There's one simple way of answering this question if you're familiar with the Fallout games, and that's by saying they're somewhat akin to bandits in the wasteland. On average, each system will have around ten celestial bodies for you to explore. We know you can build outposts in Starfield, hire characters to staff them, and harvest resources. It's likely that every planet has at least one point of interest worth delving into or valuable materials potentially difficult to find elsewhere. Not every Starfield planet is going to be loaded with content, and some may not have life on them at all due to their procedurally generated nature. Some are home worlds of the many Starfield factions, where you can visit their main headquarters in Starfield cities like New Atlantis on the planet Jemison. Many other worlds are desolate places ripe for exploration, though you'll have to set out on foot, which is just as well as the sole concern of Constellation, one of the primary groups, is to push the frontiers of human understanding. It's hard to specify what they've unearthed without accidentally sounding the Major Spoilers trumpet and initiating Armageddon, but the supposed buried offerings include additional areas, swathes of dialogue, storylines, cutscenes, characters, romance opportunities and even deities. Given just how much Larian's gargantuan RPG gives you to play with, I am kind of thankful for a generous amount of stuff being "left out" - certainly, I don't need any more romanceable NPCs, I'm already fending them off with a broomhandle. But the news has gone down badly with a few players, and especially those who feel the game's overall quality takes a dive in acts 2 and 3. Developers have come to Larian's defence, amongst them David Gaider, former Baldur's Gate 2 and Dragon Age writer, who is nowadays creative director of Summerfall Games, creator of the very earwormy STRAY GODs: The Roleplaying Musical. "Not surprised to hear of the amount of stuff apparently cut from BG3," Gaider wrote on Twix. "BG2 had a mountain of stuff cut over its development, some early and some even after lots of work had gone into it... almost every game does. Every DA game did. Heck, even Stray Gods had some considerable cuts." |

This is Holstin, a Polish survival horror experience in which you merrily rove an isolated town that, based on 14 minutes of fumbling around in exactly one very unwelcoming house, already seems a match for Silent Hill in terms of existential squalor. It's a part of the world we don't often get to see in games, and its stunning pixel art (and tiny cute little llamas) instantly caught my eye when I got to play an early mission from it at last week's Gamescom. Made by four developers spread across the globe, the official genres listed on its Steam page describe it as a tactical turn-based action adventure RPG where you guide four separate heroes in their fight against the ominous sounding Red Company. But just saying it's turn-based is doing Arco a disservice, I think, as it's also a little bit real-time, a little bit simultaneous turns, and all pretty brilliant, if you ask me. Stardew Valley: The Board Game is a cooperative game that you can play either by yourself or with up to three friends. A warning on the website states that it is not a quick game to play. While the actual Stardew Valley game has routes where you succumb to the evils of capitalism, the tabletop version ocuses more on revitalizing the town. You can farm and fish to restore the Community Center, as well as befriend the residents of Stardew Valley. Stardew Valley is readily available on the PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Windows PC, and mobile devices. The board game will be available for pre-order from September 5, 2023. PC Invasion - FeedDDD Thursday, August 31, 2023 1:02 AM Easily the most imposing and terrifying new enemy introduced in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom comes in the form of the Gloom Spawn, also known as Gloom Hands. This collection of one-eyed demonic hands sprouting from a puddle of gloom can move incredibly quickly to squeeze the life out of Link whenever he gets close. Tackling them early on likely won't end well, but once you gain the strength and courage to take down a Gloom Spawn (or simply stand on a high ledge where it can't reach) you can obtain some Dark Clumps to cook meals for gloom protection. And if the Gloom Spawn produces a Phantom Ganon miniboss upon defeat, you can beat him for a special gloom-based weapon as well as the Demon King's Bow, which increases in strength depending on the number of Heart Containers you have.
