RGG Studio's newest trailer for the Like a Dragon historical spin-off, Like a Dragon: Ishin, shows off some Bakumatsu-era minigames you can indulge in. It also introduces the different combat styles Ryoma can use upon his enemies. The first full-length trailer for the game focused on the story and characters, whereas this one is mostly on the gameplay mechanics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAAr2tIWoss The four different styles are Sword, Gun, Fists, and Wild Dance. The Wild Dance stance will let Ryoma rampage around the battlefield with both his sword and gun. Ryoma can also customize his weapons himself. One of his upgrades is to apply fire damage to his swords. This is in contrast to protagonists from the mainline Like a Dragon series. They usually had to seek the help of NPCs to upgrade their equipment. You will also be able to "hire" legacy characters from the Like a Dragon series as assists. Examples include Kasuga, Makoto Makimura, Mame, and a bear. Equipping their cards will allow Ryoma to use their skills, or even summon them in combat. Substories in the series are famous for their general bizarre characters, and the trailer introduces a few of them. There even appears to be a Bakumatsu counterpart to Yakuza 0's Bacchus mingled in. As for minigames in Like a Dragon: Ishin, you will be able to indulge in cooking, karuta, chicken races, fishing, karaoke, and more. The PC version of Square Enix's Triangle Strategy is now available for pre-order via Steam. It will be on a discounted price until October 13, 2022, which is when it comes out. The trailer for the game mostly shows off the characters and the story, as well as how the game looks like. At almost four minutes long, the trailer is a combination of voiced dialogue and portraits of the characters. It also shows off some of the special attack animations for moves like Glacial Moon. The song that plays is "Song of Triangle Strategy" by Akira Senju. Senju previously worked on Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Valvrave the Liberator, and Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike. He is also the main composer of the game. However, a new conflict has arisen and key political figures from the three countries in Norzella – Glenbrook, Aesfrost, and Hyzante – must work together to solve it. Capcom has announced that Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will have online functionality. The development of these functions was revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2022 by the game's director, Masakazu Eguchi. Eguchi, aka Mr. Famous, specifically mentions that online battles and chip trading are in the works for each game in the collection. No further details about Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection's online functions were given during the presentation. At this time it's not known if the online functions will be in the game at launch or added after. Beyond the in-development Mega Man Battle Network online features, Capcom also announced that a 3D MegaMan.EXE character will help guide players through the collection's game selection screen and gallery. The helpful MegaMan.EXE will even have voiced reactions. This feature, Capcom says, is similar to how the series' protagonist, Lan Hikari, and MegaMan.EXE connect via Lan's PET (PErsonal Terminal). It even claims that if you're playing the collection on a handheld, "it's a lot like having a PET of your own." First revealed during the June 2022 Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection bundles together all 10 main games in the series. Legacy Collection will also feature a gallery containing over 1,000 art pieces and a music collection with over 150 songs. A new figure of Sophie Neuenmuller will come from the same company that published her game. Koei Tecmo has established its own figure brand named KT model+, and the first figure in the lineup will be a 1/7 scale figure of the Atelier Sophie protagonist. Pre-orders for the figure are available worldwide, courtesy of Good Smile Company. Wonderful Works will produce the figures as it attempts to replicate NOCO's original illustration of the character. This figure will have an overall height of approximately 225mm (~8.8 inches). Koei Tecmo has also set up pre-orders on its Japanese web store. The regular edition will cost 33,000 yen. A limited edition costing 45,100 yen (~$314) is available exclusively on the company's website. It will include a more elaborate diorama board, an A2-sized tapestry, and a round cushion.
