You can play how you want, look how you want, and, thanks to the wealth of Minecraft mods, even change every little thing to be whatever you want. A lot of that is free as long as you've bought the game. Things get a little murkier when it comes to the Minecraft marketplace, where money exchanges hands. The Minecraft marketplace has been around for a while, but because it's only on the Bedrock edition and console versions of the game, it's not something that a lot of Java players might be familiar with. That's all different now that the two versions are in one place though. With more people exposed to the Minecraft marketplace, it's not surprising that there are some teething troubles. A Redditor called Boredbud04 uploaded a small video clip showing off some of the 'Back Items' from the marketplace. These are cosmetics that take up a generally unused slot that can add a little bit of flair to characters. Unlike many skins, though, they're also a little more ostentatious because they change the shape of your character. While some are just wings, it's hard not to notice how large they are when they start obstructing the market screen itself. You gather resources from the battles, so that you can then make more weapons and items, and consequently, travel to new areas, fight new monsters, and progress the story. PCGamesN Thursday, June 16, 2022 6:45 AM  You can once again play the Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 with mods enabled, as the DirectX 11 versions have returned to Steam. The u-turn follows an upgrade that permanently injected DirectX 12 into the survival horror games, breaking their ambient lighting and mod compatibility in the process. In a Steam update post, Capcom says it has reactivated the previous version of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 in line with an " overwhelming community response." The publisher also shares steps to restore the DirectX 11 versions on your gaming PC, returning the remakes and sequels to their original state. DirectX 12 enhancements are usually a good thing, especially if you want to put the best graphics card to the test with features like ray tracing. However, Capcom's decision to permanently bake them into its series broke popular fan projects like Resident Evil VR, not to mention it raised the minimum spec bar for all three games. Kuki Shinobu is the new Genshin Impact character, and you'll be able to get your hands on the four-star Electro character as part of the next Genshin Impact banner, Oni's Royale. The Oni's Royale banner stars Kuki Shinobu's boss, the demon-blooded five-star Geo gang leader Arataki Itto, alongside Kuki Shinobu and fellow four-star characters Chongyun and Gorou. The Oni's Royale banner runs from June 21 - July 12, and the test run event will also be open to allow players to try out the featured characters in a fixed environment. For players wanting to get to know Kuki Shinobu a little better, a hangout event will be available permanently from June 21 onwards, requiring players to use a story key. The first act of Kuki Shinobu's event requires players to be adventure rank 40 and have completed Arataki Itto's story quest Taurus Iracundus chapter: act I - 'Rise up, golden soul' and Archon quest interlude chapter: act II - 'Perilous trail' to unlock. A new version of Genshin Impact arrives every six weeks, complete with new characters, quests, and events. It's difficult to keep track of which events are currently running and if there are any new ones coming soon, so here's a schedule for all current and upcoming Genshin Impact events. There are usually a number of Genshin Impact events running simultaneously, and they aren't just in-game events. When a new Genshin Impact character joins the game, the devs launch a web event at the same time - players learn about the latest characters through an interactive story told through a web browser. The rewards for completing different events range from in-game items like primogems and mora, to real life prizes like mouse mats and plushies. Just like the Genshin Impact banners, most events are only available for a limited time, so it's worth participating as soon as you can. New events are usually added to Genshin Impact after an update, but it's worth keeping an eye out on this page as the devs do like to surprise the community. The Grapple Gloves are functionally the same as the Spider-Man Web Shooters from Chapter 3 Season 1, but with some minor cosmetic differences. You can find a Fortnite Grapple Glove set inside purple chests you can find across the Fortnite map, in this case, shacks with cranes on top of them. And you'll need to find them eventually, because there's an upcoming challenge that requires the use of the Grapple Gloves to complete it. You'll need to find a pair of these powerful gloves, equip them, and then swing for a total of 50 metres. Each Grapple Glove you collect has 30 shots in standard games, though you only get 10 in competitive modes. In case you run out of charge, the popular battle royale game has other options to increase your mobility, not counting the fact you can still sprint and vault around, of course. The Fortnite Baller vehicles in Rave Cave work very similarly to the Grapple Gloves, and you can also ride Fortnite animals for as long as they'll bear your weight. One of the Zero Week challenges asks players to plant or summon reality saplings using reality seeds, so here's how they work. Reality Falls is one of the new areas in the Fortnite map, covered in glowing purple trees. In the middle of this location is a large, lilac tree that drops reality seed pods, which can be broken using your pickaxe to obtain Fortnite reality seeds. You can plant these seeds anywhere on the island and they will grow into reality saplings, which you can loot in following games for weapons and gear. You need to find and plant three reality seeds to complete this week's challenge. To plant a seed, find any location on the map where you're likely to return in future games, equip a seed, and throw it onto the ground. You need to take care of the plant by weeding it when needed in order to get higher tier loot such as legendary and mythic items. This week, a free armoured Kuruma is probably the biggest draw, complete with vehicle armour and bulletproof tires. There's plenty of event boosts to help you rack up in-game cash and reputation points in this week's events, too - both are doubled from getting involved in special cargo missions, the sumo remix adversary modes, the top fun dirt bike chase mission sequence, and any of shady car dealer Simeon's missions. You can also net a 50% additional bonus to rewards from any of the vehicle cargo CEO missions, which task players with filling their warehouses with stolen vehicles for sale. If you want to obtain a car by more 'legitimate' means, the GTA Online Prize Ride this week is the Turismo Classic, netted by finishing top five in car meet races for four days running. In much the same spirit as Until Dawn and Supermassive Games' The Dark Chronicles series, The Quarry follows the fate of several teenage camp counsellors as they remain stranded in Hackett's Quarry Summer Camp long after the kids have gone home. But, as they prepare for one last blowout party, it becomes clear that something terrifying is hunting them down in this slasher interactive horror movie. With some rather impressive motion capture technology - and a mix of stars of cult horror films and up-and-coming actors - it's relatively easy to tell who The Quarry cast and characters are by looking at them. However, a few faces may be a little harder to recognise. You can opt to play on your own and get the best The Quarry ending, but it's perhaps best experienced with friends, either online with everyone voting at crucial decision moments or locally by passing the controller to whichever person chooses to have control of that character. With 16 characters in The Quarry, that means each player has to take on multiple roles at a time. If you own a Penthouse, you can spin it for free, but if you don't it's $500 a spin. Don't fret if you don't win, as you can try for something else. Each update arrives with a new banner that lasts around three weeks, and after it expires, it's followed by a second banner which also lasts roughly three weeks, at which point it's update time once again. Wondering what the next Genshin Impact banner is? Even though we hear rumours of new Genshin Impact characters arriving in forthcoming updates, we won't know their exact release date until we know which banner they will be a part of, and whether it'll be the first or second banner in the update. Occasionally, banners don't stick to this schedule - most notably, update 1.3 had three two-week banners, so that Hu Tao's banner didn't cross over with the Chinese New Year. Typically, each limited character banner - or Event Wish - contains a five-star character, and three four-star characters. There's also a Weapon banner - Epitome Invocation - which runs alongside each character banner, and features different weapons each time. Capcom revealed the new Gore Magala and Espinas armor sets coming with the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak expansion. The two videos give a brief glimpse at each armor set's male and female variants, as well as how the Palamute and Palico gear will look. Both the Gore Magala and Espinas armor sets bear a striking resemblance to their appearances in previous generations. Below is the Gore Magala armor set video. From the looks of it, the armor appears to be based on the Gore X armor set from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. The default armor will glow a neon pink, with both male and female variants including a full helm faceplate. The Gore Magala Palamute armor takes a similar approach, complete with a glowing cape and helmet. The shoulder pauldrons are also pointier, and the female variant will wear shorts. The Espinas Palamute armor will have the companion wearing some sports sunglasses and pants. Capcom released a fix for the recent patch to the PC version of several Resident Evil games, which allows users to continue using the previous version of each game and its respective mods. Specifically, the fix allows users to play versions of the games that don't use ray-tracing or enhanced 3D audio. Users can access these versions by changing the games' properties via Steam. Earlier this week, Capcom re-released Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, and Resident Evil VII for current-gen consoles. The latest version of the games added many improvements including higher framerate options, ray-tracing, and enhanced 3D audio, among other features. An update for the PC version of each game also appeared, similarly featuring ray-tracing and 3D audio. However, fans of the game were quick to raise a few concerns. Firstly, Capcom noted that the patches would raise system requirements for PC users. Notably, the games would begin requiring Version 12 of DirectX, rather than the previous Version 11. The new patch also raised graphics card requirements, with no way to revert to previous versions without disabling updates. To do so, players can go to their Steam library and access the game's properties menu by right-clicking the game. Ex-Final Fantasy brand manager and Square Enix executive Shinji Hashimoto announced he is joining the Sony Music Entertainment subsidiary ForwardWorks. Starting June 16, 2022, Hashimoto will serve as a senior advisor at Sony Music Entertainment and as a board member at ForwardWorks. Hashimoto notes that this new endeavor will allow him to continue focusing on the "creation of entertainment." Hashimoto was a long-term employee at Square Enix up until his announced departure last month. The Square Enix veteran worked on numerous high-profile series such as Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, and The World Ends With You, among many others. Run around an interconnected world while fighting baddies and using the essence they drop to purchase a paltry upgrade point for health, stamina, or whatever. This one has a bit of a pedigree, though! It's called Steelrising, which is both generic and nondescript. What a winning combo. Spiders is a French developer that found acclaim for their previous game, Greedfall, which I reviewed. When I was offered the chance to preview their newest title, I jumped at it. But I didn't realize it was a Souls-like, and I was chagrined when I went to check out this build. Steelrising separates itself from other Souls-likes in a legitimately interesting way. Games in the genre are almost always set in some fantasy or sci-fi world, filled with dead things, decay, etc. This one, however, is set after a failed, alternate history French Revolution.
