Although our RTX 5070 review showed it to be a card that doesn't offer the most compelling price/performance ratio compared to the performance we saw from AMD in our RX 9070 XT review, it's still the best graphics card option from Nvidia in this price range, even if the company's claims the RTX 5070 offers RTX 4090 performance aren't really true. Meanwhile, with the RTX 5070 release date no upon us, we've seen widespread reports of just how limited stock of the new mid-range Nvidia card is going to be. As such, you'll have to be lightning fast to grab one, if you don't want to pay inflated prices from scalpers buying the cards from trusted retailers, only to then resell them on the likes of eBay. The official RTX 5070 price is $549 / $549 CAD / £549 / AU$1,109 for the Founders Edition card, so that's the price you should be hoping to pay for Nvidia's own stylish model. Guided by the deteriorated state of my weapons, and by James' Gamescom write-up, I'd been trying to play Rebellion's alt-Sixties open world FPS like S.T.A.L.K.E.R., hoarding my ammo and avoiding unnecessary bloodshed as I crept around an English woodland full of druids ranting about atomic fungus. I'd made it to the heart of the druid encampment - a National Trust castle of the kind that would typically be 30% wedding venue, 50% giftshop - only to reach a dead end in a banqueting hall. I had a key for a lock I couldn't find. Perhaps it lay in a tent outside the castle, or in one of the surrounding caves? |

Still, I have a certain respect for the series. There aren't many third-person sneakers like this any more, still fewer that have successfully gotten away with a protagonist who sounds like a chaddy Sam Fisher and looks like he should be cleaning toilets in Moria. Square Enix has revealed a new batch of acrylic stands featuring chibi illustrations of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth characters. The company has also opened pre-orders for these stands on its Japanese e-Store, and it will release the items in Japan on April 26, 2025.
The new items will be collectively known as Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Mini Acrylic Stand Collection Vol. 2. The lineup will consist of eight stands featuring Vincent, Yuffie, Cid, Cait Sith with his Fat Moogle separately, Posh Chocobo, Sephiroth, and Cloud in his crossdressing attire. Square Enix will sell these stands in a box containing eight blind packages at 5,280 yen. However, the packages will contain completely random entries, so purchasing the 8-in-1 box will not guarantee the buyer to get all eight unique stands at once.
Since this batch is the second one, there was a first batch that came out in Japan in December 2024. This batch featured Cloud in his regular outfit along with Tifa, Aerith, Barret, Zack, a regular Moogle, a chibi Chocobo, and Red XIII riding a Chocobo.
As of early March 2025, Square Enix has run out of stock for the first batch on its Japanese e-Store. However, the company had also released the same merchandise on its North American and European web stores two months later in February 2025, and they are still available to order at $48.00 / €42.99.
The second batch of the mini acrylic stands featuring Final Fantasy VII Rebirth chibi characters will be available in Japan on April 26, 2025. While the first batch is out of stock in the country, the latter is still available to order on Square Enix's North American and European web stores.

It will soon be five years since Vtuber Mori Calliope debuted with Cover's hololive English Myth as one of the founding members of the company's overseas branch. Since then, she's passed over 2.5 million subscribers on YouTube, released two full albums, and participated in both solo concerts and ones with fellow Vtubers at the company. Most recently, she worked alongside Persona composer Shoji Meguro and Persona 3 singer Lotus Juice on "Seeing Stars." Siliconera got to ask her a few questions after her solo concert "Grimoire" and ahead of hololive Super Expo 2025 and hololive 6th fes to talk about composing music, singing, and streaming.
Jenni Lada: Thanks for taking the time to speak with us. First of all, how are you feeling about Monster Hunter Wilds, given you played both World and Rise on stream?
Calliope Mori: Thanks for asking! I actually won't be streaming it this time around, mostly due to the fact I'm too busy, my friends have it covered, and I just prefer other games! Every time I play MH, I have a good time, but it's not something I really feel like continuing. I'm a fan of darker games personally (I wish I could stop being so edgy for just 2 seconds but hey can't be helped).
What game are you most looking forward to playing on stream in 2025 so far?
Mori Calliope: So far it's Night Reign from FromSoft! I know it's not a traditional Souls game, but I adore the world of Elden Ring so much and trust From's vision, since everything they touch is gold. If only we could get some Armored Core 6 DLC…on the more indie side, I'm praying we get Everhood 2 sometime this year, but next year might be more likely.
You had a new song drop just after your 2nd Solo Concert "Grimoire." What does the timeline look like for preparing and releasing a new track like that?
Mori Calliope: Considering the producer we asked is someone I've admired for over 15 years, the song itself had to be perfect. So I really wanted to take my time on it. I asked Lotus Juice to join in and of course the guy is just cool as hell, and he made time to be a part of it. There was a lot of back and forth and revisions with Meguro-san because I was building a very specific atmosphere based on his original idea. There was a lot of talk about details, like "maybe the melody should sound like this" or "I want to add an intro." The intro to the song is actually something I came up with myself and just added in without direction…it felt very collaborative! Me and Lotus threw back demos for a while, writing lyrics as we went.
Meguro-san would update the track while we worked on lyrics, and eventually the recording day came. I was pretty hard on myself, and did a lot of re-takes which I think surprised Meguro-san. These days I'm a lot stricter with my singing, and if I don't push the limit of what I can do, I feel defeated. That said, I still have only made a few songs I'm 100% proud of and fulfilled by. All I can say is I did my best to sing to the best of my limits, and am looking forward to being even better next time. But for now, the atmosphere is there and I'm happy I got to make a song with people I look up to so much and have idolized for years. They're such professionals and were a joy to work with.
What kinds of challenges did you face preparing this new song while also preparing for Grimoire and the launch of the Hololive pop-up store?
Mori Calliope: I'm really hard on myself these days. I thought it'd be a good idea to take feedback to heart to improve as an artist and performer, but it's made the creation process much more intense than I'm used to. I used to be pretty laid back in the studio, but these days I leave pretty mentally exhausted, just listening to the demos we made over and over again, unsatisfied with what I did. I'm trying to accept my limits as a musician these days, and that I can never be perfect, but it's hard. Combine that with the many days of rehearsal preparation we had, plus other promotions and then my streaming schedule. It's been tough. You need to either be a very laid back person, or have really good mental fortitude for this job.
Speaking of Grimoire, it's a major concert for you. How much control did you have over things like songs you'll be performing and other elements of the performance?
Mori Calliope: I chose the setlist and name, as well as theme. There were a lot of smaller decisions I made here and there, but the team put everything together wonderfully. My setlist was based on the assumption I'd have guests, though. "SNEAKING Revenge" was something I only wanted to do together with Lotus Juice, but the team said I had to choose between a live band and guests since we didn't have enough resources with this being the first solo show in America. And, I couldn't change the setlist by that time. So I made the best out of it, and the live band elevated that song so well that it ended up being a super fun time.
In August 2024, PHANTOMIME made it into the Billboard top 10 albums outside of Japan. What was that like for you, and how did you notice your career and presence change after that?
Mori Calliope: I'd been aiming for that spot for a long time. There is a lot of pressure when a label takes you on and offers you their support and access to big dreams, you don't want to let them down. We'd been praying for growth and finally got it. I breathed such a big sigh of relief. It made me think "I can do what I love for a while longer. I can keep looking out UM's office window at the Tokyo skyline and feel lucky I get to do what I do." Dramatic, isn't it? Lol. I really love making music. So I thought then, "could I go further if I tried…?"
My presence hasn't changed though, haha. With Universal, I'm an up and coming virtual musician who mixes Western and Eastern culture, but with Hololive I'm just an old EN grandma at this point, just really here to help the new people. Streaming numbers are usually on the low side for me, regardless of whether my music has been successful. But my music does comparatively well and that's always my main focus. Plus, not every song can be a hit and that's just the reality of being a musician. It's hard for me to perceive the hard data my label has, but since offers and tie-ups are always coming in, I assume I did a good job? That's what the label tells me! So I try not to worry over it so much and leave those logistics to them.
Now that you've been on the cover of Rolling Stone Japan, gotten into the top spots of the Billboard charts, and had "Go-Getters" be featured as a theme song for Suicide Squad Isekai. What kinds of new goals did you set for yourself after hitting these new sales and popularity milestones?
Mori Calliope: I really just want to make better music. There's a bunch of dreams left, like touring America, more anime songs, doing a joint tour with a friend or an admired artist, collaborating with Gorillaz, performing at Madison Square Garden…those wait at the end of a very long road. Music is competitive as hell and luck is a big factor, but skill increases those chances significantly. If I don't improve, I'll never be able to see those dreams come true regardless, so I'm meeting with a lot of different artists I respect and learning so many lessons from them. I'm also learning bass and composing my own works here and there, so there is much left to do…in terms of popularity, it's something I avoid thinking too much about but I'd love to see if we can fly up the artist charts again for the next release and beat the #72 we got after PHANTOMIME's release… gotta grow first to get there, though!!
As someone who's been listening to your songs since you debuted with hololive, a lot of your music sounds like it has major crossover appeal. How would you feel about your songs being on FM or SiriusXM and is that something we could see happen in the future?
Mori Calliope: Thanks! I don't know if I'd want anything I made before 2024 ("Wanted, Wasted," excluded) to play on mainstream radio, but my newer works are slowly becoming a bit more mainstream friendly bit by bit. It's not something I do consciously, I don't really care if the mainstream wants to listen to my works. I make what I want and what fulfills me. But as I started paying more attention to whether "this song would sound good to ears that aren't my own," there was a shift. I also began to enjoy different types of music outside of my usual alternative J-rap bubble, and it gave me a different perspective on composing and what to pay attention to when writing for myself but also expanding into a new audience. So maybe someday! Maybe give it a few years, or choose like the 3 songs I've released so far that are mostly English and have less rap in them (J-rap is just too different in contents and flow than English rap, I don't think overseas mainstream will ever warm up to it). I think j-rap done by native Japanese people could find a fairly large and accepting fan base amongst fans of anime, but it's certainly not a foreigner who is going to popularize it. I still just do it because I like it, though I've been phasing it out as my interest in other genres has grown.
I think also that mainstream isn't ready to accept Japanese lyrics yet. Spanish has only just barely made it into being acceptable for "mainstream American ears" so there is definitely hope. Japanese lyrics will probably still be dismissed as "weird anime stuff" for a while longer though, so I'll just work on my own sound and composition skills in the meantime and see where we end up.
We've seen situations where Hatsune Miku performed on The Late Show with David Letterman. How would you feel about getting to perform on late night TV or being the musical guest on a show like Saturday Night Live?
Mori Calliope: I'd love to! I need to work a little harder to develop my sound though. Maybe in a year or so. I think there is potential but there's some stuff I need to figure out first. For the record, I'm not silly enough to say no to that kind of offer. Just my own musings, I guess!
Once the Switch 2 launches, will we get to see you streaming its games?
Mori Calliope: If the games are good, I'm there. It really depends on the games! Nintendo's titles tend to air on the brighter side that my horrible edge-lord self never finds much interest in (lol) but I'll try anything once if it's good. It's nice to have a little color in your life here and there!

Persona cards have returned in WWE 2K25, and there are a fair few to unlock.
In simpler words, these are alternate designs of your favorite superstars, with most of them returning to the older times. Not only do Personas have different animations, but they look and feel different, and you can unlock many of them by playing the game.
This guide will help you know more about unlocking the Personas in WWE 2K25.

You'll have to rely on the MyFaction mode to unlock Personas, but they can be used across all available game modes. While the conditions this year appear much simpler than WWE 2K24, the process can be pretty grindy.
Additionally, the Personas for Uncle Howdy, Dexter Lumis, Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, and Erick Rowan are all unlockable from the Wyatt Sicks Pre-Order Pack.
Persona cards can be a hit and miss, since you'll have to grind the MyFaction mode (might not be something you like). Thankfully, you will be able to use them in every mode across WWE 2K25, which is a shining light in the end.

When it comes to structuring the different editions, 2K has gone with the tried and tested formula. The three editions offer different content at separate price points, and the correct choice will depend on your preferences.

The Advanced Access for WWE 2K25 has run into a snag for PC users, as many members have been unable to download and install the latest wrestling game.
If things worked out as per plans, the game should be available as of this writing if you have purchased either the Deadman or Bloodline Edition. The latter promises up to seven days of extra access starting March 7. However, many members have reported being unable to download the game.
Here are a set of possible fixes to solve the situation.
WWE 2K25 Advanced Access not downloading on Steam fixes
Nobody knows the exact issue, but I have encountered it when trying to download the older FIFA games. If you check the following image, you'll see that it's being shown that WWE 2K25 isn't available yet. That's applicable only for the Standard Edition, as the Advanced Access period for Bloodline and Deadman Editions is now live.
Here are a few steps you can take to solve the problem. Ultimately, it's more of a matter of trial and error for now, as a permanent solution has to come from 2K and Steam.
Ultimately, a permanent fix is expected very soon from 2K and Steam, as such a situation has happened before. If you're stuck in a loop for the time being, make sure to check out the complete list of wrestlers available in the game, along with their overall ratings.

There's just something about listening to your favorite music in a public setting and forcing it upon the ears of others. Roblox has turned this real-world nuisance into a series of games on its platform.
Using a database of uploaded songs, players can input Song IDs to blast their song of choice directly into the ears of strangers all over the world. Here are some of the best.

Prior to a change in March 2022, users could upload virtually any audio file and have it be playable in any game that supported the boombox via a Song ID. The change retroactively made any audio longer than six seconds private. This meant that if you weren't the person who had originally uploaded the audio file, you would no longer be able to play or hear the sound.
This means the vast majority of Song ID repositories are now functionally useless, and users have been restricted to a much smaller selection of songs and sound clips of varying quality. One important thing to know is that there's no guarantee that any individual Song ID may work, as they can be made private by either Roblox staff or the user who uploaded it.

How to use music codes in Roblox
Playing music in Roblox varies in each game, as they all have different methods. Sometimes, it can cost money with Robux, while other times, it doesn't cost a thing. To play music for free, play Catalog Heaven, a game that allows you to customize your avatar and battle nearby bases. Once you start playing, select 'Catalog' and type in Boombox. As Leafeon ex's biggest strength lies in using its Forest Breath ability to give 1x Grass energy per turn to any of your on-field Pokémon (while in the active spot), our deck will revolve around using it to bring the most out of Celebi ex. The latter is a must here, as its ability to deal 50 DMG per energy attached (if you are lucky) makes it the best partner for our ex eeveelution.
To keep your Pokémon alive, we add Irida and Erika to the mix for their massive healing effects. If you are worried about the latter's Water energy-related passive, don't, as Forest Breath and Celebi's colorless requirement will allow you to go for mono Water with no drawback. Without further ado, here's the best Leafeon ex deck in Pokémon TCG Pocket:
As you can see above, we will also use Sabrina as an extra line of security and both Pokémon Communication and Poké Ball to boost our chances of getting Eevee, Leafeaon ex, and Celebi ex into play as soon as possible. Ideally, you want to have the latter two on the board within your second turn.
Do you need Celebi ex to pay Leafeon ex?
No, as although Celebi ex can get the most from Forest Breath, it is not the only card capable of synergizing with it to great effect. A great example of that is Yanmega ex, who can deal 120 DMG consistently if set in the active spot with two energy counts.
Going with the card will also allow you to keep the foundation of our BIS deck mostly intact, as you will only have to add two copies of it in Celebi ex's place and switch two supporter cards for the Tanma needed for the evolutions. There's no rule of thumb regarding which cards you should take out, but going for a set of Irida and Sabrina copies seems to be the best bet.
How to play Leafeon ex
When using Leafeon ex in Pokémon TCG Pocket, the key will be to get it on the active spot asap so you can trigger its Ability and assemble your offense before your opponent can set their foundations. Once done, make smart use of your supporting cards to sustain both Leafeon and your main attackers.
Keep in mind that the card's weakness to fire will make Leafeon easy prey for fire decks. If you allow them to get going, most meta decks — such as those revolving around Dialga and Charizard ex — will also be able to one-shot your Pokémon.

Marvel Rivals Season 1 is in full swing with new content being dropped regularly, the Clone Rumble game mode being the latest one to be added. If you're wondering when will the first season end, here's everything you need to know.
Marvel Rivals Season 1 end date
Marvel Rivals Season 1 will end on April 11, 2025. It started on January 10 and will last for exactly three months, as previously confirmed by the Creative Director, Guanguang.
The duration of Season 1's first half was from January 10 to February 21, 2025. It introduced new heroes to the roster, namely Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman, the Doom Match game mode, the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown and Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown maps, a new rank, and more.
The second half will run until April 11. At the time of writing, you have 35 days to complete the Battle Pass. In case you've purchased the Luxury upgrade, you don't need to worry, as it will never expire.
The second half of Season 1 brings new content to the table, too. Galacta's Cosmic Adventure event, for example, where you can complete multiple challenges to earn rewards. It also includes a free Black Widow skin, so keep an eye out for it. The event starts on March 7 and will end on the same day as Season 1.
Another event is the Clone Rumble game mode. It's a limited-time event that's divided into three phases, and the best thing about it is that everyone can choose the same hero and fight their hearts out in the arena.

There's absolutely no shortage of things to do and unlockables to chase after in Risk of Rain 2, but if you're after the truly game-changing stuff, you need Artifacts. Artifact Codes are unique puzzle-type items strewn across the levels, but you don't really need to hunt for them.
You see, Risk of Rain 2's Artifact Codes are fixed and universal, which is to say you can take someone else's discoveries and go ham with them without doing the legwork yourself. If that's what you're looking for, I don't blame you at all, because chasing down all 18 (19, technically) Artifact Codes is no mean feat.
You've come to the right place, instead, because I've assembled the full list of all Artifact Codes down below, as well as an in-depth explanation of how to input them to unlock each Artifact permanently. Let's get to it!
How to unlock Artifacts in Risk of Rain 2?
Risk of Rain 2's Artifacts are arcane pieces of tech or magic, whichever you think is more likely, and they behave accordingly. Even as far as gameplay goes, there's a process to this entire schtick, and if you don't have any of these Artifacts unlocked yet, it will be a bit of a pain.
More specifically, the only way to unlock an Artifact in Risk of Rain 2 is to play the game until you reach the fifth stage, Sky Meadow. Once there, you need to look for one of multiple round openings in the floor to drop down to the Compound Generator sub-area. That's where you'll spend most of your time unlocking Artifacts.
Good news, then: monsters do not spawn when you drop down to the Compound Generator. Bad news, you can only input one Artifact Code per run. In other words, you can only unlock one of Risk of Rain 2's 18 total Artifact Codes at a time. We've established that hunting down every code would take ages, but since you're here you can just use our list of Artifact Codes instead.
The process of actually unlocking Artifacts is also rather simple. In front of the massive Compound Generator, you'll see an array of nine bespoke symbol holograms. Each Artifact Code corresponds to a specific hologram array setup, and you need to properly input the Code before you can access the Artifact's unique challenge room.
It's hard to input codes the wrong way, too: the hologram area is fenced off on three of its four sides, and your starting position is from the open side inwards. Just start from the direction of the code input station that is some ways back, and then work your way through the code, one hologram at a time. If you get it wrong, don't worry about it, because you can keep trying.

This unique Artifact is exclusive to the Seekers of the Storm DLC. Instead of being Code-locked, you'll need to beat the False Son once and deposit an Item into the pool after the fight. From that point onwards, if you have the Artifact of Rebirth equipped, you'll get that specific Item at the start of your run for as long as you keep looping back. If no Item's been deposited, the Artifact of Rebirth grants you a random Common Item instead, so it's a handy addition to your roster no matter what.

How to get Venom's Lingering Imprint costume in Marvel Rivals
Venom's wardrobe is home to some of the best cosmetics Marvel Rivals has to offer, and Lingering Imprint is another fine addition to the symbiote sentinel's collection. This sick costume converts the Venom symbiote into a set of imposing combat fatigues that would make any sane enemy combatant turn tail and join the nearest anti-war protest.
Interestingly, the Lingering Imprint costume isn't a Marvel Rivals original; it's from the comics. Specifically, it's from Venom #8, an issue that forces Eddie Brock to face his grief over the passing of Flash Thompson, Spider-Man's childhood bully-turned-college friend and another wearer of the Venom symbiote.
When the Maker (an evil version of Mister Fantastic from an alternate universe) tried to desecrate Flash's corpse, Eddie molded his Symbiote into the armor that inspired Lingering Imprint and pummeled the villainous scientist into a pile of putty. Don't worry; Flash didn't stay dead. He's a comic book character, after all.

You can buy the Lingering Imprint costume from Marvel Rivals' in-game store for 1600 Units. However, it (and the Twilight duo costume) might not be that cheap for long. The new co-op experience from Hazelight Studios, Split Fiction, has finally hit the shelves. Like its older siblings, such as It Takes Two and A Way Out, it doesn't have microtransactions.
A certain fan commented on Fall Damage's YouTube video, praising the studio's promise of not including microtransactions by saying, "No lootboxes, no microtransactions, no BS. Words to live by!"
Josef Fares, the director of Split Fiction and founder of Hazelight Studios, reacted to the comment and said, "Of course, and that goes for everything we do at Hazelight."
He justified how loot boxes and microtransactions "affect the design of how the game should be done."
He said, "every time you take a design decision on making more money" is a "huge problem." He continued, "It's stopping our industry from a creative perspective."
Fans worldwide have been loving Split Fiction, thanks to its immersive gameplay. Our review at Destructoid considers it an absolute masterpiece as well.
When a project from a beloved studio gets the treatment that most people deserve, such as delivering a quality product that the majority of the fanbase will praise, the love and respect deepens. And Josef believes in that approach and strategy.

Aside from praying you're going to get a better piece of gear from a quest, your character will also gain power from Runes. As the name of the game suggests, they're pretty important and take your armor and weapons from good to great. But before you become empowered, there's a process you need to follow. That's why I made this guide—to easily elaborate on how to get runes in Rune Slayer, as well as how to socket runes in Rune Slayer.

How to Find Runes in Rune Slayer
If you're wondering "What's the best way to get runes in Rune Slayer?," there is none. You'll inevitably find runes after defeating enemies. They can drop from anyone, with bosses offering a chance at stronger, rarer runes.
Overall, there are four types of Runes in Rune Slayer:
At the same time, there are Named Runes (Slime Rune, Thief Rune, etc.), that can only drop from the mobs whose name they carry. Sometimes, they'll offer bonuses if you have multiple pieces of corresponding gear (e.g., Slime Crown, Slime Boots).

How Do I Know if I Can Socket Runes in My Gear
You can find out whether you can socket Runes in Rune Slayer in two ways:
Go to your inventory hover over the weapon/armor/accessory with your mouse and see whether it has empty squares on it. If there is one or more, that means you can socket the corresponding number of Runes in it.
The second method involves asking the Blacksmith to socket a Rune, which will show you eligible weapons and armor. And that brings us to...
How to Socket Runes in Rune Slayer
To socket Runes in Rune Slayer, you need a Blacksmith with an Anvil. While you can find one everywhere from Wayshire to Balgoron Chasm, I'd advise you to stick to Wayshire and get the power ASAP.
Talk to Winfried the Blacksmith.
Ask him "Are you a Rune Smith?"
Choose an item you want to socket your rune in, choose the rune you want to socket, and voila—your item is ready.
That's all there is to it when it comes to learning how to socket runes in Rune Slayer. But what if you change your mind or find a better one? Should you just throw your gear into Storage? Not necessarily.
How to Unsocket Runes in Rune Slayer
If you're wondering whether unsocketing Runes in Rune Slayer is equivalent to rocket science, don't worry because it isn't. All you need is to farm Rune Golems, which drop both Angelic Runes and Satanic Runes, two Runes whose only effect is to cancel an existing socket.
They're both legendary items and have a low drop chance, so I'd suggest devoting a day or two to farming Rune Golems and being safe afterwards. You wouldn't want to waste time when you have momentum.

FUT Birthday is all set to be the next promo in EA FC 25 Ultimate Team, and it will feature unique cards of both active footballers and former legends.
This is one of the most popular campaigns of all time, as it celebrates the launch of Ultimate Team. To celebrate the occasion, many special cards will be released in packs. So far, EA Sports has only confirmed the starting date and remained quiet about the upcoming cards, but a few leaks have started doing the rounds.

EA Sports has confirmed the official release date for the promo, and it will be available on Friday, March 7. This is the exact date when the Fantasy FC promo ends, and the new cards will be added directly to the packs.
Additionally, some of the special items are also going to be added as part of special challenges. This will include SBCs and objectives, which the players can complete to obtain the cards. Players won't have to rely on their luck to get the cards in such cases. While hunts in Monster Hunter Wilds can be enjoyed alone, you can also use your Hunting Assistants to make life easier.
Like your co-op allies, Hunting Assistants will assist you with bringing down a monster you're hunting, but the way they work is slightly different. For starters, you'll have to unlock them inside the game to enjoy the benefits.
How to unlock Hunting Assistants in Monster Hunter Wilds
Hunting Assistants are locked when you start your adventure, and you'll need to clear the first three chapters. Once done, speak with Gemma in Windward Plains or Werner in the Ruins of Wyveria. They will provide you with Smithy's Seal of Quality and Werner's Test Run.
These quests have side objectives that differ from the main quest line. While Gemma tasks you with testing a new invention and hunting the Lala Barina, Werner will ask you to hunt down a Guardian Doshaguma. These missions are essentially tutorials of how Hunting Assistants work inside the game, so make sure to complete them after clearing the necessary main story chapters.
How to use Hunting Assistants
Hunting Assistants differ from typical NPC AIs who assist you after firing an SOS Flare. There are only two options currently available: Gemma and Werner. Whenever you begin one of their quests, you'll have to lure a monster to where Gemma/Werner is located.
Once you lure the monster in, your Hunting Assistant will set out a trap. Once a monster enters a radius of the trap, it will help you on your hunt. Once you have completed the side quests, Hunting Assistants will appear randomly at different map areas. Open the Environmental Overview tab to find if any assistant is available. Note down their location if they're present, as luring your hunt towards them will be highly beneficial.
