Ahead of The Dahlia debut in Honkai: Star Rail on December 17, 2025, HoYoVerse shared a "Keeping Up with Star Rail" video highlighting her moveset. It also offered a little more insight into the dynamic between her and Black Swan, as the latter appeared in the video and discussed some animosity between them. Notably, Black Swan repeatedly brings up her tendency to betray people.
The Dahlia is a Nihility character who deals Fire damage, so she works best in Break teams and ones that make the most of damage over time (DOT) strategies. If you use her Technique before a fight, it will create a "dimension" that keeps on-field enemies from attacking and causes her zone to appear the second a fight with one of them starts. Her basic attack is Fiddle… Fissured Memory and hits one foe. Her Lick… Enkindled Betrayal Skill, she hits one enemy and the two surrounding it for an AOE attack. This Skill also sets up a temporary zone in the battlefield that makes it easier for characters to break enemy weaknesses and adds Super Break DMG conversion. Her Ultimate is Wallow… Entombed Ash that hits every enemy and puts them in the Wilt state temporarily. Wilt enemies will have her designated Dance Partners' elements added as a weakness. The video also shows her working alongside Boothill and Firefly on teams quite often as a possible suggestion.
Here's the full "Keeping Up with Star Rail — The Dahlia: I Used to Hold You When You Were Little" Honkai: Star Rail video. It also goes over some more detailed nuances of attacks and her Trace effects.
At the moment, a number of Chrysos Heirs characters are available on Honkai: Star Rail banners. There are reruns for the five-star units Cipher, Mydei, and Phainon, and Cyrene is still available.
Honkai: Star Rail is available on the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and The Dahlia arrives when the 3.8 update arrives on December 17, 2025.

HoYoVerse teased a character for the Genshin Impact Luna IV update, and it will mark the playable debut of the former Fatui Damselette Columbina. She will presumably be a five-star unit due to her prominence in the story and the fact other Fatui Harbingers like Arlecchino, Childe, and Scaramouche are. She's expected to debut in early 2026 when the patch arrives.
We do know a few things about Columbina ahead of her banner. Her full name is listed as Columbina Hyposelenia. (The Damselette is her Fatui codename.) She's also referred to as The Moon Maiden and Welkin Moon's Homecoming. When she appears, her element will be Hydro. The other teaser post on social media went over her desire to return home to the moon.
Here's the second teaser explaining a bit about her origins and desire.
At this very moment, there are two characters associated with Mondstadt available on the banners. One is the returning Anemo Archon Venti. The other is the newcomer Durin. Their banners will be available until December 23, 2025.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and The Damselette Columbina will debut as a playable character in Luna IV.

The Pokemon Company announced that it has started selling new donuts inspired by Groudon and Kyogre at its Pikachu Sweets by Pokemon Cafe outlet in Ikebukuro. These donuts are set to be available for a limited time throughout the 2025-2026 Winter season.
The outlet also has an English website with a menu sheet that includes the limited donuts. The Groudon and Kyogre Pokemon donuts are tentatively named Red Donut and Blue Donut in English, but the Japanese webpage already has proper Japanese names for them: Old-Fashioned Omega and Old-Fashioned Alpha.
Even though the company specifically added the donuts to mark the two legendary Pokemon's appearances in the Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC, their designs also take inspiration from the 3DS remakes of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Groudon's donut will have Strawberry and Black Tea flavors, while Kyogre's will come with Banana and Lemon flavors.
Each donut will be available at ¥550 (~$3.50) apiece. The outlet will also offer a set that comes with a free sticker and pairs a donut with a Get Latte for ¥1,252 (~$8) or a Hoopa's Ruby Chocolate Frappe with an Orange flavor for ¥1,414 (~$9).
Pikachu Sweets by Pokemon Cafe is available on the 2nd floor of Sunshine City Alpa in East Ikebukuro, Tokyo, Japan. The Groudon and Kyogre-inspired donuts are available for a limited time until March 1, 2026.

Another new FC 26 Ultimate Team promo, Unbreakables, is coming soon, and it could usher in new celebrations ahead of the festive season.
Unbreakables, like the ongoing Joga Bonito campaign, will be a fresh promo in Ultimate Team. So far, EA Sports has remained tight-lipped about the promo, and we still have a few days of Joga Bonito left. However, the first bit of social media rumors has already started to pop up, which hints at the possible release date and footballers who will be part of the campaign.

FC 26 Unbreakables players (leaks)
So far, plenty of footballers have leaked who will be part of the upcoming promo.
More names are expected to appear closer to the release date. The Unbreakables promo is also rumored to include Icons and Heroes, which will undoubtedly make the campaign quite exciting. While most of the new cards will be in packs, we can expect a few of them as part of objectives and SBCs. It will be easier to obtain them as you won't have to rely on luck.
FC 26 Unbreakables release countdown
The Unbreakables promo is likely going to be a one-team affair, releasing worldwide on Friday, Dec. 12. It will mark the end of the ongoing Joga Bonito promo, and the following countdown will help you keep track of when the new cards go live in Ultimate Team.
The countdown is based on the following times.
This is the usual schedule that EA Sports follows for any promo launch in Ultimate Team. It will be interesting to find out more about the upcoming promo and how many of the leaked items ultimately make it to the official launch.

Uriel is the 63rd Warframe added to the game along with The Old Peace update, and its powers seem to be quite overpowered.
As with all previous additions, you can obtain Uriel for absolutely free by just farming for its parts. However, I am yet to find out the exact way of farming the parts as of writing, given that the update went live only a couple of hours ago.
While this guide will be a work in progress, I will list all methods that will allow you to use Uriel right now.
Update: Added the farming method.
Table of contents
How to get Uriel in Warframe
As mentioned earlier, I am yet to discover the free-to-play method of obtaining Uriel. The free-to-play method, once again, is likely going to be via relics. I will list down the exact relics in this guide once I figure out the exact ones.
However, you can already roll out with the 63rd Warframe if you want, but the process isn't entirely free-to-play. The easiest way is just to get Uriel from the shop if you don't mind microtransactions. Uriel has his own bundle, and he's also part of The Old Peace complete bundle. You can purchase either bundles with Platinum or spend real-life money.
If you're short on Platinum, you can also get Uriel directly from the Market. If you purchase him with Platinum, there are several benefits.
While Platinum is a premium currency, you can always earn it by trading different resources with other players. This is the best method if you're eager to get your hands on Uriel immediately and start leveling him up.
You can also test his abilities and skills in The Old Peace quest, which is now available for all. If you're new, you can get an invite from one of your buddies to try out the campaign.
How to farm Uriel in Warframe
While Platinum is farmable, especially if you're an advanced player, you can get all the components by just playing the game.
To obtain the remaining items, you'll need to buy them with Maphica from Roathe. You can find him in the La Cathedrale in Sanctum Anatomica. Let's now find out how you can gain Maphica.
To gain Maphica, you'll need to play Descendia, available from the Dark Refractory segment. The following task is to get to Floor 21, where you'll encounter Roathe. Floor 21, also named Roathe's Oblivion, involves a tough boss fight. Once Roathe is defeated, you can then destroy his throne to have a potential chance at obtaining one of the Neuroptics, Systems, or Chassis blueprints.
Since this part is highly luck-reliant, you can use the pity system by buying the Uriel components directly with Maphica. Once you complete The Old Peace quest, you'll be able to visit Roathe in la Cathedrale to buy the parts with Maphica.
Here's the exact amount that you're going to need.
Maphica is a random drop that you get from enemies and containers in Descendia. The resource appears to be pretty rare, but finding a sufficient amount isn't very difficult. However, finding all the necessary resources to construct the components will take more time.
To find the resources, you'll have to play the Perita Rebellion missions at least a few times. If you, of course, want to skip the grind, the more straightforward method is to spend your Platinum. Here's the exact amount of resources you'll need to craft all three parts.

ARC Raiders is looking to tackle the "wipe" problem that games in its genre experience by making it optional for players to participate in. It's called the Expedition Project, and the game's first iteration is happening soon.
Especially considering the fact that ARC Raiders is probably the first extraction shooter for many players, a lot of gamers are somewhat oblivious to the Expedition Project and what it means. And that's largely due to the fact that it's not very evident in-game.
Today, a Reddit user called out the fact that it's mainly been posted about and discussed on social media channels like Discord and X/Twitter, which is a fairly good point. In order to even find the Projects page in-game, players need to navigate to multiple menus, and there's no in-game notification or marker anywhere to point to it.
Because of this, the main gist of the upcoming Expedition Project seems to be flying under the radar for a lot of players, especially when it comes to the requirements for earning extra skill points, which may be the biggest draw to wiping your stash and starting over.
This optional inventory wipe features some steep requirements to begin with to reach the final phase, which begins in a week on Dec. 17. But then, the main reason to start over is the skill points, which are pricy: when the Expedition Project takes off, players can earn up to five permanent skill point unlocks, and they cost one million overall stash value per point.
"None of my friends had any idea when I told them yesterday," one gamer said. "Now none of them wants to do the Expedition."
"When the Expedition departs, all items in your Raider's stash will be contributed toward it," Embark explained in a blog post this past week. "Your next Raider can earn up to five skill points based on the total value of your Stash and Coins at the time of departure."
Opting in to the Expedition will unlock some exclusive cosmetics, 12 more slots for your stash, and some temporary buffs. These rewards are nice, but moving forward, having those extra skill points and tacking them on to your build at each reset will be what sets most players apart. And it appears that many have no idea that it's a thing because there's nothing about it in the actual game.
Some sort of in-game announcement would be a good first step in making sure that all players are prepared for the Expedition to begin in a week. There's only a week long period where players can do so, too, so that only makes the need for better communication on the subject more pertinent.
Since the Expedition itself is quite an undertaking for casual players, I'll be very curious to see how many players actually take part in it and how Embark will handle the mechanic moving forward after this initial try.

Gyre Prime is the latest Prime to be added to unvaulted access in Warframe, along with the launch of The Old Peace Update, and this guide will help you find all its parts.
Of course, you can spend real-life money and buy Gyre Prime from the shop as she's part of the latest Prime Access bundle. However, you can obtain the parts for free (without spending Platinum), but the method is extremely RNG-reliant.
This guide will provide you with all the details required for you to farm Gyre Prime parts from the Relics.
All Gyre Prime relics in Warframe
The Gyre Prime Warframe has four different parts.
Here's the list of all the Orokin relics that you're going to require for all the parts.
The spot for farming relics, thankfully, hasn't changed, and the preferred nodes remain pretty much the same.
There are more ways to obtain Relic Packs if you want to try your luck with them. There are plenty of vendors that sell unlimited Relic Packs, but the exact availability will depend on your standings with all the open-world factions and neutral Syndicates.
You can also find Relic Packs from Teshin in exchange for Steel Essences. Try to farm and purchase Lith G14 the most since that has the only Rare component you'll want to complete Gyre Prime. The Warframe will remain in the unvaulted pool for a long time based on older trends that Digital Extremes has followed. Of course, you can also try out Uriel, who is the 63rd Warframe to be added to the game.

Call of Duty is putting an end to back-to-back releases of games in the same subfranchise. However, it might be high time for the whole series to stop its annual launches, because the fatigue is getting severe.
Call of Duty has followed a yearly release structure basically since its inception. Initially, it'd launch a game, then an expansion pack the next year, but that quickly turned into annual title releases, alternating between Treyarch and Infinity Ward (and later other studios like Sledgehammer). Essentially, there hasn't been a single year since around 2005 that we haven't had a Call of Duty game in the schedule.
We'd get a reveal every spring, and a release every fall, and that's how it's been for almost two decades now.
Though initially subfranchises in the series kept apart, releasing two or three years between each other, Activision eventually started doing back-to-back releases, thus giving us two Modern Warfare games in a row, as well as two Black Ops entries. That's being put to a stop, as we covered yesterday, but it might be time for the whole series to take a step back and assess the situation.
Releasing every single year with incremental improvements over the previous entry has taken a toll on CoD's players. Sure, the series sold well every year since it became a thing, but even that is starting to slip away. Lack of innovation, the use of AI, and an overall bad reputation have ripped up CoD's sails bit by bit, chipping away at what was once one of the most exciting and fun first-person shooter franchises.
In 2025, CoD faced another issue: Battlefield 6, itself the product of EA realizing that things had gone south and slamming the brakes, allowing DICE to reconfigure over a three-year period and put out a game that almost everyone loved. In fact, it's outselling (thanks Metro UK) Black Ops 7, which, if you look at CoD's average numbers, is really something.
Call of Duty has lost its spark and the creative drive that made the series into what it is today. Just in 2019, the rebooted Modern Warfare proved that Infinity Ward still had it and was not afraid to deal with serious topics, show graphic content, and shock the audience like its old games did. It was bold, daring, and it worked on all levels. Both the multiplayer and singleplayer were praised by the players, and Warzone became a cultural phenomenon as soon as it appeared.
MW2019 was the pinnacle of contemporary CoD, but sadly, it remains the only such title in the last decade. Modern Warfare 2 diluted the experience, with Activision seemingly keen on putting it out as fast as possible, culminating in Modern Warfare 3 that was completely watered down and in no way comparable to the first game. The same happened with these new Black Ops titles, as Black Ops 7 is now the worst-rated CoD of all time.
Call of Duty has been around year in, year out for 20 whole years, for almost as long as I have been alive. It is beyond past its prime in terms of quality and creativity, and Activision needs to look in the mirror, like EA did, and think twice about its future.
Shooters all around it are springing up that are better, more innovative, and, what's key, more fun, what with ARC Raiders and Battlefield 6 releasing within a month of each other. Sure, Black Ops 7 probably sold fine, but it's nowhere near what CoD is used to.
Someone needs to hit the pause button, take a long, hard break, and come back clear-minded and with some fresh ideas, reviving the franchise that used to dare do things no one else would. And, as we all know: he who dares—wins.

The year of our Lord 2025 is on its way out. Though not the best period in human history, gamers certainly had a great time.
AA and indie titles dominated the industry, proving to billion-dollar corporate enterprises that no, money does not make the game, nor do people care enough about big-budget blockbusters to fork over extra cash for a poor product. In fact, 2025 proved that games are not a product at all, but works of art crafted with passion and care.
So, out of all the tremendous titles we've had this year, some certainly stood out the most. And we want to recognize that and appreciate the work that went into creating them. In light of that, we're doing our own game awards this year, highlighting the best titles that reshaped the industry.
Here are our nominees.
Destructoid's 2025 Best Games - the Nominees
For the awards, we've chosen eleven categories, nominating five games in each category. The winners will be announced tomorrow, including the Game of the Year winner. However, we wouldn't be who we are without you, our dear readers, so we'll give you the honors of selecting your own GOTY at the end of the article.
With that in mind, here are the games we felt left the strongest impression on 2025:
Destructoid's Game of the Year
Best Indie Game
Best RPG
Best Narrative
Best Multiplayer Game
Best Live-Service Game
Best Acting Performance
Best Sports Game
Best Action Game
Best Fighting Game
Most Anticipated Game
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 leads the charge in the nominations, being present in three categories, as well as having a whopping three performances in the Best Acting Performance category. It's no wonder, considering it's one of the most acclaimed games of all time, having already swept up The Golden Joysticks. It's most likely it'll sweep up tomorrow's The Game Awards as well, setting a precedent for AA gaming.
Destructoid's Community Game of the Year
As promised, you, our dear readers, will have the opportunity to choose your own 2025 GOTY. You can vote for one of our own nominees shown in the GOTY category above, or write any game you found remarkable enough to be considered for this prestigious title.
The votes will be tallied by tomorrow evening, which is when we will publish both our own winners and the ultimate choice of our wonderful community.

The Delta Old-Fashioned donut is a special item to bake in Pokémon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension, and the recipe can be pretty tricky.
There's a host of different donuts you can bake from Ansha using different Hyper Berries that can be found as part of the Mega Dimension DLC. This guide will list the complete recipe required to prepare the Delta Old-Fashioned donut.
Delta Old-Fashioned donut recipe in Pokémon Legends Z-A
The process of crafting the Delta Old-Fashioned donut is pretty much the same as crafting any other donut. Head to Hotel Z, where you'll find Ansha and her bakery. Proceed with the order, and pick the following ingredients to complete the recipe.
Once you have finalized the recipe, confirm your order, and Ansha will start the preparations for your donut. This specific donut is required to summon and fight Rayquaza, which is one of the hardest battles in the game.
You can acquire the Hyper Berries randomly by completing different quests that are part of the Mega Dimension DLC. Try to save the ones that you'll require in the recipe mentioned above to ensure that you can bake the Delta Old-Fashioned donut when required.
Incidentally, the Delta isn't the only Old-Fashioned donut that you can bake from Ansha. You can also bake the Alpha and Omega Old-Fashioned donuts to take on Primal Kyogre and Groudon, respectively. If you're confused about how to craft those, we have dedicated guides for those recipes.
The Omega Old-Fashioned donut has the most complicated recipe in terms of the Hyper Berries that you'll require to complete the baking process.

The Joga Bonito Challenge 3 SBC is now live in FC 26 Ultimate Team, and you can complete it to earn a free pack.
Like all fodder challenges, you can use lower-rated cards to complete a squad and exchange it to get a bonus pack. If you're lucky, you can find a promo card/walkout from the pack. At worst, you'll get fodder to complete more SBCs that can reward you with special cards.
This guide will help you to complete the SBC without breaking the bank.

FC 26 Joga Bonito Challenge 3 SBC tasks
The Joga Bonito Challenge 3 SBC has only one task, and here are its requirements.
Joga Bonito Challenge 3 SBC
The requirements for the challenge are pretty stiff, as you'll have to ensure a minimum squad chemistry of 31.
FC 26 Joga Bonito Challenge 3 SBC solutions
The objective is to use cards that are already available in your club. However, if you get stuck, you can use the following solution to unlock all the rewards quickly.
Completing the challenge will help you get a Prime Gold Players Pack that offers 12 Gold Player items. Six of those items are guaranteed to be Rare, with one rated 82 or higher. All the rewards are untradeable, so you can't sell any of the cards. However, the fodder will be helpful to complete other challenges, which will save you coins in turn.

The Game Awards returns this week for another ceremony to honor the biggest and best games and devs of 2025, but that's just part of the reason gamers everywhere will be watching along.
As usual, the best part of The Game Awards (other than the awards themselves, which recognize good work in the industry) is the surprises. But there are some games that we know for sure will appear in some capacity, whether it be a trailer or release date announcement.
Here's what we know so far will be shown at The Game Awards 2025, and some rumors on what else may pop up. More confirmations are expected throughout the week, and we will keep this info updated as it comes in.
Table of contents
The Game Awards 2025 announcements
Tomb Raider
The long awaited new adventure for Lara Croft will be revealed at TGA. The news was initially confirmed in the Game Awards experience in Fortnite on Dec. 8 and then announced by Keighley not long after.
Phantom Blade Zero
The upcoming action RPG from Chinese studio S-GAME will reveal its anticipated release date, presumably alongside some new footage or a trailer.
Resident Evil Requiem
Is it finally time? Will we get our Leon S. Kennedy reveal just over two months before we return to Raccoon City one final time? "Tune in for a terrifying new look" at RE9, the show teases.
SAROS
The next game from Returnal devs Housemarque will make an appearance during the show, PlayStation revealed.
Exodus
The upcoming sci-fi RPG from many former BioWare devs will showcase a new trailer ahead of its 2026 release window, and I'm excited to see what's being cooked here.
"regal.inspiring.thickness"
Whatever the heck is going on with this (it's NOT Bloodborne 2, sorry) will be revealed during the stream. Speculation about this game is all over the place, but my money is on it being absolutely nothing anyone was expecting and thus a disappointment to everyone, no matter how cool it might actually be.
Leakers are suggesting it may have to do with a Divinity: Original Sin 3 announcement.
LEGO Batman
The upcoming new LEGO Batman game that looks more like a new Arkham City in LEGO form confirmed its participation in the showcase.
New Wildflower Interactive title
The first game from a new studio led by former Naughty Dog dev Bruce Straley will be making its debut.
Marvel Rivals
The free-to-play hero shooter just celebrated its first birthday, and NetEase Games has some sort of news to deliver about its future.
Jonathan Blow teaser
The dev behind The Witness and Braid is teasing something TGA-related.
SEGA teaser
SEGA posted a cryptic teaser on YouTube to "stay tuned, you won't want to miss it" for the show.
Rumors and baseless speculation
It's always fun to speculate on what may appear, even though it always sets everyone up to be let down. Half-Life 3? Probably not. Grand Theft Auto 6? Also negative. But we can expect something from Hideo Kojima (Keighley's pal is always down to show up, and he is currently in Los Angeles), like Death Stranding 2 PC port or DLC news.
There are plenty of games that are due for some news or announcements, like Final Fantasy VII Remake part three, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, Marvel's Blade, Fable, and countless others. But for now, stay tuned to see what leaks ahead of the show.
A safe bet is some Hollywood appearances, like for Fallout season two and other upcoming video game adaptations. That always makes for some uncomfy situations. And you can bet there will be an acceptance speech that goes on a bit too long as well, but don't forget, that's what this stuff is truly all about.
The Game Awards 2025 begins at 6:30pm CT with its half-hour pre-show on Dec. 11, with the three-hour showcase beginning at 7pm CT.
