In a California WARN notice, Sega of America stated that it will layoff 61 employees on March 8, 2024. Some Sega employees in the quote retweets on social media already announced their impending departure. [Thanks, What Layoff!]
This news comes after two major releases for Sega and Atlus. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth came out on January 26, 2024. Meanwhile, Persona 3 Reload will come out on February 2, 2024. These games had worldwide releases. That means that the localization teams in Sega of America worked alongside the Japanese development team's schedule to put out the products.
Many replies to the tweet express disappointment, though also noting that it's bad how about 60 layoffs does not seem so bad. This is likely a reference to the recent layoffs from Activision Blizzard, Xbox, and Zenimax. On January 25, 2024, Microsoft laid off almost 2,000 employees from the three subsidiaries. Other Twitter (X) users wondered if the union that Sega of America employees formed in July 2023 didn't work. Some even speculated that this is Sega of America's response to said union.
As a reminder, this news did not come from an official Sega account. Sega has not yet made a statement about these layoffs, nor how it may affect current projects. Aside from the aforementioned Like a Dragon: Infinite and Persona 3 Reload, there has been rumors of a potential Sonic Generations reveal at State of Play, which will broadcast on January 31, 2024.

McDonald's Japan teased new Pokemon toys for an upcoming line of Happy Meal toys on social media. It looks like you'll be able to get toys that look like Pikachu, Piplup, Milcery, and Espurr.
The tweet shows the four Pokemon standing in what looks like a house. The Milcery is floating in the air above the Piplup. It seems as if the Pokemon are to scale, since Milcery is considerably smaller than the other ones. However, Pikachu's head seems abnormally large in the silhouette in that case. The accompanying tweet reads, "They look like residents of a certain house" along with a thinking face emoji.
All four Pokemon are vastly popular species from the franchise. Pikachu is one of the most recognizable Pokemon, and Piplup clawed its way into popularity ever since its initial appearance in DP. Espurr debuted in XY and quickly gained online popularity due to its blank stare and its sad episode in the anime. Pokemon SV, the current generation of Pokemon, also had a recent event in which players had a higher chance of obtaining a Shiny Milcery, which they could then evolve into a Shiny Alcremie.
More information on the upcoming McDonald's Japan possible Happy Meal collaboration with Pokemon will appear in the near future. This is not the first time that the two companies teamed up together for merchandise. In 2021, Pokemon teamed up with both Katy Perry and McDonald's for the 25th anniversary and in 2023, summer festival toys featuring Pokemon designs were available throughout August.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are readily available on the Nintendo Switch.

HoYoVerse shared the 2.0 Honkai: Star Rail version preview site, and on it is a new character profile for the Stellaron Hunter Sam. It shares insights about the character, a video clip, and new art, and during so notes that this is someone in a mecha suit.
Rather than the 2.0 Honkai: Star Rail Characters section, the new information about Sam shows up in the enemies area. This is because, as revealed during the "If One Dreams at Midnight" Special Program, players will take part in a boss fight against the Stellaron Hunter. The profile for the member of Kafka's squad confirmed this is actually a character inside of a "mecha suit," rather than a robot like someone such as Screwllum.
Here is the official description:
The profile page also offers a video clip of Sam attacking the Trailblazer and their party.
Here's a closer look at the art shared by HoYoVerse of the character:
We've generally known about Sam being a member of Kafka's group for a while. However, this Stellaron Hunter hasn't appeared in-game until this upcoming update. HoYoVerse did tease an appearance during the Kafka "The Jepella Rebellion - Scene 47" trailer. The two help lead the rebellion at the 2:33 mark of that video.
Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and 2.0 will launch on February 6, 2024.

Despite being in Early Access, Palworld's world is huge, meaning players could get overwhelmed when deciding where to travel to first. Here's the full Palworld map, including the best places to build a base, catch powerful pals, and more.
Full Palworld map
The full Palworld map is gigantic, and even with the fastest flying mount, it would still take a few minutes to get from the top to the bottom. With the map being so big, it's a good idea to have an idea of places to explore over others so that you can start off your adventure strong.
You can see the full Palworld map below:
Best Base locations in Palworld
There are three locations where I'd recommend building a Base, depending on what you're looking to do. My favorite place, where I've built a Base myself, is in the Windswept Hills. During your adventure, you're going to need a LOT of Ore to make Ingot. I'm talking hundreds, if not thousands, of pieces.
This Base location, found at coordinates 156, -393, features eight Ore rocks for you to mine, and the best part is that they respawn regularly. Assign a handful of Digtoise to your Base along with some beds and Feed Box, and watch as they go to town automatically mining your Ore for you while you're off exploring Palworld's giant map.
The second place I'd recommend building a Base is in the Twilight Dunes desert, at no coordinates in particular. Not only is it full of Digtoise and Dumud, who drop High Quality Pal Oil (which you'll need to craft certain weapons, Pal Gear, and Polymer), but there are also a few Coal deposits here. Coal is used to craft Refined Ingot and Carbon Fiber). You will need to equip heat-resistant armor to use this Base location, as it's in the sweltering desert. It is worth it, though, especially for crafters, as resources are rife.
Finally, the area around the Mount Obsidian Midpoint fast travel point makes for a great Base location once you're above level 35 or so. This is located on Mount Obsidian in the southwest corner of the Palworld map at coordinates -355, -410. There are several Sulfur mining points here, which you'll need when crafting Gunpowder, a necessary item for players who use firearms.
Best Pal locations in Palworld
If you're looking to add the best Pals to your team, there are a handful of locations you'll need to visit to obtain them. Here are the 10 Pals I personally recommend catching and where to find them:
You can see their exact locations in the map below:
Jetragon is the best flying mount in Palworld, while Pals like Warsect and Helzephyr are fantastic in combat. If you're looking for the best efficiency for your Base, Anubis and Grizzbolt are great picks.
Palworld is now available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

PC Invasion - FeedDDD Tuesday, January 30, 2024 10:40 PM There are many tasks that Pals can perform in your base. That includes Water-type Pals as well. Here are the best Pals for Watering in Palworld. Palworld: Best Pals for Watering Image: Pocketpair Watering in Palworld is one of the many activities that Pals can engage in when they are summoned to a base. Watering Pals will not only just water the plants but also use their powerful water blasts or aqua guns to move water wheels that will help craft and produce many items and resources essential for the sustainability of your Pals, base, and character. Like other activities, there are 4 different levels. The higher the level, the more complex Watering tasks that a Pal can perform. PC Invasion - FeedDDD Tuesday, January 30, 2024 9:52 PM Nothing like a deadly boss encounter to spice things up a bit. Maybe the result is too spicy for my taste. Anyway, here is the Son of Malphas location in Diablo 4. Where to find Son of Malphas in Diablo 4 With the amount of Malphas-adjacent nomenclature in Diablo 4 Season of the Construct, specifying which enemy the community is talking about surely comes in handy. Son of Malphas is not a Herald of Malphas, Echo of Malphas is not Malphas precisely, and apples are not the same as oranges. Anyway, Son of Malphas is, like their adequately-named counterparts, a boss you can encounter during your adventures across the five different Vaults – which are basically machine-themed dungeons with lots of deadly traps. Now, the trick is that the Son of Malphas is actually anywhere and everywhere, all at once. Allow me to explain.
