One of the most interesting-looking games announced in 2021 was Pragmata. The debut trailer was so baffling that some mistook it for a Hideo Kojima production. That is not a bad thing! Pragmata was supposed to be out in 2022, but today, Capcom announced that the game has been pushed back to 2023.

Nvidia's record Q3 revenue blemished by continued uncertainity of Arm acqusition

Given the ongoing chip shortage continues to inflate the price of the best graphics cards to eye watering levels, it's no surprise that GPU manufacturers like Nvidia are reporting healthy levels of profit. However, the company's $40 billion acquisition of British chip manufacturer Arm Ltd. remains up in the air, and the latest comments shared by its chief financial officer suggest the deal isn't proceeding as swimmingly as Nvidia would like.

In her CFO commentary, Colette Kress provided an analysis of Nvidia's current and prospective financial position, but also made a statement on the company's acquisition of Arm Ltd. Kress highlights that Nvidia is at the behest of several governing bodies, with the company "seeking regulatory approval in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, China, and other jurisdictions."

It appears that in addition to the concerns previously voiced by the UK government over the deal, US Federal Trade Commision are now expressing their own concerns. Kress says that Nvidia is "engaged in discussions with the FTC regarding remedies to address those concerns."

Huge Age of Empires 2: DE update adds co-op campaigns, gameplay systems, more

Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition debuted two whole years ago this week and, to mark the occasion, Forgotten Empires has launched a huge anniversary update jammed with a load of new content and changes. The RTS game's two-year anniversary bash is now live, and it brings new co-op campaigns, Quick Play vs AI matchmaking, a new player handicap system for custom lobbies, and a ton more besides.

The two new co-op campaigns are called Tariq ibn Ziyad and Tamerlane. The first features five missions, while the latter features six. There aren't any details on what these are exactly in the patch notes, with only the various mission names listed, but now they're live you can always go get stuck in if you're keen to find out, stat. It's worth noting these are still tagged as 'beta' for now as the devs are continuing to monitor player feedback and make changes to co-op campaigns.

The new Quick Play vs AI feature is a neat addition that does exactly what its name says - it lets you dive into the mode, which is designed to let you set up certain types of games and matchmake more easily and quickly, and battle it out against an AI-controlled foe rather than using the existing human multiplayer option. From the devs' preview in the patch notes, it looks like you'll get a choice of pitting two, three, or four against the AI, and you can set options for its difficulty - with the example given being 'extreme'.

Designing the unique world of F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch

F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch is a new action-adventure game that has already started making waves for its unique and beautiful visual style. Tapping into our natural fascination with sprawling dystopian landscapes, the team behind the game have incorporated an idiosyncratic dieselpunk style into the immersive location of Torch City.

Undoubtedly inspired by a wide range of unusual influences, the result is a city that feels lived-in and organic, full of character and life. But how did the developers make their game world stand so far out of the ordinary? We had a chat with them to find out.

When first discussing what kind of game F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch would be, the developers found that they all shared a common interest in the Metroidvania genre. They decided to stick with what they knew, a decision which allowed them to be more creative and focus on the finer details of the game, making decisions that allowed Torch City to become somewhere uniquely identifiable.

New World update adds Void Gauntlet and new enemies

New World is getting a new weapon, enemy type, and oh so many tweaks in a patch later today. One of the MMORPG's moderators confirms on Reddit that downtime for New World's 1.1 update starts at 5am PT / 8am ET / 1pm GMT today (November 18) and is expected to last four hours.

Amazon Games started testing features for the update last week on the brand-new PTR. One of the main standouts is a new weapon called the Void Gauntlet, which allows you to support your allies or attack foes - think of it as a DPS-support hybrid. "It's the first weapon to scale on both intelligence and focus, making it a great pairing with the Life Staff and other magic weapons," Amazon says. "The Annihilation tree focuses on maximising damage at close range and revolves around Void Blade, a summoned blade of corrosive void energy. The Decay tree offers ranged healing and debuffs and revolves around Orb of Decay, a dual-phase projectile that can debuff enemies and heal allies." If you're keen to find out more, check out our New World Void Gauntlet guide for details on the skill tree and best build.

You'll also find a new batch of foes raiding southeastern Aeternum. A Gaul leads the Varangians with a reputation for "brutality and a twisted sense of humour". They're here to seek magical artefacts and arcane lore - no, not the League of Legends Netflix show - left behind by the Crimson Sorcerer to aid Lord Commander Attalus in his conquests.

Yesterday, I reported that 343 Industries were looking into Halo Infinite's battle pass progression, which players have found overwhelmingly slow so far. Our very own Ed Thorn played for four hours, only to reach battle pass level 3 the other night. Thankfully, the developers have already detailed a handful of changes coming this week that should improve things - from adding new, easier challenges, to removing some of the rubbish weeklies players don't like.

Despite my interest in pirates, piracy is probably the least interesting thing about Sea Of Thieves. It's not just its excellent ocean that I want to enjoy without pointless random murder. It's the sailing. The thrill of moving around and operating this vehicle, hearing it creak as you turn a wheel, and whoosh as you catch the wind.

Sailwind is all about that. You sail a boat. Nobody will attack you. There are no monsters to fight, or guilds to appease. It's just you, the sea, and the skills that will take your boat across it well enough that you don't starve on the way.

Sam Max Beyond Time Space remaster duoThe Sam & Max games remain some of the most beloved point-and-click adventure titles out there. The Sam & Max: Save the World remaster, released last year, served to remind fans of that love. It succeeded in adding modern conveniences and extra layers of polish, while preserving what made the original release so appealing. Fans of the remaster will likely be elated to hear that developer Skunkape Games plans to release another remaster, this time of Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space, on Dec. 8 2021. According to the Steam page, this new remaster enhances all of the original game's five episodes "with gorgeous HD graphics, overhauled lighting and lip-sync, finessed cinematography," and "remastered audio." Additionally, the remaster incorporates "eight all-new musical tracks featuring live jazz musicians. Otherwise, it appears that nearly the entirety of the original experience remains intact, so players can still "tease out brain-t...
