umamusume lawson

Convenience store chain Lawson announced a new collaboration with Umamusume: Pretty Derby in Japan. It starts ‌today—August 19, 2025—and features four different Umamusume. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The four Umamusume who appear on the collaboration merchandise at Lawson are: Mejiro McQueen, Dantsu Flame, Chrono Genesis, and Win Variation. All of them are holding either Takenoko no Sato or Kinoko no Yama snacks. Of these four, Mejiro McQueen is the only one who's in the global version. Global fans can also see who Dantsu Flame is in the Beginning of a New Era movie, where she appears as protagonist Jungle Pocket's friend and rival. She is also the only one of the Umamusume to offer the viewer a candy, whereas the others are content to simply pose with them.

As for the collaboration, purchasing three different candies that are part of the campaign can net you an original clear folder, with five possible variations to choose from. You can also get special Kinoko no Yama or Takenoko no Sato snacks that have an Umamusume on the cover, and these boxes also contain miniature acrylic stands. For example, if you buy the Takenoko no Sato box with Chrono Genesis on it, you'll receive a Chrono Genesis acrylic stand. You can also buy a larger acrylic stand for 1650 JPY ($11.20) each.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is available on the Windows PC and mobile devices.

Oshi no Ko Bang Dream English Crossover Heads to Global Version

Bushiroad announced that about 10 months after the Oshi no Ko Part 1 crossover appeared in the Japanese version of Bang Dream, it will show up in English in the global version. Things kick off on August 27, 2025. As a reminder, this isn't a full event, so we'll just see things like two themed Spotlight Cards in the gacha and music from the Oshi no Ko anime.

This crossover originally started in Japan on October 4, 2025. Two five-star cards appeared in the gacha as part of it. One involved Aya Maruyama from Pastel Palettes dressed as Ai Hoshino. (That's a "Cool" type card.) The other dressed up Kaoru Seta from Hello Happy World as Akane Kurokawa portraying Princess Saya from the Tokyo Blade stageplay in-series. (That is a "Pure" card.)

Here's how all four of the official pieces of art from the Oshi no Ko Part 1 cards looked like when they appeared in Bang Dream Japan, and they should look identical in the English crossover in the global version. The ones on the left are normal, and the right are trained.

We also know one song from the Oshi no Ko anime will definitely be added to the game as part of the event. We will get to play through the Pastel Palettes cover of "Sign wa B." The theme song "Idol" is already in the game.

Bang Dream is available on mobile devices worldwide, and the Oshi no Ko Part 1 crossover banner and music will debut on August 27, 2025. The Oshi no Ko anime is streaming on HIDIVE, and Yen Press handles the manga.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Joy

At this point in Disney Dreamlight Valley's Inside Out storyline, we've made a cozy pillow fort for Sadness and discovered multiple pieces of a mysterious plush bear. Although we haven't fully uncovered its origins or parts, Joy is here to help you organize your thoughts through the Imagination Lands quest.

Starting the Imagination Land quest

Joy's Imagination Land quest has the following requirements:

  • Complete Sadness's level four friendship quest, The Fortress of Saditude
  • Reach level seven friendship with Joy
  • Unlock The Fairy Godmother as a Valley villager and complete her friendship quests
  • Unlock every Disney Dreamlight Valley biome

Once you've met all of these prerequisites, you'll be ready to begin the quest by talking to Joy.

Find the Forgotten Lands Biome Plans

Following a quick conversation with Joy, she decides that the Forgotten Lands needs a transformation to add some cheeriness to it. The two of you will travel to this biome before searching for some Forgotten Lands Biome Plans within the Fairy Godmother's home.

The Forgotten Lands Biome Plans will appear in her house as a blank sheet of paper, much like a memory page in new regions and realms. Rather than turning into a memory, you'll collect it as-is, letting you return to Joy to progress the quest.

Remove Green Fires and Night Thorns from the Forgotten Lands

Once you give Joy the biome plans paper, she'll promptly ask you to help clear away the fire and night thorns spreading throughout the Forgotten Lands. By this point in the game's storyline, you'll already have the means to do so, making this a relatively simple task if you've let the biome go for a while.

However, there's a chance you won't have many green fires or night thorns, especially if you actively care for the biome or have a lot of decorations scattered about. In this case, you may need to remove some items temporarily, clear away some paths, or wait for more to appear.

Craft the Imagination Land Arch

Once you clean up the Forgotten Lands a bit, you'll be ready to help Joy create Imagination Land. First, she'll ask you for an arch, requiring you to gather the following resources:

  • Topaz (3)
  • Dark Wood (10)
  • Yellow Nasturtium (2)

Topaz is an early-game resource you can mine from Plaza rocks. Dark wood and Nasturtiums both appear exclusively in the Forgotten Lands, with the former spawning around trees and the latter randomly growing throughout the biome.

With all three items on hand, head to any crafting station, go to Furniture, and select the Imagination Arch before making it. You can now return to Joy with it, leading her to come up with another task for you to tackle.

Craft Sunflower and Daisy pots

Next up on the list is making some Sunflower and Daisy pots using the following materials:

  • Sunflowers (10)
  • Yellow Daisies (20)
  • Flower pots (10)

If you're low on either of these flowers, you'll need to wait until enough spawn throughout the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow before you can start crafting. If you're unlucky, this can take hours or even days to complete.

Here are some tips to make the process quicker:

  • Go into Furniture Mode to get a birds-eye view of the map. A different perspective can help you spot flowers hidden behind objects.
  • Move buildings and decorations around in case flowers are hiding behind them.
  • Pick every flower in both biomes before leaving to complete other quests or perform side tasks. This'll raise the spawn cap for each area, giving you greater odds of finding the flowers you're looking for.

You'll also need 60 clay and 20 soil for the flower pots. The easiest way to find clay is by digging Wildebeest bones in the Sunlit Plateau or purchasing some from Kristoff's stall. Soil is much easier to find, as you can dig in any biome to acquire some.

Once you have every required resource, head back to your crafting station, make ten flower pots, and craft the Sunflower and Daisy pots before returning to Joy.

Removing more Night Thorns

Now that we've delivered the sunflower and daisy pots and Imagination Land arch, it's time to decorate the Forgotten Lands with them. Upon doing so, you'll take a picture with Joy before noticing multiple night thorns appearing out of nowhere.

Cleaning up the night thorns will reveal plush bear yarn buried underneath. Talking to Merlin and Joy about this will conclude the Imagination Land quest and prepare you for Sadness's next mission.
