The crash, which grounded the plane by damaging its left wing, occurred after Akemann ignored temporary drone restrictions in order to survey the Palisades fires before losing control. Thanks, Eurogamer. For first noticing the case, I mean. I'm not blaming Eurogamer for the drone crash. Not this one, anyway. The drone was traced back to Akemann, who has agreed to plead guilty to one count of unsafe operation of an unmanned aircraft. That's a misdemeanour that usually carries up to one year prison time, but he's "hoping to escape the prison term in exchange for 150 hours of community service in support of wildfire relief and the approximately $65,000 USD it cost to repair the plane," write Eurogamer, as part of a plea agreement. |

I follow the game's creator Venris on YouTube. He's co-developing this with Evil Gingerbread Studio but his other big project is the Total War: Warhammer III overhaul mod SFO, and it seems barely a month passes without some huge update to that. Venris once told me he mods for around "eight to 12 hours a day", though, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that this cult-shepherding roguelite is now available in Steam early access. Edwin described it as "Darkest Dungeon, but you're running the dungeon". That's better than anything I could come up with, so let's stick with that. |

It feels like the announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 was a long time coming. We've been anticipating it for a few years now, especially with the OG Switch now very much reaching the end of its lifecycle.
In fact, sales of the hybrid console suggest everyone's on tenterhooks, just waiting for the arrival of the Switch 2. In a recent financial report, Nintendo said that sales have decreased once more, with net profits down by 31.4% year-on-year.
A further statement in the report says that sales from the company's "game console business decreased by 31.7% year-on-year to 895.5 billion yen." Nintendo even saw a decrease in "mobile and IP related income," which is being blamed on a decrease in sales on the likes of The Super Mario Bros. Movie that was released in April 2023.
Switching over
Despite even sales of the Nintendo Switch OLED edition dropping when compared to the last financial year, it wasn't all bad news. Sure, sales of Nintendo first-party games also dipped somewhat, but the likes of Super Mario Jamboree and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe have now sold 6.17 million and 5.38 million units, respectively.
In fact, according to the report, Jamboree's "cumulative global sell-through" exceeded 5.6 million copies within the first eleven weeks of its release. This means it surpassed the "pace of sales" when compared to other Switch games like Super Mario Party and Mario Party Superstars.
However, the decline in sales overall won't come as a great surprise to many. It seems fairly clear that the gaming industry is just now waiting for the release of the Switch 2.
Nintendo announced the follow-up system recently, but we don't have a release date for it yet. We've been told it's coming sometime this year and that more details are to follow at the next Nintendo Direct, which is scheduled for April. No doubt, sales of the original Switch are only going to decline as we go forward.

Smite 2's early access has attracted a fair number of players across different platforms, and there is a healthy amount of choice available in the game.
Like Smite 1, you can play different roles based on your preferences, and each one has various options. The free-to-play beta phase already has over 50 Gods available, and some of them are simply better than the rest.
The tier list will help you to zero down on your mains, and invest your resources in a judicious fashion.
Smite 2 S-tier Gods
The S-tier list is all about the very best options currently available. These Gods are the absolute best choices in their respective roles, and they're almost 'broken' in the right hands in Smite 2.
Smite 2 A-tier Gods
These Gods are pretty powerful in the current meta, and some of them might be considered A-tier in their own dedicated roles. Once you manage to master them in Smite 2, they will help you get plenty of wins in the future.
Smite 2 B-tier Gods
These Gods are not as effective as the ones mentioned in the S-tier and the A-tier, but they can get the job done. Just don't expect them to be overpowered, and you'll also need to be pretty good at timing their abilities to get the most out of them.
I haven't elaborated about their strengths, because I don't think they're viable in the long run. However, I have mentioned their recommended roles.
Smite 2 C-tier Gods
If you don't care about wins, love these Gods, and just want to have a good time, go for it.
This tier list will be undergoing a lot of changes as Hi-Rez continues to make tweaks and alterations to the existing characters. Additionally, the emergence of a new God will also shift a few positions based on how effective they are on the meta.

For completing your Traveler's Log in February, you'll receive the Ornate Pink Lunar Festival Attire ensemble. It's a flashy new outfit to celebrate Lunar New Year in-game. It feels a little too specialized towards certain audiences, though. While my Pandaren Mage would love to rock the Lunar Festival attire, it doesn't look quite as spiffy on my orc hunter. The weapons, however, are top-notch.
As an added bonus, it's the two-two year anniversary of the Trading Post! You can earn an additional 500 Trader's Tender by completing another 1,000 points worth of Traveler's Log activities. Not only that, but an additional vendor is available with several returning items at discounted prices! We'll have a chart for all those items available at the end of the article.
Mercifully, the general Tender shop is fairly light on costs, so long as you're not doubling down on pets. But that sale of previous items is going to be difficult to resist. You might be better off getting anything from the sale first, as most of the seasonal items in the main shop will likely return next year.

Most of the time, you'll get a lot of points towards your goal of 1000 just by playing the game normally. But if you're looking to tear through them as fast as possible to get those shiny new rewards, we understand. That's why we have this list of the best ways to get those points.
Timewalking offers quick and easy points every time it's available. With the Turbulent Timeways event going on right now, there's a different Timewalking event every week for the rest of the month. It shouldn't be a problem to knock these out every week for easy points. Replace Classic with Burning Crusade for next week, and so on. Plus, Lunar Festival and Love is in the Air events are going on now, making things even easier!
The Trading Post is World of Warcraft's Battle Pass, kind of
For those of you who might just be coming back for The War Within, The Trading Post is a monthly activity that's very similar to a Battle Pass, but it's free. It's accessible via the Adventure Journal (CTRL+J). Complete different objectives within it and earn points. Fill the progress bar by the end of the month, and you'll earn a unique reward along with Traders Tender.
You'll find The Trading Post and a treasure chest in your capital city, as well as Dornogal. You get 500 Trader's Tender each month, and the opportunity to earn another 500 through the Adventure Journal. There's sometimes an extra way to earn more Tender, like pre-ordering the Epic Edition of The War Within. As a new month starts, these items rotate out for a new list. You have the opportunity to freeze one item you can't afford and hold it for months. But if you miss out on something else you wanted, don't stress! Most items return at some point.
What's returning for the Trading Post Anniversary special vendors?
In Dornogal, a short distance from the normal Trading Post vendors are some new ones. These special vendors offer selections of previously available items, most at discounted rates. We have a full list of those items for you below.
Previous Monthly Rewards
Every month, completing 1000 points on your Adventurer's Journal gets you a special reward. Several of them have never been made available again until now. These aren't offered at any sort of discount, and the cost is quite steep. Make sure you REALLY want this item if you missed out on it earlier.
