PCGamesN Saturday, December 18, 2021 7:12 AM  Following the success of its Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes, and news that a Resident Evil 4 remake is also on the way, I think it's about time Capcom resurrected another videogame series from its survival horror library: Dino Crisis. If it were possible to buy, download, and play it today then you could make an argument for it being one of the best horror games on PC, and it's a terrible shame that Capcom has seemingly left the series to go extinct. Admittedly, it wasn't so long ago when the meatheaded lows of games like Resident Evil 6 and Dead Space 3 all but killed the genre. But PT and Alien: Isolation provided a spark of inspiration back in 2014, which was fanned by the likes of Resident Evil 7, The Evil Within 2, and Prey. Now survival horror games are as popular as they've ever been. Just imagine how big they'd be now if Silent Hills had actually been released. It's not a question of whether or not Capcom can remake Dino Crisis - the recent Resident Evil remakes provide both the perfect template and technical foundation for such a project - so let's make the case for why it should. PCGamesN Saturday, December 18, 2021 6:56 AM  None other than Winston Zeddemore himself, Ernie Hudson, has confirmed that a new Ghostbusters game is "definitely happening" and will be based around the classic team - last seen in 2019's Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered and in last month's Ghostbusters: Afterlife movie. Back in October, it was seemingly confirmed that developer Illfonic - who made Predator: Hunting Grounds and Friday the 13th: The Game - is currently working on a Ghostbusters game, which will presumably be a co-op multiplayer game based on the studio's other titles. This was according to Illfonic's co-founder Raphael Saadiq, who let it slip during a podcast interview. Ernie Hudson made an appearance this week at the Celebrity Fan Fest in San Antonio, Texas, and in a Q&A session recorded by Countdown City Geeks (via Ghostbusters News) he confirmed "we're doing another video game". Hudson says that he and Dan Ackroyd are recording for it soon, although he doesn't know if Bill Murray will be involved this time - or when it'll actually release. "When they'll bring it out, I don't know, but it's definitely happening." |

While Ubisoft's Rainbow Six: Siege goes from strength to strength, many fans may be hungering for the classic Rainbow Six or SWAT tactical FPS vibes that Ready or Not is planning to provide. Now, four and half years since it was announced, Ready or Not has finally hit its early access release. Ready or Not is tactical FPS made as a spiritual successor to classic Rainbow Six and SWAT games which was announced way back in May 2017. Developed by VOID Interactive, earlier this year it was announced that Ready or Not would be published by Team 17 - as well as confirmed that it would launch in Steam Early Access first. Just last week VOID Interactive finally confirmed that Ready or Not will hit early access this month - albeit, by the sounds of it, a little earlier than the team would've liked. While an early "supporter edition" of Ready of Not has already been released, VOID apparently couldn't persuade Steam to provide more keys for this version of the game without going live - so that's what the team is going to do. |
