PCGamesN Thursday, December 8, 2022 6:50 AM When is Fallout 5 coming out? Following the reveal and subsequent release of the multiplayer spin-off Fallout 76, news and rumours about a proper Fallout 5 have been scarce. Bethesda is still supporting the series' online offering, but its lukewarm reception could well mean we don't see a Fallout 5 release date for a long time. It has been a while since we witnessed the bombs drop and enjoyed our single-player sojourn through Fallout 4's Boston, and it's fair to say that few were left satisfied by Bethesda's foray into multiplayer with Fallout 76, which was devoid of human NPCs, traditional questing, and basically all the things we've come to love about the series. Naturally then, we're already itching for news of the Fallout 5 release date – unless that's that pesky Radroach bite. No, we're pretty sure it's excitement. Numbered releases in the Fallout series can be half a decade apart, so we could be waiting a long time before we can pick at the remains of a new Fallout location. So, for the moment, we'll have to be satisfied with rumours and hearsay: there is little in terms of Fallout 5 news. We've compiled all the Fallout 5 information that's currently out there below, along with our Fallout 5 wishlist. MiHoYo's charming open-world game is notoriously easy to lose yourself in, and if you're like us, you're constantly looking out for more Genshin Impact primogems and other handy consumables. Gathering currency in Genshin Impact can be quite the grind - while you can earn mora and primogems by completing quests such as daily commissions, an injection of extra funds will always be gratefully received. Fortunately, the developers MiHoYo occasionally send out free gifts in the form of Genshin Impact codes that can be redeemed online and in the free PC game. These Genshin Impact codes are released periodically, frequently appearing in MiHoYo's special programs that reveal information about future updates coming to the anime game soon, but also to celebrate milestones or to coincide with new Genshin Impact events. Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Thursday, December 8, 2022 9:33 AM Since release last Friday, The Callisto Protocol devs at Striking Distance Studio have been, I can only imagine, catastrophically hard at work on the PC build. The game was almost unplayable on PC because shader compilation was causing stuttering whenever anything new happened for the first time, which is not ideal in any game, but especially not an atmospheric horror game with jump scares. It's hard to be terrified by something if the game pauses for over a second when it happens. Anyway, the point is that a patch was released over the weekend, and another yesterday. I'm out of town right now, so I haven't been able to install the second, but I did play test the first one, and whaddaya know? The Callisto Protocol ran smooth for me, using a PC with the recommended specs. |

Siliconera Thursday, December 8, 2022 9:00 AM Intelligent Systems detailed another Fire Emblem alum making an appearance in Fire Emblem Engage: Lyn from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. As with previous Emblem character reveals, the info came via the official Fire Emblem Engage Twitter account. Check it out below. https://twitter.com/FireEmblemJP/status/1600759434111725568 In Fire Emblem Engage, Lyn is an Emblem character that can be paired with another unit to enhance its abilities and bring new options to the table. Lyn's specialty is a fierce and unrelenting offense. This momentum denies enemies a counterattack. It's also suited is suited both to short- and long-range units, so Lyn is best paired with the heaviest hitters in a formation. Her Link Skill, "Offensive," delivers a follow-up attack before the enemy can counter, should their speed stat be higher than the opponent's. Her "Killer Bow" link weapon boosts the critical hit rate of an attacker. Lyn has the "Afterimages" Engage Skill, too, which summons doubles that can attract enemy attention. They also facilitate chain attacks over a wide area. Lyn can also use her "Meteor Shower" Engage Attack to deliver a punishing blow from a long range, risk-free. "Covert" units can use the skill with a greatly increased range. Before Fire Emblem Engage, Lyn, also known as Lyndis, was one of the main characters of 2003's Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade (released outside Japan as simply Fire Emblem) on the Game Boy Advance. Lyn was a solitary nomad of the Sacaen plains, but in truth was a granddaughter of a lord of Caelin, putting her in line to lead the kingdom. Depending on the ending of the game, Lyn can also become the mother of Roy, the protagonist of Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. Another tidbit from Fire Emblem Engage shows Lyn in conversation with Etie. Lyn is voiced by Makiko Ohmoto, who also voices Kirby in the Kirby series, Ness in Super Smash Bros., and Saiyaka Maizono in the Danganronpa series. https://twitter.com/FireEmblemJP/status/1600759169765625856 In the clip, Etie remarks on Lyn's physique, praising her potential to gain impressive muscles. Lyn replies by saying her training is usually oriented towards archery and swordsmanship, but that a bit of bodybuilding might be an interesting pursuit. Fire Emblem Engage launches on the Nintendo Switch on January 23, 2023. Check out reveals detailing other characters, like Fogato and Hortensia. Called the Demon Slayer Corps Report, the special will air the latest information about the anime when it airs on December 10, 2022 in Japan. Siliconera Thursday, December 8, 2022 7:30 AM Some new information on what will be new in the Yakuza spin-off Like a Dragon: Ishin appeared. There will be new substories, as well as new mini-games. There will also be a camera mode, complete with the ability to edit your pictures in the game. It is unclear how Sega will implement that into the game's setting. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!] A mechanic of the game will be "Another Life," in which you live in the countryside with Haruka. There will be cooking, dancing, and fishing mini-games. Ryoma can also help out at a udon shop similar to how Kiryu worked at a ramen stall in Yakuza 6. A drinking game will let you challenge NPCs to see who can drink more alcohol the fastest, and you can also participate in chicken races. There will be two new songs to sing in Like A Dragon: Ishin when you go to the karaoke bar. The first is a Bakumatsu arrange of "Baka Mitai" and the second is "Ichizu Samurai," which will have "sexy actresses" seducing you in live-action segments. RGG Studio previously showed off Ryoma singing "Baka Mitai" in a trailer. The trailer also displayed Ryoma's four different fighting styles and some examples of characters (including a bear) he can summon in battle. It also showed some of the mini-games listed here, such as the chicken races. As for substories, there will be events featuring characters that look like Shinji Tanaka, Tsuyoshi Kanda, Koji Shindo, and Miss Tatsu. These are all side characters from previous Yakuza titles. There will also be side content in which you collect books and memos that give information on the Bakumatsu era and important figures from that part of history. Like A Dragon: Ishin will come out on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC in February 2023. However, there will still be some new footage that Aniplex will share at the end of the year. [Thanks, Comic Natalie!] According to a statement from the official website, A-1 Pictures had no choice but to delay the release of the anime due to issues in its development. Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn will supposed to air during the Fate Project End of the Year TV Special. People can still watch some of the new scenes on that day though. Aniplex first announced the OVA in late September 2022 as part of the Aniplex Online Fest. At the time, it released a short trailer featuring Saber (Richard the Lionhearted). That was also when Aniplex revealed the English and Japanese cast. It will star Kana Hanzawa and Yuki Ono as Ayaka and Saber in Japanese.
