Kotaku Tuesday, April 11, 2023 5:50 PM Normally I wouldn't get too excited about a Resident Evil film, as both the live-action and CG entries haven't been great. PCGamesN Tuesday, April 11, 2023 4:24 PM Destiny 2's latest raid is technically possible to solo flawlessly, as one Guardian proved that a single person can complete the FPS game's Root of Nightmares Marcocosom encounter. Though an entire solo flawless run is yet to be completed, the fact that a player completed this epic undertaking demonstrates that the Destiny 2 raid's mechanics itself would allow someone to solo the entire raid and could execute that endeavour flawlessly. In the game's terms, they would do so without dying throughout the entire experience. MORE FROM PCGAMESN: Destiny 2 classes, Destiny 2 Lightfall review, Destiny 2 builds |

Siliconera Tuesday, April 11, 2023 7:00 PM There's a new look at exactly how mapping will work in the updated rereleases of Etrian Odyssey, Etrian Odyssey 2, and Etrian Odyssey 3 on new platforms. Atlus shared a brief Etrian Odyssey Origins video. It begins by showing how all-manual mapping looks in the game. After that, it offers a look at where people can choose additional options, then how the full Automap feature works. First of all, the video is a clip of Etrian Odyssey 3. The player is on B1F and is about to get a treasure in E3. It shows how the left and right triggers are used when placing items and preparing maps, as well as the different icons for charting. With the treasure chest icon, it will open or close based on whether the player already obtained the item in the chest. At just about the 40 second mark, the video clip shows the Options menu. The Etrian Odyssey Origins Automap mapping function appears under the Field section, along with Movement Speed, Dominant Hand Setting, Mapping Cursor Position, and Mapping Touch Controls. It shows on, off, and automap as possibilities, with automap filling in walls and floors.
Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection will release on the Switch and Windows PC on June 1, 2023. Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection will release on the Switch and Windows PC on June 1, 2023. The post Etrian Odyssey Origins Mapping Features Highlighted in New Video appeared first on Siliconera. |

Siliconera Tuesday, April 11, 2023 5:24 PM New Final Fantasy XVI gameplay footage will appear at a State of Play presentation scheduled for April 13, 2023. The presentation will be held at 2pm PDT/5pm ET/11pm CEST. Additionally, Sony has shared that co-streaming of the event will be available to content creators. However, the presentation could contain copyright footage, and livestreamers should be aware before co-streaming the broadcast. Previously, Square Enix shared that more information about Final Fantasy XVI would appear ahead of the release of the game, which is slated for late-June 2023. While new gameplay footage for Final Fantasy XVI will appear at the State of Play presentation, elaboration on what will appear is sparse. The official Sony State of Play blog reveals that the presentation will elaborate a bit on the game's "dark fantasy setting." It will also feature footage of the combat system shown in previous demonstrations and trailers. At PAX East 2023, Producer Naoki Yoshida held a live demonstration which showed protagonist Clive moving around in one of the environments. One of the highlights of this brief segment also showed players that they can pet Clive's wolf-dog companion Torgal. Final Fantasy XVI will release on the PlayStation 5 on June 23, 2022, with a six month exclusivity period. While Square Enix has not confirmed it coming to other platforms, it could be a possibility. Siliconera Tuesday, April 11, 2023 5:00 PM Blizzard shared a new Diablo IV class trailer featuring the Rogue through the official YouTube channel. Playable in the Diablo IV open beta, the Rogue is a class that offers a versatile blend of melee and ranged combat. Able to utilize dual daggers and swords, alongside a bow, the Rogue is capable of debuffing foes and laying traps. The trailer showcases how players can take advantage of the sheer range of abilities the Rogue has with either weapon. You can watch the Diablo IV Rogue trailer below. [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqGKjAfMNYE&ab_channel=Diablo[/embed] The Rogue is one of several classes that will appear in Diablo IV. Like the Necromancer, it makes a return from Diablo II. Other classes include the Barbarian, Druid, and Sorcerer. As it stands, these are the only classes that will be appearing once Diablo IV releases in early June 2023. This entry in the series will focus on the war between Lilith and Inarius, the creators of Sanctuary. Players were given a glimpse into the narrative through the open beta period, which allowed for them to play through the first act of the game. However, there were some issues concerning the game frying a specific line of graphics cards. Diablo IV will release on June 6, 2023 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC. Siliconera Tuesday, April 11, 2023 4:30 PM The Rune Factory games can get a bit odd, what with the fact that there are both numbered and unnumbered entries. People might wonder if certain titles are optional or if it is necessary to play them in a certain order. Especially since there are some recurring characters who pop up in multiple installments. The thing is that they are largely like the Final Fantasy series, in that you don't have to play the Rune Factory games in any particular order. However, there are some guest characters that appear and might make playing certain ones in order more desirable. What are the Rune Factory games? It's honestly very simple. This is a Story of Seasons/Bokujou no Monogatari spin-off series. So there's still the farming and daily life elements from those simulations. That also means you can develop relationships with characters. However, this is paired with action-RPG elements and dungeon-crawling, which can also be done alongside love interests in some entries. Which Rune Factory games you should absolutely play in order?Guess what? There are only two that really feel like they need to be played one after the other. These are the original Rune Factory on the DS and Rune Factory Frontier for the Wii. This is because the first game introduces the protagonist Raguna and heroine Mist. The follow-up is a direct sequel in which Raguna sets up a new homestead in Trampoli while searching for a missing Mist and gets caught up in an endeavor to protect that town. What if I do want to play mainline entries in order?Well, in that case, following the numbered entries one-by-one works. Especially since you'll see Rune Factory 2's Barrett and Rune Factory 3's Raven in Rune Factory 4, as an example of "guest" characters. Not to mention 4's Doug and Margaret show up in 5.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69rjJZexlPY&ab_channel=Natsume_Inc Is there any Rune Factory game that doesn't require any possible tie-ins to other entries?Yup! That would be Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny. This is a self-contained story involving different characters, new elements like controlling both the male and female protagonists Aden and Sonja, and dealing with sunken islands. It's available on the PS3 and Wii, though the Wii version is regarded as the better of the two. The post How to Get into the Rune Factory Games appeared first on Siliconera. |

PC Invasion - FeedDDD Tuesday, April 11, 2023 5:35 PM There's a technical issue ongoing in Fortnite that likely has you wondering, "why did my Gold Bars disappear?" The answer to this is not fully known at this time, but it appears to be an error like previous incidents when this happened. The good news is that Epic Games is aware of the issue and has been investigating it. You can view the incident report over on the Fortnite Status Twitter account. Based on previous incidents, this just appears to be an error where you are unable to see or access your Gold Bars in your account. Your Gold Bars will appear to be set at zero, but are not gone from your account. Epic Games successfully restored Gold Bars in previous instances and players didn't lose out on the in-game currency. There's no timeline on a fix to this issue, however, so you may want to try this workaround if you're dealing with the problem and want to use your Gold Bars now. PC Invasion - FeedDDD Tuesday, April 11, 2023 4:52 PM Overwatch 2 Season 4 started today and brought a number of quality-of-life changes to the game. This included the removal of rank decay, allowing players to theoretically properly receive their end-of-season ranked rewards for playing competitive mode. But in a twist of fate, when players logged onto the game this afternoon at the start of Season 4, many players found their rank had still fallen despite promises that rank decay would no longer apply to the end of the season. Players sounded off on Reddit and the official forums, with numerous bug reports that their rank had either fallen or that they had received incorrect ranked rewards for the season. One player stated they had ended the season in Diamond, but ended up ranking Plat in all roles. While the lower rank for many players is disappointing, there are a number of players who ended the season at a higher rank, as well. The reason for the differing ranks actually has nothing to do with decay at all. Why did my rank go down in ... |
