Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Wednesday, September 17, 2025 5:57 PM ![]() It's that time of the year folks. The weather's getting colder, the days are getting shorter, and Escape From Tarkov is getting Tweeted and Skeeted about again because of a controversial decision. This time, it's because the game is coming to Steam, which in and of itself is a perfectly fine, perhaps even smart thing to do. The thing that's being called into question however, is the answer to a question on the Steam release's FAQ page about whether or not you'll have to buy it again. |

In it, you are Blank, an angel stabbed in the head, brain destroyed, who somehow managed to survive such an ordeal - albeit without any memory of who you were. The Sanrio and ClaN Entertainment Nyantasia Vtuber group act like most traditional performers. This means there are special group collabs, ones to celebrate 3D debuts, and times when they play games together as a group. For example, six members came together to play Fall Guysat the end of August 2025. When the division started in December 2023, Nyamafuji Anzu, Nyamamugi Tart, and Nyamashiro Soda debuted as the first three members. The second generation showed up in May 2024. That consisted of Nyamaharu Eru, Nyamakage Neon, and Nyamakumo Fuwari.
Nyamashuva Lutz and Nyamalbelle Perle will join as the two new Nyantasia Sanrio Vtuber group embers on September 27, 2025.

HoYoVerse shared new details about Evernight, the five-star character alt for March 7th that debuts in Honkai: Star Rail 3.6. In addition to an official HoYoLab article that looks at quips about the character, her background, and gifs of animations like her idle pose, there's a "Keeping Up with Star Rail" trailer dedicated to her moveset.
Editor's Note: The "Keeping Up with Star Rail" trailer and HoYoLab article feature some Honkai: Star Rail Evernight spoilers.
Evernight is established as a Chrysos Heir of Amphoreus, and all of the released media note she is an ally to the Trailblazer and Dan Heng. She fights using an umbrella, which she also notes "looks good in photos." She's an Ice type character on the Path of Remembrance with an Evey jellyfish like memosprite. She can increase allies' attacks, and Evey has some blood knight tendencies for attacks. She can also enter a Darkest Riddle state after using her O Wakeful World, Goodnight attack. That attack sends Evey to attack all enemies, shifts her state, and increases both the amount of damage she takes and deals.
Here's the new trailer for the character:
As a reminder, we aren't just getting a new March 7th alt in Honkai: Star Rail after the September 24, 2025 patch, as a new Dan Heng debuts in 3.6 too. He's called Dan Heng Permansor Terrae and is a Preservation unit. Between October 15, 2025 and 4.0, HoYoVerse will give one copy of him away to all players for free.
Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the March 7th alt Evernight will be available via the Remembrance of None banner that debuts on September 24, 2025.

Since the Borderlands movie's catastrophic failure, fans hoped Borderlands 4 would strike gold again, but it didn't quite do that. Although there's a great game inside Borderlands 4, it's currently locked inside a vault made of performance issues. While that gets fixed, consider playing the series' best title.
Why you should play Tales From The Borderlands
Even a decade after its release, Tales From The Borderlands, Telltale Games' take on the series in modern adventure game form, remains one of the best and funniest story-based games out there.
Let's address the elephant in the room head-on. Tales From The Borderlands is not a shooter like the games in the main series. If you're looking for looter-shooter action specifically, this might not be the game for you. But if you're looking for something with the best brand of that specific Borderlands flavor in existence, then this absolutely is the game for you.
One of my problems with the Borderlands series is the oftentimes too raunchy comedy, which might've felt great upon the original game's release, but hasn't aged all that gracefully. Tales doesn't suffer from that problem, though, as the Telltale people wisely experimented with the funniest parts of the universe and did without most juvenile elements present in the main series.
Tales follows Rhys and Fiona, two uneasy allies played by Troy Baker and Laura Bailey, respectively, as they go searching for a legendary vault. That's regular Borderlands fare, but the simple fact that we now have a two main character dynamic provides comedic gold at every twist and turn. On top of that, these characters are joined by a massive cast of new characters, all of which are absolutely unforgettable.
The most common complaint regarding Telltale Games is how it has players make decisions that have no bearing on the outcome. While Tales isn't entirely free from that issue, it's their game where the players' input will have more influence over the course of the game. Also, the ending provides a spectacular climax following up on one of the greatest twist reveals in gaming, so there's that.
But what if you need a shooter to scratch the Borderlands 4 itch?
The good news for fans of Borderlands is it has inspired a bunch of fantastic games ever since the release of the original title. Players who want to try similar shooters not based in this universe can find a lot of enjoyment in games such as Destiny 2, The Division, and, the best of the bunch as of this writing, Warframe.
Whatever the case may be, don't let the possible disappointment lingering over Borderlands 4 stress you out too much. There are plenty of fantastic alternatives out there, and so long as you're open to embracing a different type of game in the same universe, you'll have a blast with Tales From The Borderlands.

A few days ago, we spoke with Hell is Us creative director Jonathan Jacques-Belletete, discussing the powerful themes and world of the game and the nation it's set in: Hadea. Given how much work went into it, we wanted to know if there'll be more.
And the grand answer? Anything can happen. Jacques-Belletete said Rogue Factor has very much founded its unique and recognizable style, the one we see in Hell is Us, which he believes will be central to every game the studio produces in the future. Whether that'll be a new Hell is Us title or other story set in the vast nation of Hadea, he could not specify, though he did say he has enough material for dozens of shows, games, and books.
"The team and I still have a lot to say and show about the world of Hadea and would love to continue creating within it," the director told us in an interview, saying he had spent years and thousands of hours carefully crafting every bit of Hadea from scratch. Taking influence from across the globe, Hadea is one of the most detailed fictional nations and settings I've ever seen in a video game, and certainly on par with the greatest virtual worlds and universes out there.

This is despite the fact that this history and world are very much in the background, related but not directly involved in the protagonist's personal story.
"Tomorrow, I could send a synopsis to writers to start novels and stuff like that about the past. Or, as you played, if you paid attention to the details, the Limbic Invasion in the game is the sixth one; there were five before. "
"Pick any one of the five, and we could have a whole game, or a whole movie, or a whole novel with just that one. We have the people who took part in, let's say, the Second Limbic Invasion; we have their names, and who was the king at that point, who did what, how did the invasion happen, how was it quelled, etc," Jacques-Belletete explained.
"But there's still so much to say, so much to show, and I think we could ride that wave for quite some time."
For obvious reasons, the creative director did not want to disclose precisely what the studio will be working on next, but I am now officially hyped for a new game in Hadea, or at least in a world created by Jacques-Belletete and his team, who have clearly shown their storytelling merit and capability to produce awe-inspiring, detailed, and exceptionally thematically dense worlds and stories.

A cryptic message from the Prophet brings the No, I'm not a Human cat to life. But where can you find this feline friend? Its arrival may leave you torn; letting it in means you're letting a Visitor infiltrate your sanctuary. But leaving it with that thing only means death for the poor kitty that just wants a home.
This new feline companion is worth the Visitor risk when it comes with a mechanic that wasn't around in either the Anthology version or Steam Next Fest demo. So, here's everything you need to know about the cat in No, I'm not a Human.
Where to find the cat in No, I'm not a Human
![]()
Much like Schrödinger's cat, your new pet sits on the line between life and death if you turn the cat lady away at the door. Always appearing on night four, you must let the cat lady in if you want to save the cat's nine lives—and use some of them to your advantage. Your guests will stay safe so long as you don't have another Visitor present when the cat lady enters. Turning this blatant Visitor away means condemning the cat, whose body will be disposed of underneath your house. Lovely.
Turns out the cat and the Visitor it comes with were destined to meet you. Both she and the Prophet knew this day would come and that you'd need the cat, indicated by the dialogue and claw marks scratched into the cat lady's arms. While they don't know each other, it's clear some other force had a play in getting this cat to you. But why?
How does the No, I'm not a Human cat mechanic work?
![]()
The cat has one of the most helpful mechanics in No, I'm not a Human. It can protect your guests from Visitors. But, you need to feed it if you want a restful night. For a day free of consequences, you must learn the ForRest number either by watching the television (clicking on it after the news) or listen to the radio broadcasts. You can often get this number on the second day (so long as you clicked on the television on both the 1st and 2nd).
Use the telephone by the front door during the day and call ForRest. The number is randomized per playthrough. It is only upon inviting the cat lady in that you can purchase two cat food the following morning. You can then feed the cat by interacting with it during the day, granting you a night of peace, where no amount of Visitors can disturb you and your guests' beauty sleep. The cat food works only for that very night, following you feeding it. You can only purchase from ForRest every other day. Therefore, if you fed the cat on day six and seven, your tenants would be in danger on the eighth.
![]()
This mechanic is particularly useful if you have no choice but to let Visitors in, keeping the tenant number from hitting zero, thus saving yourself from an early grave at the hands of the Super Imposter in the Yes, I'm Alone ending. It's also helpful combined with the FEMA Notice when tasked to keep the cultists alive from night eight. So, stock up on cat food (from ForRest or taken as a bribe) to keep your tenants safe, if only for a couple nights.
