PCGamesN Monday, March 11, 2024 10:50 AM Official Colossal Order and Paradox support for Cities Skylines 2 mods sounds like it won't arrive any time soon, despite previous suggestions that the city building sequel won't get a true, new modding platform in early 2024. While Cities Skylines 2 mods are available already, and players have benefitted from changes and optimizations to road building, traffic, population, the economy, and more, the current crop of CS2 mods are only accessible and creatable through third-party means. Likewise, there are still no official platforms for making and sharing custom Cities Skylines 2 assets. Considering how important mods have been to the longevity of the original Cities Skylines, and anticipation about the state of the sequel after a troubled launch, official CS2 mod support is very eagerly awaited. Based on a new statement from Colossal Order and Paradox, however, this may not be arriving when we originally hoped. In an interview with Game Informer, Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida confirmed the PC version is in development and will involve a demo. As a reminder, the original PS5 release of FFXVI also involved a demo. [Thanks, Game Informer!]
Yoshida noted that work on the PC version is in the "final stages of optimization." He did confirm that a demo will be available for people to try. The interview didn't note if it will be identical to the trial version for the PS5 and have save data that will carry over. However, he did tease a release window. When discussing when more announcements will come from Square Enix, he told Game Informer, "…it won't be a year, it won't be two years, it will probably be shorter than that."
We've known Square Enix is working on a PC version of this entry for a while. Back before its release, marketing in November 2022 noted it would be exclusive to the console for at least six months. Then about six months later in May 2023, Yoshida noted a PC version would appear. DLC and PC news was also teased for that year.
More news about the Leviathan DLC will arrive soon, however, Square Enix confirmed there will be a PAX East 2024 panel with announcements about the add-on.
Final Fantasy XVI and its demo are currently available for the PS5, and a PC version is in development.

Earlier in March 2024, Square Enix teased a The First Take Final Fantasy VII Rebirth appearance, and now the Loren Allred and Nobuo Uematsu full performance of the FFVII remake trilogy song "No Promises to Keep" is live. Allred sings, Uematsu plays the piano, and Uematsu's band conTIKI offers support in the video.
As a reminder, Nobuo Uematsu composed this Final Fantasy VII Rebirth theme song, with Allred performing it "in character" as Aerith as the theme song for the new FFVII game. People can hear it in-game at the Gold Saucer during a performance of Loveless.
Here's the full performance of "No Promises to Keep." While this is a Japanese YouTube channel, Allred performs the English version of the song.
It isn't uncommon for The First Take to feature songs from from games or anime series. The One Piece anime opening "We Are One" appeared on the channel. Naruto Shippuden's theme song "Sign" showed up too. Even Hololive Vtuber Hoshimachi Suisei showed up there. She performed "Stellar Stellar" the first time, then returned with "Michizure."
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available on the PS5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024. FFVII Remake is available on the PS4, PS5, and PC.

Bandai Namco has announced that Gundam Metaverse will be available to access again for a limited time. The second time-limited opening period will take place in two separate blocks. The first one will run on March 15-17, 2024, and the second one will be on March 22-24, 2024.
This opening period will be available to people residing in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the US. Each user will have to register a Bandai Namco ID to access the metaverse. They can also pre-register to get priority access and obtain a bonus MSN-04 Sazabi helmet for their avatars. The pre-registration window is still open until March 11, 2024, at 9:59 PM PDT (March 12, 2024, at 12:59 AM EDT).
Bandai Namco has published a new trailer on its YouTube channel, which is also available in English. The metaverse's AI character Mellow Neige explains the features in Japanese with English subtitles.
Gundam Metaverse will appear as the first entry in Bandai Namco's long-term plan to establish metaverses based on its multiple IPs. The company will create virtual communities focusing on different media, such as anime, video games, music, and Gunpla (Gundam plastic model kits). The metaverse's first opening session happened in October 2023, but it was marred by inadvertent leaks of CAD files for multiple Mobile Suits from the franchise.
The second limited-time opening of Gundam Metaverse will be available via PC browsers in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the US from March 15 to 24, 2024.

While The Knave Arlecchino debuted as a supporting character in the Genshin Impact Fontaine storyline, she will become the next playable Fatui in 4.6. As part of the typical drip marketing, HoYoVerse took to social media to share more details about her.
The first announcement went over some details about her. She is the Head of the House of the Hearth and Dire Balemoon. She has a Pyro Vision, which can be seen on her back in her official art. Her Constellation is known as Ignis Purgatorius.
The second part of the announcement went over a spoiler-filled example of a moment in the life of the Fatui Harbinger. It discussed her reminiscing in her current home with certain individuals, one of whom is also playable in the game, before being called into action.
As a reminder, Genshin Impact is getting one new character in 4.5. That's Chiori, who will debut in the first banner on March 13, 2024. A new banner with her and rerun banner with Itto will both show up when the update goes live. Both of them are Geo characters, with Chiori using a sword and Itto relying upon a claymore.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and Arlecchino will debut in 4.5.

We'll let you know whether or not you can get romantic with any NPCs in this fantasy RPG. Dragon's Dogma 2: Is there romance? The good news is that yes, there will be romance in Dragon's Dogma 2, as confirmed by Capcom.
