PCGamesN Tuesday, April 4, 2023 4:58 PM Since 2014, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players have had one complaint: cheaters. Instead of upgrading the FPS game's anti-cheat software, VAC or delivering a one-time solution, Valve has deployed a series of annual ban waves. The paywall update in 2021 did little to help solve the problem; CSGO hackers, it turned out, were pretty loaded - a lot of them could simply buy their way back in. Now, with the Counter-Strike 2 release date approaching, there is hope of a new and more robust anti-cheat solution. The CS2 trailers however seem to have doused those hopes in cold water. Siliconera Tuesday, April 4, 2023 9:49 PM Nintendo just released the 2.0.0 Fire Emblem Engage patch, and its notes indicate two free bonuses for players. One is a typical update bonus with enhancement items. The other makes it possible for everyone to get the Fire Emblem Engage Fire Emblem Heroes. Order of Heroes Item Set DLC. Support is also added for the new Fell Xenologue campaign. With Update Bonus 2, you get nine different kinds of crystals once you load up a save file. Here's the full list of items. These can be used to augment Engage weapons.
People can also claim the Fire Emblem Heroes Order of Heroes DLC from the Fire Emblem Engage page in the eShop. Previously, you had to play the mobile game to claim the three weapons. Once downloaded, you get Alfonse's Folkvangr sword, Anna's Noatun ace, and Sharena's Fensalir Polearm, the Alfonse S ring, Anna S ring, and Sharena S ring. Here are the full 2.0.0 Fire Emblem Engage patch notes from Nintendo Support.

Siliconera Tuesday, April 4, 2023 9:35 PM Nintendo released the 2.0.0 Fire Emblem Engage patch, and that means people who purchased the expansion pass can now access the Fell Xenologue DLC. However, it isn't immediately available to play. You actually need to get to a certain point in the story and unlock other features before you can also take advantage of this new storyline. How to Access the Fire Emblem Engage Fell Xenologue DLCFirst, you need to reach chapter seven in the main campaign. This is because the Fell Xenologue DLC is tied to a free gameplay feature added in the 1.3.0 update, the Ancient Well. If you've done so, then loading your save after updating to 2.0.0 will trigger a cutscene introducing the Fell Xenologue DLC campaign. Your version of Alear will be talking with Xander in front of the Ancient Well. He'll instruct you to look at it. The game will then offer a tutorial explaining you can enter it there and visit it as you'd like. If you are just coming back to the game and unlocking the Ancient Well and DLC access at once, first go through the process of unlocking the well at the Armory. After that, return to the well. The cutscene with Xander will play. When you go to the Ancient Well after that point, you'll get options to exchange items at the well as usual, access the Fell Xenologue, or change its difficulty. The three difficulty options are Normal, Hard, and Maddening. You can continue to change it, and you won't lose or gain rewards depending on the difficulty. Fire Emblem Engage is available for the Nintendo Switch, as is the Fell Xenologue wave 4 DLC. The post How to Access the Fire Emblem Engage Fell Xenologue DLC appeared first on Siliconera. |

Siliconera Tuesday, April 4, 2023 7:00 PM The latest Pokemon GO spring event means people can now catch Pokemon Sword and Shield's Cutiefly and evolve it into Ribombee in the game. It's a permanent addition, which means you can find it basically forever now that it's available. However, it will only be more easily and frequently seen in-game until April 10, 2023. Fortunately, it isn't too difficult to happen upon one. However, as its new, it isn't available in its shiny form yet. Cutiefly is a somewhat uncommon spawn in the wild in Pokemon GO, which means you'll likely see Buneary and Bunnelby more often. (I only saw two all day, and that involved taking a walk.) But they aren't the most rare and I saw it more frequently than I did the flower crown Chansey or Togetic. You also have a chance of hatching a 2km egg with Cutiefly in it if you acquire the egg before April 10, 2023. [gallery columns="1" ids="958345" link="file"] As for how to evolve it into Ribombee in Pokemon GO, that isn't too difficult either. You only need 50 Cutiefly candies. There are no other special conditions. If you have enough Pinaps on hand, you'll only need to catch eight Cutiefly to get enough candies for the evolution. Pokemon GO is available for Android and Apple iOS devices. Its Remote Raid Pass price will increase on April 6, 2023. Siliconera Tuesday, April 4, 2023 4:00 PM Persona is a series that's done super well for Atlus over the years. Basically, a Shin Megami Tensei spin-off turned into an IP that is more recognizable to some than the original RPGs that spawned it. This does mean it might seem a bit overwhelming to hop into the series. Especially since there are numbered installments and spin-offs. However, it's all really quite approachable, and it isn't too difficult to jump in if you're wondering how to start playing through the Persona games. How to Play the Mainline Persona Games in OrderFirst, here is the full list of Persona games. Only certain entries really should be played in order. You should play Revelations: Persona/SMT Persona before Persona 2: Innocent Sin, then Innocent Sin before Eternal Punishment. There are overarching elements that all tie together here, as well as recurring characters. With the later Persona games, it's best to start with a Persona 3 entry, then move on to Persona 4 and 5. However, all three are completely self-contained, so you don't have to play them all in order or worry about losing context if you only choose to go through one.
But What About the Persona Game Spin-Offs?Okay, this isn't too tricky. Mainly, because only one line of spin-offs actually has a consistent story to it. Even though the Dancing and Q games are considered sequels, there's no overarching story. Persona 4 ArenaThese are the fighting games with Persona 3 and 4 characters. Ultimax takes place after the original, so play them in order to get the full story! Though if you're getting one of the more modern remasters of Ultimax, you're good and can already go through things properly in order.
Persona DancingAll of the Persona Dancing entries are rhythm games. A good rule of thumb is to play the ones for entries whose soundtracks you enjoyed most.
Persona QThese are essentially Persona takes on the Etrian Odyssey dungeon-mapping formula. Each installment is self-contained. So play the original if you only like the Persona 3 and 4 characters, and go into Persona Q2 if you like the Persona 3, 4 and 5 folks. The sequel does build on mechanics, so you may want to go with that second if you play both.
Persona 5 StrikersThis is a weird one too! It takes place after Persona 5. Not Persona 5 Royal, to be specific. It's a Musou-style beat'em up, so play and beat Persona 5 before getting into this PS4, Switch, and PC game for the best experience.
