In a recent interview with Forbes writer Paul Tassi, known for his extensive coverage of Destiny 2, Gafner shares some insights regarding his time with Bungie. As part of the Q&A, Gafner details how community team members at companies that take a public stance on equality issues are likely to face harassment during their tenure. PCGamesN Friday, January 6, 2023 11:33 AM Want to know more about the upcoming Genshin Impact events? A new version of Genshin Impact arrives every six weeks, complete with new characters, quests, and events. It's difficult to keep track of which events are currently running and if there are any new ones coming soon, so here's a schedule for all current and upcoming Genshin Impact events. There are usually a number of Genshin Impact events running simultaneously, and they aren't just in-game events. When a new Genshin Impact character joins the game, the devs launch a web event at the same time - players learn about the latest characters through an interactive story told through a web browser. The rewards for completing different events range from in-game items like primogems and mora, to real life prizes like mouse mats and plushies. Just like the Genshin Impact banners, most events are only available for a limited time, so it's worth participating as soon as you can. New events are usually added to Genshin Impact after an update, but it's worth keeping an eye out on this page as the devs do like to surprise the community. PCGamesN Friday, January 6, 2023 11:23 AM Minecraft glow squid shimmer and shine in the deep waters of the overworld, and drop a very special item. Equal parts infuriating and addictive, Fall Guys is the brightest, bounciest battle royale game we've ever failed repeatedly at - and we have failed at a lot of battle royales. PCGamesN Friday, January 6, 2023 10:04 AM Want to know how to make a Minecraft anvil? An anvil in Minecraft is a great tool to have, you can use it to repair and rename items, as well as combine enchanted items. The anvil is similar to a grindstone; however, any items used on the Minecraft anvil will keep any applied enchantments. An anvil can become damaged over time and has a 12% chance of damaging every time it's used - this doesn't affect the anvil's function, but it will wear down until it's eventually destroyed. It's not possible to repair an anvil, so you'll need to keep the Minecraft anvil recipe to hand. Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Friday, January 6, 2023 12:35 PM I'll try not to bang on about it, but in the interests of transparency, it's important to stress how much I loathe most soulslikes. Even the name, to be frank. So when I say that I don't love Asterigos Colon Curse of the Stars, it's not as damning as it may sound. You're Hilda, a stabby lass who, for reasons, must investigate and lift a curse from a big ol' fantasy city. By exploring its districts and stabbing lots of weird dudes. Aiding you is a network of semi-suspicious locals, and the kind of immortality that makes death more annoying than anything. It's a hybrid, really, of a Souls-ish game and a more traditional hack and slash action RPG. Regular attacks don't consume stamina, and instead of finding or buying weapons, you start out with a complete set, and swap their movesets in and out as needed. I respect that it picks and chooses soulsy elements instead of tracing over the whole design. |
Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Friday, January 6, 2023 12:18 PM I knew Minecraft had an ending, but I didn't know that ending consists of an unskippable 9 minute long poem. I also didn't know that last month the author of that poem, Julian Gough, placed it into the public domain, which according to him he's legally entitled to do because nobody at Mojang or Microsoft ever successfully got him to sign a contract.
He now says Microsoft are stonewalling any attempts to contact them about whether or not they own the copyright, and that this silence killed a piece he'd written for an unnamed "global news organisation" because they didn't want to risk drawing the ire of Microsoft's 1700 strong lawer team. That piece was actually an edited version of Gough's blog post from last month, where he explained the situation and submitted the poem to the public domain - while making multiple references to the poem being written by the universe, and also how taking psychedelics lead him to conclude that not allowing himself to be compensated would be a "blockage of the flow of love". It's a trip.

Described as a spiritual sibling to their most recent OPUS game, the brilliant Echo Of Starsong, the exact magic combo of words that made my eyes go all wide and saucer-like was "a cross between What Remains Of Edith Finch and Makoto Shinkai films", which just - you know what, I'm going to shut up now so you can watch the teaser trailer. |

When I first asked the team to put together their most anticipated games for 2023, I was thinking we'd have a reasonably sensible number of things we were all looking forward to, you know, somewhere in the region of the 43 games we highlighted at the start of 2022. Very quickly, though, it became apparent that, actually, there are simply loads of games the RPS Treehouse is personally excited about this year, and cor, it would be rude not to include every last one of them. I'll be upfront: there are a fair number of TBA games on here that probably aren't going to come out in 2023, but as ever, we remain hopeful and optimistic all the same. So let's dive in. |

Some basic requirements include being able to speak in fluent English and being over 18 years of age. Siliconera Friday, January 6, 2023 11:30 AM The Japanese Final Fantasy VII Remake Twitter account often shares insight into the Compilation of FFVII games. There can be peeks at concept art or highlights going over the remake. The latest video goes over a song from the game. Specifically, it is a FFVII Remake Madam M "Luxury Massage" clip showing scenes from Cloud and Aerith's visit to her shop and commentary. Here's the full video. The commentary brings up how the themes from the opening of the track are revisited at the end. It also suggests people go with the 3,000G course for themselves to relax.
As a reminder, in FFVII Remake, people can visit Madam M to get a Cloud a hand massage. There are three options, if you choose to get one. The 100G Poor Man's Course doesn't give you any Madam M side quest points for the Chapter 9 storyline. The 1,000G Standard Course gives you one point. The most expensive is the 3,000G Luxury Course, which provides the most points. Each option involves a different brief scene between the two characters. The number of points you get and choices you make during this suggestion change the dress Cloud wears in the chapter. In the past, the FFVII Remake Japanese Twitter account went over the price of "Loveless" tickets and showed off Banora White apple juice. Final Fantasy VII Remake is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. FFVII Rebirth has a Winter 2023 launch window for the PS5. Siliconera Friday, January 6, 2023 11:00 AM With the release date of Fire Emblem Engage drawing closer, Nintendo has released a trailer going over gameplay features in some detail. A nine-minute Fire Emblem Engage overview trailer gives players the rundown on its systems. The Fire Emblem Engage gameplay overview trailer is in Japanese, and is more or less a condensation of information released piecemeal through social media and other channels. The exception to this is individual character information, as the trailer focuses more on general systems and world-building information. Though there's not much that hasn't been detailed or hinted at before, the Fire Emblem Engage overview trailer functions as an effective capsule view of the game. Systems like the game's central mechanic of Engaging with the Emblems based on other Fire Emblem titles' heroes is seen front-and-center. Characters can equip special rings that invoke the powers of characters like Marth, Lucina, and Byleth. Using them also allows the character to change their appearance and carry out unique attacks. Different The game's various classes are also highlighted, as is the ability to change characters' classes or upgrade their current class to maximize their potential. Gameplay in the home base area of Somniel ("Soranel" in the Japanese edition) is also shown in the Fire Emblem Engage overview trailer. Minigames like exercising, wyvern riding, and pet care are showcased. The ability to visit characters, have conversations with them, and see them in their "off-duty" wear is highlighted. The two new skins for Ayaka and Lisa are both outfits based on other areas, with the costumes inspired by the Genshin Impact regions of Fontaine and Sumeru. Ayaka's is the Fontaine style. Siliconera Friday, January 6, 2023 7:30 AM The next round of character wishes is coming with Genshin Impact's new update. The planned version 3.4 update was detailed in a livestream event on January 6, 2023. As anticipated, HoYoVerse plans for the Genshin Impact 3.4 banners to add two new characters: Alhaitham and Yaoyao, as well as reruns for Xiao, Hu Tao, and Yelan. Alhaitham is the next 5-Star character in the Genshin Impact. A resident of Sumeru, Alhaitham is the scribe of the Akademiya. He played a major role in the Sumeru Archon quests. He's also a Dendro unit who appears to use a sword in the 3.4 story trailer. Not counting the Traveler, the Genshin Impact 3.4 banners will bring him in as the third 5-Star Dendro character in the game, alongside Tighnari and Nahida. Yaoyao is also a Dendro unit, and is the first Dendro polearm character, as well as the first Dendro character to hail from outside Sumeru. Living in Liyue, she's a disciple of Madam Ping, a prominent Liyue personality. She carries the Adepti treasure Yuegui, which takes the form of a rabbit-like plush. It was given to her by Cloud Retainer. As for the Wish banners themselves, the Genshin Impact 3.4 banners will first feature Alhaitham and a rerun for Xiao. Yaoyao will be the 4-Star character on the banner. Midway through the update timeline, the Limited Wish banners will change over, giving players another chance to roll for Hu Tao and Yelan. The weapon banner will also feature a 5-Star Sword weapon. Genshin Impact is available on iOS, Android, PS4, PS5, and PC. The version 3.4 update should go live on January 18, 2023. PC Invasion - FeedDDD Friday, January 6, 2023 11:45 AM There are a lot of differing opinions on which is the best crosshair for Ashe in Overwatch 2. And there's no one correct answer. What we will be showing you here is what we have found to work the best for us, and what we think will work well for most players. Your results may vary, so if this crosshair doesn't suit you, experiment and find one that does! OK, now on to the crosshair itself. Setting up the best crosshair for Ashe in Overwatch 2 The crosshair we settled on for this is a green dot – both for hip-fire and when you are scoped in. A mistake a lot of players will make with Ashe is treating her like a sniper – which she isn't. Ashe is a marksman hero. The difference is that she's close-mid to long-mid range, not actually a long-range specialist that a hero like Widowmaker or Hanzo would be classified as. You want to spend more time hip-firing with Ashe than scoped in, using her scope only to finish off enemies. As such finding the be... |

PC Invasion - FeedDDD Friday, January 6, 2023 10:10 AM Bugs and Overwatch 2 are almost synonymous at this point, at the recent January 2023 balance patch has bugged out two characters. Junker Queen was the real winner of the January 2023 patch, with buffs intended to slingshot her into viability. But what likely wasn't on Overwatch 2 and Blizzard's radar was a potentially game-breaking bug that might allow Junker Queen to use her Carnage infinitely without cooldowns. Meanwhile, those screaming for a Kiriko nerf will be happy to see this latest bug that impacts her Swift Step ability. Junker Queen's Carnage is a huge sweeping axe attack that deals a good amount of damage. This ability received a big buff this patch, reducing its cooldown by 2 seconds whenever you get a takedown with Carnage. This cooldown reduction works per enemy defeated, meaning you can potentially have no cooldowns at all. Unfortunately, this buff went on a little too strong, and Junker Queen can farm cooldown reduction off of destructible objects. Unl... |
PC Invasion - FeedDDD Friday, January 6, 2023 9:55 AM Mei is the frosty hero that most Overwatch 2 players have grown to hate. Her original playstyle in Overwatch is largely reviled, with her primary fire originally freezing the enemy altogether, allowing for an easy headshot. Her gameplay is a little different in Overwatch 2 now, with her primary fire dealing more damage but losing the freeze. Still, Mei is an annoying champion to deal with, in combination with her slows and ultimate ability, Blizzard, which still can freeze enemies. However, despite the irritability that may arise from Mei's existence, there are still plenty of ways to counter this chilling champ. Mei has many exploitable aspects of her kit, including her lack of mobility, her lack of range, and her lower-than-average damage. With all these aspects considered, Mei is generally not considered a strong hero. Follow this guide to learn why and how you can counter Mei next time you see her in one of your ranked games. WGB, Home of AWESOME Reviews Friday, January 6, 2023 1:25 PM The Crossfire franchise was something of a mystery to me, a name that has been around since the early 2000's and boasts of being the biggest FPS in the world. Yet, like me, you probably haven't even heard of it. In 2020 the free-to-play shooter laid claim to a whopping 6 million active players, with most of those being in Asia, and has grossed over $ 10 billion. Over the past few years, there's been an effort to push Crossfire into Western markets, as well as turn into a multi-genre franchise. So, with my limited knowledge of what Crossfire is, I decided to check out Crossfire: Legion, an RTS developed by Canadian studio Blackbird Interactive. |
