In the '80s and '90s, Stephen King adaptations developed a reputation for being (with important exceptions) mostly dreadful. When is the Resident Evil 9 release date? 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of Capcom's beloved survival horror series, and it stands to reason that the next installment is as much a look back at what came before as it is another step forward. The official reveal at Summer Game Fest was as good a confirmation as any.

RE9, otherwise known as Resident Evil Requiem, takes us back to Raccoon City for the first time following its destruction at the end of RE3. It's one of the most iconic horror game locations and holds a lot of memories for Resident Evil's characters, history, and fans. Prepare for this zombie-infested trip down memory lane with everything we know about the RE9 release date, including the latest trailers, news, and theories.

You reach the door at the end of a dark, upturned kitchen. With the flicker of your cigarette lighter the only illumination, you twist the knob to open it, only for a petrified corpse to slump out and collapse at your feet. A gruesome find, but not a threat. A sigh of relief. Then, a giant, gnarled hand reaches past you from the shadows, lifting the corpse into the air, and feeding it into the blood-stained mouth of a hulking, ogre-like woman. Now, it's time to run. I may have only seen around 20 minutes of gameplay for Resident Evil 9, or Requiem, but this moment has been etched in my brain. That's good news for those hoping for some properly heart-pounding horror from Capcom's beloved series; it's bad news for my sleep pattern.

Age of Empires 4 took me by surprise. I'm a cast-iron AoE 2 acolyte. More broadly, I think the visual design of RTS games peaked in the '90s - Command and Conquer, Jagged Alliance, and Total Annihilation remain three of the best-looking games of all time, regardless of genre. In theory, AoE 4, which is a real-time strategy game in 3D (I know!) shouldn't work for me. But Relic, World's Edge, and Forgotten Empires' sequel is a more-than-deserving companion to AoE 2. If you haven't played it before, the gigantic Deluxe edition is now available for ultra-cheap.

How do you test the latest Minecraft features? These snapshots are the very first iteration of Minecraft updates and are a way for Mojang to test out bug fixes, technical changes, and even new blocks, biomes, and mobs before officially rolling them out. Anyone with the Java edition of the creative game can try these features without any risk to your current world, while Minecraft Preview exists for those on Bedrock edition, so read on to find out how to be the first to try the next big Minecraft update.

During Minecraft Live, the next big Minecraft update or drop is revealed to the community. At past events, we've had the likes of the Caves and Cliffs update, The Wild Update, and the Trails and Tales update - each of them overhauling the base game with new Minecraft biomes, blocks, and mobs. Since these updates come with so much new content, they need to be tested out first, and that's where Minecraft snapshots and Minecraft Preview come in. Use them to test out new experimental features before anyone else, and feedback to Mojang if you have any issues. It's a win-win situation.

What are the latest Fortnite map POIs? Continuing a very mismatched Fortnite season - we've had Japanese influence, a Galactic Battle, and a criminal empire - the Superheroes have descended. Perhaps they're here to return things to normal. Intel is going all out on bargain CPU deals at the moment, and this latest one not only enables you to grab an Intel Core i5 14600K for just $199.99, but you also get a free MSI AIO cooler and two games as well, including Civilization 7. The free gifts alone would cost you just $184.98, meaning the 14-core Intel CPU effectively costs you just $15. I've seen some genuinely good deals in my time, but this one is outstanding in terms of value.

Unlike the recent Intel Arrow Lake chips, the Core i5 14600K is based on the last-gen Raptor Lake architecture, which is much better for gaming. Given that the Core i5 14600K usually costs more than $200 anyway, and launched at an MSRP of $329, the fact that you can now get it for $199.99, plus a load of free goodies, makes this one of the best gaming CPU deals I've ever seen.

While the Switch 2 vs Steam Deck meme war plays out on social media, I'm in the enviable position of owning both handhelds at the moment, and I love them both for different reasons. There's a lot of talk about GPU power, though, and not much in the way to back it up. After all, you can't easily benchmark the Switch 2. You can, however, take a good look at the two devices' GPUs and make a decent prediction, which is what I'm doing here.

I'm not going to tell you which is the best gaming handheld of the two, as that's largely down to the games you want to play and the user experience you prefer, but I can pull apart the inner workings of the AMD GPU inside the Steam Deck GPU, as well as the new Nvidia GPU inside the Switch 2, and give you an idea of how they perform.

What are the best Resident Evil Village settings for PC and Steam Deck? Taking quite the detour from the disturbing events that took place in the Baker residence, Resident Evil Village brings new horrors to the series, but isn't a nightmare to run on PC or Steam Deck thanks to detailed settings options.

Resident Evil Village doesn't demand the best graphics card, asking for an Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 560 at minimum tier. The Resident Evil Village system requirements are generally quite low, but that doesn't mean there isn't potential to push Village to look stunning when running on high-end gaming PCs.

What are the best MOBAs? You'd be forgiven for thinking that all you had to choose from in the MOBA genre was League of Legends or Dota 2. They're both behemoths of the gaming landscape and have pretty much cornered the market on isometric team battlers but there are, however, a few up-and-comers that may stake a claim for the MOBA crown, as well as a few older entries that are still worth your time.

MOBAs have been around for many years - the genre was originally born from player-made custom games. The first MOBA was a Starcraft custom map called Aeon of Strife, which then inspired the incredibly popular Warcraft III custom game Defense of the Ancients. Modders from the original DotA went on to create Riot's League of Legends, and Valve's Dota 2, bringing MOBA gameplay to even wider audiences. So, if you're looking to take your first, wobbly steps into the MOBA genre, you may be wondering which MOBA will be the best fit - here's the lowdown on the biggest MOBAs around to give you a headstart, many of which are easily some of the best free PC games you can right now. Several of the key Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 specs appear to have just been leaked on a PC and laptop manufacturer's storefront, adding more evidence to the pile about the rumored new gaming GPU. Nvidia hasn't even officially announced the RTX 5050, but this is one of a number of leaks suggesting that its release is imminent.

This latest specs leak concerns the laptop chip, rather than the rumored desktop Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 version, but if it's true, it looks as though both the desktop and laptop versions of the RTX 5050 will share the same core specs. This latest rumor about the unannounced Nvidia GPU not only appears to reveal the number of CUDA cores and the memory configuration, but also specifically states the boost and base clock speeds of the RTX 5050.

I've always found Dune: Awakening an oddball concept – it's been repeatedly made clear, by Zendaya no less, that Arrakis will immediately kill, flay, and digest anyone who pokes a toe into its sands without an impossible sci-fi techsuit and a lifetime of edged weapons training. Not, you'd suspect, an obvious setting for a survival crafting game where genre conventions demand you begin life as some naked loser picking up sticks.

And yet, Awakening has turned out alright, hoisting desert exploration and ominous sci-fi atmospherics above the tedious 24/7 resource gathering that has choked out certain peers. PC performance is workable too, with enough concessions towards low-end rigs, though it's not crysknife-sharp either: some technical mishaps need a prompt patching, while Unreal Engine 5 is up to its usual stuttering nonsense.

Resident Evil: Requiem's first trailer tied it unambiguously to the wider Resiverse, with sweeping footage of a nuked and abandoned Raccoon City, but the slice of zombie survival I saw at this year's Summer Game Fest felt like a pocket horror experiment in the vein of P.T. and Amnesia: The Bunker. In Capcom's sci-fi third-person shooter Pragmata, you are a gruff and gun-toting astronaut called Hugh Williams who is exploring an AI-operated moon base with the help of a juvenile android, Diana. She rides on your back like a sinister blue-eyed goblin, her enormous mop of blonde hair flapping in the wind as Hugh jets around on his suit thrusters.

The notes of God Of Warlike deuteragonism here betray Pragmata's dragged-out development – it was announced in 2020, when Dad & Sprog action games were all the rage, but was delayed "indefinitely" in 2023. Still, the game I played at this year's Summer Game Fest didn't seem greatly the worse for its long spell in cryostasis. It's a slick-thinking girl's shooter and a gratifyingly bright and clicky piece of lunar set dressing, with shattering robot enemies that put me wistfully in mind of Binary Domain.

Towards the end of my hands-off demo for Onimusha: Way Of The Sword, Capcom introduced me to a bunch of ragamuffin ninjas who moult their injured selves when struck. It looks like they're springing out of their own dying heads, like Athena bursting from the skull of Zeus. That's the kind of freak factor I want from an action-horror series whose last major instalment released in 2006. A bit of gentle madness to blow the dust off. A generous pinch of vicious little weasels who won't fight fair, to lift this Edo-era yokai hunt above the ranks of action games that just want you to combo and parry ad nauseum.

Mindseye, the game from ex-Rockstar president Leslie Benzies-helmed studio Build a Rocket Boy, has arrived. Its launch has gone, er, a bit glitchily, currently landing the game at a mixed reception on Steam. That said, the studio have at least confirmed an update designed to improve Mindseye's performance is on the way.

If you're out of the loop, the sort of GTA-ish/Cyberpunk-ish game's road to release had been plenty weird prior to it breaking cover. Build a Rocket Boy co-CEO Mark Gerhard had seemingly suggested on the game's Discord server that he believed people were being paid to say negative things about Mindseye, and two other high-profile execs had departed the studio not long before release.

Ian Proulx, the CEO of Splitgate 2 developers 1047 Games, has apologised for wearing a 'Make FPS Great Again' cap while talking about the game's battle royale mode on stage at Summer Game Fest. As you might have guessed, the hat drew unfavourable comparisons to US president Donald Trump's MAGA hats.

It'd have been a pretty dumb, controversy-baiting stunt for a games company CEO to pull at any point in recent history, but especially hasn't gone over well given the timing. As the SGF show happened, a large number of anti-ICE protests also began in response to violent immigration raids, and later that weekend Trump deployed the National Guard onto the streets."

One minute you're flicking through Steam's Next Fest demos, and finding one that looks to be included despite having come out in May. The next, you're desperately firing missiles into the rear end of giant monster truck, a sole red light glaring out from its metallic behind, as though it's mega-pissed that it seems to have gotten stuck in a cluster of trees. Given that, it should be easy prey for the ordnance strapped to the bonnet of my very Mad Max-ish muscle car coated in enough sheets of metal to fence off several allotments.

This is Mad Metal, though, an indie game whose murderous enemy cars have minds of their own and move more like automotive animals than simple machines.

Get a Better Look at the New Honkai Impact 3rd Helia Battlesuit

HoYoVerse started teasing the new Erdos Helia Battlesuit Planar Armament: Warped Spacetime ahead of its debut in Honkai Impact 3rd. While there are no English gameplay or character trailers for it yet, the latest video shows her full art. The description for it also offered a hint at Helia's mindset by this point in the storyline when she gains these new abilities.

We do already know some of the basics about the Planar Armament: Warped Spacetime Battlesuit for Helia in Honkai Impact 3rd. This will be the S-rank character for the new patch. Since this is after Part 2, she does make use of the Astral Ring system. This will be a BIO type of unit. When she attacks, she'll deal Lightning damage to enemies.

The description for her teaser video included two "quotes" from the character about herself and the skills when she uses this Battlesuit. One is a bit generic, as all "she" said is, "I won't stop moving toward new possibilities." The other is a bit more detailed. It referenced the fact that this is a Warped Spacetime suit, suggesting additional versions or realities, as well as her Schicksal Mars team partner and "fellow Part 2 character Coralie 6626 Planck. That quite is, "It's to prove it to myself, to Coralie who has always believed in Helia, and to every single Helia out there—identical, beautiful, and flawed."

Here's the full teaser for the new Honkai Impact 3rd unit:

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/W0o1zcDSBEM

Some folks might have already gotten to go hands-on with this unit. At the end of May 2025, HoYoVerse started taking applications for the test server for the 8.3 beta

Honkai Impact 3rd is available for the PC and mobile devices, and the 8.3 update is on the way.

Death Stranding 2 Trailer Focuses on Dangerous Gameplay

The latest Death Stranding 2: On the Beach trailer appeared ahead of its debut later in June 2025, and this time the focus is on the more hazardous elements of gameplay we'll encounter as Sam Porter Bridges attempts to make deliveries and build up the Chiral Network. While a portion of the video is dedicated to the different structures we can build and supportive elements that help us on our task, it also spends quite a bit of time highlighting how high the stakes will be in this entry.

The latest Death Stranding 2 gameplay trailer first shows some of the regions where Sam will be making deliveries and connecting people to the network. We also see exactly how drastically some areas ended up altered due to the extent of Chiralium present there. In addition to more otherworldly elements like Timefall that ages and degrades things, it also means extreme weather conditions. We see Sam go through a sudden flooded river and major earthquake. There's also a Voidout caused by BTs at about the 1:15 mark.

At about the 1:20 mark, we get to see some of the things Sam can build or use to get by. A picture of the Sam's Stats screen comes up, and that looks at his Carrying Capacity. We see him equip a Bokka Skeleton to help with stability and strength. There are also vehicles and roads shown. The video also closes out by seeing what it is like to deal with hostile humans and BTs while on journeys.

Here's the full Death Stranding 2: On the Beach trailer called"Explore. Connect. Survive."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90gpqJE-tLU

In addition to the first game and the sequel, there will be one more way to take in Death Stranding's world soon. A movie is in development. Kojima Productions confirmed it back in December 2023. While details about it and its direction are slim, Norman Reedus did tell IGN he'd want to reprise his role "if it was an option."

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will launch on the PS5 in early access on June 24, 2025, and the full game debuts on June 26, 2025. There is also a special DualSense controller with a design inspired by it.

Crypton Future Media has announced that it will hold the Hatsune Miku Digital Stars 2025 events. The company has also set up an official website for the Vocaloid club event, which is available in both Japanese and English.

Digital Stars originated as a sub-event for the international Miku Expo tours. It first appeared in 2016 in four US cities: Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. The event reappeared in 2019 in the East Asian cities of Taipei and Hong Kong. And in 2020, it went to Berlin, Germany.

There's Nothing Wrong With the Switch 2 Launch Games Library

Whenever a new system launches, debates also ensue about if it's worth buying right away. Partially due to the quality of the console itself. But the titles that launch alongside it can also make or break a debut. While the Switch 2 launch library might not seem as exciting in some ways, I think it ended up being a really solid collection of games you can play for weeks, months, and in the case of some years to come.

One criticism going in to the Switch 2 is the flagship launch title is Mario Kart World. As of March 31, 2025, the Nintendo IR site noted Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold over 68.2 million units on Switch 2, Mario Kart 8 sold 8.46 million on Wii U, Mario Kart Wii sold 37.38 million on Wii, Mario Kart 7 sold 18.99 million on 3DS, and Mario Kart DS ended up at 23.6 million on DS. Financially, it makes sense. Over multiple console and handheld generations, we see the demand at a glance. Also, given what happened with the Switch installment and room for growth, I think we'll absolutely see a Booster Course Pass or some other sort of ongoing update schedule. This is the company coming in with a title that will be huge at launch, enjoyed alone or with others, and probably supported for a few years.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QeqO0kFz-E

Next is that we actually do have some entirely "new" launch window games for the Switch 2 that add incredibly lengthy experiences to the library. I played Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma. That could easily be a 30-40 hour game just from the campaign and before you get into the daily life, find a partner and settle down, enjoy the post-game with a virtual family experience. Moreover, the Switch 2 experience even without the upgrade pack is making me reconsider only giving it an 8 when I wrote the Switch review, because it's closer to a 9 on the new system. Deltarune Chapters 3 & 4 is something I'm going through now, and it's also a solid commitment. FAST Fusion ended up being a great budget racer in the series with a lot of replayability and, honestly, the kind of challenge is that is sort of missing in Mario Kart World single-player sometimes. While I'm sure it won't be game of the year material, Tamagotchi Plaza is going to fill that launch minigame collection hole that folks invest in when they want something silly and short to play with others. Even though Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time came out on other platforms a bit ahead of Switch 2, this is a 10/10 game that makes you feel like you're only scratching the surface after 100 hours. It's a huge "get" for a new console.

Besides, we also need to consider the value of the HD remasters and definitive editions of games coming to the Switch 2 at launch. While these are returning titles, I think three are exceptionally valuable here. Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster is an updated release of one of the most creative JRPGs Square Enix released in the last 10 years, and it is still absolutely captivating. It looks fantastic with the updated graphics. The single-screen version works great! Yakuza 0: Director's Cut's extra story and multiplayer modes are pleasant extras for what I consider my favorite entry in the series. (The story is so much fun.) Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is going to bring an underrated Shin Megami Tensei spin-off to modern systems for the first time so soon and, as I said in my preview, it's a wonderful game that deserves this second change at a wider audience.

Even the bad games in the Switch 2 launch library offer their own type of value. Survival Kids isn't a good Lost in Blue installment, but it is the type of title adults or older kids could play with younger children to get them adjusted to the console. It's also one of the first examples of the GameShare mechanic, offering a bit of a proof of concept to show how sharing one game among multiple local consoles could work in a low-stress, no-consequence environment. Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour isn't all that much fun and should have been either $5 or free, but it does offer a lot of insights into why the company made certain design decisions via quizzes and tech demo minigame examples.

As for the ports, they represent a really well-rounded bunch of genres. Whenever a new Nintendo console or handheld's shown up, it's often been accompanied by versions of titles that past systems couldn't. With the Switch 2 launch games, we are both seeing that and getting titles that might've had issues on other handhelds like a Steam Deck getting a specific version tailored to this type of experience. Street Fighter 6: Years 1-2 Fighters Edition does that! It looks fantastic, even with compromises. Plus, it involved the motion control mode that could provide a workout. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is something of a wonder. It runs way better than I expected. Sid Meier's Civilization VII - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition fits the bill with integrated mouse controls. And, like many of the new titles, they're lengthy games that take up dozens of hours.

I'd even consider all of the upgrade pack games valuable members of the Switch 2 launch library. In each case, titles are running better than ever. For those who might've skipped the Switch 2, it's a wealth of proven games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Super Mario Odyssey, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 that will work better than before. With upcoming paid expansions for Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree, it's adding major content updates with more to do. These are opportunities to maybe see how great games become even more wonderful with added power and adjustments behind them.

The Switch 2 launch library is packed with great games. There might not be as many first-party endeavors immediately available, beyond Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, but every other element is filled with lengthy, well-executed, and meaningful games that showcase the system's capabilities and could keep us occupied for hundreds of hours.

The Switch 2 is available now worldwide.

Nintendo Switch 2 Game Chat

The Nintendo Switch 2's first week is nearly in the books, and it's been an exciting one to be a gamer, as is any new console launch.

But the Switch 2 has been different. Nintendo just confirmed the new handheld console hybrid sold over 3.5 million units in its first four days alone, meaning it's the fastest-selling Nintendo hardware ever globally. That means it's the biggest console launch of all time, too, outpacing the PS5 and PS4 and just about everything else.

https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/1932620051955270127

The Switch 2 is a suped-up Switch 1, but it also comes with a bunch of new features, one of them being Game Chat. Using a USB-C camera, players can get into chats with friends in both voice and video form, and also share screens to broadcast gameplay in the party.

It feels like a pretty awesome new piece of tech, but I'm just wondering, has anyone actually used it yet? I haven't had the chance, mainly because only one of the people on my friend list (that I know of) has a Switch 2 already.

I was one of the lucky first few people to see Game Chat in action at a special closed-doors event in New York City the week before the Switch 2 launched, and I was pretty blown away by seeing it in action. But now I'm wondering, now that it's out in the wild, who's using the feature.

Let us know in the comments below and answer our poll so we can get a better idea of how Game Chat is faring so far.

A combat scene in Rainbow Six SIege X where players are attacking and defending the objective

Rainbow Six Siege X has received a major overhaul that includes new game modes and a fresh season pass, but players can also enjoy the game without paying a dime.

One of the biggest changes of Year 10 is the introduction of the Free Access Edition. This is one of the three available options, with the two others being the Elite Edition and the Ultimate Edition. As its name suggests, the Free Access Edition is free to play, but there are a few caveats. In fact, you might not actually like the edition and what it has to offer if you don't understand its restrictions first.

Rainbow Six Siege X Free Access Edition explained

So, we know how the Rainbow Six Siege X Free Access Edition doesn't cost any money. Moreover, it's not a weekly or monthly offer; this mode will let you play the game for free for as long as you want. So what's the catch?

For starters, the number of available game modes is limited. You'll get access to Quick Match, Unranked, and the Dual Front Modes. Dual Front is a new six-vs-six mode different from the vintage Six Siege experience. The Free Access mode excludes competitive modes like Ranked and Siege Cup.

Details about the Free Access Edition of Rainbox Six Siege X
Screenshot via Ubisoft

Simply put, you can play all the casual modes the games have to unlock. But that's not all; there are also limitations regarding available operators. The Free Access Edition doesn't offer a single operator at first. You'll have to unlock them by playing the game. The Elite Edition and Ultimate Editions have 16 and 52 operators, respectively.

The Free Access Edition also lacks four Operator Cosmetic Bundles, which are only available on the game's Ultimate Edition.

Is Rainbow Six Siege X free to play?

Officially, the answer is yes, Rainbow Six Siege is free to play. Although you can't participate in the competitive modes, a fair number of free options are available. You can also unlock more operators over time as you play more. The Dual Front mode is extremely entertaining, and it's also included in the Free Access Edition.

Unless you don't want to go through the grind of unlocking the operators or playing the Ranked mode, your best choice is the Free Access Edition, which allows you to enjoy the game free-to-play.

Haylee Skye, a cheerleader with blonde hair and a white, pink, and purple outfit, holding a colorful gun and looking at a tall tower at Demon's Domain in Fortnite

To learn more about what Daigo's up to and how to stop him, you need to work with the superheroes to investigate in Fortnite. One of the most essential tasks you need to get done is assembling surveillance gear at Demon's Domain.

Demon's Domain is a vast POI with lots of land to explore, so tracking down the right spot can be pretty tough. It's also possible you have this quest but can't complete it yet if you haven't tackled certain prerequisites. Here's how to assemble surveillance gear at Demon's Domain in Fortnite.

Assemble surveillance gear at Demon's Domain in Fortnite

To finish the assemble surveillance gear at Demon's Domain quest, you need to place three pieces of surveillance gear down at Demon's Domain. There's a specific spot you need to visit to get this task done, and it's on the outskirts of this area, which can make it a bit tough to find.

The Trials of Morgan Myst quests are also a bit glitchy and don't appear in the right order, so you might be seeing this task before you can actually get it done. If you haven't yet, you need to start with gathering surveillance gear at Supernova Academy. You can only assemble the gear after you've acquired the three pieces you need to do so.

If you still can't get this task done after finding the three required pieces, work on the rest of Morgan Myst's trials that come before this one. You should have three quests from Hope and one quest from Morgan Myst before this one.

Where to assemble surveillance gear at Demon's Domain in Fortnite

You need to travel to the very east end of Demon's Domain to assemble the surveillance gear. Demon's Domain is a main POI ruled over by Daigo and is located near the very southern end of the island.

The right spot is a jagged cliff overlooking the massive tower area in the center of this location. It's marked with white sparkles and a diamond icon with an exclamation point in it, but you won't see these until you're decently close to the right spot.

How do you assemble surveillance gear at Demon's Domain in Fortnite?

You can assemble the surveillance gear by interacting with the sparkling spot at Demon's Domain three times. Each time you interact with the right spot, you add another piece to the equipment until it's fully built. You'll know all three pieces are placed when the quest is finished and you earn XP.

Placing items can sometimes be a bit glitchy, so if it's not working, you may need to wait until the next round and try again. I've found that quests like this one especially tend not to work when you're trying to get them done in the storm, so make sure you venture to the right spot before the storm reaches it.

There's plenty more to tackle around the island after completing this task. You may want to find all NPCs, damage Overlord Spires and Scout Spires, find demon guards, and unlock all Boons.

The superheroes are eager to figure out what Daigo's up to and put a stop to his corruption spreading across the island in Fortnite. To help them learn more, you need to gather surveillance gear at Supernova Academy.

Finding these items is decently tough since they're sitting on the ground at various specific locations around this vast POI. All of them are quite small and difficult to spot, so here's how to gather surveillance gear at Supernova Academy in Fortnite.

Gather surveillance gear at Supernova Academy in Fortnite

To complete the gather surveillance gear at Supernova Academy, you need to obtain three pieces of surveillance gear from around this location. You're looking for three small items marked with white sparkles and a diamond icon with an exclamation point in it. These markers aren't displayed until you're decently close to them, so trying to determine where to start can be a bit tough.

The easiest way to find the underground lair area is to start by visiting the Superman NPC at Supernova Academy. This POI is located near the very north end of the island, so start by traveling to it.

Once you find the right location, look for Superman inside a building near the southeast end of the area. Close to where he hangs out, you'll find some stairs you can use to travel down to the secret bunker below. You can also just break the ground near him to fall down into the right area.

There are three pieces of surveillance gear you need to find for the Trials of Morgan Myst quests, all of which can be found at Supernova Academy. They're all hidden in the secret underground superhero lair near the southeast end of this POI.

  • The surveillance gear stand is located near a conveyor belt underground by the Academy Tech Labs locked doors. It's right in the center of the room on the ground next to a bright orange chair.
  • The surveillance gear screen is tucked away in a corner of the underground secret superhero lair, decently close to the surveillance gear stand. It's a flat black and blue item that's sitting on the ground by a white desk with a computer. It's also underneath a bright yellow sign that says, "Danger, high voltage."
  • The surveillance gear recorder is by some desks and near the sign that's right outside the entrance to the underground lair. It's also by the stairs you can use to access this area, and a C Superhero Rank door.

Once you have all three items, you need to take them to Demon's Domain so you can set the surveillance gear up. This is the next step for Morgan Myst's quests, and it's a whole separate, tricky process to work through.

There's plenty of other work to get done around the island after finishing this quest. Next, consider working on copying the actions of Morgan Myst's shadow proxies, unlocking all Boons, finding demon guards, and damaging Overlord Spires and Scout Spires.
