Ark Survival Ascended Lost Colony is set in a major new location, tees up Ark 2

Ark Survival Ascended has been steadily making its way through all of Survival Evolved's expansions, remastering and re-releasing them as it goes. Many thought that once Survival Ascended had ticked every last bit of Survival Evolved content off its list, it'd be time for Ark 2, but unfortunately the whereabouts of its highly anticipated sequel are still unknown. Instead, players are for the first time getting a completely original, all-new expansion to Ark Survival Ascended called Lost Colony, and while its star-studded cast and icy new world is enough to get excited about, it'll also feature some "fan-favorite characters" and tee up the story for Ark 2. Oh, and Studio Wildcard has confirmed when it'll be releasing too.

Microsoft says devs will decide if AI help in games like Overwatch 2 is

The use of third-party assistant tools and overlays in multiplayer PC games is a contentious topic. Giving you personalized views of match data, providing pick rate stats for characters, or tracking your stats over time, they can be useful aids, but they can often give unfair advantages. Many multiplayer games have outlawed them and labeled them as forms of cheating - Marvel Rivals is the most recent example with Netease banning their use despite their popularity. The hero shooter's main rival Overwatch 2, also doesn't allow them. However, in a presentation at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, Microsoft has talked more about its Copilot AI "exploration" that sees its own software coach players, provide tips, and give hero pick suggestions in real time while playing Overwatch 2.

Monster Hunter BBQ Timer

Consumers have another opportunity to get their hands on the Monster Hunter BBQ Grill Timer. Released in December 2024, the is now available to pre-order and will release in April 2025 to celebrate the release of Monster Hunter Wilds. It will cost 3,498 yen or around $24. International shipping for this item is available.

Those within Japan will be able to purchase the Monster Hunter BBQ Grill Timer at FamilyMart locations in Japan. However, not all stores will stock the item. So the best course of action might just be to pre-order the timer and wait for it to ship.

The timer can be set to 99 minutes, and 10 minutes before it goes off, it will play the iconic voice line that accompanies perfectly preparing a steak. It can also be used to track time, which gives it a dual purpose at the very least. Consumers can even turn the meat on the spit if they really want to recreate the feeling of participating in what was once a required step in hunting.

Leading up to the release of Monster Hunter Wilds, Sony announced a special bundle would appear for PlayStation 5 consoles. This included a special faceplate for the console, and control. However, it was limited to Japan.
