launches this November," but for now, don't be surprised if you get absolutely beamed by a cheater in the beta's first few days.
Activision says "every report, every flag, and every removal during the beta feeds directly into stronger responses" for launch, and that the beta is "a critical test for the systems we have online under real player conditions."

Ghost of Yotei is a stunning open-world PS5 title, and that world is explored best on horseback.
In Atsu's quest for revenge, as you jump backwards and forwards in time within the renegade's memories, you're sometimes given a choice or extra optional objectives. The Old Trails quest is one of these objectives, and it involves your mount.
If you're here, you've likely just reached the stables in the early part of the game and defeated a bunch of Lord Saito's goons, and now you're being given a choice of horses. Here's everything to know about which horse to pick and why.
Which horse to pick in Ghost of Yotei
![]()
Choosing your horse in Ghost of Yotei is purely a cosmetic decision, and there are no differences between each one, but keep in mind that this will be your mount for the remainder of the game. Here are the horse choices:
Pick whichever horse you like best for their appearance. Once chosen, you can then also name your horse, and this is again purely up to you and your tastes. The choices have no effect on gameplay at all. These are the name choices:
Upon picking your horse, you will complete the Old Trails quest and then unlock the PS5 trophy "Naming a Friend." From here, your adventure around Ezo can continue.

A new year of Call of Duty means a new year of issues, unfortunately.
In Black Ops 7 for PS5, an error has made its way into the new game and haunted players very early on in its existence. The "files cannot be managed in game by users on this platform" error is an annoying one, but there are a couple of things you can try to fix it so you can game.
How to fix BO7 'files cannot be managed in game by users on this platform'
![]()
This all-too-common error for Call of Duty is popping up again in the BO7 beta, but there is a fix that has worked for others in the past that you can try.
First, try reinstalling the Call of Duty app and trying again. If this doesn't work, there may be an issue with the game's communications with the servers, or more likely, a problem with the database on PS5 or licensing issues thanks to one of CoD's several updates.
Now, on PS5, try this:
![]()
Alternatively, you can rebuild your PS5's database. Here's how to do that:
This should work for most cases. If not, there may just be an issue with the game that needs to be fixed by Activision. The error is popping up again in the BO7 beta, so it could be a beta issue.

Destructoid Thursday, October 2, 2025 2:26 PM
The start of the Black Ops 7 beta has been far from smooth, as many players on Battle.net have been unable to begin their adventures.
Developers Treyarch already acknowledged the problem on Oct. 2, and this isn't a new issue. Last year, we had the same problems with the beta for Black Ops 6. The problem affects PC and console users, but only those with their beta codes on Battle.net.
A permanent fix will come soon, but there are solutions you can try in the meantime.
Black Ops 7 'Unable to access' beta bug fix
This bug typically triggers when the platform fails to acknowledge that you have beta access. This problem is common (as I mentioned above), and here are some things to try out.
If the methods don't work, your only alternative is to wait. The issue is already present on the official Trello, and it's currently being investigated. The problem should be fixed pretty soon, and it remains to be seen if Activision extends the beta periods (considering that some players are missing out on the fun).
Many players have also encountered instances when the game crashes at launch, and some solutions exist to that issue as well if you are affected.

Subscription services, once heralded as the replacement for old-school cable TV, have slowly but surely become way more expensive for no particular reason. Xbox is just the latest of them all, increasing its tiers by as much as $10, which angered fans to a degree rarely seen in gaming.
Recently, Xbox has made the decision to increase the price of its Game Pass subscription service, one used by millions across PC and console. The increase is a substantial one and has even brought along fundamental changes to some of its tiers. For example, two of the tiers will not feature Day One releases despite having their price "adjusted," with this feature reserved only for Game Pass Ultimate, now costing $30 per month, or $360 per year.
Now that's a return of the Xbox 360 I never would have dreamed of.
But you've probably already heard about this whole ordeal and how Xbox went about it. However, the company issued a response in a conversation with The Verge, saying "price increases are never fun for anybody," but cancelling subscriptions sure seems like it is.
![]()
Since these new prices were announced, Game Pass users flocked to their Microsoft accounts to cut and cancel any and all ties to the subscription service, so much so that the Microsoft account management website went completely offline under load. Masses of players were abandoning ship, unwilling to fork over 30 bucks a month and hundreds per year, especially with the global economic situation being how it is.
Over on social media, especially Reddit, negative reactions to this move have been more than abundant, with players calling Microsoft and Xbox greedy, their moves unjustified, and overall just wondering what the long-term strategy was with these increases.
"Is Xbox trying to speedrun its way out of the video game market?" one user asked. "They priced me out," said another. Another accused Microsoft of "milking" the player base to the utmost, arguing the company probably isn't "growing" anymore. This last could have a grain of truth in it, since many Microsoft-published games haven't really been the biggest titles ever. Even if we do count Activision in there, Microsoft's gaming division isn't the brightest diamond.
Regional prices saw substantial jumps as well. In Brazil, the price of the Game Pass nearly doubled, while my own Montenegro got hit with a 30 percent uptick. In economically disadvantaged countries, these hikes are literally barring people from the platform, as lower and more equitable regional pricing existed because of those disadvantages in the first place.
Game Pass can still be purchased at the older price in places like GameStop, though corporate stores seem to be abandoning ship, too, with the likes of Costco removing Xbox from their shelves.
Whether Microsoft will retract this "unfun" decision is unclear, but the damage has already been done.

There's a new expansion pack in town, Simmers, and that means new quests to complete. One of the big mysteries of Gibbi Point is The Sims 4's newest NPC, the Peculiar Plumbird. There are three different quests tied to this feathery NPC, one of which is Local Legends.
In Adventure Awaits, we meet Pruella Preener, a.k.a. the Peculiar Plumbird. She's a strange, colorful bird with an air of mystery surrounding her and her species: Where are the rest of the Plumbirds? Why did they slowly disappear over the years? Local Legends seeks to answer some of these questions, though you'll have to travel around Gibbi Point to do so.
Table of contents
How to start Local Legends quest
There's two ways to start Local Legends: either by clicking on the Peculiar Plumbird nest in Crystal Valley, or by interacting with the story map in the plaza of Jellyfish Junction. The plaza can be found to the left of the Revive and Thrive Retreat.

Pruella Preener and her nest can be found in the Crystal Valley neighborhood of the Gibbi Point map. To find her, travel to the Fearful Fish Lounge or the Crystal Cottage lot and head north. Look around in the wooded area, and you should find a nest, as well as our colorful avian friend.
Interacting with either the Story Map or the Plumbird Nest will give you the option to "Dig your talons into Peculiar Plumbird lore," which will open the quest menu and allow you to select up to two of three Plumbird-related quests, with Local Legends being one of them. I recommend starting the Tangible Traces quest as well, since the two have a lot of overlap in their quest requirements, and you can hit two birds with one stone—no pun intended.

The first two requirements will automatically appear in your quest log, and as you complete one, a new one will take its place.
Finding Plumbird Evidence in Jellyfish Junction
The first Plumbird fossil can be found on the path to the lighthouse in Jellyfish Junction. It'll appear as a flat rock on the ground and can be easy to miss, so refer to the image below to get a better idea of what to look for. If you still can't find it, interacting with the Jellyfish Junction Town Model in the plaza will automatically refocus the camera to show the Plumbird fossil's exact location.

Talking to Gibbi Point locals
Once you've unearthed the archeological evidence of the Plumbird, it's on to the next phase of the quest. Oh, what's that? You thought we were done? Guess again, my friend. Luckily, this stage isn't too difficult; all it requires is chatting up the locals.
![]()
Both of these tasks are relatively easy, though it may take you a bit to find someone who classifies as a Gibbi Point local. Not every NPC who jogs through Jellyfish Junction or the Wanderwood Wilds will be a resident of Gibbi Point. Instead, you'll need to find new characters who live in this world and chat with them before you see the dialogue options for the above tasks.
There are a few locals the game will suggest you find: Raheel the Adventurer, Nigel the Camp Director, or Toshie the Storyteller, but I found those weren't the only NPCs who count as Gibbi Point locals. I visited Plumbird Park and found Laxmi Kunal, the Butterfly Conservationist, who counts as a local. She also gives you the Raise a Butterfly quest, so be sure to pick that up if you haven't already. I spoke to Laxmi twice instead of finding a second local and was able to complete the quest that way.
Touch the Glowworm near the Electric Lagoon
![]()
After you've discussed the evidence and rumors surrounding the Plumbirds, it's time to touch some worms. Does that make sense? No, nothing in The Sims 4 makes sense, but that's why we're all here, isn't it?
The Electric Lagoon, though it's not a named spot on the map, can be found in the Crystal Valley neighborhood. To reach it, wait until night and travel once more to the Fearful Fish Lounge. Zoom out and look for a small alcove of water tucked into a body of rocks, as shown in the image above. You should see glowing blue orbs appear in the foliage just at the water's edge. Click on this and you'll see a prompt to "touch the glowworm"—but you'll only be able to do so at night. Touching these wormies will light up the lagoon in a beautiful display.
![]()
Once you've lit up the lagoon, the quest will end and you'll be awarded with some Simoleons. Now it's time to take on the other quests in Gibbi Point, like Feeding Frenzy, to complete your investigation of the mysterious Plumbird.

The Black Ops 7 open beta is upon us, first available to those who have pre-ordered the game via select retailers, digital platforms, or carry a Game Pass subscription.
But downloading and accessing this beta isn't as straightforward as one might think, with many players left confused about how to get into the action. So, here's everything you need to know about downloading Black Ops 7's open beta on Steam, PlayStation, Battle.net, and Xbox.
Downloading Black Ops 7 beta on Steam, PS, Battle.net, and Xbox
![]()
Black Ops 7 beta can be accessed via all major digital platforms, including Valve's Steam, Sony's PlayStation, and Microsoft's own Xbox and Battle.net. The way of going about this is different depending on how you've purchased the game or if you're a Game Pass subscriber.
If you've pre-ordered Black Ops 7 via select retailers, you should have received a 13-digit code for the early access with your game, redeemable at this link. Once you've done so, you should receive an email with an access token, which should grant you access to the beta on the platform you've purchased the game for.
For those who have pre-ordered Black Ops 7 via digital storefronts, beta access will come automatically, and no extra steps are required to access it. Simply go to the platform you bought the game on and download the beta branch that should appear in your account.
Keep in mind that some platforms, including Steam and Battle.net, are reportedly suffering issues regarding this last part, with beta branches not appearing on the platforms. If you are one of those affected, contact Activision and its support.
Additionally, if you are a PC Game Pass, Console Game Pass, or Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, you can immediately hop into the Black Ops 7 beta. Simply fire up your Xbox app or relevant console, look for Black Ops 7 Open Beta, download the app, and hit play. This is by far the easiest means to access the open beta branch and has not had any major issues.
If you aren't among any of the above, you should still not worry: Black Ops 7 is opening up its full open beta on Oct. 5 for all players, regardless of their pre-order or purchase status, so if you're feeling left out, it's just a few more days until we all get to join in on the fun.

Another Call of Duty, another roster of guns to learn.
As is the case with every CoD game, Black Ops 7 has a dearth of new weapons to level up and choose from when it's time to squad up with your homies and trounce unsuspecting players online. Or, if you're like me, play solo and get absolutely choke-slammed by skill-based matchmaking and question every decision you've ever made.
Things will quickly change as Treyarch balances the game, but here are our picks for the best guns in the BO7 beta so far, of which there are not too many to choose from.
Table of contents
Best guns in BO7 beta
![]()
M8A1 (Marksman Rifle)
The M8 from Black Ops 2 is back. This time, it's a marksman rifle and not an AR, but it's just as powerful, if not even better. On day one of the beta, the M8A1 is a one-burst kill at mid-range if you hit the enemy in the chest or above. It feels pretty gnarly, but it loses out to weapons with higher mobility when dealing with omnimovement.
Peacekeeper MK1 (Assault Rifle)
Unlocked at level 16, the Peacekeeper is another returning gun from BO2. The SMG/AR hybrid is an AR this time around, and it offers easily the best mobility and handling when it comes to ARs so far, meaning that it helps out a lot when running and gunning with BO7's wall-jumping and omnimovement.
MXR-17 (Assault Rifle)
![]()
My favorite AR for long-range, the MXR-17 is reminiscent of the TAQ-56 from recent CoD games and Warzone. While it's slow-firing compared to other guns, it's powerful as hell and can hold its own at a distance. You will likely be out-maneuvered, but if you keep your distance or post up on a wall or head-glitch, you can deal some big damage.
Dravec 45 (SMG)
The Dravec 45 is the top pick for submachine guns so far, boasting the best mobility and firepower in class. With 36-round magazines by default, there's more than enough bullets to take down anything that moves at close range.
VS Recon (Sniper Rifle)
![]()
This is the best of the two sniper rifles thus far, as bolt-action snipers tend to be in CoD. If you're accurate, you could one-shot enemies in the chest or above at just about any range in the game.

The early hours of Black Ops 7 Beta have landed some players (myself included) in a pickle, where the game crashes at launch, resulting in the error code 0x3.
This error code isn't new if you have played older Call of Duty titles. It's a standard error code that appears if you're trying to play from the Xbox app on PC and the game crashes. Thankfully, there are a few solutions to try if you encounter the problem.
How to solve the 'game has crashed' error in Black Ops 7 Beta
There can be multiple reasons why Black Ops 7 Beta could crash while trying to launch from the Xbox app.
![]()
Here's a list of alternate solutions, as recommended by Microsoft.
The steps mentioned here should solve any crashes that might arise when you try to launch Black Ops 7 beta from the Xbox app. If you can start the game, but it crashes when you try to load a match, it could result from hardware issues.

A Peculiar Plumbird is lurking around Gibbi Point with plenty of special quests you tackle in The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits. One of the trickier ones you'll encounter from this NPC is Feeding Frenzy.
The Peculiar Plumbird has quite a few tough tasks for you to tackle in this quest. You're not given much guidance for most of them, so it's easy to end up stuck. If any part of this mission has you stumped, here's how to complete the Feeding Frenzy quest in The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits.
Table of contents
Peculiar Plumbird Feeding Frenzy quest walkthrough in The Sims 4
![]()
To finish the entire Feeding Frenzy quest, you need to search and investigate Plumbird Evidence in Crystal Valley, rehome a Butterfly or Moth, catch a delicious Fish, deliver the Fish to the Peculiar Plumbird, and discuss Plumbird Evidence with Gibbi Point locals. Some of these tasks are fairly tricky to work through, so here's a full breakdown of how to get each one done.
Search and investigate Plumbird Evidence in Crystal Valley
Locate and investigate the strange Plumbird Evidence in the Crystal Valley neighborhood to finish the next task. There's evidence you can find across a few different areas in Gibbi Point, but for this quest, you must focus solely on the one in Crystal Valley.
You can find this Plumbird Evidence northeast of the Fearful Fish Lounge, east of the Addam Commune, and right by the path near the Peculiar Plumbird's nest. It's a large dark grey/brown rock that blends in with the environment quite well. Once you find it, click on the rock and select the "Investigate Plumbird Evidence" option to finish this task.
![]()
Rehome a Butterfly or Moth
Rehome a Butterfly or Moth to a Butterfly Topiary to finish the next task. This is the toughest one to get done, as you first need to find one of these insects around Gibbi Point. To finish this mission, you need to:
![]()
Catch a delicious Fish
Next up, you need to catch a delicious Fish for the Peculiar Plumbird. Any fish will do, even creatures you might not think count as Fish, like Jellyfish, so find a fishing sign by some water anywhere in Gibbi Point and fish until you catch one.
Deliver Fish to Peculiar Plumbird
Head to the Peculiar Plumbird's nest in Crystal Valley to deliver the Fish you caught. Strike up a conversation with them, then select the "Deliver Fish to Bird" option to present your gift.
Discuss Plumbird Evidence with Gibbi Point locals
You've uncovered a lot of new Plumbird lore, so it's time to discuss Plumbird Evidence with Gibbi Point locals. There are many characters who call this world home, but only three you can talk to for this quest:
![]()
Choose one of these three characters to talk to for this quest. Once you find them, select the "Discuss Plumbird Evidence" option to finish the task. After chatting with one of these three, the Feeding Frenzy quest will officially be complete. The Peculiar Plumbird has more quests for you to tackle, though, so consider working through Tangible Traces or Local Legends next.

Imaginary Friends have arrived in The Sims 4 with the Adventure Awaits expansion pack, introducing somewhat creepy but cute new pals for your child Sims to meet. They're somewhat complex beings to befriend and unlock, though.
If your child Sims seem a bit lonely or simply looking for a new ally to cause some chaos with, Imaginary Friends are a great option. Here's how to get an Imaginary Friend in The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits.
Table of contents
How to get Imaginary Friend in The Sims 4
![]()
Imaginary Friends can be obtained from Buy Mode by typing ImagineMe! Doll into the search bar, choosing one of the four available options, and placing it on your lot. You can also find them under the Toys category in the kids' room and kids' sections.
These special friends are exclusive to the Adventure Awaits expansion pack, so you must have it installed to meet them. They start off as simple toys, but with a bit of effort, you can bring them to life as special beings only your child Sim can see and interact with.
How to bring Imaginary Friend doll to life in The Sims 4
There are three ways you can bring an Imaginary Friend to life:
![]()
Once you've unlocked one of the three ways you can bring an Imaginary Friend to life, click on the doll and select the "Turn into Imaginary Friend" option. Before you select this, make sure you've clicked on the doll and selected both "Choose personality" and "Rename," as these features cannot be modified once you bring them to life.
How to make an Imaginary Friend real in The Sims 4
If you grow tired of your Imaginary Friend's strange appearance, you can bring them to life as a fully functional Sim. This can only be done once your child Sim ages up into a teen, so you have to wait a bit to initiate this process.
You also need to have a solid relationship with the Imaginary Friend, so make sure you maintain your friendship with them if you're hoping to make them real. Once these requirements are met, you can click on your Imaginary Friend and select the "Offer to make real" option.
Selecting this option turns the Imaginary Friend from a strange cartoony being into a regular Sim with strange clothing tastes. After this, they join your household, and you get to assume full command over them. Sadly, they act like regular Sims after this and possess no unique traits or features.

The Sims 4 is no stranger to odd townies, but Adventure Awaits has perhaps the weirdest one yet. The Peculiar Plumbird is a key character to meet up with in this pack, but they can be a bit tricky to track down.
If you want to get to the bottom of who or what this creature really is, knowing where to find them is a must. They offer several important quests you can work through, all of which offer some Simoleons and Gibbi Point knowledge as a reward. If you're struggling to track down this creature, here's where to find Peculiar Plumbird in The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits.
Table of contents
Peculiar Plumbird location in The Sims 4
![]()
You can find the Peculiar Plumbird hanging around a nest in the Crystal Valley neighborhood, which is the region situated near the upper right end of Gibbi Point. This likely isn't where you'd expect to find them, as there's some text that mentions the Plumbird in the Jellyfish Junction neighborhood, and the Wanderwood Wilds area is the most outdoorsy, making it the spot you'd most expect to find a strange giant bird in. Nevertheless, the Crystal Valley region is where the Peculiar Plumbird calls home.
The Plumbird's nest is slightly north of the Fearful Fish Lounge and east of the Addam Commune. It's a bit obscured, as both the Plumbird and nest are surrounded by a circle of lush green trees that can sometimes completely block them from view, depending on your camera angle. The nest blends in quite well, but the vibrant Plumbird colors pop no matter where this creature is, making them a bit easier to spot.
If you're still having trouble finding them, click on the rabbithole building right next to the Fearful Fish Lounge, select the "Focus camera on..." option, then choose the "Peculiar Plumbird nest" option. This will snap your camera to exactly the right spot so you can then have your Sim walk over to it.
All Peculiar Plumbird quests in The Sims 4
The Peculiar Plumbird has three quests you can tackle, all of which can be acquired by clicking on the Plumbird's nest and selecting the "Dig your talons into some Peculiar Plumbird lore" option. These quests give you more insight into the history of the Plumbird, help you learn more about Gibbit Point, and offer some Simoleons as a reward. All of the quests you can work through are as follows.
![]()
Once you're done learning all there is to know about the Peculiar Plumbird, you can move on to tackling other key quests in The Sims 4. Next, you might work on getting an Imaginary Friend, tackling the Not Mushroom for Error Fable, and getting Magic Beans.

There's a rather strange Plumbird on the loose in The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits. This peculiar creature has some special missions available for you to tackle, including the Tangible Traces quest.
You don't come across quests very often in The Sims 4, so navigating through the many tricky tasks they present can be rather tough. If you're struggling to work through this one, here's how to complete the Tangible Traces quest in The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits.
Table of contents
Peculiar Plumbird Tangible Traces quest walkthrough in The Sims 4
![]()
To complete the Tangible Traces quest for the Peculiar Plumbird, you need to socialize with the Lost Adventurer, locate Plumbird Evidence in the Wanderwood Wilds region, and discuss Plumbird Evidence with Gibbi Point locals. These are some decently tricky tasks to get done, so here's a breakdown of how to tackle them.
Travel to Wanderwood Wilds
For both of the tasks you need to get done, you must be in the Wanderwood Wilds area, so start by traveling to this neighborhood. Wanderwood Wilds is the area located near the top left corner of Gibbi Point.
Socialize with the Lost Adventurer
Your first key mission is to socialize with the Lost Adventurer, which is a townie named Raheel Kunal. He doesn't always stay in one location, but he's commonly found around Wanderwood Wilds, wandering near the Old Firewatch Tower.
If he's not there, you might find him fishing nearby or relaxing at a campfire. When I went searching for him, he was jogging along a trail near the Old Firewatch Tower. The "Lost Adventurer" title is displayed right above his name when you hover over this Sim, making him easy to distinguish from other NPCs.
![]()
Once you find him, select any socialization option you want. I chose to start by introducing myself, but you've also got several Plumbird-themed dialogue choices available before you even know him, so it's entirely up to you how you choose to kick off the conversation. Using any social option with him completes your first task.
Locate Plumbird Evidence in Wanderwood Wilds
The second feat you need to get done is a lot trickier, as you must locate Plumbird Evidence in Wanderwood Wilds. You're looking for a Plumbird Fossil in this neighborhood, which can be found fairly close to the Hothead Rock Geyser.
Wanderwood Wilds is a huge area, so start by moving your camera around until you have it overlooking the Hothead Rock Geyser. Then, look slightly north of the central geyser, just down the path that leads up to the nearby lake. You'll find the Plumbird Fossil sitting fairly close to the lake, near some bushes. It's a dark brown fossil, so it blends in quite well. Click on it and select the "Investigate Plumbird Evidence" option.
![]()
Discuss Plumbird Evidence with Gibbi Point locals
Now that you've learned more about Plumbirds, it's time to share your knowledge. Track down a Gibbi Point local to discuss the situation. There are three townies you can chat with for this task:
You only need to talk to one of these three characters to progress. I chose to use Raheel again, since he was still fairly nearby, and I was able to use the "Focus the Camera" option from the Relationships tab to find him again easily. With whichever townie you choose, select the "Discuss Plumbird Evidence" option. As soon as this chat ends, the Tangible Traces quest will be complete, and you can move on to other tasks like getting an Imaginary Friend.

A new month means a new major update for Marvel Rivals. October 2025 is about to get real scary.
The Man Without Fear, Daredevil, is just a fraction of what's coming to Marvel Rivals in season 4.5. Quality of life changes, balancing updates, new and different hero team-ups, and, of course, new skins are all a part of the patch.
We've got the details in the patch notes ahead of its release on Oct. 10.
Table of contents
Marvel Rivals - Season 4.5 early patch notes
New hero: Daredevil
Daredevil, yet another Duelist, is the new hero in the midseason update. Matt Murdock's devilish appearance looks to add yet another nightmare for Strategist players to deal with in the backline as he's able to quickly close the gap on fleeing foes and beat them down with his billy clubs.
New and changed Team-Up Abilities
Cross Progression testing
Finally! Cross Progression is coming to Marvel Rivals, allowing players to link their PC and console accounts to use the same skins and unlocks across platforms. It will roll out in limited testing form in season 4.5, but it will come to all players in November for season five.
Everything besides leaderboards, ranked play ranks, and stats will carry over between the platforms, so the feature will mainly be for unlocking and using skins and items.
