All Dragon's Dogma 2 Mystic Spearhand skills and which to unlock

What are the best Dragon's Dogma 2 Mystic Spearhand skills? There are four default vocations in Dragon's Dogma 2, but if you do a bit of searching, you can transform your Arisen into a completely different class. The Mystic Spearhand is so special that only the Arisen can use it, and judging by the skills it has, it would be unfair if your Pawns had access to such broken abilities.

The Mystic Spearhand blends the sheer power of a Warrior with the magical abilities of a Sorcerer, creating arguably the best Dragon's Dogma 2 vocation in the entire RPG game. Whether you want to fight from a distance or up close, the Mystic Spearhand can truly do it all with ease. All you need to do is track down the Mystic Spearhand maister location on your Dragon's Dogma 2 map. Here's everything you need to unlock the Mystic Spearhand and create the ultimate build in Dragon's Dogma 2.

How to find Rodge in Dragon's Dogma 2 Prey for the Pack

Where can you find Dragon's Dogma 2 Rodge's location to complete the Prey for the Pack quest? Put yourself in the shoes of Morris, the Apothecary in Checkpoint Rest Town. You're a simple man, you sell roborants for a decent profit, and you manage to support your family without having to work weekends. Suddenly, your grandson, Rodge, has been abducted by a pack of wolves — fortunately, the Arisen is here to save the day.

There aren't a lot of people in Dragon's Dogma 2 who would go into the wilderness to save someone, but the Arisen is a special kind of person. This quest is fairly simple to complete once you know where to go, and we've made that task a lot easier with our map marker. Don't worry, the main Dragon's Dogma 2 enemies you'll be fighting are wolves for this quest. Remember, there's no Dragon's Dogma 2 fast travel Portcrystal in this town, so you're going to have to rely on an oxcart if you want to get to Checkpoint Rest Town quickly.

This guide contains spoilers and answers to Rodge's location and the Prey for the Pack quest.

How to get a house in Dragon's Dogma 2

How do you get a Dragon's Dogma 2 house? If you find that you're hemorrhaging gold at the local town's inn, we have some good news. You can buy at least two houses, one in Vernworth and one in Battahl, with a bed and storage chests to stash your well-earned loot.

Since you'll be resting quite often in Dragon's Dogma 2, and it's not always possible to sleep outside, having a safe place for you and your Dragon's Dogma 2 pawns to snooze is paramount. Another reason to buy your property rather than stay at inns or camp outside of town is that those you help in quests occasionally give you items via the satchel on the door. Who doesn't love free stuff? It's the perfect place to prepare as you complete Dragon's Dogma 2 quests, so here is how you can get a house in both Vernworth and Bakbattahl.

New game plus in Starfield works a bit differently than other games; for one, it's actually woven into the narrative of the game. Without giving too much away, starting a new game plus run is what happens when your character hops between parallel universes, getting the chance to influence events in a different way this time around. However, the fun thing about the concept of the multiverse is that every instance within it is ever so slightly different, and Starfield players have discovered that manifesting in some amusing ways.

Endgame Gear KB65HE review – Hall Effect keyboard tech done right

Endgame Gear is best known for making gaming mice, but it's made a welcome foray into gaming keyboards with the excellent Endgame Gear KB65HE. This plain-looking, but high-performing keyboard is the latest to get much-vaunted Hall Effect sensors, providing stiff competition to magnetic-mechanical efforts from big hitters like SteelSeries and Corsair.

While not a new technology, Hall Effect sensors are still a rarity among keyboards with none of the entries on our best gaming keyboard guide including it. However, it's actually been used in controller thumbsticks for decades, with the SEGA Saturn 3D and Dreamcast controllers being some of the first notable examples. However, because it's relatively expensive, it has taken some time for keyboards - where over 100 sensors are required for a full-size board - to start using the technology. Thankfully, though, the KB65HU doesn't break the bank while bringing this brilliant technology to bear.

Being at once repellent and compelling is some kind of criterion for Real Art Status, and Horses - developed by Saturnalia developers Santa Ragione and directed by Andrea Lucco Borlera - certainly earns that accolade. Out later in 2024, this first-person horror game takes inspiration from the Surrealism art movement and from silent cinema, with monochrome visuals, speech cards in place of spoken dialogue, and rickety live-action footage for certain animations and transitions. But it's also, I think, a meditation on the unique kinds of grotesque only videogames can produce, one that goes beyond the mere portrayal of squalor and bloodshed to explore particular generations and traditions of videogame graphics that are intrinsically cursed. It stood out amid the breezy action games and cosy life sims of this year's Day Of The Devs expo in San Francisco like a bell-tolling plaguebearer in a crowd of Tellytubbies.

Airships have an odd place in games. They pop up as a central idea in a fair few games, but there hasn't really been a definitive one about actually piloting your own.

Passing By - A Tailwind Journey isn't aiming for that, I think, but it nonetheless captures a key part of the appeal such a game should have. It's the sense of drifting, both with the wind and with life more generally, and the stretches of not particularly much happening. But in a good way. This is a game about taking it easy, choosing to sail by the less remarkable things unless you happen to fancy stretching your legs, and having only the trust that the currents will take you where you're meant to go when they get around to it. It's not a purely vibe-based game, but you'll definitely enjoy it a lot more if you can appreciate the mood.

Last month, developers Jyamma announced Enotria: The Last Song, an Italian-inspired Soulslike where masks give you powers. It was originally due out on June 21st, but then FromSoftware announced that Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree would also launch on the same day. Not ideal. So, Jyamma delayed Enotria's release, and in an announcement at last night's Future Games Show, we now know it's launching in August. It has, however, dropped itself into another conundrum: Black Myth: Wukong, another hotly anticipated Soulslike, arrives a day earlier.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is, as a game per se, very good! It's creative and intelligent and lets you fill other players' worlds with recruitable humanoid versions of your pet cats. Still, a technical masterclass it is not. In my performance analysis, I touched on DD2 being particularly unplayable on the Steam Deck, suffering from sub-10fps framerates and a bunch of broken settings. Since that was based on pre-release code, I had quietly hoped that Capcom could pull something – anything – out of the bag to salvage handheld PC play in time for launch day, but now the time has come, I've checked again, and nope. This RPG adventure simply doesn't work on the Steam Deck, and probably never will.

Yu-Gi-Oh card AI appraised by VSS Value Scouter Service

People residing in Japan can now have their Yu-Gi-Oh cards appraised by AI. The Japanese trading card game AI appraiser VSS (Value Scouter Service) has added the title to its lineup of supported card games. It will also include the newest special pack, Quarter Century Chronicle side: Pride, which will be released in Japan on March 23, 2024.

VSS was established in late June 2023 by Collectest Inc., which was also founded recently in late March 2023. The Japanese AI appraiser initially launched with support for the Pokemon Trading Card Game and Magic: The Gathering. It gradually added more titles, with One Piece Card Game joining the list in late January 2024. With Yu-Gi-Oh newly added, the Japanese AI trading card game appraiser now supports four titles.

VSS also distinguishes itself by being a Japan-based service, as many other card game appraisers are located outside the country. People can send their cards to Collectest's office in Tokyo by mail via Yamato Transport, and the company will return them in appraised slabs after receiving payments via credit cards.

The pricing will depend on the card's declared value. Cards valued at 50,000 yen or less will cost 3,278 yen (~$21.68) each. However, if the card is one of the rarest kinds, valued at around 25 to 50 million yen, it will cost a whopping 877,800 yen (~$5,805.50) after tax.

The VSS (Value Scouter Service) trading card game AI Appraiser is available in Japan.

NieR Automata replica eye masks of 2B and 9S

Movic has opened pre-orders for replica eye masks inspired by 2B and 9S' combat goggles in NieR: Automata. These items will also be suitable for people who want to quickly procure the accessories to cosplay the popular characters.

Both items will be made of polyester and have the same price tag of 1,980 yen (~$13). Movic will formally release them in mid-June 2024. The company also added that people who place orders by April 7, 2024, will have guaranteed stock availability. It will stop accepting pre-orders once it has reached the stock limit after that date.

But while Movic generally only ships its items domestically in Japan, the company added that it does not support business stops and will only deliver the items to residential addresses. These eye masks will be modeled after 2B and 9S, the main characters of Square Enix's NieR: Automata.

The title originated as a video game that is readily available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It has over 8 million units sold worldwide as of its 7th anniversary on February 23, 2024. The Ver1.1a anime adaptation is also still ongoing, with its second cour slated to air in 2024.

The NieR: Automata replica eye masks of 2B and 9S will be available in Japan on June 14, 2024.

Atelier Ryza Reisalin Stout Summer Adventure figure

Claynel has started accepting pre-orders for its upcoming Summer Adventure figure of Reisalin "Ryza" Stout from Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. People in Japan can place their orders on Aniplex and AmiAmi web stores at 22,000 yen (~$145). The latter's international storefront also features the figure, but it will only be available in select countries and regions.

This static figure will be specifically based on the anime adaptation of Koei Tecmo and Gust's RPG title that started airing in Japan in July 2023. The 1/7 scale figure will have an overall height of 235mm (~9.25 inches).

Here are some of the sample images for the new Ryza figure:

The availability of this figure outside Japan will be limited. Even though AmiAmi is usually known for supporting worldwide shipping, its listing for the Summer Ryza figure has a fine print stating the limited amount of countries and territories that can receive the figure. It will be available in the entire Americas from north to south. But other than that, the figure will only be available in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

AmiAmi and Aniplex will close pre-orders for the 1/7 scale Summer Adventure figure of Reisalin "Ryza" Stout from the Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout anime show on August 5, 2024. Claynel will formally release the figure in March 2025.

Kingdom Hearts 4 is coming someday, being developed currently for Unreal Engine 5. Outside of the hub world of the Tokyo-like Quadratum, we know little about the locations Sora will visit in the upcoming installment. In the meantime while we wait, here are some of the Disney crossover worlds we hope to see in Kingdom Hearts 4.

Star Wars

Tron was one of the most unique worlds Sora and Riku visited in Dream Drop Distance, and Star Wars feels like the next iteration of that sci-fi style. This feels like a shoe-in, such as Sora helping Rey to take on the First Order or even taking part in the Clone Wars. Plus, the Keyblade just makes so much sense with a lightsaber variant.

The Princess and the Frog

Tangled finally happened in Kingdom Hearts 3 and it is one of my favorite worlds in the entire series. It stands to reason Disney will likely want another Disney princess (or two). Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog feels like a must-have in this next game. After all, players could play through the entirety of her movie's plot, which would be amazing.

Moana

In addition to Princess Tiana, Moana feels like the juggernaut Disney lead who deserves a visit to her beautiful island-centric world in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 4. Much like Frozen in the most recent game, Moana was a massive blockbuster hit. The popularity of this movie franchise makes this one feel almost like a certainty more than any other on this list.

Marvel

Who wouldn't want to see Sora fighting alongside Iron Man, Captain America, or even Spider-Man? So many amazing arcs and storylines make sense for this crossover, such as the Battle of New York, teaming up with the X-Men, or a trippy journey through the multiverse. Plus, it would give the chance to provide Sora with a superpower or two in this fascinating world.

Versus XIII

This one is a bit of a stretch and not even a Disney-themed world, but Final Fantasy Versus XIII was a heavily cinematic game that eventually turned into Final Fantasy XV. But with the character Yozora likely a significant character in Kingdom Hearts 4 — who looks like this canceled/reworked game's early version of eventually Noctis — and the whole Verum Rex deal in 3, it feels like this is a chance to resurrect that game's moody world in a unique way. Perhaps even Quadratum itself could be a version of it that would give director Tetsuya Nomura a chance to showcase a glimpse of what Versus XIII could've been.

Kingdom Hearts 4 will release in the future. It has no confirmed platforms or release date.

Ulrika Dragon's Dogma 2In Dragon's Dogma 2, if you are to keep visiting the Dragon-prone Melve, then you will soon be tasked with finding Ulrika as she vanishes in the dead of the night, to the ire of the Overseer. To keep Lennart in his peace, you must go and find her. How to find Ulrika in Dragon's Dogma 2 Finding anyone in Dragon's Dogma 2 feels like trying to find a grain of sand on a beach. The world is so vast, and there are so many hiding spots, nooks, villages, and cities. Ulrika could have gone anywhere. Thankfully, you have likely visited this location before. Screenshot: PC Invasion In short, Ulrika is hiding out in Harve Village. You've likely gone there before as part of the Monster Culling quest from Captain Brant. If you haven't got around to it yet, or don't have the quest, then it's certainly worth picking up and/or making it a priority quest. Although you aim to find Ulrika, you may as well complete that other one while you're h...

Sven's Quarters In Dragon's Dogma 2You may have started the Ornate Box side quest and now need help locating Sven, who likes to move around to different locations. This guide covers where to find all Sven locations in Dragon's Dogma 2. All Sven locations in Dragon's Dogma 2 Players can find Sven in a handful of different locations, and the game gives almost no clues about where he could be. This is especially true when they must find him in his chambers. Here are all Sven locations in Dragon's Dogma 2. Sven location #1 Players will encounter Sven when entering Vernworth for the first time. He's impossible to miss, as the encounter with him is on the game's main path. During the quest "Seat of the Sovran," a short sequence shows Sven running away from a guard. You have the opportunity to lie for Sven or tell the guard where Sven is hiding. I recommend lying to the guard and protecting Sven, as this will lead to better rewards later in the game. Sven location #2 ...

Dragon's Dogma 2 Shadowed Prayers Quest GuideOne of the most frustrating quests in Dragon's Dogma 2 for me was Shadowed Prayers. To ensure you don't make the same mistake that I do, here's how to apprehend the assassin in the Dragon's Dogma 2 Shadowed Prayers quest. How to apprehend the assassin in Dragon's Dogma 2 Screenshot: PC Invasion To start the Shadowed Prayers quest, you need to Doze Off on a bench until it is morning. Right when it is morning, head over to the Flamebearer Palace. You'll automatically start talking to Menella and she'll tell you that your mission is to find the assassin before they kill Empress Nadinia. This quest is just as vague as whether or not you should sell gems. What I didn't know was that you need to go into your inventory and read the Bandit Bill of Arrest which you get after talking with Menella. This gives you a vague description of who the assassin is. You have time to look through the crowd of people on the steps and decide who the ...

How To Get A House In Dragons Dogma 2Many RPG games allow the player to own a place to call home, just like this one. So how can you get a house in Dragon's Dogma 2? There are a few different ones you can own, so here are all the homes you can buy. Dragon's Dogma 2: How to get all homes As we're making our way through Dragon's Dogma 2, we currently only know of a few homes you can purchase in Vernworth and Bakbattahl.      Dragon's Dogma 2 ElvishTo speak the tongue of the elves is to challenge linguistics and a little bit of gibberish. Here is how to speak to elves in Dragon's Dogma 2. Dragon's Dogma 2: How to speak elvish Before you try to learn elvish from the books of Tolkien or other fantasy writers, you have to know that your Arisen will never be able to speak to elves by themselves. You may be destined to recover your heart from a dragon, but speaking to elves in Dragon's Dogma 2 on your own merits is impossible. However, there is a way to circumvent this inconvenience which is using an interpreter. Translated to in-game mechanics, you will have to find a Pawn that has the Woodland Wordsmith specialization. This will automatically convert any Elvish dialogue and writing to English – or your selected language. If you are just starting up your journey, you will notice that your created Pawn will not have any specialization. Pawns learn specializations after you encounter and interact with s...
